Hello everyone, this is Ray Chiu and I'm here for this Yu-gi-oh Arc-V fanfic. The story is based on Arc-V, but the main plot will be related to the past three stories: GX, 5Ds, and Zexal. Zarc won't be the final boss, and there are going to be a lot of OCs. And even though the world split into 4 dimensions, Zarc and Ray's souls will be in their standard counterparts while the body split into 4. Another thing in the story is that Yuya will be likely to switch his deck to those of the main protagonists from the GX, 5Ds, and Zexal. Their characters will also appear in the story and the plot will be longer. Now let's get into the story.
Chapter 1 Swing Into Action
Our main protagonist of the story: Sakaki Yuya, is now having a duel with his friend Gongenzaka Noboru. Gongenzaka is standing alongside Superheavy Samurai Waka-O2 and Superheavy Samurai Sword-999, and he also has 2600 LP remaining in the duel.
"I release Superheavy Samurai Waka-O2 and Superheavy Samurai Sword-999 to Advance Summon Superheavy Samurai Big Ben-K!" (ATK:1000/DEF:3500 LV:8)
A warrior monster with orange armor appears on the field, and Gongenzaka opens his arms wide. "Come on, Yuya! Duel the man Gongenzaka in a one-on-one match!"
Behind a nearby pagoda, a voice exclaims, "Ladies and gentlemen!" The voice comes from no other than Sakaki Yuya, who leaps up while riding on Entermate Discover Hippo.
"I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Hippo Carnival! It's showtime!" Sakaki Yuya exclaims as three hippo tokens appear on the field dancing.
Gongenzaka is stunned and becomes irritated at the hippos dancing. "What? Are you kidding me?"
Meanwhile, in the control room, 3 people are watching the duel. The one who was sitting in front of the computer screen is Hiiragi Yuzu. The second one who was standing by Yuzu is a boy with brown hair, he wears a black shirt that has a rainbow on it, cyan pants, and dark shoes. He is Hiiragi Ryu, Yuzu's older brother. And the final one who is leaning on the wall watching has red and green hair like Yuya, she wears a red shirt with a white jacket that looks like a cape, a red skirt, dark stockings, and pink boots that look like Yuzu she also has two pendants that look like Yuya's but one is pink and the other one is red. She is Sakaki Yuni, the younger sister of Yuya.
Ryu comes to her and says, "I guess he isn't playing seriously again."
Yuni says, "Well, I am not that surprised."
"Geez! Yuya! Stop goofing around and play seriously!" Yuzu yells in anger as she accidentally pounds the keyboard, causing the machines to go malfunction.
"Yuzu? What have you done?" Ryu yells in horror.
"Leave this to me!" Yuni shoves Yuzu away as she tries to save the mess, but everything is too late.
Just then, Shuzo, who is Yuzu and Ryu's father, rushes into the room and asks, "Yuzu, what are you doing?"
"I am sorry, Dad!" Yuzu says.
"If this thing breaks, my hot-blooded coaching...The Solid Vision's going to go out!" Shuzo exclaims.
In the dueling room, Yuya says, "Now it is time to show the specialty of Entertainment dueling of You Show Duel-" Before he can finish, the Solid Vision disappears and he falls to the ground. Besides the arena, a blue-haired boy is watching the duel and he looks concerned.
"Oww..." Yuya rubs his head on the floor, as he sees Tatsuya, he manages to make a quick recovery and pull off a funny face.
"My Hot Blooded Dueling!" Shuzo exclaims as everyone is sitting at the office. "Without the Solid Vision, I can't do my hot-blooded coaching and the students will leave. Then the school will be over!"
"Oh man, I could have made them laugh even more if you didn't break the machine, Yuzu..." Yuya says while having his goggles on.
"This was because you were messing around, Yuya! And look at me while you're talking to me!" Yuzu exclaims as she tries to smack him with her paper fan, but Yuya dodges and bumps into Gongenzaka.
"Ouch...you're still here, Gongenzaka?" Yuya asks.
"That boy wasn't laughing." Gongenzaka says sternly.
Yuya removes his goggles and says, "Huh, Come on, he is laughing of course."
"There is a difference between someone laughing at you and someone laughing with you!" Gongenzaka yells at him.
Ryu says, "Your father, Sakaki Yusho, always made other people smile with his Dueling. Have you forgotten the smiles he stirred from their hearts?!"
Yuni says, "Well, everyone ended up laughing at him in the end."
"Yuni!" Everyone except Yuya yells at him, and Yuya is just sighing.
"Oh, it seems something is amiss in here." A man wearing a suit and shades comes into the school. Yuya recognizes the man and says, "Nico Smiley? What are you doing here?"
Yuzu asks Yuni, "Yuni, who is he? Do you know him?"
Yuni replies, "This is Nico Smiley - the manager and promoter of the current champion of Action Duels, Strong Ishijima."
Nico nods, "Strong Ishijima is our poster duelist at LDS, and we'd love to invite Yuya to appear with him on his Fan Appreciation Day."
Yuya gulps, "So you want me to...with Strong Ishijima?!"
Nico says, "Yes, duel him! Your wish from three years ago will come true!"
It was three years ago, Sakaki Yusho is asked to duel Strong Ishijima in the finals, but he suddenly goes missing, everyone starts to boo him as a coward, Yuya rushes and yells that his father isn't a coward and then he will duel him instead, Yuni and their mother Sakaki Yoko come and pull him away.
Nico says, "As you can see, our preparations are already complete."
Yuya and Yuni look at the advertisement and gulp in nervousness, they know for sure there is someone they're going to ask about this.
Shuzo says, "No! We can't allow Yuya to go up there."
Nico asks, "And why is that? The fans will love seeing Sakaki Yusho's son appear!"
"I won't let Yuya be your show pony! How do you think Yuya and Yuni have felt over these three years...?! Please, leave!" Shuzo demands.
"How unfortunate! As a thank you for your cooperation, we were considering giving you the newest Red Solid Vision System produced by Leo Corporation. For free, of course."
"For real?" Shuzo asks excitedly, but Yuzu smacks him on the head with a paper fan.
"Weren't you just talking about how you wouldn't let him be a show pony?!" Yuzu asks.
"Well, you know..." Shuzo says.
"The school's important, too, but..." Ryu says.
"What's important is how Yuya feels about it." Gongenzaka says.
Just then, both Yuya and Yuni disappear from their sight, causing them to wonder where they go.
At the bridge, Yuya and Yuni are talking to someone on the phone that is in the duel disk.
"So you did this on purpose? Reiji? About the duel with Strong Ishijima?" Yuya asks.
"You should have told us first instead of doing things on your own. How many times do I need to tell you that?" Yuni sighs.
The said person on the screen fixes his glasses and says, "Three years have passed, I think it is time for you to get out from your shell."
Yuni says, "I guess you're right, we need to stop hiding from what happened and face the truth right now."
Yuya says, "Then I'll accept the duel, I'm going to show those people how wrong they are to doubt our father while he is doing serious business."
"I'll see you tomorrow." Reiji says as he ends the call.
Yuya sighs and looks at the stadium with Yuni, two figures appear behind them, one of them is a boy with grey and green hair. His name is Zarc, while the other one is a grey and green-haired girl, she wears just like her brother, but with the lab coat outside, she is Zarine, Zarc's younger sister.
"Still thinking about them again?" Zarc asks.
Yuya says, "Yeah...7 years ago, our sister went missing... then we also heard about Akaba Leo's plan, so Dad left the duel to cross dimensions and went talking to him, but he hasn't returned since then."
Zarine says, "And then you were asked to become the Vice Presidents of LDS and Leo Cooperation thanks to Reiji. From then on, you had created a lot of useful cards."
"Yeah..." Yuni looks at the red pendant and says, "Still, I wonder where are you, Katrina..."
Zarc says, "Yuya, if you can't duel tomorrow, how about letting me duel in your place?"
Yuya asks, "And then, destroy the world like you did before the 4 dimensions exist?"
Zarc lowers his head with guilt, and Zarine sighs, "Don't worry, Brother. Yuya was joking, you were not yourself when that happened a few years ago."
Zarc says, "Still, it is actually my fault that this happened..."
Yuya says, "Zarc, we won't blame you. What has happened is in the past, right now we must see the future. If you feel like crying, then we should let out the biggest laugh we can muster. And we'll start to have fun once we laugh. And that'll become the energy we'll use to keep going."
Yuni takes off her pendant and swings it, she says, "Just like the Pendulum. The more we push, the more it'll come back. We can't do anything if we're frozen in fear. Have courage and step forward if we want to win. Push forward with courage and the happiness will come swinging back to us."
Zarine nods, "The pendulum can be a tool of discovery as well. When we're lost, this pendulum will show you the way you need to go. I guess it is time to activate the pendants."
"Huh?" The two teens are confused.
Zarc says, "Zarine, Reisho, and I have been trying to make a new summoning method that is different from the others, and I think it is time for you two to activate them."
"New summoning method?" Yuya says in shock. "Is that even possible?"
Suddenly, the pendants glow, and then Yuya and Yuni take out their decks. Their decks started to change as their monster cards have green parts at the bottom, in the middle, there are numbers that represent scales, and another text box for new effects.
Yuya asks, "What just happened? Odd-Eyes... he looks different."
Yuni says, "Hope-Eyes is different as well, and so are some of our monsters!"
"This is the new Summoning Method: Pendulum Summon. However, since it is getting late, I'll show you how it's done when we're facing Strong Ishijima."
Yuni says, "Then I'll look forward to seeing it."
The siblings then leave the bridge and quickly head back home, or else their mother is going to be worried.
The next day, Yuzu, Ryu, Gongenzaka, and Shuzo arrive at the arena, where everyone is cheering for the upcoming match.
"And now, it's time for the main event here today! And who will be challenging the Champion, Strong Ishijima here today, but the son of Sakaki Yusho, the legendary star Duelist - Sakaki Yuya!" Nico announces.
"Yuya..." Yuzu says with concern.
"Is he really going up against him?" Gongenzaka asks.
"Alright! I can smell the brand-new-" Before Shuzo can finish, a paper fan from Yuzu smacks him hard.
"This Special Match will be conducted with the official Action Duel Rules. I activate the Field Magic, Frontier Fang Castle!" Nico announces.
Underground, the Solid Vision machine releases several light beams, causing a castle to appear above ground. Nico marvels at the sight and notes, "Look at this sight! This castle could be mistaken for the real thing! All brought to you by the LDS Solid Vision System."
Just then, a foot steps onto the ground, and Nico yells, "Look, atop the castle! It's Strong Ishijima, the Ultimate King of Action Dueling for three years straight!"
Then the camera shows him in person, who is on top of the castle, he yells out a battle cry as the crowd cheers.
"And here's our young challenger to the Ultimate King...Sakaki Yuya!" Nico announces.
"Here we go!" Shuzo cheers but stops short when he realizes that Yuya is not showing up.
"S...step on up, Yuya!" Nico himself is stunned as well.
A man in the audience asks if Yuya ran away, while another says he did it just like his father three years ago. A third man notes that Yuya is a coward, "like father, like son".
"Hold on a second!" Yuzu tries to smack the audience, but Ryu and Gongenzaka stop her.
"I thought Sakaki Yusho might show up if we dragged his son out here, but..." Ishijima laments. "Tsk! I can't truly be the Ultimate King unless I beat him."
Suddenly, Yuya, dressed in a clown outfit, sneaks up behind him. A woman asks who that is, while another woman says he must be a clown. Behind Strong Ishijima, Yuya continues to dance and make funny faces.
"That clown...could it be?" Ryu asks.
The crowd yells at Strong Ishijima to look behind him. Ishijima turns around and sees that Yuya is making funny faces at him.
"So, you're Sakaki Yusho's brat, huh?" Ishijima asks.
He gives a mocking bow and says, "I am sorry for the waiting, thank you for being patient."
This enrages him, and he asks, "Is that the respect you should show to the Champion?"
Yuya removes his clown mask and says, "I apologize for my rudeness. Well then, with the greatest respect, allow me the honor to duel you." Yuya activates his Duel Disk, ready to Duel. "Let's see how great the champion is."
"How great I am?! Know your place, son!" Ishijima says with an irritated tone as he activates his own Duel Disk. "I'll show you the skills of a pro and give you some well-needed disciplining."
Yuya smiles at the statement, and Nico yells, "Wow! What an unexpected turn of events, but it seems our players are ready! Please draw five cards!"
As the two duelists are ready with each having five cards in their hands, Nico Smiley says, "Duelists meet on the battlefield along with their monsters, kicking across the earth and flying across the air! This is the ultimate evolution of Dueling. Action..."
"DUEL!" Yuya and the Sledgehammer yell. Nico snaps his fingers and Action Cards are scattered throughout the battlefield. (Yuya:4000)(Ishijima:4000)
"The Action Cards flutter onto the field and our battle begins!" Nico announces.
"I'll allow you to go first. Just for your information, you can't draw on the first turn." Ishijima says.
"Ladies and Gentlemen! Allow me to show you what a classic Action Duel looks like!" Yuya yells as he waltzes up to a zip line and glides down on it, much to Ishijima's surprise.
"And for my first performance, I Summon Entermate Discover Hippo (ATK:800/DEF:800 LV:3)"
Yuya jumps off the zip line and lands on his monster's back. "Catch me if you can!"
The same male audience member from before asks if Yuya is running away already. His companion says that Yusho's son being quick at running is no surprise.
"What is Yuya doing?" Yuzu asks.
"He should face Strong Ishijima proudly." Gongenzaka says.
From the castle, Ishijima watches as Yuya and his hippo escape into the forest. He mutters, "It won't be long until I catch you."
"My turn!" He draws the card and says, "I use Magic Card "Feast of the Wild LV5", I Special Summon two Level 5 Warrior-Type monsters from my hand with their effects negated. Come forth! Barbarian #1 (ATK:1550/DEF:1800 LV:5) and Barbarian #2 (ATK:1800/DEF:1500 LV:5)"
As the Barbarians jump to the ground, Ishijima continues, "I then will Release these two cards to Advance Summon. Come forth from the depths of the hidden wood, crushing the giant trees in your way... King of savages, ruler of the wild! Barbarian King! (ATK:3000/DEF:1100 LV:8)
The Barbarian King appears and pushes several trees out of the way and roars. Nico announces, "Here he is, the Champion Ishijima's ace Monster!"
Yuya stops short upon seeing the Sledgehammer's monster blocking his path. Ishijima continues, "Your father got away from me, but there's no escape for you! Battle! Barbarian King, attack Discover Hippo!" Ishijima says.
Yuya gets a card from the bushes and says, "Lucky me! I got an Action Card! Action Magic, Evasion! Rolling Hippo!" Yuya and his hippo make a roll as the attack is evaded.
Gongenzaka exclaims, "You can't win just by evading! He needs to fight..."
"He is fighting." The group turns and sees Yuni and her mother behind them.
"Yoko san? Yuni?" Shuzo says in surprise.
"Brother is reinventing himself while fighting." Yuni says.
Back at the Duel, Yuya and his Hippo are running away from Barbarian King. "As expected of Sakaki Yusho's son - you're able to utilize Action cards effectively! Professionals, though, are able to go beyond that! By releasing a Monster with "Barbarian" in its name when Advance Summoning Barbarian King, it allows him to attack twice each turn!"
"What? Attack twice?" Yuya is surprised at this.
Barbarian King brings down its club, seemingly destroying Yuya's monster.
"There it goes! Barbarian King obliterates Discover Hippo with an ATK of 3000!" Nico says. "Or did he?"
Yuya and Discover Hippo escape from the destruction unscathed, much to everyone's shock. Ishijima exclaims, "No way!"
"Just at the nick of time. I activated the Action Magic, Miracle! Its effect negates the defeat of my Monster and cuts the battle damage I take by half." (Yuya:4000-2900)
The two male audience members are amazed and one of them says that Yuya is going toe-to-toe against the Champion.
"Well, then. I'll place one card face down and end my turn." Ishijima says.
Yuzu asks, "What do you mean when you say Yuya's reinventing himself?"
"Yuya and Yuni have lived the last three years behind a mask of a clown. They made fun of themselves before allowing anyone to make fun of them for their father running away." Yoko says.
"But we really want to become like Dad. The legendary Star Duelist we always admired when we were little." Yuni adds.
"My turn!" Yuya begins his turn and draws a card, Yuya is satisfied after seeing what he drew. "Everyone, we are approaching the climax of our show today! Entermate Discover Hippo can act as two Monsters when used for Advance Summoning."
Discover Hippo runs to the edge of the platform, jumps off, and disappears. This leaves Yuya in a free-fall as he removes his clown outfit.
"I'll release Discover Hippo to Advance Summon! Everyone put your hands together for today's main attraction - the rare dragon with two differently colored eyes! Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" (ATK:2500/DEF:2000 LV:7 PS:4)
Yuya lands on the back of "Odd-Eyes" and says, "The fun is just beginning!"
From the stands, Shuzo exclaims, "There it is! Yusho's famous catchphrase! My blood is hot with excitement!"
Yuzu is confused a little, for what she knows, Yuya has Odd-Eyes Dragon...she doesn't know anything about Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.
Ishijima says, "Using the same line as your father, the coward, are you?"
"My dad is not a coward. I'll win using the Dueling skills he taught me to prove that he's stronger than anyone else!"
"Hmph! That dragon of yous only has 2500 ATK. He's no match for my Barbarian King with 3000!"
Yuya says, "We'll see about that. Continuous Magic! Wonder Balloon!"
A multicolored box appears in front of Yuya. Yuya dashes into the forest, finding three Action Cards. He sends them to the Graveyard as Nico commentates on the spectacle.
"Wonder Balloon, fly away! Wonder Balloon increases by one balloon for every card I send to the Graveyard when it enters my hand. And by sending it to the Graveyard, the balloons burst, decreasing one Monster's ATK by 1000 for each balloon until the end of the turn!"
The balloons surrounding Barbarian King pop and trap it in even more balloons. Yuya says, "Three balloons popped, meaning Barbarian King now has an ATK of 0!" (ATK:3000-0)
"W-what a twist! Who would have thought that Action Cards could be used in such a fashion?!" Nico announces and the crowd cheers.
"You can't have more than one Action Card in your hand at any given time. You weren't just running around - you were finding out where all the Action Cards were." Ishijima notes.
Yuya holds up his pendant and replies, "I've always been good at finding things."
The two male audience members are stunned and say that Yuya has the Champion on the ropes. As the crowd cheers, Yuya thinks this is the acclaim that his father felt at the stadium.
"Here we go, Odd-Eyes! Let's get this huge crowd going even crazier! When Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon destroys a Monster that's Level 5 or higher, the damage it deals will become twice!"
Ishijima mutters, "The damage is 2500, and when it becomes double, that makes 5000 damage?!"
"With that, I'll be able to one-shot kill you! It's battle time, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Attack Barbarian King! Spiral Flame Burst!" Odd-Eyes releases a crimson stream of fire from its mouth at the monster, causing a huge explosion in the arena.
"I'm burning inside! He's won!" Shuzo yells, and the crowd is cheering, but much to their surprise, when the smoke clears, Barbarian King is still on the field, trapped in the balloons. It lets out a loud roar.
"But why?" Yuzu asks in shock.
"I activated an Action Magic card as well! The same card that you used earlier - Miracle!" Ishijima says.(Ishijima:4000-1500)
"The Champion doesn't let us down! He had an Action Card hidden up his sleeve!" Nico exclaims.
"This is all there is to Sakaki Yusho's Dueling." Ishijima leaps from the castle tower and says, "I activate the Continuous Trap, Barbarian Rage. When I take damage, it increases the ATK of one of my Barbarian Monsters by 2000." (ATK:0-2000)
Frustrated that he missed the win, Yuya says, "I end my turn."
"With the end of the turn, Wonder Balloon's effect lapses and his ATK rises!" Nico yells, and Barbarian King destroys the balloons surrounding it. (ATK:2000-5000)
"It's not only back to normal, but even more powerful than before!" Yuzu exclaims.
"Here comes your requiem! My turn!" He draws a card, and Yuya turns around and starts to run away.
"You won't get away! Battle! Barbarian King, attack Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Ishijima says as he orders Barbarian King to attack Odd-Eyes.
As he tries to escape, Yuya sees an Action Card on a tree, but before he can reach it, Barbarian King brings its club down on Odd-Eyes, destroying it and sending Yuya flying. Yuya is pitched to the ground. (Yuya:2900-400)
Ishijima, standing on the hand of Barbarian King, says, "Your dragon goes back to your hand without heading to the Graveyard due to Barbarian Rage's effect. Next, I activate the Quick-Play Magic, Barbarian Magic! I'll recover Life Points equal to half of the ATK of Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" (Ishijima:2500-3750)
Yuni says, "So his Life Points almost reaches 4000..."
"Barbarian King can only attack monsters twice. Seems you'll live to see another turn. I place one card face down and end my turn." Ishijima says.
As Yuya is still looking at the ground, Zarc appears beside him and says, "Yuya, I think it is time, I'll show you how the Pendulum Summon works right now."
"Are you sure about this? Then I'll leave the duel for you." Yuya says as both of them switch their souls. The Red eyes from Yuya change into yellow, meaning Zarc is in control of his body.
Strong Ishijima says, "It's your turn! Draw a card! Or will you choose to surrender? Turn your tail and run, just like your father?"
Zarc says, "I won't run away. You haven't seen my true power yet."
As he draws a card, he yells, "Swing, pendulum! More and more!"
The card he draws is Timegazer Magician, and he takes out Stargazer Magician from his hand. "I set the Pendulum Scale with the Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and the Scale 8 Timegazer Magician!"
Zarc places two monsters on the edge of the disk and the words Pendulum appears on the disk. Both Monsters are surrounded by pillars of light as they rise up and an enlarged version of Yuya's pendant appears between them.
Yuni is watching this until Zarnie appears, "Look Yuni, you are going to witness how the Pendulum Cards work."
Yuni nods as she takes out the camera and records the whole thing.
"Now I can summon any monsters between LV2 and LV7 at the same time!" Zarc says.
"What's happening?" Strong Ishijima exclaims in shock.
"Swing, Pendulum of the Soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come forth! My monsters!" Zarc says.
Just then, Entermate Whip Viper (ATK:1700/DEF:900 LV:4), Entermate Sword Fish (ATK:600/DEF:600 LV:2), and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon are now on his field.
"What..." Ryu asks. "Is this..." Gongenzaka asks.
Yuzu is shocked to see this, but then her bracelet glows and suddenly, she notices a girl with a maroon hair standing besides her, the word she mutters is, "Zarc."
"We're detecting high levels of summoning activity from the seafront of the city!" In the LDS building, a staff member is analyzing the process.
"Hurry up with the analysis!" A man says.
"We have the results! The summoning method is Pendulum!" Another worker says.
"Pendulum Summon?" The man is shocked.
Back at the duel, Ishijima says, "Three monsters at the same time? And that dragon is LV:7. He shouldn't be able to summon high-level monsters without releasing!"
"But since the system isn't signaling an error..." Nico says to him through the screen of his duel disk.
"That means his summon...is legal?!" Ishijima starts to sweat.
Yuzu is staring at the figure beside her, and Ryu notices something wrong with his sister. "Yuzu, what's wrong?"
Yuzu asks, "Ryu, do you see a woman that looks like me standing beside me?"
"Huh, I don't see anyone." Ryu says. "What are you talking about?"
Yuni was still filming until she gasps at what Yuzu is saying. "Ray! Is that you?"
Yuzu is shocked that Yuni can see the figure, but her brother can't. Ray is focusing on the duel as she is showing concern. Yuni is also filming and she can't just move. Yuni says, "I'll explain it later, Yuzu."
Zarc rises upon the head of Odd-Eyes, he says, "I activate Enter Whip Viper's effect! It switches the ATK and DEF of an opponent's monster!"
Whip Viper swings a metronome from its tail and Barbarian King falls to its knees, forcing Ishijima to step backward off its hand. (ATK:5000-1100)
"Barbarian King's ATK power is..." Ishijima gasps.
"And then Entermate Sword Fish's effect! He decreases an opposing monster's ATK by 600 during this turn." Yuya says.
Sword Fish materializes six more copies of itself and blasts them at Barbarian King. The six Sword Fish land on the ground around Barbarian King. (ATK:1100-500).
"Barbarian King's ATK has quickly decreased from 5000 to 500!" Nico exclaims.
"Battle! Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Attack Barbarian King! It's time to show us your true power!" Zarc declares. Odd-Eyes' eyes begin to glow and the orbs around its body also glow.
"I won't let you! I activate my Trap Card, Barbarian Howling! It returns an attacking monster to the hand, and inflicts its ATK to you as damage!" Ishijima says.
Zarc chants, "Timegazer Magician who rules over space and time! Protect me with your ethereal powers! Timegazer Magician's Pendulum effect! Once per turn, it can negate the activation and effect of a Trap Card that activates by targeting a Pendulum Monster!"
Timegazer extends a curved disc with soft teeth as a clock appears and winds backward, and Zarc shouts "Infinity Gear Reverse!", re-Setting the Ishijima's Trap Card.
"Damn it..." Ishijima curses and he leaps into the jungle and grabs the Action Card. "Then Action Magic, Evasion!"
Zarc chants, "Stargazer Magician who rules over space and time! Seal my enemies with your powers! Stargazer Magician's Pendulum Effect! Once per turn, during the Battle Phase, it negates the effects and activation of Magic Cards that target an attacking Pendulum Monster on the field! Halting Horoscope"
Stargazer traces an outline through the air that forms a constellation, negating "Evasion" and re-Setting it on Ishijima's field.
"He even negated my Action Magic?!" Ishijima runs off to find another one.
Zarc chants, "It's time now, Odd-Eyes! Burn everything to cinder that your heterochromatic eyes catch a glimpse of!"
Odd-Eyes rushes forwards and it leaps into the air as Zarc commands "Spiral Flame Strike!" Odd-Eyes unleashes a dark red beam from its mouth, and Barbarian King intercepts the attack with its club.
"Damn it! But in the next turn..." Ishijima says.
"Do you forget? Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's effect! When it battles a Level 5 or higher monster, it inflicts double the Battle damage!"
"What? D-Doubled?" Ishijima gasps.
The orbs on Odd-Eyes glow, and Odd-Eyes unleashes an orange plume of flame surrounding the first stream.
"Reaction Force!" Zarc declares.
The ARC System dissolves, leaving the banner at the top of the stadium announcing the winner as Yuya Sakaki. At first, the crowd can only watch in astonished silence.
The attack destroys Barbarian King and blasts Ishijima backward. (Ishijima: 3750-0)
"This is "The End"!" Zarc annouces.
"Did Yuya just win?" Ryu asks.
"Yeah, he did." Gongenzaka says.
Yuni turns off the camera and smiles, "Good, we got some footage."
Nico then announces, "It is decided! The winner of this match is Sakaki Yuya!"
Everyone then cheers for him, even Shuzo says that the duel is hot-blooded.
Yuya smiles and says, "We did it, Zarc!"
"Yeah, it has been a long time that I felt this..." Zarc says as he turns to see his friends, but he is shocked to see Ray standing beside Yuzu.
"Ray...she's here..." Zarc quickly switches back to Yuya, Yuya says, "Woah Zarc, what is wrong?"
Just then, Yuzu tries to see if Ray is still there, but she is gone when she turns around. "That is weird." Yuzu says.
Nico rushes to Yuya and says, "Bravo! Excellent! Congratulations! It was a splendid victory, Yuya-kun! Could you introduce that fascinating summoning method that granted you the victory?"
Yuya gulps as he doesn't know how to explain the whole thing to the crowd about the new summoning method.
In the LDS building, Reiji is looking at the duel, he says, "So those two have created a new summoning method..."
He turns to Nakajima and says, "Tell them to meet me now if that is possible."
Nakajima says, "Yes, sir." Then he leaves.
Reiji looks at the screen and says, "Pendulum..."
