Everyone was scrambling around the duo like blurrs unsure who to send out when Shinohara, Akira, Takizawa and Amon stopped to look at the calm lovers.
"Centipede was this your doing and you kept it secret?" wonders Shinohara.
"Saiko and I only saw Hide in the dark basement with flesh around him. I rescued his ass then in an attempt to get masks, you degrading humans brought us here to use us as pawns." mutters Kuraim(Ken1).
"Then, know any ghouls who would go after Kanou since there was no body found?" wonders Akira crossing her arms.
"She's not a ghoul yet she sure enjoys pain and suffering if her family was in jeopardy." says Kuraim(Ken1).
"Who have you been living with besides your lonely rabbit...lover?" wonders Akira.
"I started off living with a human with a ghoul's mindset and a timid black haired male. Seems like the perfect family with my back story. The names are Yuno and Yukiteru, Yuki for short. Just after meeting the bluette waitress, they decided I live with Hide for the remainder of my time away from doves. I was sketchy about Kanou yet there was no signs of him being in any hospitals until my hunger got the better of me and I slipped away. In mere moments, Hide was taken and experimented on while I was stuck with new faces." mutters Kuraim(Ken1).
"You all had to hear it by now. Ken had a horrible past, wanted to renew himself with humans that fit his way of life, things seemed fine with me monitoring him even if looks are deceiving to you loyal warriors of ghoul troubles. ...Don't put us back in cochlea over soemthing like rescuing my sorry ass from the senile old man. He got what he deserved in our opinion." says Rabbit Scarecrow.
Shinohara dialed up Arima's office from his phone and told Arima who the possible culprits were. Two humans who had Ginshi with them. It was a wonder why Ginshi wasnt going about the building. The crazy human woman forced him to tend to her killer needs. Yet humans weren't the prime culprits for human killings. What did this mean for the doves? Nothing good if a human was acting like both a dove and ghoul while Hide and the twins were able to become doves to a point.
'Seems things are symmetrical. We went from going to Anteiku to chat to being under the same roof to Becoming workers for CCG while Yuno gets to have fun doing the dirty work to get these guys' attention.' was written on the cell phone.
"That's one way of looking at our time together." thinks Kuraim(Ken1) sighing unamused.
'It's the only thing plausible. Yuno wants things her way and now that you were taken in, she wants to be face to face with your enemy, good hearted or not.' was written on the cell phone.
Kuraim(Ken1) didnt reply right away.
"...yeah. Some doves have good hearts yet so many innocent ghouls died to keep biased peace." mumbles Kuraim(Ken1).
"Yuno is a 1 person killing machine. She will demand to see her boys whether she barges in or you bring her." says Juuzou appearing out of nowhere.
Kuraim(Ken1) reverted his eyes.
"So who's bringing her in? Shinohara? Amon? There's only so many daring workers." chuckles Juuzou.
"Juuzou, Shinohara and Ke-Kuraim! Shinohara will see what makes having Kuraim around so amazing." says Rabbit Scarecrow to his coworkers.
"A kakuja as a coworker is already a far stretch." says Amon.
"Dude will need a quinque if he's gonna become the quinx squad leader." says Rabbit Scarecrow.
"Me with a quinque? I could never imagine that! We look like quinx but we're already standing out to much. Hide would need one too and I'm not sure what suits rinkaku and ukaku users." says Kuraim(Ken1) freaking out, "Fighting will give Hide some experience and he sure needs something to do that isnt staring at walls or paper work. But you forced Hide into the ghoul role and me into the investigator role so having quinques would be useless. Its weird enough noone sits with us during lunch break aside from Juuzou."
"You're my only bodyguard in the apartment housing." says Rabbit Scarecrow taken aback.
"I know. I will be on missions though so you need something to defend yourself with. Enranged dove or pissed off ghoul who enters the buiilding." says Kuraim(Ken1), "In all seriousness, what quinques would be appropriate for rinkaku and ukaku users? Yeah, I'm used to tubby Hide but as fat as he gets, he will need a weapon on hand. I cant always babysit him and I'm sure the only quinx willing to be around the blonde are Saiko and shark boy-GInshi."
"We'll have to think over that but currently, we need your estranged parents in custody." says Akira.
"Thanks for the heads up Hide." says Kuraim(Ken1) whacking Rabbit Scarecrow's head.
"Whaaaaat? Arima took interest in you the most so of course you need to look the part. Not so much me yet I will need training. Just our luck." says Rabbit Scarerow pouting.
"You two must know eachothers thoughts with weird ass mindsets like yours. The anomaly seems normal for the most part yet headquarters and you dont fit." says Shinohara.
"Im in a love hate relationship with mine." says Kuraim(Ken1).
"I roll with it. Is there a way to up my portion? Give me human instead. Kuraim thinks ghoul meat is like protein shakes to humans. Im losing the weight his tentacles enjoy probing." says Rabbit Scarecrow.
"No. Doves dont kill humans to benefit ghouls who should've been killed." says Shinohara.
"Ouch. My pride." say Rabbit Scarecrow and Kuraim(Ken1); one sounding sarcastic while the other acted hurt.
"We'll have to talk it out with those teens you claim as 'Half Ghoul' backup. Half ghouls eat like humans so there's a plus while you two eat human like full fledged ghouls. What good will having quinx underlings do?" says Akira eyeing the ghouls.
"A family life for one." says Juuzou.
"Still on about that." groans Shinohara, "Men cant get pregnant and Arima refused to create a child for the ghouls. Thanks to the anomaly's interference with this world, Hide is anomaly #2 and now we have to treat them like humans. The anomaly destroyed what humanity Hide had left so how would we beable to band together to bring in your so called parents?"
"Arima told me to treat the Kanekis like family if he is to be the father figure. Me having grandkids at my age and a ghoul at that, sounds impossible." says Akira.
"Our kids will be Yuno and Yuki's grandkids impudent doves. They see us as equals not you. Unless you can provide a meal that caters to ghouls." mutters Kuraim(Ken1).
"If we did that, you will horde the meals for Nagachika." says Akira glaring at the boys.
"There's something called experimental human meat." thinks Hide.
"I want a synthetic human meat for Hide to be well fed. You wouldn't want to see arms and legs all over the apartment?" says Kuraim(Ken1).
A cough was heard.
"Muscles look better on me than him anyway. Muscles look foreign on Hide's flabby soft body." says Kuraim(Ken1) going quiet toward the end.
"I'll take Grumpy to our room. Happy and Grumpy made a bad decision forming ideas with killers around us. If I arrived with a gullet, I'd have to keep up appearances. His resentment involves cycle 1 treatment and its leaking-pouring into this building where no trust is shown. You guys should work on that. Considering your recruit is a ghoul now. No favoritsms though. Arima does that enough for the Nekis. Bye faithful friends and frenemies." says Rabbit Scarecrow grabbing Kuraim(Ken1)'s hand.
Before the workers could say anything more, the ghouls fled to Saiko's room. Hide and Ken knew Saiko didnt care if they visited though they did forget about the 2 others watching their movement; awkward stare from Mutsuki and death stare from Urie.
"We were conversing ghoul scum!" says Urie.
"They arent scum by choice as Saiko put it. The white head is actually pretty cu-"
"Eat up meat lover." says Ken unamused, eyes on Hide, forcing him toward a wall.
Hide looked around for the camera with Ken urging him to focus on his arm. Ken badly wanted to break the cameras and let Hide feast in his own disturbing way. He couldnt play Centipede feeds his prey with quinx watching like surveillance ticking away at the madness. All Hide could do was stare at the glaring daggers teen and quiet yet concerned teen uncertain about the timing when work came first. Ken kept snapping his fingers to get Hides attention only to see a blank stare with no mouth movement.
Ken was confused at first before looking back at the anger issues teen and and soft spoken yet somewhat deadly teen. All 3 quinx were in the room chatting when he shoved Hide into the room after claiming they were heading to theirs.
"Hey bug demon, you gonna act like our mentor? Centipede might hate it but you'll get to cook for us 'Maman'." says Saiko.
Hide and Ken blushed madly as Ken set his arm down.
"If I'm Maman, what is Hide?" wonders Ken growing concerned about Hides body type.
"He would be papa." says Saiko shrugging, "Hide needs a dad bod."
"You're already calling them parents!? They're not that much older than us lazy bum!" says Urie taken aback.
"Hide is back in his routine albeit, he cant be human around us." says Mutsuki.
"They are the enemy. Enemies who were granted work roles." growls Urie.
"You're not going to gang up and attack us. My ukaku can only carry me so far. Downside is chubby belly that needs nourishing. Upside is Kaneki knows how to go about it if you comply with him. Fresh human and ghoul; Ghoul meat for Maman and Human meat for bubbly buddy...Papa." says Hide sheepishly.
