The weeks after the attack on the students where filled with whispers, even after the enjoyable Masked Ball, there where still whispers of the attack. Some students whispered about how safe the school was after the attack, others whispered about how the Death Eaters knew about when the Hogsmead weekend was, then a few whispered about that students might have helped them with the attack. Dite could believe that some students who wanted to get on the good graces of the Dark Lord would want to help them with an attack. The atmosphere at the school had become one of accusations and suspicion, mainly on the Slytherins. But She remembered from her time that Death Eaters where not just those of Slytherin, but those of all the houses. Dite remembered the older Sirius telling her that many people where threatened to fallow him and then others joined with out being threatened. The group of Gryffindor's had spoken about the attack a few times since. Sirius couldn't believe that his brother stood up to their deranged cousin, he explained that it was like his brother changed from the perfect heir to a refined rebellious brother. Yes Sirius used the word refine to describe Regulus. James laughed and agreed the Regulus had become a 'refined rebel', but he also told them that his father wrote him saying that their would be Aurar's placed in Hogsmead the next weekend which was the first weekend of December. Peter had become jumpy after the attack, like even speaking about it caused him to become fidgety and he would ask to change the subject. Dite could tell that something had happened to Peter, she wasn't sure what but she wanted to find out since it would stop the betrayal of James and Lily in a few years. Lily and Alice had also gushed about the ball for a week after; how Dite had looked like the goddess she was named for. It was like the female population had already been jealous of her closeness to the Marauders and Regulus. But after that she has had plenty of tripping jinxes, along with a few other harmless charms and jinxes thrown at her. She also found that Malfoy had come to just stair at her from his own table. From what she had learned, Regulus spoke to Malfoy and the kiss was a sign to leave her alone. Dite had a feeling that Malfoy wanted to get close to her and persuade her to the Dark Lords side. As she has witnesses him doing with other older and those in her years earlier that year. Sure the Prewett family was influential, but so was the Potters, Blacks, Longbottums, Greengrass's, but she had never seen him speak to them. She knew from Molly that the Prewetts where always a neutral family like those of the Greengrass family. Seeing as the family now in this time had a female heir that had ties to the Meadows family, it made her a possible follower.
A few days before the end of November, Dite found herself in Dumbledore's office. She decided that she would explain the newest dream about someone creating a prophecy in a few years that pertained to the Dark Lord. She has written Mana about it and also explained that she had told her friends about the fact that she was an oracle. That was a fun conversation, Sirius said that it wasn't possible, as she had made it quite clear what she thought of Divination. She rolled her eyes at him, and explained that the two where different, an Oracle was one that could feel and see things in their dreams, as divination is guess work and showing off that one has an inventive imagination. Remus said it made sense since she always seemed to drift off to places in her mind in the middle of a conversation. Lily and Alice agreed and explained that the girl had woken up some days tangled in her own bedding after a dream. James and Frank just nodded taking in all the information. As she stood at the door of the office she took a deep breath and squared her shoulders, then knocked on the door.
"Come in." She heard Dumbledore call out to her.
Pushing the door open, she bowed her head slightly and her eyes checked the room to make sure that no one else was here.
"Sorry if I'm interrupting Headmaster." She spoke softly.
"Not at all Mss. Prewett, Lemon Drop?" He gestured to the table of candy that never changed even in her past.
"No Sir. I came to speak to you about the dream I said that was still quiet before." She sat down infront of his desk.
"I see, has it changed?" He asked resting his chin on his folded hands looking at her.
"It has sir, but it isn't in my voice, but someone else's." She looked at him.
"Hmm curious, very curious. So you had a dream of another creating what looks like a prophecy." He nodded at the glimpse she had given him.
"Is it possible that I saw this even though it isn't something that I had spoken?" She asked him.
She watched as Dumbledore stood and waked over to a bookcase, and presided to look over the books stored there. As though he was thinking what to tell the girl next. It was like that for several minutes until he turned to face her.
"Oracle's are a mysteries to anyone as there hasn't been a documented Oracle since before this school had been created. The realm of dreams they have could pertain to any thing. For you to have a dream with another's voice giving you a prophecy, it could be a warning to you or a sign that your gift is growing. No one knows the scope of what an Oracle came see or feel." Dumbledore spoke as he took his seat again.
"That means that I can see anything? Dream about any one from any time." Dite looked at him.
"That is possible young lady, but its also dangerous as there are those who would want to use that and try to influence your dreams." He closed his eyes.
Dite had figured out that the Headmaster would have looked into Oracle's once she and Mana brought it up to him. Just wasn't sure to the extent that he had already. She knew that the man prided himself on believing in the Greater Good.
"Now my child is there anything else you would like to discuses?" He asked as if he wanted t change the discussion from her dream to something other then that.
"Well, I know I'm still a student, but I would like to join the order." She looked him in the eye, which since she came to this time she had not done in fear that he would break her shields.
"I'm not sure I can allow you at this time my child, wars aren't for students." He looked at her.
"Under normal circumstances I would agree sir. But I am one with an interesting ability." She explained.
"That is true Mss. Prewett, but I can not allow you to join till you are no longer a student." He said with authority and as though he was ending the conversation.
With that she stood and excused herself before she let the old man see her wrath. Dite couldn't believe it, the old foul had allowed Harry, Ron and herself battle the charms of the 3rd corridor to get to the Sorcerers Stone, let the boys battle a giant snake in the chamber of secrets, face off a werewolf, let an underage student participate in a tournament as live bait, and then let a group of students enter the ministry to find the prophecy. If that isn't allowing students to participate in the Order with out being in it, then she wasn't sure what it was then. Just a stroke of pure luck on their part or all apart of his plans for the greater good.
She threw herself on the sofa next to Remus when she got back to the common room. She noted that James, Sirius and Peter where nowhere to be seen and neither where Alice and Lily. The girls she figured that they where in the Library.
"Where are the others?" She asked him.
"James and Sirius are at practice, Peter is watching. I decided to leave instead of freezing to death out there." He explained to her.
"Oh Quidditch practice, but in this weather?" She asked thinking of Oliver when he had them practicing in a mini hurricane once.
"Yeah, game against Ravenclaw this weekend." He laughed.
Remus was used to this, as was she with having been around Harry and Ron.
"Afto einai pou se kanei exypnos." She laughed with him.
"Aw, I'm the clever one?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"Wait you understood what I said?" She asked wide-eyed.
"Lily found a translation charm, so we enchanted used it to enchant a piece of jewelry so that you would stop having to repeat yourself. Greek is just as easy to use as English since you grew up there. This way we knew what you said with out you explaining it. You also tend to use Greek when you mutter to yourself and when you're angry." He explained.
"Nomizeis oti eisai toso exypnos." She rolled her eyes.
"Yes I am clever." Remus grinned at her.
Before she could respond, Dite was attacked by someone who was freezing and smelt like wet dog, which as she jumped away from the person she found that her attacker was Sirius. James and the other quidditch players where laughing at the sight. She noted that they all looked cold, their goggles where frosted over and their uniforms looked wet from going from outside where it was raining ice to the warm indoors.
"Up stairs all of you, shower and change before you all have to forfeit the game because all of you where crazy enough to practice in this weather and caught your death." Dite spoke pointing to the stairs.
The team looked at her blinking their eyes as though she where someone else, then turned their gaze to the stairs and back to her. Soon there was a course of "Yes mum." As they trudged up to their dorms as she sat back down in a huff on the sofa with Remus again.
"Calm down there mum, no need to get your knickers in a twist." Remus chuckled.
"Someone's got to tell them as they are idiots." She swatted his arm causing him to laugh more.
"Who's an idiot?" A voice asked coming towards them.
"The quidditch team." Dite explained off handedly as Lily took the armchair next to them.
"That's true, what where they doing?" Lily asked as she relaxed.
"Practicing in this ice storm out there."
"Those idiot, they will catch their death." Lily exclaimed.
"Slow down Lils, Dite already took care of it." Remus chuckled.
The three had a pleasant conversation until Sirius threw himself across both Dite and Remus as if they where pillows. Dite rolled her eyes and asked if he minded, as she pulled the book she had resting in her lap from under his legs, as did Remus.
"You know it's strange." Sirius said as he used Remus's lap as a pillow for his head.
"What's strange Pads?" James asked as he sat down on the love seat still drying his unruly hair.
"Dite dating Regulus." He shrugged.
"Why? I think they are cute." Lily asked.
"I'm not sure, its just strange since he is a reclusive snake at the best of times before she turned up at school."
"That is true, the kid always got on Sirius's last nerve since he was sorted to the snakes." James nodded.
"People change Potter." Lily spoke as she casted the drying charm at the boy so he could warm up faster.
"But he's changed a lot then a normal person would."
Dite tapped her nose thinking before she spoke; "Maybe he was always like this and because of his life at home had to look like he agreed with them and the other Slytherins." She shrugged as if that explained it.
"Maybe your right Dite." Remus agreed, knowing that some keep who they are inside and away from others sight.
"But I still think it's strange though." Sirius muttered.
"Your only weirded out by it because you cant openly flirt with Dite now, mate." James laughed.
No one in the group had noticed that Peter wasn't there, or that he didn't return with the team. None even asked where the boy had gotten to. It was like even though the boy was apart of them he was easily missed when he didn't converse with them. That he was and wasn't apart of their unique family that seemed to form with out any of them knowing. Lily, Alice Dite and Frank had finished off the family that the boys had created easily. Lily seemed to spend less time yelling at James about his immaturity after the last few months, Sirius had spent less time chasing after every skirt that walked passed the boy. The boys as a group had pretty much forgot that Snape ever existed, like what happened the year before had effected them enough to think about their actions more then just acting on impulse.

So we are beginning to see more of the Greater Good that Dumbledore seems to like and how Dite is reacting to it. The boys have matured a bit since the Snape incident and now we get to see it a bit. Hopefully you all enjoyed this chapter. Keep the reviews coming :) I enjoy reading them!
