A/N: To Radcliffe, because you support me even if I write JCS slash.
To Ducks, thanks for everything you've ever done for me. If I wrote a billion author's notes, you'd be in every one. I love you.
Disclaimer: I own nothing… unfortunately. Glenn Carter's Jesus owns my heart, not vice versa. "Love is a force of nature" tagline from Brokeback Mountain.
The first time he looked into the eyes of Judas Iscariot, he had known that he was not like the others. He was a sceptic, sometimes Jesus had no idea whether he believed or not.
Yet, Judas had chosen to follow him.
Why? Jesus felt deep down inside that not even Judas himself knew that.
As he stood there in the middle of the beautiful garden, he came to think of the only time Judas had really confused him. It was on their way to Jerusalem, they had stopped to rest and after a while Jesus had noticed Judas standing underneath an old tree far from the group. He had gone over to him, silently studying the landscape in front of them. Then all of the sudden Judas had spoken six words, then fallen silent.
"Love is a force of nature."
For the first time Jesus had no idea what Judas meant. In all other situations, he would know exactly why Judas did what he did, even now when he knew Judas was on his way here with a group of soldiers to arrest him! But those six words…
Because he couldn't possibly have been talking about…? No.
Suddenly, he heard a branch snap, he looked up and there was Judas, ready to fulfil his destiny. He came over to him. Jesus shook his head slightly, trying to say "You don't have to do this" but he knew it was a lie. And Judas hated when people lied to him. Jesus waited for a confirmation of the betrayal, a laughter, a word; anything! When the confirmation eventually came, he was taken aback, for the confirmation was not only for betrayal, but also for whathe had been talking about that day. As he felt Judas soft lips against his own, the respond came immediately; he kissed him back, tasted as much as possible. So this was lust? They broke apart. Everything was just a blur until Judas collapsed in his arms, the most wonderful thing he had ever felt. He tried to calm him, wanted to tell him that it would all be alright, but then, Judas hated it when he lied.
