Splash,

Head first goes the maiden

She dives so willingly into water

To leave her fears and aches at the icy surface.

Hiding only her important places,

She also hides herself

For she is a lie in herself

She breathes out her troubles

As she has an underwater grace

Along with her skillful arch

The icy water giving her a unique wonder

She knows she can be herself at last.

For what little seconds she has under

Her life doesn't seem as complex anymore

She has a refreshed feeling

But senses the surface, close

She places her mask on again

She breaks the surface

And the deadly cold hits her again,

As do the lies and the tears

-Though she'll never let them show-

And silently wishes for the

Splashes to come again.
