Chapter Five
Meanwhile, back with Jack, Devina, Sharky, Pandora and Sonia, the five mutants stood their ground against the dealers and the addicts.
Many just stared at them wondering if it was all a hallucination, but the dealer in clown make up just glared.
"You think you can just walk in here and interfere with my business?" he glowered "Well," he produced a bowie knife and licked his lips "You made a big mistake!"
At the same time, a female dealer with blonde hair and also wearing clown make up stood up and swung a baseball bat.
"We're gonna cut you nice and good and feed ya to the dogs!" she squealed.
Jack rolled his eyes.
"Oh great! Joker and Harley Quinn!"
Devina scoffed.
"Is that what you call yourselves?" she asked, "Or is it because it's almost Halloween you're going with the theme?"
Sharky just glared.
"I don't care what they think they are or call themselves! They're going down!" he spat.
"Not before you, Big Mouth!" the female clown jeered.
Sharky growled then before anyone could stop him, he went straight for the clown dealers, Jack, Devina, Pandora and Sonia were stunned as Sharky opened his mouth and began to chew through a wooden table to get to them sending up splinters as he did so!
At the same time, the clown dealers and their accomplices got into action and took out weapons to fight.
"Take them down!" the male clown dealer shouted as he jumped to the side, yet the female clown dealer decided to face Sharky with her baseball bat.
At once the other mutants got into action.
Devina decided to fight with her hands and feet relying on her vampire strength.
Jack welded his blades as he fought two dealers at once.
Pandora managed to knock two addicts down with Mr Swinger and used her tail to stab and strike at some who tried to attack her from behind.
Sonia got clever and used her tongue to pick up smaller items around the room to throw at anyone who came their way as well as strike a few who came close to her, but she kept her sword up to fight as well.
Sharky soon made it to the clown woman and swiped at her with one of his twin tomahawks but she jumped back to avoid it and held up her bat before striking him on the nose stunning him!
Sharky recoiled and blinked as he was briefly stunned, but it gave the dealer the chance to hit him again with the bat making him fall to the ground.
The clown woman laughed manically and held up her bat to strike him again.
"I do love shark soup!" she cried, but before she could throw her weapon down on him, she felt it get wrenched from her hand and she turned to see Sonia standing nearby and pulling it back to her with her tongue before catching it with her free hand!
"What in the name of magic mushrooms!?" the clown woman cried but she then recoiled as Sonia struck out with her tongue again and hit her shoulder.
"Taking a warrior when he's down?" the chameleon demanded "No honour coward!"
The clown woman glared and held up her fists as Sonia lashed out with her tounge again, but before she could pull it back the woman grabbed it!
"Aaacck!" Sonia gasped and the woman smirked.
"What's the matter? Clown got your tongue?" she asked then held up a butcher knife "How about I cut it out!? See who's laughing then?"
Sonia glared and pulled back as hard as she could with her tongue causing the clown woman to stumble and she swung the baseball bat at the woman striking her arm making her drop the knife as well as let go of her tongue.
Sonia pulled her tongue back into her mouth then kicked the clown woman hard in the stomach making her fall back winded.
After taking care of the woman, Sonia instantly checked on Sharky.
"You, okay?" she asked.
"Yeah! Thanks kid!" Sharky replied gratefully then stood up to get back into the fight.
Sonia felt a sense of pride as Sharky joined Devina, Jack and Pandora but before she could think about joining him, she saw the ball end of Mr Swinger fly past her face, and she heard a grunt behind her followed by a thump!
Sonia looked around and she saw the clown woman lying unconscious behind her then turned to see Pandora holding the ball.
"Never turn your back on an enemy, Sonia!" the hybrid barked "Eyes open! Can't protect you all the time!"
"Thanks!" Sonia said gratefully before turning to another thug with her sword.
The battle was short as all the mutants managed to take down all the dealers and the addicts, yet the male clown dealer was still standing as he held up his bowie knife.
"You're not gonna take me alive!" he glowered.
"Nowhere to run clown!" Jack snarled "We can do this the easy way, or the hard way!"
"I suggest the former!" Devina advised "There's one of you and five of us, and you saw how we took down your goons and your girlfriend!"
The clown man glowered and held up his knife.
"If I'm going down! I'm taking at least one of you with me!"
"Fat chance!" Pandora hissed as she held up her bloodied clawed hands.
Jack turned to Pandora to tell her to be quiet, but before he could say anything the clown turned to her and went straight for her before anyone could move!
Pandora was alarmed but she moved quickly and ran towards him!
"Pandora no!" everyone shouted at once but as the Clown man thrust his knife at her she ducked and slashed her claws at him, catching his clothes as well as his face creating deep gnashes!
The clown man yelled and dropped his knife as he grabbed at his wounds, and that gave Pandora a chance to turn around and jump on his back making him fall forward flat on his face.
The young hybrid smirked and licked her lips.
"You thought you'd take me on huh?" she mocked "Well, you thought wrong!"
"Pandora!" Jack went over to the hybrid, but Pandora continued to taunt the clown dealer then held up her clawed hand.
"Hmmm, I think I'll make an improvement on your face!" she lowered her claws to the clown man's face and hooked her metal clawed index finger to the edge of his mouth.
"Let's put a smile on that face!" she snickered.
"Pandora!" Jack barked and grabbed the hybrid before pulling her off then he used the hilt of his scimitar to knock the clown man out cold.
"Hey!" Pandora protested.
Sharky, Devina and Sonia looked at the hybrid in bewilderment as well as shock at what she was going to do, and Jack folded his arms.
"Hamato Pandora!" the wolf exclaimed "Where the hell did all this come from? Since when do you decide to torture or disfigure people?"
"Why not?" Pandora asked, "He deserved it!"
Jack was about to reply when Sonia looked over at the frightened boys who had been hiding behind a filthy sofa.
"Guys." She said "What about them? They just witnessed everything! And they're terrified!"
Devina sighed and walked over to the boys whilst Jack and Sharky turned to Pandora.
"We need to have a talk kid!" Jack said sternly.
Pandora looked rather shocked as he and Sharky lead her and Sonia out of the drug den whilst Devina went to talk to the boys as well as alert the police to the location.
When they got outside, Jack, Sharky, Pandora and Sonia quickly went into a dark alleyway to hide and Jack turned to face Pandora.
"Geisha! Why were you going to disfigure that man?" he asked.
"I wanted to make him suffer." Pandora replied, "he hurt people as well as was exploiting those kids!"
Sharky shook his head.
"You're thirteen kid!" he said "And it bothers me you're so bloodthirsty!"
"I've been brought up around violence and stuff!" Pandora answered, "I'm a ninja in training remember?"
"That's all very well!" Jack said "But there are lines we shouldn't cross! What sort of things have you been doing back in New York?"
"I've killed ninja and purple dragons." Pandora replied, "whether through Mr Swinger, or my claws and tail blade."
"But have you ever done more damage?" Jack demanded.
Pandora looked down then back up at the wolf.
"No that was the first."
"Honest?" Sharky and Jack asked in unison.
Pandora nodded fervently.
"You can ask mum, dad and uncles!" she insisted.
Sharky was about to speak when he saw Devina coming out of the basement to join them.
"Devina?" he asked, "Where are the boys?"
"They refused to come with me." Devina replied, "But what I did find out was that they were the sons of two of the addicts, they had been dragged there as they had been hoarding stolen goods to pay for the drugs!"
Sharky glowered again.
"You know what?" he snarled "Maybe we should have let Pandora torture that Clown fucker! And the good for nothing parents too!"
"Sharky!" Jack barked "No way! We're not Diablo!"
"Guys! Save the argument for later!" Devina said, "Right now, we need to go before the police arrive, the boys will be looked after when they do, and I'm sure Hugh will inform us of what happens afterwards!"
Jack sighed.
"Alright." He said then patted Sharky's shoulder, he then got a message on his phone as it bleeped.
"It's the boss!" he said, "We need to meet up again at his location and report!"
"Okay, let's go!" Devina said as she transformed into her beast form and took to the air to get to the rooftops.
Jack, Sharky, Sonia and Pandora followed suit.
'We're still gonna talk about what happened Pandora!" Jack reminded the hybrid.
So Jack, Sharky, Devina, Pandora and Sonia have succeeded on their mission and taken down the addicts and the dealers!
But Pandora, as much as she looks out for her friends in battle, has shown a rather scary side to her character which has worried Jack and the others, more than likely he'll be reporting back to Tyroth.
Gotta feel sorry for those kids in the drug den, and sadly it does happen, kids are dragged into commiting crime for their parents if they're drug addicts if they're not being neglected enough already.
Also, as I mentioned above, the theme and reference was the Joker and Harley Quinn! The head clown dealers and quoted as such by Jack! And also when Pandora said 'Let's put a smile on that face' was spoken by the Joker in the film 'The Dark Knight' played by the late Heath Ledger.
