A/N Ok, here's another oneshot. I'm starting to love these now – they tend to work out the right way. JP/LE, only Lily doesn't know it. So, this one shouldn't be sad, but If I keep it going, it could be (or perhaps happy). So, anyways, on with it (after the disclaimer of course).

Running
She'd been running for a while now, and was starting to think of going back to the castle. Nah. She thought. I'll stay out for a little while. It's always so peaceful down here at night. The grounds are asleep, and I feel like I'm the only one in the world. Then she headed towards the lake, quite unawares that she was being watched.
James Potter sat on the windowsill up in his dorm staring out over the Hogwarts grounds. Everything was dark, then the moon shone through the clouds, lighting up patches of the ground. It was then that he saw her. Lit up by moonbeams. She was running, running like the wind. Her red hair glimmered in the moonlight as it swished across her back. All of a sudden, her face changed, and a look of determination took over. She sped up and ran her heart out. Feet flying over the ground, arms pushing her feet along, and her hair flying out as if it had a mind of its own. She kept it up 'til she was around the back of the lake, and then she slowed. She lay down on the grassy bank exhausted. Only one thought entered his mind then it was – God she's gorgeous.
As she glanced up at the castle, she saw someone in one of the windows of Gryffindor tower. It was a someone with very messy hair, even from here she could tell, then he reached up and rumpled his hair even more. Only one person in the world would do that………………………………Potter. I hate him. Why can't he even leave me alone out here?
As James sat there, continuing to watch her, he realized why he hadn't been happy going out with Amy or Jess or Kimmy. It was because he loved her. She always had been, and always would be, the only one for him. going on?
A/N ok, I didn't really like how this story worked out in the end, so now this story makes me a hypocrite. Oh well. Everybody probably either hates it or doesn't get it. I don't' really either, but I need to figure out how to change it, so I'm working on it. Anyways, I needed to write sommat cuz I'm kinda sad, and writing cheers me up. So, here is is. REVIEW! REVIEW!
