Artemis POV

I thought he would immediately say yes. I mean why not? All the males love hanging out with girls, and hanging out with 16 of them every day! Well, it's just a man's dream come true! Typical males.

Instead, he asked Father a question.

"W-what does La-Lady Artemis think of this?" Perseus asked.

"Oh she agrees, DON'T YOU ARTEMIS?" Father asked. Even though I don't, I still needed to say yes, or be punished.

"Yes," I replied through gritted teeth. Well, I guess my answer wasn't very convincing because Perseus' eyes widened in fear and he slowly started to back away.

"Please Lord Zeus," whimpered Percy. "Please no!" Father seemed confused as to why Perseus was acting so scared.

"Why Perseus?" asked Father

"She hates men. All men!"

"Oh," was all Father could say. "Well, as made an exception. Go flash him to the hunters camp daughter." I made my way towards Perseus, but as soon as I grabbed his shoulder to flash him, he screamed. A high, blood-curling scream that hurt all their ears. He backed off Andi knew he was frightened of me. Well good! He should be! She went towards him again, and once again, he backed off.

"Lord Zeus," Perseus said. "Please have mercy."

"I do Perseus. That's why I am giving you a new purpose."

"No." He screamed again. When he next spoke, however, his voice was a whisper.

"She won't kill me." He whispered, yet everyone could hear. "She'll drive me insane. She'll torture me, harm me, and only then will she grant me my wish." These words harmed me. Is that really what he thought? I may be a man-hating Goddess, but I'm not that harsh….

Or am I? I moved towards him again in an attempt to flash out of here. BIG MISTAKE! Instead, Perseus ran away from me, till he reached the door. He was cornered. When I touched him, his body slipped, and he lay sprawled all over the floor. He had fainted.

Percy POV

When I woke up, it took me a second to realise what had happened. I was in a shining temple, where I lay on a bed, tired and weak. Then, I remembered how Artemis had been trying to kill me. I must be in Apollo's temple after I fainted!

"Whoa cuz," came a voice from behind me. "Easy now. We can't have you faint again." I looked behind me and saw Apollo. He was smiling at me, yet there was worry in the smile.

"C'mon," he said. "Let's go back to the others."

Together, we went back to the throne room and saw 3 god's in a deep argument. Zeus, Father and Artemis. When they saw me, they stopped, yet still were angry. Zeus shifted uncomfortably in his sweet.

"Perseus," he said. "Artemis has agreed not to kill you, mentally or physically. She will also ensure that her hunters don't harm you. Now off you go."

"Wait," shouted Apollo, as I started turning around. "Before you go, I wish to bless you." Bless me! Why would anyone bless me? I turned around, just to get hit by a beam of yellow light.

"You will be better at singing now," Apollo told me.

I thought that singing was pretty useless, but I decided to say thanks anyway. One by one, the Gods and Goddesses each blessed me with new abilities. Hera allowed me to sense strong relationships and bonds. Ares gave me the ability to analyse any weapon, finding its weakness. Athena gave me better analysing skills and more knowledge in general. Dionysus made me immune to most types of madness. Hades allowed me to summon the dead, though in very few numbers. Zeus gave me the ability to fly in his domain and Posideon allowed me to call the ocean from much farther away which helps. Hermes made me faster. Hestia allowed me to summon food, but only food that could be cooked by fire and Demeter allowed me to triple the speed at which plants grow. Finally, Aphrodite stood up, and from her smile, I already knew what would happen.

"My turn!" she exclaimed, and she shot a beam, as white as a dove, at me. My body glowed for a few seconds, then went back to normal. She then flicked her hand, and a mirror appeared in front of me. What I saw there made my jaw drop. It was me, but without all the flaws. I had no zits, a good tan, and shining, straight teeth. My body was way more muscular, and I even had an eight pack! It was what I had seen all those years ago on Circe's island, yet this time, it was true.

"Whoa," I said, and looked around at all the Gods. Every Goddess was blushing. Even the man-hating Goddesses Artemis! Aphrodite was drooling at me and seemed happy. Everyone had blessed me but Artemis. It seemed like I was ready to go. Artemis slowly made her way towards me.

"Come on boy, it's time to leave," she muttered.

"Where will we go?" I asked.

"Your Father seems that it is necessary to tell your parents about you joining the hunt, so I will flash you there.

Artemis POV

When I told Perseus that we would be going to his parents, I expected him to leap for joy, or be happy. What I did not expect was for tears to stream out of his eyes.

"No," he sobbed out. "I can't."

"Percy why," Poseidon asked, his eyebrows knitted in confusion. Instead, he lifted his arm and showed Artemis the message. She read it out loud.

"His family shall never remember him again."

Perseus fell to the floor and started sobbing, his head on his knees. After a while, Hestia came up to him and pulled him up. She didn't say anything. She just pulled him into a hug.

"I'm so, so, sorry Perseus," she whispered into his ear, and started saying soothing words into his ears, coaxing him to relax. When he finally stopped crying, he stepped back and looked at Hestia.

"I, Lady Hestia, adopt Perseus Jackson. I will be his adopted mother and NO ONE can stop me. From now on, he is mine."

Everyone stared in awe as Hestia gave Perseus one last hug.

"Percy," Zeus gently said to him. "We need you to say the oath of the guardian." My guardian, slowly shaking, began to copy my father.

"On behalf of the Styx, Acheron, Lethe, Phlegethon and Cocytus, I, Perseus Jackson, pledge myself to the Goddess Artemis. I turn my back to the world and will live as Artemis decrees me. I will protect the hunt since today until Doomsday. Should I betray or abandon her, then I shall be cast into the void and cease my existence."

A pretty big oath. Then, before he could protest, I grabbed his shoulder and flashed him into the hunters camp. Instead of walking straight to the hunters, I bring Perseus round to the side and tell him to wait there until I call for him to come. Then, I walk to my hunters to tell them of the news.

Thalia was the first to see me.

"Milady Where have you been," she asked. All I said to her was, "Gather up all the hunters in the dining room. I have some news." And with that, I made my way to the dining room. Once I was there, it took only 3 minutes for the rest of the hunters to come to me. Once I was certain they were here, I immediately launched into my story before anyone could even ask. It took a whole 5 minutes to explain to everyone from how I had found Perseus lying in his blood, to him being made our guardian. When I had finished, all the hunters immediately exploded out in rage.

"Where is this," said Phoebe. " I will kill him right now."

"We don't even need a guardian," said another.

"Send him to Tartarus," the third bellowed. One by one that all insulted him, except Thalia. I looked at her and was surprised when I saw a tear trickle down her cheek. Of course! How could I have been so stupid! These hunters were making fun of my Lieutenant's friend and cousin. Silence" I yelled, and the bickering died down.

"Come forth Perseus Jackson, and meet your sisters."
