********** Hello Lovelies:)
So I have decided to put out there that I am looking for a Bata reader for this story. I honestly have never worked with one, so not sure how to go about to looking for one on Fan Fic, and my partner is over reading what I'm writing as I update a bit two fast for his liking lol. So if you have any tips about that let me know either in the comments for this chapter or PM me.
Thank you all :)*******
As the Easter Holidays approached, more and more 5th years where seen studying in the library with the distress of Madam Prince, who on a normal day didn't have nearly the full 5th year class in the Library, only those Ravenclaws, a few Hufflepuffs, the studious Slytherins, and the very slim number of Gryffindors. So on that Wednesday before school let out for two weeks, Madam Price had those who would never dare step into the library, and three of those students where James, Sirius, and Peter, whom had some how got Lily, Dite, Alice and Remus to agree to let them join them at a secluded table that Dite had some how procured to study at. The girls where studying, when they noticed that Peter has snuck away.
"Um boys were is Peter?" Lily asked.
"Not sure, might have gone to get a book or something." James shrugged going back to the Arithmacy book he was studying.
"Maybe he got hungry?" Sirius suggested.
Sirius had finally came to Dite and profusely apologized to her about his attitude and promised to try and hold it back if he saw her speaking with Regulus again. Sirius was true to that, which Dite was glad to see. She knew that the Marauders where loyal to those they accepted into their dysfunctional family, and that included the three girls of their year now. Sure James still continues to as Lily out, makes grad gestures expressing his love for the stubborn redhead, or asks her to marry him. Which would cause the girl to hex, curse or have a yell at him before she would stomp away annoyed more then angry. James would turn to the others and make a comment about how much she was in love with him.
"Well I need to go find another Ancient Runes book." Dite said softly as she got up.
"Don't you have them all Aphrodite?" Sirius asked eyeing the large stack of books that was between her a Lily.
"No these aren't all books on Ancient Runes, there are potions, transfiguration and astronomy books here among others." Dite said walking away from the table. The boys wanted to get enough studying done before the next afternoon so that everyone can go watch the Quidditch match between Hufflepuff and Slytherin. As she walked away from the group she ran into Snape on in the Ancient Runes section, rolling her eyes as he still used her to get to the Marauders.
"Prewett, alone I see." He sneered at her.
"Snape, I see your rabid friend Avery is no where to be seen." She rolled back at him.
"He isn't as rabid as your dogs of Gryffindor." His voice filled with disdain for the boys she hung out with.
"They are hardly rabid Snape, at least they don't go attacking other students with Unspeakables." She said mentioning the attack on the older girl in Gryffindor who was attacked last week.
"Lumping me in with them?" He sneered.
"An to papoutsi tairtazei." She shrugged.
"Still using Greek when you want no one to know what you're saying I see." Unimpressed with her use of Greek in this instance.
"Really Snape, that should have been easy, as I said 'If the shoe fits'." Rolling her eyes pulling a book off the shelf.
"By that logic, you're lumped in with your idiots."
"You know what Snape, I was right at the beginning of the year, and you're a Medusa with out the venom." She snapped at him.
"And your more then the mouse of Gryffindor." He glared at her.
She gave him one last glare, before heading back to her study group. Dite knew that Snape was jealous that Lily promised to study with her today, as she couldn't join Alice and Dite over the break with the funeral of her grandmother happening over break. After being in school with her young Potions master as a classmate, it was a miracle that she hadn't strangled the teen yet. How could he be Lily's best friend when he got Jealous of those besides him that Lily befriended, it was like the boy was obsessed with her.
"You shouldn't get annoyed at half-bloods like him." A voice caused her to wipe around to find Regulus leaning against the bookcase with the book she just had in his hands.
"How did you do that?" She pointed at the book.
"Silently summoned it." He smirked.
"What do I have the honor of having your attention Mr. Black for?" She crossed her arms holding a hand out for the book.
"You have been avoiding me lately Miss. Prewett." He said thumbing through the book.
"I've been busy Mr. Black, OWLs are very important to ones future." She eyes him.
"That's very true, but you have still avoided me since the last weekend in Hogsmead." Handing the book back he eyed her.
"The day you purchased my books when my Baba had come to spoil me for a day." She wrapped her arms around the book.
The smirk that she had seen on his brother's face appeared on his, his gray eyes filling with the same mirth that Sirius's had when they plan a prank, before a quidditch game, or when he was being his dramatic self. It was then that the two could be twins, almost like Fabian and Gideon or like Fred and George. It was eerie to see on someone other then the boy and man she knew both now and in the future.
"So you've been warned by your father about me?" He asked taking a step forward, as he did she took one back. This continued until her back was against the wall and he was looking down at her.
"I've been warned that wizards here are a bit different then those in Greece." She explained, not taking his eyes off his.
"I see, so it is a bit different there then here, but I bet that courting is much the same, Aphrodite." He leaned to whisper her name in her ear before placing a kiss next to her ear.
By the time Dite could breath properly, Regulus was gone. That encounter was like none she had experienced in this time or her past time. Sure she had guys whisper asking her out on a date since she got her, but she rebuffed them saying that she wasn't interested. But this was like she couldn't pull away or even move. It confused her as she walked back to the table. Alice raised an eyebrow at her asking if she was all right. She mouthed later, her eyes darting to the boys at the table. Looking at the middle of the table hidden between the books, she saw bags of buttered crisps and cheddar crisps.
"We can't have these in here." She hissed at them wide eyes as she looks around for Madam Price.
"Lighten up Aphrodite, she wont find out." Sirius whispered at her.
Calling her by her full name didn't have the same effect that it did when his brother said it. Maybe it was because Sirius said it all the time and that was the second time Regulus spoken her full name. The other time was when she accidentally knocked him over. But it had a different effect this time, the last time it was a jab at the goddess of love. She has heard that jab a few too many times from Sirius. Once the snacks where gone the group of Gryffindors had decided to call it quits when Sirius became to rambunctious to study being cooped up inside the cursed library to long.
The next morning after gossiping with Lily and Alice the night before after Dite explained the encounter she had with Regulus in the library, which had both the girls squealing about it. Lily saying to be careful since he was a Slytherin and Sirius's younger brother, Alice gushed about how they would look great together. Gossiping turned to a pillow fight that caused the feathers to explode from their sleeves. When she shared a dorm with Lavender and Patil, she never joined in the gossip they had done, or even grew close to them enough to talk about boys with. It was nice, actually it was better then nice, and it was fantastic that she was getting along with these girls. Mostly because she might become like an Aunt to both Harry and Neville, so she would get to see her friends again even though she would be much older.
Dite woke up to something tapping on the window; reaching for her wand she cast the timest charm to see the time, which read 9:00am. She heard groaning and became very happy that the Professors decided to cancel classes today seeing that both the 5th years and the 7th years looked beyond tired from classes and studying for their respective tests. She got up and opened the window to find a black owl, the same owl that delivered her gift at Christmas. She knew that it was from Regulus; she helped the bird into the dorm and took the package from him.
"What is it Dite?" Lily asked rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"Not sure yet." She answered sitting on her bed yawning.
"I bet you it's a gift from Black." Alice threw out there as she joined the two girls on Dite's bed.
'I know you wont wear this if it was against Gryffindor, hopefully you will today. No strings attached.'
R.A.B
Dite knew Alice was right, rolling her eyes she placed the note to the side, where Alice picked it up and giggled after reading it. Dite pulled out a knitted green hat that had a golden puff on the top, a knitted scarf in the same green, and two golden puffs at each end, then a pair of knitted gloves she put on to find out that they where thick leather inside to keep warm.
"Wow, he is generous isn't he?" Lily asked as she tried on the gloves.
"He even wrote that there where no strings attached, that's something." Alice hummed as she stood and walked over to Dite's wardrobe and took a look inside it.
"Not sure why that's so symbolic." Dite looked at them.
"It means he isn't pressuring you at all. He is just, marking his territory as the muggles say." Alice pulled out Dite's black wool pleated skirt that was the same length as all her skirts, A golden colored turtle neck, thick black tights, a pair of the knitted soaks that Molly had sent to the girls which happened to match the sweater, and her flat black boots.
"Really? Why?" Lily looked at Alice as she pulled out her outfit for the day.
"So other guys don't try anything." Alice laughed.
The girls finished getting dressed; Alice waved her wand at Dite's hair, which twisted into a wisped braid over her right shoulder. The girls were still chatting about the early gift as the joined the boys for a late breakfast. A few Hufflepuff chasers tossing a quarfle around near their table. Alice gushed to Frank about the gift Dite had gotten. He agreed that it was something for a male pureblood to state that there where no strings attached to the gift. If the boys had something to say they kept it to them selves for a later time when they didn't have the whole school watching. Dite was happy that they did, she was still unsure of what to do; maybe she would talk to Sophia over the Holiday. She may know what to do or can help her out. Fabian and Gideon wouldn't be happy about the gift but they must have known this would happen having her around. Sighing, and avoiding looking over at the Slytherin table where she was sure that the male in question would be smirking about her wearing his gift. She just had one more day before she would be back at home and didn't have to worry about boys, and trying to figure out how to tell Dumbledore about the Horcrux that might be out there somewhere.
