Artemis POV
"Aphrodite," I screamed out loud, suddenly standing up, dropping the young hunter that had been next to me. There were no words to describe the sheer anger that I was feeling. 5 minutes ago, I had no energy, but now, energy was swirling around me, fueling me along with revenge. Aphrodite did thi, eh? Well I will LOVE to see how she will react to what I will do to her.
"Let's just sit down and converse about this, Millady," Thalia spoke to me, soothingly. Well there was nothing that could calm me down now. NOTHING! I will have my sweet revenge.
Raising my hand, my bow appeared in my hand. I could hear the begging and pleading of the hunters, crying out loud for me to stay here. I was having none of it. Tartarus himself could come and cry with hunters, and it wouldn't even faze me. To be honest, Tartarus would probably make me even more annoyed.
It was time for me to show Aphrodite what happens to filthy cheaters and sluts. This was my last thought before I flashed to Aphrodite's temple.
Apollo's POV
There was literally hell in the throne room. Perhaps Hades was playing some trick, but I thought not. Everyone was arguing and taking sides. Currently, everyone was on the "murder Aphrodite" side, even father, except father was also on the "no kill Artemis" side, by himself. I wasn't too sure. Aphrodite would definitely get some arrows in the head from me, but I'll leave Artemis alson until I have proof of her causing Persues to leave. You didn't need to be the god of prophecy to know that the chances of finding Percy were near zero. Once he leaves a place, he may never come back. After all, he hasn't gone to camp half-blood since his betrayal, but, then again, that was only a few weeks ago and most of the time he spent unconscious. Still, he won't come back to any of us now, and there must be consequences.
"Percy has left us!" Poseidon yelled at the council. "Arguably the most powerful god, has left us! WE MUST TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY!" The council all nodded in agreement, except from Zeus. Well I guess a decision has been made. Percy wasn't loved by all the gods, but most of them seemed to owe him a favour, and, dare I say even become attached to him? I know Hestia and Hades have! Hera doesn't like him much, but knows that he was nice to her on a few occasions (it still counts if Percy had lost his memory, right?). Hermes can never forget how Percy saved the world by saving Luke. I haven't forgotten his freeing my mother who I've seen like five times in my Godly life (Zeus is VERY strict!). Even Demter is happy with him! Something about saving a farm from annihilation? You get the point! Everyone likes Percy, or at least owes him in some way.
"Positions!" father yelled out. He did not seem happy. I didn't think he would. The whole council formed a circle, everyone focusing on APhrodite's palace, ready to flash.
"3, 2, 1, go, go, go!"
Immediately, everyone flashed into Aphrodite's palace. As this being a dire time, we didn't bother knocking at the door. What's the worst that could happen? Aphrodite getting banged up by some random minor god while Artemis screams at her.
As interesting as that would be, unfortunately, that was not what I think will be happening. How did I know? Oh, because of the scream that came from Aphrodite. It wasn't her usual, sexual scream.
Aphrodite POV
If someone ever tells you that make-up is useless, you should crack their skull open with a make-up container. Make-up is one of THE MOST amazing inventions in the 19th century. Perhaps it was the 17th… I was putting on make-up, getting ready for the so quickly called council meeting. The last thing I expected was for a bloody Artemis to flash into my room, staring and holding daggers at me.
A scream escaped my mouth as she slowly advanced on me, holding a crazy smile that I thought belonged to some psychopath. Not gonna lie, but at this point, I was pretty sure that she was one. Was she going into some sort of genocidal mode? Grabbing a make-up container from my side table which I was conveniently near, I threw it at her. She didn't even stop. Time for a quick flash, I thought, preparing to flash. However, just before I could flash to the council, the maniac grabbed my arm and attempted to plunge her knife into it. It was at the last second that I managed to conjure a bunch of doves to fly into Artemis, temporarily phasing her. It wasn't for long, but enough for me to drag my arm away.
I made a bolt for the door, with Artemis pursuing me. Time and time again I would try to flash, but the running was draining my energy. For some reason, I couldn't flash. Gods know why, but I just couldn't make the move. My body wouldn't let me! I was running as fast as I could, but this was hard to do when psychopaths were chasing you, for example, Artemis!
I couldn't keep up this game of cat and mouse, and I was starting to get pretty tired too. Therefore, I wasn't surprised when I felt a powerful kick to my back, making me sprawl all over the floor. It felt as if I had been rammed into by the minotaur. My body was screaming at me to get up, but I just couldn't. Artemis came and crouched next to me, anger evident in her eyes… at me?
"W-what did I do," I stuttered, panicking. This was a frightful sight.
"Perseus," Artemis whispered in my ear with a hiss. It came crashing on me. My 95% foolproof plan had failed, despite it only being a 5% change of failure (YES I CAN DO MATHS, ALRIGHT!) The point is, this means that Perseus has left the hunt. I can feel the betrayal and heartbreak coming from Artemis.
"I thought it would work," I spoke quickly. "I swear Artemis, I never meant to make him leave. Please!" She shook her head, and I mentally sighed. It was hard to change Artemis's mind once she was angry at something, or someone.
"Perseus has left," she whispered, yet I could still be here. "Why don't you meet him!" The knife plunged into my arm and I screamed out loud, tears rolling down my cheek. How COULD she! Not even recognising my tears, she raised the knife again and, just before it was yanked down into me, there was a roar from my door, followed by Apollo screaming, "Don't do this Artemis!"
Then, the whole council somehow ran into the room, weapons ready, pointing at Artemis.
Poseidon POV
"Don't do this Artemis," I heard someone scream from my left. Maybe it was Apollo? I wasn't really focused on that. What I WAS focused on, was the goddess who had caused my son to leave, and was now assassinating another one. Why didn't they just call her the Goddess of Assassinations. It would've sutide her perfectly.
It was only a few seconds later that the whole council had squeezed into Aphrodite's immense make-up room. Everyone had weapons pointing at Artemis, even Zeus, which was a surprise as I never thought that he would side against artemis. He spoils her! The maniac still wouldn't put her knife down. Her bloody knife… I thought as my eyes trailed the trail of blood, meading me to Aphrodite's ruptured arm. Honestly, it took more than all of my willpower to not run my trident through her several times and send her back to Tartarus to reform.
"What-have-you-done!" Zeus managed to get out, shocked at how Artemis could be so… insane!
"What happened Aphrodite?" Zeus asked her, as he slowly walked towards her, master bolt out in case his daughter tried anything fancy. When she didn't. Zeus scooped up Aphrodite and hurried back to Apollo, who started the healing process on her arm, right after he shot a glare at his sister.
I have had ENOUGH! Aphrodite's hurt. Okay. Needs healing. Sure. BUT WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT MY SON! I will not wait for this, I thought as I charged straight into Artemis, trident out and armed. The second she saw me barreling towards her, she rotated 90 degrees, and I nearly slipped past her. However, at the last second, I swung my trident around at her shin. Jumping over, she landed on my back and tried to plunge her knife into my neck. My my, when will she learn. The house of Poseidon is not to be messed with. Running backwards, before she could even register what I was trying to do, I slammed her into the wall, sandwiching her between me and the wall. This caused her grip to slack enough so that I could jerk her body off me and onto the floor. I brought my trident down hard into her side, but she shrunk back just far enough for me to miss. My foot didn't miss however! Bet she didn't see that one coming. For a moment, she just lay down growling, but a second later, as if nothing had happened, she sprung up and pushed her bloodstained knife into my leg. I roared out loud, but it was only temporarily. A second later, I brought my trident round again into her head. She tried to dodge, but wouldn't let go of her knife and, consequently, failed to dodge it. It sent her down to the floor. Then, just to make sure she wouldn't move, I decided to show Artemis what the pain she inflicts on other males feels like. Raising my trident, I brought the blunt side down as hard as I could, right into her pubic areas. She howled in pain, but surprisingly, not one other person winced. THIS had been coming. I've heard her boast about the horrible things she has done to men and their… things.
"WELL THAT'S HOW IT FEELS, BITCH!" I screamed out at her. Once I knew that she was in far too much pain to go anywhere, I turned around to get healed by Apollo.
"Not one of you could've helped me!" I said, sighing as I limped to Apollo. What was the point of reinforcements!
Zeus POV
The whole fight between Poseidon and Artemis, I just stared in awe. Not because Poseidon was good (I am wayyyy better), but because of the dedication he showed to avenge his son. It was like nothing I had ever seen before, and I was wondering perhaps I had treated all of my children badly. I sighed. Time is needed for reflection, but now is not reflection time. It's more like a 'Sort Artemis out and make a godly mental prison' kinda time.
So Poseidon has beaten up Artemis. Artemis is crying in pain. Splendid! Time for some Spetsnaz level interrogation, I thought as I sauntered towards her.
"So here's the game plan," I said to Artemis as I crouched next to her, slapping a pair of celestial bronze handcuffs onto her hands before she could even realise. "I'm going to ask you a question, and you're gonna answer me, got it?" She glared at me, so I took it as a yes.
"So first, where is Perseus?" I decided to start with the missing God to avoid any more earthquakes. Artemis gave me the, 'I am going to finish you' look. Well, I had time to waste, so we weren't going anywhere until she had told me.
"He left," she spat after a while. Perseus willingly left… I let that sink in as Poseidon started to interrogate her too.
"Where is my son," he growled at her, knuckled white from gripping his trident so hard. Hestia was right next to his, wanting to know where her adopted son was.
"I don't know." Silence.
"What do you MEAN you 'don't know'! Where did he-"
"I said I don't know!" Artemis spoke through gritted teeth. "He just turned around, dropped his sword and walked off. 10 minutes later, he hadn't come back! He didn't even speak to us. He just left!"
Gasps came from everyone.
"He WHAT!" Aphrodite screamed. Despite being injured and in recovery, she looked like she had the energy to search the earth up and down for Perseus. Artemis didn't respond. She just sat there, glaring at everyone present.
"Assuming Artemis is telling the truth, Perseus is extremely vulnerable without his symbol of power," I thought out loud. It must be recovered immediately.
"Ares," I called out. "Go to the hunters camp and bring me Percy's sword, Riptide. If you can't find it, then round up the hunters and come back with them."
"Yes father," Ares said as he flashed out. Well at least that was one problem solved. Now let's figure out why Percy left.
Apollo beat me to it. "Wh-what did you do to Percy that made him leave the tent." From the sound of his voice, he seemed shocked that Artemis didn't learn her lesson about treating Percy well. This made Artemis's head slump down in despair. Perhaps it was my imagination, but I swear I could see tears falling down.
She lifted her head up, no sign of any crying. "Ask HER," Artemis growled, nodding her head in the direction of Aphrodite. Immediately, the whole council turned around to look at her. Aphrodite looked as if she was shrinking down, slowly backing away to the door.
"Well well well," Poseidon exclaimed, clapping his hands together slowly. "It looks like Aphrodite doesn't want to be the center of attention anymore." Snickers came from many of the other gods in the room. "Tell me RIGHT NOW, what happened to my son!"
Of course the intense moment of interrogation had to be interrupted by Ares suddenly barging back into the room. Couldn't he just flash?
"Remind me again, father, where is the hunters camp?" Ares asked.
"I don't know where!" I yelled, furious at him for not being able to do ONE thing! "Go and ask one of the minor gods or something!" He couldn't do anything, could he?
Nodding his head, Ares flashed away, but not before mumbling under his breath, "He can't do it himself, can he?"
Back to Artemis, Aphrodite and Perseus. I gave Aphrodite a hard look, reminding her that she still had a question to answer.
"Well?" I asked her. She sighed.
"In order for Artemis to be on better terms with Perseus, I gave her some advice to help them stop hating each other," she started, looking in fear at everyone. My heart plummeted straight down to Tartarus when she said this. There is no positive outcome now that Aphrodite has spoken. Was there ever? No idea.
"What did you make her do?" I asked her, struggling to keep my voice down. People usually say hope for the best, but when it involves Aphrodite, the best is out of the question. There will only be the worst. "SPEAK!" I screamed at her, losing my patience. She flinched.
"I t-t-old Artemis to sleep with Per-Pe-Persus."
The whole council erupted, everyone screaming at Aphrodite.
"YOU SLUT!" Hermes yelled out.
"Infecting OTHER females!" Demeter screamed.
"NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!" Apollo yelled, shaking his head.
Aphrodite actually started to cry, her tears running the makeup she had spent hours on. Mmmmmm, I could use that later, in her punishment.
"Why did you follow her, Artemis?" I asked her, lifting her chin up. She wouldn't reply.
"If someone is telling you to jump into Tartarus, will you jump!" I asked her. "It's called common sense! You tried to be a slut for some bizarre reason, and look where it's gotten us. One of our most powerful Gods is missing. You had no right to hunt Aphrodite down, and should've come straight to the council. I have never been more disappointed in my own daughter. You and Aphrodite are to wait there until we join you to decide your punishment. No fighting." Poesidon removed his grasp on Artemis, but I kept the handcuffs on her. You can never be too careful, especially with Artemis, as I have learned today. Slapping a second pair of handcuffs onto Aphrodite, and then wrapping both of their legs in celestial bronze rope, I proceeded to flash them both to the throne room. Once there, I left then and flashed back to Aphrodite's room so that me and the rest of the gods could decide what we need to do next.
"Okay let's all just take a deep breath and sort this out like gods, shall we?" I said to the council trying to calm them down and stop them from flashing to the throne room and slaughtering the 2 gods there. Everyone just ignored me, yelling louder if anything.
"QUIET!" I yelled again, raising my lightning bolt. The sparks and cackling of electricity manages to grab the gods attention. Everyone looked at me with sour faces.
"Perseus is missing," I exclaimed to everyone. "As we all know, it is Artemis's and Aphrodite's fault. They are in the throne room, awaiting judgement. After their judgement, we will need to send search parties out to find the young god. Being so powerful, him being out there is dangerous. Furthermore, he is missing his symbol of power, Riptide. This reduces his goldy powers, but doesn't reduce his aura. Therefore any monster within a 50-150 miles radius will be going straight for him. I have no idea how long Perseus will last, but we must find him."
"Oh you won't," Hestia murmured from the back, glaring at me.
"I thought I was giving the speeches."
"You can give the speeches, but you are speeching stupid ideas, and I'm simply correcting you," Hestia answered back to me. She was the only one who could do so without being annihilated. "I know my son very well-"
"I'm sorry, Hestia, but last time I checked, your son had only been your son for a few weeks, most of which he had spent unconscious, so how do you know that we won't find him?"
She smiled at me.
"Because he is Perseus."
Now I hope that THIS is long enough for you! I finally managed to make a chapter 3069 words long! Also, is this realistic. I feel like it is, but maybe you might have some otherthoughts!
