Volume I: The Kingpin of Crime Part I
Note: This will be the twenty-second chapter of Volume I, and this will be Part I of a two part story. Spider-Man plans to go to war to stop the Kingpin once and for all. He will enlist the help of allies in taking down the Kingpin and thwart his election to become mayor of New York City. Someone from this part of the story will learn Spider-Man's true identity, someone very close to Peter.
Its May 14th, it's daytime in the city as Spider-Man is staking out Fisk Tower from a far unseen distance. He uses his camera to spy on anyone coming out of the building. Spider-Man has his mask pulled up halfway as he drinks his boba tea. He continues to watch through the camera and waits.
Spider-Man sighed. "It's been three hours and still nothing. I was hoping that Fisk or his assistant will be making a move soon for me to gather evidence."
Spider-Man's phone vibrates as he pulls it, he sees that his new girlfriend Gwen Stacy is calling her boyfriend.
"Ah, the elegant and beautiful Gwen Stacy is calling me. I wonder what she wants." Spider-Man smiled as he answered the phone. "Hello Gwendolyne Stacy, how is my girlfriend doing?"
"I'm doing fine, where are you?" Gwen is curious about Peter.
"I'm in the city doing work and waiting to see if Spider-Man is needed somewhere for me to take photos, but so far zip." Spider-Man says to Gwen.
"Don't be so down on yourself, I'm sure that you'll get lucky with that famous Parker Luck of yours." Gwen says to Peter.
"I already am lucky to have such a great girlfriend like yourself. Tell you what, maybe I'll swing by your place later if I got the time." Spider-Man says to Gwen.
"Can't wait. I'm actually hanging out with MJ at her house, just so you know." Gwen says to Peter.
"Okay, maybe I'll come by and bring a pizza when I get the chance." Peter says to Gwen.
"Sounds great. By the way, I love you, Peter Benjamin Parker." Gwen says to Peter.
"And I love you too, Gwendolyne Maxine Stacy." Spider-Man blows a kiss for Gwen through the phone as he hangs up.
Spider-Man smiled as he never been more happier than he's ever been in his entire life. He finally told Gwen that he loves her, and she's loves him back too. Being Spider-Man is great but Gwen is the whole reason Peter is able to keep going, she's his center and the love of his life.
Spider-Man went back to looking through the camera as he spotted James Wesley, personal assistant of Wilson Fisk walking out of the building and getting into a dark sedan.
"Okay, time to follow the guy with glasses and see where he's going." Spider-Man gets up and takes his camera with him.
Spider-Man had to resort to not swing around the city as not to get spotted by Wesley, he jumps from rooftop to rooftop.
Sometime later very far in another part of the city near Harlem, Spider-Man was able to follow the sedan to an hideout surrounded by men with guns. Spider-Man uses the camera to spy on the scene, he watched as James Wesley is getting out of the back and meeting up with two individuals, one looked Japanese and the other is African American.
"Hmm? Wonder who these two are? They don't look too friendly being surrounded by men with guns." Spider-Man says to himself.
Spider-Man takes some photos of Wesley meeting up with the two crime lords, hoping that they will serve as evidence.
"Lets go inside and talk some more." James Wesley says to Mariah and Nobu.
"Very well then." Mariah turns and walks inside.
Spider-Man watched as Wesley is going inside with the two crime bosses.
"Damn it, they're going inside and I can't risk blowing up surveillance with so many men watching the place. Guess I'll have to wait until they come out." Spider-Man stays hidden nearby.
(Hideout)
James Wesley is inside the hideout with Nobu and Mariah as they talk business.
"I trust that you're both pleased with the protection my employer provided for you?" James Wesley asking the two.
"We are, narcotics and vice haven't been snooping in my businesses since your boss promised us protection." Mariah is pleased with Kingpin'a partnership.
"Nobu? Anything to say?" Wesley asking Nobu for his opinion.
"I am pleased that your people in customs and the port authority allowed my people to smuggle in our products without any inspections. Your boss kept his word and now we shall keep ours." Nobu says to Wesley.
Nobu picked up a case and opens it to show the money made from his businesses. Mariah did the same as she showed her money to Wesley.
"25 percent as promised." Mariah says to Wesley.
"Excellent, my employer will enjoying doing business with you both. As long as you both pay and my employer will protect you both without the law coming down on you." Wesley says to Nobu and Mariah.
Wesley shakes hands with Mariah and Nobu as their business is progressing, Wesley takes the shares of each of their money to be delivered to Fisk.
(Outside)
Spider-Man is still hiding on top of a rooftop keeping his distance as to not be spotted by anyone. He continues to watch through the camera as Wesley is exiting the hideout with two cases in each hand.
"I see four eyes has finally come out. Wonder what's in those cases?" Spider-Man says to himself.
Spider-Man takes more photos of Wesley with the cases and getting inside the car. Spider-Man watched as the car drives away from the hideout, he pulls out his little notepad and started writing down the time and place of this particular meeting.
As the sun is starting to set, at the Watson Residence, Mary Jane and Gwen are hanging out in her bedroom watching TV with Ms. Lion laying on the bed.
"Does Peter usually take this long working?" Gwen is wondering.
"Sometimes, but he does make time for his friends, especially for his girlfriend." Mary Jane smiled at Gwen.
"Never gonna let that go, MJ." Gwen smiled as she's a bit embarrassed.
"It's about time, you two are great together. Peter is lucky to have a girlfriend like you." Mary Jane smiled at Gwen.
"Thanks, I never thought that me and Peter would end up falling in love since we were best friends. But since last year after I've nearly drown to death, I've been thinking about Peter in my dreams and I couldn't stop thinking about him. Then Christmas Eve came and we finally kissed for the first time. I thought that he would end up confessing his feelings before he and Liz got together, but he never did." Gwen explained her relationship with Peter.
"To be honest Gwen, you didn't do your part confessing your feelings either." Mary Jane reminded Gwen.
"You got a point there, I thought that I could forget Peter and move on, but I can't. Cause deep down I still love him." Gwen smiled as she loves Peter.
"And he still loves you too, you're the one for him. Peter is truly a great guy." Mary Jane says to Gwen.
"He is, he's wonderful." Gwen smiled at the thought of Peter.
The bedroom door knocked as Peter came inside to see both Gwen and Mary Jane together, he brought a pizza from the city.
"Hey, hope you girls are hungry. I managed to get a large pizza in the city." Peter smiled at both Gwen and Mary Jane.
"Is that from Joe's Pizza on Bleeker Street?" Mary Jane is curious.
"The same." Peter smiled in confirmation.
"Thank god I'm starving!" Mary Jane is happy that pizza is here.
"Me too." Gwen is happy too though more to see her boyfriend Peter here.
Peter and Gwen gave each other a romantic look as Mary Jane noticed as she grabbed a slice.
"Hmm?" Mary Jane gets their attention.
Peter and Gwen looked at Mary Jane after they stopped their look.
"I'm happy that you two lovebirds are together, but seriously, in my room, with me here?" Mary Jane says to Gwen and Peter.
"Sorry, got caught in the moment." Peter smiled and blushed.
"Yeah, me too." Gwen smiled and blushed too.
"Well don't just stand there, dig in." Mary Jane holding a slice.
Peter and Gwen each grabbed a slice of pizza and each them eat their slice as they hang out in MJ's room.
Meanwhile back at Fisk Tower, James Wesley just returned from his meeting with Nobu and Mariah. Wesley shows him the money he got from each of them.
"Here's 25 percent each." Wesley says to Wilson Fisk.
"Excellent, be sure to put all this away as I'm doing an interview tonight. Have the money laundered into our secret account as soon as possible." Wilson Fisk orders his assistant.
"Yes sir." Wesley comply with the order and took both cases away.
Wesley is walking out the door as Vanessa is entering the room.
"Vanessa, what a surprise." Wilson smiled at the sight of his wife Vanessa.
"Was this a bad time?" Vanessa is wondering.
"Of course not, my love. Wesley was informing me on our financials. But more on that later, are you sure you're up for the interview?" Wilson says to Vanessa.
"Of course, all I have to do is be honest and tell them what it's like to be married to a great man." Vanessa smiled At Wilson.
Wilson smiled as he got a bit nervous when Vanessa said those words. He's been keeping secrets concerning his double life as the Kingpin from his wife. Vanessa is the only precious thing in his entire life and he knew that if she ever learned the truth, it would destroy her and their marriage.
Late at night as Peter, Gwen, and Mary Jane finished eating and watching a movie, Gwen got up as she's ready to leave.
"I should get going, my dad wants me home as soon as possible." Gwen says to Peter and Mary Jane.
"Okay, see you at school tomorrow." Peter says to Gwen.
"I will." Gwen blows a kiss to Peter.
Gwen walked out the room as Peter smiled from the kiss Gwen blew to him. Mary Jane noticed that Peter is still looking at the empty doorway as he froze.
"Hey Tiger!" Mary Jane tries to get his attention.
Peter snapped back to reality. "Huh? I'm sorry, did you say something MJ?"
"I was trying to get your attention, you look like you freeze at the sight of Gwen Stacy." Mary Jane smiled as she teased Peter.
"What are you talking about? I never freeze." Peter stated to Mary Jane.
"Okay, if you say so." Mary Jane says to Peter.
The TV is still on as the talk show is starting Wilson Fisk with his wife Vanessa, neither Peter nor Mary Jane are happy about Fisk running for mayor.
"If it isn't Jabba the Hutt on live TV." Peter isn't happy seeing Fisk on TV.
"Mr. Fisk, tell us what is your reason for running for mayor?"
"Well, I've lived in New York ever since I was a kid. My father once told me that this city is full of dreams. When I found my company here in New York, I came to realize that he was right. That's what I want to every New Yorker here, to live out their dreams, whether they be rich or poor, I want to give back to the city that made me the man I am now." Wilson Fisk gave his thoughts on the interview.
Peter and Mary Jane aren't convinced or buying into his lies.
"Mrs. Fisk, tell us what it's like being married to a man like Wilson Fisk?"
"What can I say, I've married a great man who gifted me with a son who is our treasure, he gave my life full of great purpose. Wilson Fisk is the man I love till the end of our days." Vanessa described her marriage to Wilson Fisk.
"She doesn't even realize the monster she's married, I feel sorry for her." Mary Jane says to Peter.
"So do I, that man has caused so much harm to the people of New York City, he destroyed so many lives. Elections are in two weeks, I have to find a way to stop him before he takes office." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"I don't see how are we going to do that. You've been trying to stop him for months since last December and we still haven't found any evidence of his involvement as the Kingpin." Mary Jane says to Peter.
"No, but I may've found some leads." Peter pulled out some photos he took earlier.
Peter hands the photos to Mary Jane, she sees a man with glasses in a suit meeting with some shady individuals.
"Who's the guy with glasses?" Mary Jane is curious about the guy.
"From what I gather from the campaign website, his name is James Wesley, Fisk's personal assistant." Peter explained to Mary Jane.
"And he's meeting with two shady people in a shady place. You think that he knows that Fisk is the Kingpin." Mary Jane says to Peter.
"No doubt, Fisk has people everywhere working for him, including those closest to him. If I had to guess, this guy was meeting these two and doing business on behalf of Wilson Fisk." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"Yeah, but it's still not enough for you to take Kingpin down. This guy is too connected to police and city officials. If you're going to take down the Kingpin, then you'll need the help of the law to make that happen." Mary Jane suggested to Peter.
"You're right MJ, I think it's time to bring George Stacy into the loop, he's the most honest cop I know of, the only one I trust." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"What are going to tell him?" Mary Jane says to Peter.
"Everything I've learned in the past months, I'll say that Spider-Man told me what he had learned on his own. I definitely can't take on the Kingpin all this time, this time I'll need some help." Peter says to Mary Jane.
Peter will need to enlist the aid of Captain George Stacy in order to take down the Kingpin before he ever takes the mayor's office.
The next morning back at Fisk Tower, Wilson Fisk is sitting in his office drinking his coffee as he got up very early to focus on his mayoral campaign. Wesley came into the office holding a tablet.
"Good morning sir." James Wesley greeted his boss.
"Morning, you got something for me?" Wilson Fisk is curious about some news.
"We have a problem." James Wesley is concerned.
"Define 'problem?'" Wilson Fisk is worried while remaining calm.
"Let me show you." Wesley walks over to the desk with the tablet.
James Wesley shows his boss the tablet and he looks at the secret accounts.
"What am I looking at?" Wilson Fisk is curious.
"When you asked me to launder and deposit the money we got from Nobu and Mariah, I started to examine the accounts more closely." Wesley explained to Fisk.
"And?" Wilson Fisk wants to hear more.
"And I've noticed something unusual, these are all the private accounts that we got from Owlsley after his demise. Each of theses accounts has more than millions of dollars, but as I was examining the accounts, I've noticed that there was a huge withdrawal from six months ago." Wesley explained the details.
"Six months ago, around the time Owlsley was still alive, most likely he was making a huge withdrawal when Spider-Man came after him before his death." Wilson Fisk says to his assistant.
"I thought so too, but the withdrawal happens five hours after he was presumed dead, before we ever had the chance to access the accounts." Wesley explained the problem.
"That's impossible." Wilson Fisk is getting worried.
"Exactly, the only ones who can access these private accounts are you, me, and..." Wesley got cut off.
"Owlsley!" Fisk finished the sentence.
"That's correct." Wesley says to his boss.
"Owlsley is alive." Wilson Fisk is shocked by all this.
Wilson Fisk is shocked to find out that his former associate Leland Owlsley somehow survived that helicopter crash last December, Fisk already killed off Owlsley's family after his presumed dead.
"This is bad Wesley, he's still alive and still out there. Do you understand the gravity of the situation we are in?" Wilson Fisk is starting to panic.
"I'm very aware of how much damage Owlsley can do to you." Wesley says to his boss.
"You better, Owlsley knows too much about me and my businesses, he moved a lot of money for me and knows the names of those who are on my payroll. He also has intimate knowledge of my crimes, including the attack on the school. Get all our people working double time, including those in the police department, have them dig every rock until they find Owlsely and put a bullet in head to shut him up permanently." Wilson Fisk gave the order to Wesley.
"I'll shall get all our people on it at once." Wesley pulls his phone and makes some calls.
Wilson Fisk isn't too happy to learn that Owlsley is still out there and still a threat to everything he's built in the last 30 years, he's more desperate to kill Owlsley before he testifies against him and undo everything he work so hard to build.
Sometime afternoon at Midtown High, Professor Warren is still teaching his class as everyone listens. Peter is still thinking about taking down the Kingpin with the help of George Stacy who is the only cop he trusts.
But he's also focused on Gwen Stacy who is still listening and learning. Peter stopped thinking about his mission when he got his sights on his girlfriend who is very beautiful to him.
"What is it about Gwen Stacy that makes my heart beat and my skin warm? She's like an angel, all beautiful and divine." Peter says in his thoughts.
Gwen turned around to look back at her boyfriend who is staring at him, she smiled as he smiled back at her. Liz Allan who is now Peter's ex-girlfriend is seeing those two looking at each other with love. She's still hurt by breaking up with Peter and is still processing her grief but it hasn't been easy for Liz.
The bell rang as class ended and everyone got up to leave the school.
Peter is walking with his new girlfriend Gwen as they're in the company of Mary Jane and Harry who are also a couple.
"So how about we all go out to the Coffee Bean, my treat?" Harry offers for his friends.
"Love to, but I'm needed back home to watch after Ms. Lion since Aunt Anna isn't going to be home." Mary Jane says to Harry.
"You're certainly too attached to your new pet MJ." Harry says to Mary Jane.
"What can I say, the dog grows on me." Mary Jane smiled at Harry.
"I see. What about you two?" Harry asking Peter and Gwen.
"Sorry man, got work to do as always." Peter says to Harry.
"As for me, I think I'll hang out with Mary Jane at her house, helping her with Ms. Lion." Gwen says to Harry.
"Okay, your losses." Harry says to his friends.
"Hate to leave you like this." Peter says to Gwen.
"I get it, you have your aunt to think about, I understand." Gwen smiled at Peter.
"How did I get so lucky to have you?" Peter flirts with Gwen.
"Must be the Parker Luck." Gwen flirts back to Peter.
Peter and Gwen gave a quick kiss to the lips as Harry is shocked to find out that they've kissed.
"Whoa! Okay! Is this officially happening? Are you guys dating?" Harry is very curious about Peter and Gwen.
"Ah..." Gwen is nervous.
"We're..." Peter is nervous too.
"Ah... not labeling it." Gwen smiled in embarrassment.
"Yeah, I should go. Bye Gwendy." Peter says goodbye to Gwen.
"Bye Pete." Gwen smiled as she said her goodbyes.
Peter walked away as Mary Jane and Gwen both left the school together. Harry is surprised to find his two closest friends are now a couple. He smiled as he's happy for them.
At the Stacy Residence, the door knocked as George Stacy opens it. Peter see George Stacy feeling all better after that incident in Brooklyn where he nearly died.
"Hey George, nice to see you on your own two feet." Peter says to George Stacy.
"Thanks, glad to get rid of that cane. It's making me feel old. Doctor says that I'm ready and able to get back to work." George Stacy explained his condition.
"I'm glad, Gwen must be so happy for you." Peter says to George Stacy.
"She is, though not just for me." George smiled at Peter as he knows.
Peter smiled back. "You know."
"I'm happy for you both, you two make a cute couple. But hurt my daughter in the worst way, I have a cell in the precinct just for you to spend the rest of your days." George tries to intimidate Peter with those words.
Peter felt nervous as George said those words and giving him the look.
"Just kidding." George smiled and giggled a bit.
Peter felt relieved that it was all a joke as they walked to the living room to find out that he's got company, it's Lieutenant Yuri Watanabe.
"I didn't know you were having company." Peter looking at Yuri.
"She's was coming by to tell me that I'm cleared and back in command of my precinct." George explained Yuri's presence.
"That's right, it's not easy running a tight ship in the captain's absence." Yuri says to Peter.
"So if you're here to see Gwen, then you'll have to look at Mary Jane's house, she called and told me that she's right there right now." George Stacy says to Peter.
"I know, but I'm not here to see Gwen, I'm here to see you." Peter says to George Stacy.
"Me? Why?" George Stacy is confused.
Peter is looking at Yuri as he isn't sure about telling what he knows in her presence.
"She's one of the honest cops in the department, I trust her." George Stacy vouches for Yuri.
"Okay, I came on behalf of Spider-Man." Peter says to them.
"You know Spider-Man?" Yuri is surprised.
"Yeah, I take his pictures and we cross paths from time to time." Peter explained to Yuri.
"Don't worry Peter, she knows that I work with Spider-Man too." George Stacy says to Peter.
"I've seen all the heroic things he's done for this city, I believe him to be a good guy." Yuri says to Peter.
"Okay, if you trust her, then that's good enough for me." Peter says to them.
"Good enough for what? You still haven't told us what this is all about?" George Stacy is curious.
"You guys might want to sit down, for what I'm about to tell you guys is very shocking and hard to prove." Peter says to them.
"Who or what are you talking about?" Yuri is curious.
"The Kingpin." Peter confessed to them.
"You heard of the Kingpin?" Yuri is surprised by that name.
"More than that, I know who he is. You're never going to believe who it is." Peter says to them.
"We're listening." George Stacy sits with Yuri as they listen to Peter.
(Hour Later)
Peter spent the past hour telling George and Yuri everything he knew about the Kingpin, AKA Wilson Fisk. Peter told them the heinous things Fisk has done to the city and it's people, including the incident that happened in Midtown High where a lot of students lives were endangered, where George's daughter Gwen nearly got killed. They stayed silent by all the details Peter told them about Wilson Fisk.
"This is all too much to take in." Yuri is still processing the news.
"That man almost killed my little girl, she could've died that day." George is shocked too.
"I know." Peter says to George calmly.
"How long have you known Wilson Fisk is the Kingpin?" Yuri says to Peter.
"Since last December." Peter confessed to them.
"You've known for months that the man who pretended to be friend to the city, the one who is running for mayor, the one I've met a few times is the very same man who tried to kill my daughter. Why didn't you tell me or anyone the truth?" George Stacy is getting a bit worked up.
"You think this is easy for me! That man tried to kill the girl I love! His partner came after my aunt and held her hostage! My ex-girlfriend Liz was seriously hurt by a man he sent to kill Spider-Man! A lot of people I care about had their lives turned upside down because of him! You don't think that I wanted him to pay for all the terrible things he had done?!" Peter says with bitterness in his voice.
"But you knew and you still haven't said anything." George still trying to calm himself down.
"Because I have no proof of everything Fisk has done, the man is too careful! He's got a lot of money and he's too connected to everyone! He doesn't make mistakes!" Peter explained why he remained quiet.
"I wouldn't be so sure." Yuri says to Peter.
"What do you mean?" Peter is curious about Yuri's thoughts.
"In the past, he was always in control and untouchable. But ever since Spider-Man showed up, Kingpin's crime activities has taken some serious blows and Fisk has turned on his closest partners. Lonnie Lincoln is still locked up, Silvermane was blown up, and the family of the late Leland Owlsley was murdered. If all his past actions has proven anything is one thing, he's losing control." Yuri explained to them.
"So they ended up turning on him when they're of no use to him?" Peter figured out.
"I've been fighting crime in the city since before you were born, the only thing I know without a doubt... is that you don't get to be the man at the top... without making enemies looking to tear you down to the ground." George Stacy gave words of wisdom.
"So what do we do? His approval rating is higher than any candidate, he's getting very close to winning the election." Peter says to them.
"Yuri is right, he's losing control thanks to Spider-Man. We just need to be patient and watch him closely. Sooner or later, he's bound to make a mistake." George Stacy says to them.
"Maybe sooner with these, take a look." Peter hands them photos.
Yuri and George sees Wesley meeting with Nobu and Mariah.
"I know these two, she's Mariah Dillard, she runs a crime family out of Harlem, they call her Black Mariah, she's one mean woman. The other guy who's only known name is Nobu, he's part of an organization that we haven't yet identify, but word on the streets is that he's into smuggling." Yuri explained about Nobu and Mariah.
"Looks like Fisk has made new partners recently, and his assistant must be the middleman." George Stacy says to Peter.
"Is this enough to arrest Wesley as accessory to a crime?" Peter says to George Stacy.
"No, but it's enough to bring him in as a person of interest and these photos are probable cause." George Stacy says to Peter.
"You're going to interrogate him?" Peter says to George Stacy.
"I am, but I wouldn't be so hopeful. If he has practice in evading the law, then it won't be easy. But we can give it a shot." George Stacy says to Peter.
"But we still need someone else to collaborate on Fisk's crimes, someone who knows the intimate details of Kingpin's operations." Yuri explained to them.
"Like an old business partner. We already know someone who worked with Fisk in the past, Lonnie Lincoln." Peter says to them.
"Yeah, but I doubt he'll be cooperative in helping us, last time me and Yuri interrogated him, he confessed to the crime of the Midtown Incident." George Stacy says to Peter.
"But why would he lie if he didn't do it? Lincoln is only a drug dealer, attacking a school full of teenagers doesn't seem like his style. Fisk is clearly the brains of the operation. Does Lincoln have any family?" Peter is curious.
"Yeah, he's got a daughter named Janice, she's currently studying abroad in London." Yuri tells Peter about Janice.
"What are you thinking?" George Stacy is curious about Peter's opinion.
"What if Fisk is forcing Lincoln to lie by threatening the only person he loves the most, his daughter." Peter says to them.
"What makes you say that?" Yuri says to Peter.
"Because he's done it before, he once kidnapped the daughter of the Sandman to force him to kill Spider-Man." Peter explained to them.
"I'm not surprised, he attacked an entire school and held it hostage just to get to my daughter, they try to force me to return the weapons they stole from the army. This guy clearly has no problem hurting anyone, whether they be women or children." George Stacy learned from experience what the Kingpin is capable of.
"What if we can offer Lincoln to protect his daughter in exchange for his cooperation?" Peter suggested to them.
"That could work." George Stacy agrees with Peter.
"It's too risky. Think about it, Fisk might have people inside the prison, if they find out that Lincoln is talking to the police, then they could kill him and his daughter." Yuri explained the risks.
"What if they don't see him talking to a cop?" Peter has an idea.
"What are you suggesting?" George Stacy is curious of his opinion.
"What if I could go to the prison and talk with Lincoln? I could convince him to testify against Fisk in exchange for protection for his daughter." Peter volunteers to hot talk with Lincoln.
"No way! We can't just send a minor to a prison to talk with a criminal." Yuri protest the idea.
"Why not? I'm only a kid, he once held my aunt hostage last year. No one would expect a teen like myself, they'll think I'm visiting him just to insult the man who went after my aunt." Peter still insisted on going.
"I don't like this, but it might work. Captain Stacy, what do you think?" Yuri asking George.
Peter and Yuri are awaiting George's answer, George already knew that Peter is Spider-Man. In the past, Spider-Man has proven most efficient in taking down organized crime with very little difficulty.
"All right, talk with Lincoln and try to offer him the deal. I'll call Interpol and Scotland Yard, see if they can get Janice Lincoln into protective custody." George Stacy agreed to Peter's plan.
"Thank you." Peter smiled at George Stacy.
"But please be careful and keep your head on a swivel." George Stacy urged Peter to be cautious.
"Will do." Peter says to George Stacy.
"Visiting hours at the prison will end soon, if you leave now, you still might make it to see him." George Stacy says to Peter
"Okay, I'm going." Peter is leaving the house.
"Yuri, you and I are going to pay Mr. Wesley a visit. Let's get a warrant to bring him to the precinct." George Stacy says to Yuri.
George and Yuri are taking their first steps in taking down the Kingpin.
Spider-Man wearing his backpack, is swinging through Queens after he left the Stacy Residence, he's reaching Rikers prison.
"Let's hope that all this effort is worth it. I know that I'm taking a huge risk in taking down the Kingpin, but if I don't do something soon, Fisk will assume office and his power over New York will be complete. This cycle of violence Kingpin has inflicted for years must end soon." Spider-Man says in his thoughts.
Spider-Man almost reached the prison gate as he finds a place to ditch his suit and change into his regular clothes.

Lonnie Lincoln, the criminal known as Tombstone has been locked up since last Halloween after his defeat at the hands of Spider-Man. He's in the courtyard with some of the inmates, including Herman Schultz and the Enforcers. They're all playing basketball to kill the time, one of the inmates has his hands in the air.
"Lonnie! Over here!"
Lonnie ignored his teammate as he attempts to toss the ball into the basket but it bounced off as the opposing inmate got it and managed to get the ball into another basket. Lonnie picked up the basketball as his teammate is disappointed.
"Damn it Lonnie! I had my hands up! You just had to pass the ball!"
"Oh! My bad. You want the ball? Here!" Lonnie Lincoln tossed the ball hard the man went down hard.
A couple of guards walked out to the courtyard to see Lonnie Lincoln.
"Lonnie Lincoln! Let's go! You have a visitor!"
Lonnie is confused. "Who?"
(Visitation Room)
The guards took him to the visitation room where all the inmates are talking through the phones to the visitors on the other side of the glass. Lonnie sees a teenager he never seen before and is confused as to why a kid came to visit him.
Peter is sitting down on the other side waiting to talk with Lincoln. The hardened criminal sits down and picks up the phone, Peter did the same thing.
"Do I know you?" Lonnie is curious about the visitor.
"Hello Lonnie Lincoln, my name is Peter Parker." Peter introduced himself.
"Parker? Why does that sound so familiar?" Lonnie tries to remember.
"Halloween, you came after my aunt and held her hostage in her own home, you called me so that I could reach out to Spider-Man. Does all that ring a bell?" Peter still remains calm.
"Oh! Now I remember! You take photos of the hero who put me in here. It's nothing personal kid, I just wanted that bug. Are you still pissed that I came after your aunt? Go ahead, let's out that venom you're carrying inside your soul, I deserve it! I'm already paying enough for all my crimes, so go ahead, let it out!" Lonnie says to Peter.
"No... even though you did threaten my aunt. That's not why I'm here." Peter still remained calm and in control.
"Then what do you want?" Lonnie is still confused by Peter's presence.
"I want to talk about someone you know too well... the Kingpin." Peter said those words.
Lonnie is stunned by that name as he looks around only to see the guard in the other room not listening to the conversation.
"How do you know about the Kingpin? Who told you that? Was it Spider-Man?" Lonnie is a little shaken.
"What do you think?" Peter says to Lonnie.
"Trust me kid, this is one road you do not want to down. Do yourself a favor and leave this alone. It's not going to end well for you." Lonnie gave Peter a warning.
"I can't do that, this guy is responsible for the attack on the school where my girlfriend nearly got killed. But you already knew that, didn't you? You confessed to being the mastermind of the incident when I know full well that you're just a scapegoat, Kingpin is the one who ordered the attack." Peter knows everything.
"You certainly know too much, I hope you realize what you're getting into. This guy isn't someone you want to cross, you have no idea what he's capable of." Lonnie says to Peter.
"Oh, I know full well what he's capable of. You ended up confessing to a crime you've never orchestrated. While you're in here, Kingpin is out there enjoying his wealth and destroying so many innocent lives. You know who he is and you know ever detail of his heinous crimes." Peter says to Lonnie.
"Oh, I see. You want me to rat out the Kingpin, don't you?" Lonnie figured out Peter's angle.
"I'm not asking you to help me. Quite the opposite, you'd be doing yourself a favor. You were loyal to him until he betrayed you and left you to rot in here. If you say the word, then I can ask Captain Stacy to bring someone for you to turn states evidence against him." Peter says to Lonnie.
"Yeah, while you're at it, why not send me the news about my daughter. I hate the Kingpin for everything he's done to me, but I'm not that stupid to rat on him. If I talk, then my daughter pays the consequences. Forget it." Lonnie refuses to cooperate.
"What if I can arrange to have your daughter protected? Captain Stacy can have someone across the pond protect her until the Kingpin is in prison." Peter tries to persuade Lonnie.
"That'll be the day, this guy is too connected. He has people everywhere, inside the police and in the D.A's office, even here." Lonnie explained how much power Kingpin has.
"He doesn't have much power as he use to, Spider-Man has became a problem for him and his organization. Sooner or later, Kingpin is going down, all we need is that final push and you're the only one who can give it." Peter says to Lonnie.
Lonnie Lincoln wants Fisk to pay for all the misery he done to him and his daughter. He would gladly testify against Fisk but he could put his own daughter in danger the first minute he does. He puts his own daughter's safety above everything.
"If you guarantee her protection, then I'll talk. But only until she's completely safe and out of harm's way, not before." Lonnie says to Peter.
"As soon as I get confirmation that she's in protective custody, then I'll come back with Captain Stacy and you can start to testify against Kingpin." Peter says to Lonnie.
"It's a deal. One more thing, slam the glass and act all angry." Lonnie says to Peter.
"What?" Peter is confused.
"There are eyes in here, just do it." Lonnie says to Peter.
Peter slammed the glass with his hand and got everyone's attention.
"You're a monster! Hope you rot in here!" Peter acting all angry.
Peter put away the phone and walks out of the visitation room. Lonnie put the phone away and starts walking back until one of the guards blocked his way.
"Who was he and what did he want?"
"No one, just someone I've pissed off." Lonnie lied to the guard.
Lonnie kept walking back as the guard stayed behind and is suspicious about Lincoln's visitor. He went to the visitation log and see the name of the visitor. After he got the name, he found a place to hide and pulled out his phone.
At the same time at Fisk Tower, Wilson Fisk is trying to remain calm as he still desperate to find Owlsley soon, James Wesley came into the room.
"Anything?" Wilson Fisk is curious.
"Nothing, we call all our people and they still haven't found him yet. If he is alive then he's doing a good job hiding from us." Wesley explained to Fisk.
"Have our people work harder. The longer Owlsley is out there, the higher the chances he could unravel everything." Wilson Fisk is desperate.
Wesley's phone rang as he picked it up.
"Hello, you got something for me?" Wesley is listening.
Wesley listens as he became surprised by the news.
"I'm sorry, who came to see him?" Wesley wants to know more.
Wilson Fisk noticed Wesley on the phone with someone that got his attention.
"I see, thank you for the information." Wesley hangs up the phone and is all worried.
"What is it, Wesley?" Wilson Fisk is curious about his worries.
"Someone visited Lonnie Lincoln in prison." Wesley says with concerns.
"The police?" Wilson Fisk is curious.
"No, a kid. Someone name Peter Parker paid a visit to Lonnie Lincoln." Wesley is still puzzled.
"Peter Parker, I'm not familiar with that name." Wilson Fisk is wondering who this Peter Parker is.
"Let me find out." Wesley pick up his tablet.
Wesley searches the internet on any Peter Parker related to New York City and got some results.
"Got something from the Bugle's website, Peter Parker is a freelance photographer who takes decent photos of the masked hero Spider-Man." Wesley explained to Fisk.
"Spider-Man? So he is connected to that Wall-Crawler." Wilson Fisk is suspicious of Peter.
Wesley continues the search and looks up social media, he found his webpage and found some interesting things about Peter Parker.
"According to his social media page, he lives in Queens with his aunt and attends Midtown Science High School. This is where it gets interesting, he's also close friends with Gwen Stacy, the girl you sent the Enforcers after and nearly got her killed." Wesley gave more details about Peter's life.
"So this Peter Parker has a connection to Spider-Man and the girl, that can't be a coincidence." Wilson Fisk is more suspicious of Peter.
The buzzer rang as his secretary is calling.
"Mister Fisk, Captain Stacy and Lieutenant Watanabe are here outside your office."
Fisk and Wesley are even more surprised by the presence of the police here, they're curious as to what it's about.
"Send them in." Wilson Fisk tells his secretary.
Fisk and Wesley are watching as George Stacy and Yuri Watanabe walk into the office.
"Captain Stacy, this a surprise, what brings a couple of New York's finest here to my office?" Wilson Fisk being polite to them.
"Forgive the intrusion but we're not here to see you. We're here for him." George Stacy looking at Wesley.
"Me? Why?" Wesley is confused.
"We got evidence of you meeting with some shady individuals in the city and we like to ask you some questions." Yuri explained their reasons.
"We have a warrant to bring you in for questioning? So you either come with us of your own free will or in cuffs." George Stacy says to Wesley.
"Officers, there must be some kind of misunderstanding. Is this really necessary? Bringing my assistant to an interrogation, isn't that too extreme?" Wilson Fisk tries to reason with them.
"With all due respect Fisk, we're just doing our jobs." George isn't moved by Fisk's words.
"Do you know who I am?" Wilson Fisk tries to use his reputation.
"I know that you're running for mayor, but that doesn't stop me from doing my job. Mr. Wesley, are you coming with us or not?" George Stacy still goes through with his job.
"It's okay sir, I'll cooperate. Lead the way." Wesley agrees to go with them.
Yuri is escorting Wesley out of the office as George Stacy is still determined to see this through no matter what. Fisk noticed a change in George's attitude with him.
"Excuse me Fisk, have a good day." George Stacy leaves the office.
Wilson Fisk is getting too worried as his assistant is getting taken by police and by Captain Stacy's behavior with him. Things are starting to heat up with him very fast.
At the 13th precinct, James Wesley is in the interrogation room as Captain Stacy and Lieutenant Watanabe are entering and taking their seats.
"Mr. Wesley, have you been reminded of your rights?" Yuri says to Wesley.
"Yes, I have. Thank you for that. Would anyone care to tell what this is all about?" James Wesley is curious.
"Do know these two individuals?" Yuri shows pictures of him with Nobu and Mariah.
Wesley is still calm and staying in control during the interrogation, but he is surprised to see that someone got him on pictures with two crime bosses.
"You're doing surveillance on me?" Wesley says to them.
"No, but someone did, they were following you and you happened to be meeting with Nobu and Mariah in a shady part of town. Care to tell us why?" George Stacy interrogates Wesley.
"Okay, I was sent there to do negotiations on behalf of my boss. He wanted to strike a deal to help out struggling neighborhoods like the one in the photo." James Wesley gave an excuse to why he was there.
"Help out? How?" Yuri is interrogating Wesley.
"Well as you know, crime in this city has been on the rise in the past months alone, so I was sent to offer them a peaceful solution that doesn't allows gang wars or huge numbers of deaths to happen in our streets." James Wesley lied to them.
"So that's it? You doing negotiations with criminals with hopes to have peace in the neighborhood?" George Stacy isn't buying it.
"Is that a crime?" James Wesley still remained calm.
"No, but talking with two crime lords is suspicious." George Stacy says to Wesley.
"Perhaps, but it's still not concrete evidence because nothing illegal has happened." Wesley says to George Stacy.
"You seem to know too much about police procedures for an assistant." George is suspicious about Wesley.
"I got degrees in law and business from Harvard, all those years paid off. Now if you'll excuse me, I believe that I have a job to do. So either charge me or let me go." Wesley still remained confident.
George and Yuri are hitting a dead end as they knew that the photos aren't enough to charge him if they didn't show anything illegal happening.
Later Wesley walked out of the interrogation room as George and Yuri have no choice but to release him.
"Can believe that we're letting him go." Yuri is disappointed.
George watched Wesley walking until he spotted one of the officers looking at the man. George recognize the officer as the one from last Halloween who was in the room with Tombstone after his arrest.
"Let's talk in my office." George Stacy says to Yuri Watanabe.
Later George and Yuri are alone in his office as they needed the privacy away from the ears of anyone listening.
"What's this all about?" Yuri is curious.
"That officer was in the interrogation room on last Halloween when we were about to interrogate Lonnie for a confession on the school incident." George Stacy has some suspicion.
"Yeah, so?" Yuri says to George Stacy.
"So why did Lincoln suddenly confessed to a crime he didn't plan? Unless something or someone forced him to change his mind." George Stacy says to Yuri.
"You think that officer had something to do with Lincoln's sudden change of confession?" Yuri says to George Stacy.
"I'm not entirely sure, but we know how much connections Fisk has inside the department, it's not surprising that one of our own is bought up. I need you to look into his financials, any debts or money transfers to his account, and keep this between us until we know who exactly we can trust." George wants this done off the books.
"I understand, I'll get started." Yuri is going to do her job.
Back at Fisk Tower, James Wesley just returned from the precinct after being interrogated by the police.
"What did they want from you?" Wilson Fisk is curious.
"They had a photo of me meeting with Nobu and Mariah, I don't know how and why, but they got a photo somehow." Wesley explained to Fisk.
"How is that possible? I thought you were careful." Fisk is troubled by this news.
"I was, I always watch my back to make sure I wasn't followed by any cops, but somehow someone was following me without my knowledge. From the way the picture was taken, it had to been taken from somewhere high up. Who do you think has a vendetta against us and is capable of watching from far heights?" Wesley has suspicion of who took the photo.
"Spider-Man, it had to been him. He must be the one stirring up trouble. Captain Stacy was acting different around me recently." Wilson Fisk says to Wesley.
"Different? How?" Wesley is curious.
"His attitude, the look in his eyes, they're different than before. Like he knows something about me." Wilson Fisk describing George's attitude.
"I was interrogation with him, he had that same attitude with me. If he's like this to us, then that means that..." Wesley got cut off.
"... He knows that I'm the Kingpin. The same man who went after his daughter and nearly got her killed." Wilson Fisk figured it out.
"Then Spider-Man had to been the one who told Captain Stacy about you." Wesley says to Fisk.
"This is not good Wesley, this is not good at all. First Owlsley turns out to be alive, then some kid visited Lonnie Lincoln in prison, and now Captain Stacy is suspicious of me and you. We need to contain this whole mess before it all come out. See to it that our old friend never talks." Wilson Fisk say to Wesley.
Wesley made a call to someone inside the prison to make sure that Lonnie Lincoln keeps his mouth shut.
Back in Rikers, in the shower room as the prisoners are cleaning up. Lonnie Lincoln got attack by a couple of guys having manmade shives but his skin is extremely durable to be cut easily.
Lonnie fought back and took down the two inmates easily with his street fighting skills. But a couple of guards came in with taser guns with high voltages, they shot at Lincoln and shocked him. They use up all the power possible to put him down but he's slowly getting back up.
"Is that all you got?" Lonnie is still being shocked and trying to get back up.
Two more inmates came with metal pipes as they took a strong swing to Tombstone's head and knocked him unconscious. They kept on swinging the pipes more and more hurting the unconscious Lonnie. But more guards came in and sees the enhanced criminal on the ground and unconscious, the guard checked the pulse.
"He's still alive, but he's comatose."
Lonnie Lincoln is in a coma after the attack and is unable to testify against the Kingpin in his state.
Sometime in Forest Hills as the sunsets, at the Stacy Residence Peter just came back after talking with Lonnie Lincoln and informed George Stacy that he'll cooperate if his daughter is safe and out of harms way.
"Okay, I've contacted Scotland Yard and they're moving her into protective custody as we speak. Tomorrow you could let Lincoln know about the deal." George Stacy says to Peter.
"Hopefully this will be a step in taking down Fisk." Peter has his hopes.
George's phone is ringing.
"I gotta take this." George answered the phone. "Captain Stacy here."
Peter waited until George is finished with his call.
"What?! When did this happen?!" George didn't look too happy.
Peter noticed the change in George's behavior.
"Damn it! Thanks for informing me." George Stacy hangs up.
"What's wrong?" Peter is worried.
"Lonnie Lincoln got attacked in Rikers and is now in a coma." George explained what happened.
"What? Someone attacked him?" Peter is surprised by the news.
"It had to be Fisk, he must've found out that you visited him and started getting suspicious about your intentions with Lincoln. If he knows that you've talked to Lonnie about him, then..." George is worried for Peter's safety.
"Then I'm a possible target. That means that I'm in danger." Peter is worried about being in danger.
Gwen came back home and listened to Peter about being in danger. Peter and George see Gwen walking in on their conversation.
"What? Peter is in danger?" Gwen is very worried for her boyfriend.
"Unfortunately yes, he might be in danger. The same man who came after you at the school might target Peter." George had to inform his daughter.
"You know who it is? What about you Peter? Do you know?" Gwen is asking her boyfriend for answers.
Peter tries to hide it but Gwen could tell that he's hiding something, he look at George who nodded his head.
"Yeah, I know who it is... it's Wilson Fisk, he's the man who calls himself the Kingpin. He's the very same man who attacked the school to get to you. It was him, it was always him." Peter confessed the truth to Gwen.
Gwen is processing the news of the man who is running for mayor, the same man she saw last December. She couldn't believe that he's the one who came after her at the school, the one who nearly killed her.
"Gwen?" Peter tries to get her attention.
"Why do you say that Peter might be the target?" Gwen is worried.
"Because I'm helping your dad in exposing the Kingpin, but we may have ended up poking the bear and getting him angry." Peter says to Gwen.
"So what's the next move? Are you going to take down Fisk?" Gwen is curious.
"We had a plan to have Lincoln testify against him, but now he's in a coma and we're right back to square one." Peter explained the situation.
"Maybe not? There might be another way to stop him from being voted mayor." George Stacy has a plan.
"There is? How?" Peter is interested in the plan.
"We'd have to tell everyone the truth and expose Fisk as the Kingpin, the people of New York needs to know who Wilson Fisk is." George Stacy revealed his plan.
"But we don't have any evidence tying him to any crime." Peter says to George Stacy.
"No, but if we tell everyone the truth about his double life, it'll be enough for everyone to doubt him and his campaign will take a huge hit. Everyone still remembers the Midtown High incident and they're still hurt by it. We just have to tell everyone the truth and they'll change their minds about voting for Fisk, he won't be able to take office." George Stacy explained his plan.
"Peter, what do you think?" Gwen says to Peter.
"It might work, but we'll need the support of the news media to let the message out, but it won't be enough if they hear just one person." Peter says to them.
"What about the school? Everyone of our classmates who got held hostage still remembers that day and still wants retribution for it. We can ask them to help us raise our voice against Wilson Fisk." Gwen suggested to Peter.
"It's too risky, if we get them involved, we'll be putting a target on all of their backs too. I can't ask our classmates to risk their lives for us." Peter is against this idea.
"Peter, our lives were already in danger the moment Fisk came after all of us, we were all scared that day until Spider-Man came and saved all our lives, he gave us hope, he saved my life and because of him, I got to live again and be with you." Gwen says to Peter.
Peter smiled as Gwen has changed a lot since that day, but so has he, he became a hero from that point on.
"Okay, let's make some calls to our classmates. It's time that we unmask Wilson Fisk." Peter agrees to Gwen's idea.
Peter and Gwen pulled out their phones as they started to call a few of their classmates for their help in organizing a protest.
George Stacy smiled as he's proud of how much his daughter and Peter have grown, they've became brave that they're willingly to stand up against a man who uses intimidation and fear on the innocent. But he's more happy that those two finally got together as a couple.
The next day at Fisk Tower as he never left for home, he still has a lot on his mind. Wesley came into the room with coffee as he too stayed behind.
"Our people in Rikers was able to silence Lonnie Lincoln, he's in a coma but unfortunately he got moved out by the NYPD and relocated somewhere beyond our reach." Wesley explained the situation.
"We need to pray that Lincoln remains in the coma, because if wakes up and starts talking, then it's over for us all, he knows too much." Fisk is still feeling cornered.
"Understood, but he's not the current problem we're facing, Owlsley is still out there and we still haven't located him. Not to mention that Parker kid visiting Lincoln and Captain Stacy closing in on us. Sir, I hate to say this but we're cornered on every angle. If the inevitable comes, then we'll have to leave New York." Wesley suggested to Fisk.
"Run away? I won't throw away everything it took 30 years to build all because of some suspicion. If they had anything on me, then I'll be arrested and in prison by now. No, I'm staying and I will fight anyone who dares go against me, whether they be the police, teenagers, or even the whole city if I have to. I'll kill anyone who gets in my way." Wilson Fisk isn't backing down from anything.
It's a school day but Peter decided to skip school for this special occasion, he's at his home with his girlfriend Gwen and his best friends Mary Jane and Harry who wants to help Peter and Gwen in their fight. They are joined by Flash, Kong, Randy, Betty, and Glory who all skipped school to help them. They hear the doorbell rang as Peter walked up and opens it, it's his ex-girlfriend Liz who came.
"Liz? Thank you for coming." Peter says to Liz.
"Look Peter, I'm only here to help my friends, that's all." Liz stated to Peter.
"Fair enough, we're all waiting for you." Peter say to Liz.
Liz joined the group as no one knows what this meeting is all about other that it's important for them to be here.
"Thank you all for coming. I know that each of you skip school and I appreciate that you all made the time." Peter says to everyone.
"Okay Parker, we're all here. Care to tell us what this all about?" Flash is curious about the meet.
"Okay, then let's begin. There's something that I've been keeping from all of you for a while now. It concerns the attack on the school last year and it's time that you all know the truth." Peter says to everyone.
"What truth?" Betty is curious.
"The man who was behind all of it... was Wilson Fisk." Peter reveals the truth.
Everyone is shocked to find out that Wilson Fisk is the man responsible for what happened at the school last year.
"I know this is a lot to take in, but you all deserve to know the truth. Wilson Fisk is really a dangerous criminal mastermind who calls himself the Kingpin." Peter says to everyone.
"Why would this Fisk guy attack our school? For what purpose?" Glory is still processing it.
"To get to me, my dad went after him and crippled his criminal business. So Fisk sent his men to our school to get to me, he didn't care about endangering anyone who was there that day." Gwen says to everyone.
"I can't believe that Wilson Fisk is really a criminal mastermind and he's capable of something so monstrous." Betty is still in shock.
"I do, I had my suspicion. But thanks to Spider-Man, it has been confirmed." Peter says to the group.
"So why tell us now, what's the purpose of this meeting?" Randy asking Peter.
"What me and Gwen are about to ask you all is risky, but we need to unite and tell the whole city the truth about who Wilson Fisk really is. But I should warn you, this is a very dangerous man we're about to expose and could come with risks. If any of you aren't up to it, then it's your right to step out now." Peter says to the group.
"Like hell I'm stepping out! This guy came after all of us and purposely endangered all our lives. I'm not going to lie, I was scared that day, I thought my life was going to be over in that moment until Spider-Man came and saved all our lives. He gave us hope and made me believe that there is still a tomorrow to live for. If you're going to step up against Fisk, then count me in!" Flash smiled as he stood up brave.
Peter smiled as he admired Flash's new found courage, he certainly has changed a lot since last year thanks to Spider-Man.
Randy stands up. "Spider-Man saved my life that day, he even saved my dad from one of Fisk's partners. I'm with you Parker."
Kong stands up. "Can't let you two go out there, someone needs to stand with you guys. I'm in."
Betty stands up. "I was also in danger with Robbie that day too, I'm not backing down."
Glory stands up. "They threaten me and my best friend, I'm with you."
Harry stands up. "This needs to end now!"
Mary Jane stands up. "It's time that we fight back and show Fisk that we're not afraid."
"He came after me and tried to use me to hurt my dad, I'm not backing down no matter what." Gwen is being brave.
"Neither am I, it's time that the people of New York know the truth. We're going to unmask Wilson Fisk once and for all." Peter says to everyone.
Everyone see that Liz is remaining quiet but she stands up.
"I'm not walking away from all this, all my friends were threatened by this man. I'm with you all till the end." Liz is being brave too.
"Okay, then all agree. But first, we're going to need the help of the media to spread our message to the city. Betty, it's time that you and me ask Jameson for help." Peter asking Betty.
"Gladly Peter, let's get going." Betty smiled at Peter.
"We're going to wait at the school with everyone, hopefully everyone will listen." Gwen says to Peter.
"Okay, good luck Gwen." Peter smiled at Gwen.
"You too Peter." Gwen smiled back at Peter.
Peter and Gwen both kissed each other as everyone on the room noticed and smiled as they say 'whoa!' and whistled.
"Get a room, you two! I'm happy that you're both dating, but do you have to do in front of us!" Flash smiled as he teased them.
Peter and Gwen smiled back at everyone, Liz is still bothered by those two being a couple but she still committed to the group, she's not backing out. Peter left with Betty as they get some more help.
As they walk outside, unknown to them, someone is hidden nearby watching the house as Peter and Betty are walking away. This guy is following them, keeping his distance as to not be noticed.
At Fisk Tower, Wilson Fisk still remained strong despite the fact he's getting cornered by the police and an old associate back from the dead.
"What is the status of Peter Parker?" Wilson Fisk is curious.
"Not to worry sir. I've already sent one of our spies to watch him and is now following him." Wesley informs Fisk.
"Good, I don't want to take the chance of that kid getting too curious for his own good." Wilson Fisk says to Wesley.
"And if he does?" Wesley is wondering.
"This is New York, accidents do tend to happen to anyone, even to the younger ones." Wilson Fisk is willing to go so far to protect himself.
Fisk's phone rang as he picked it up, it's from a blocked number.
"Unknown, must be Mariah or Nobu?" Wilson Fisk answered the phone. "Hello?"
"Hello Fisk, remember me? I hear the you've been looking for me." Owlsley revealed his voice.
Wilson Fisk is shocked to hear that voice again.
"Owlsley, back from the dead, you should've stayed dead." Wilson Fisk says to Owlsley.
"Did you really think that I'd stay away after you've had my family killed?" Owlsley didn't sound too happy.
"You gave Spider-Man my name, what did you expect? Examples had to be made, you crossed the line." Wilson Fisk showed no remorse.
"You crossed the line first when you betrayed all of us! We helped you in your business and you turned on us! Don't forget that I was your partner back in the day when you were just a lieutenant for Don Rigoletto until you killed him. I've helped you from the very beginning and documented all your business dealings and payments, I have everything I need to bring you down!" Owlsley threatening Fisk.
"Is that supposed to scare me? I'm not afraid!" Fisk isn't showing fear.
"You should be, this is the end of the line for you, Wilson Fisk. You'll pay for killing my family, I'll see to it that you're ruined and destroyed!" Owlsley hangs up.
"Owlsley? Owlsely?!" Wilson Fisk got hung up.
Wilson Fisk is starting to panic as Owlsley has proof of everything he's done in the last 30 years and he's threatening him.
"Wesley, I want you to trace the call he made to this phone and find out where he's hiding." Wilson Fisk orders Wesley.
"I'll have our people inside the department to decrypt this blocked number, hopefully we'll have better luck finding him." Wesley says to Fisk.
"If they find him, kill him on sight." Fisk gave the order.
Wesley took a look at the phone to see the blocked number and plans to find out where the call came from.
At the Daily Bugle, Peter and Betty are in the office talking with Jameson for help in exposing Wilson Fisk.
"You got to be kidding me? Wilson Fisk is the famous Kingpin of Crime who's been ruling New York with an iron fist. That's ridiculous." Jameson isn't buying it.
"But it's the truth, the people of New York deserve to know the kind of man Fisk really is, he's a criminal. We need your help to call for a press conference so that everyone can learn the truth." Peter says to Jameson.
"Okay, say that I do help you. Who is your source in all this?" Jameson wants to know who's give Parker the information on Fisk.
"I can't say, you're not going to like it." Peter refused to divulge the source.
"Who is it? If you want my help, then tell me." Jameson wants to know the source.
"Spider-Man, he told me that Wilson Fisk is the Kingpin." Peter told the truth.
"Spider-Man?! You can't be serious! You're asking me to call for a press conference because that menace told you that the man who is running for mayor who helped this city is secretly a criminal mastermind! Forget it! Never going to happen! It's probably all lies!" Jameson refused to help.
"Jameson, I'm telling the truth! Wilson Fisk is the man who attack the school and purposely endangered so many innocent lives! You're telling me that you rather believe in the man who is a criminal rather than a Masked Marvel who save so many lives that day?!" Peter tries to speak up.
"Take the rest of the week off Parker, you're suspended!" Jameson refused to hear more.
"You don't want to help because to you Spider-Man is an outlaw! You're right about that, Spider-Man is an outlaw, he's cares more about saving the innocent lives of this city rather than following the law. But what Wilson Fisk has done is far worse! That man intentionally attacked the school and held it hostage, he nearly killed the girl I love, and I'm willingly to risk myself if it's going to help save lives! So you rather just sit back and do nothing because of your personal vendetta against Spider-Man!" Peter dare to raise his voice and speak up.
"You're asking me to risk my paper's reputation because of his say so?! You know what, forget the suspension! Peter Parker, you're fired! Get out of my building, I'm done trying to reason with you." Jameson fired Peter.
Everyone who was in the room was listening and shocked to hear that Peter is fired for trying to tell the truth. Peter is walking out with Betty following him as Robbie Robertson is looking.
Peter and Betty are reaching the elevator to leave.
"I'm sorry Peter, what are we going to do now?" Betty is out of ideas.
"Wait!" Robbie is running towards them.
"Mr. Robertson, what are doing here?" Peter is curious about Robbie.
"Last year, Spider-Man saved Randy from the school incident, then later he saved me and Betty's lives afterwards. I know that the Bugle has painted him as a menace but to me, the guy is a hero. If your gut is telling you that Wilson Fisk is a criminal, then I want to help." Robbie offers his help.
"How?" Peter is curious.
"I have some contacts in the media like the Daily Globe and New York Bulletin. If you want, I can call them and asked them to set up the press conference at the school." Robbie says to Peter and Betty.
"That be great, thank you." Peter smiled as there's still hope.
"I'll make the arrangements. I hope you know what you're doing." Robbie says to Peter.
"Yeah, me too." Peter says to Robbie.
"We should get going, everyone is waiting at the school." Betty says to Peter.
"Of course, thank you Mr. Robertson." Peter got into the elevator with Betty.
Robbie did his work and started to make some calls to his contacts in the media.
(Outside the Daily Bugle)
Peter and Betty are walking out of the Bugle as someone is watching and spotted them leaving, he follows after them with a weapon hidden in his jacket.
Peter is walking with Betty until his spider sense is tingling as he knows that something is wrong. He pulled out his phone to look at the reflection, he see someone following him. He recognized the guy from when they left his house.
"Betty, head back to the school. There's something that I gotta take care of." Peter gave an excuse.
"Okay, see you there." Betty kept walking.
Peter walked into a different direction as Betty is still walking away, the two separated as the man still follows after Peter. Peter had to think of something to shake this guy off as he spots an alley, he decided to go into it.
The guy follows after Peter in the alley but lost sight of him as Peter Parker has disappeared. The man continues to search around for Peter but so far no luck.
"Where are you kid?"
The guy got webbed and got pulled up as he's off the ground, Spider-Man is the one who pulled him to the rooftop.
"Spider-Man?!"
"Why are you following Peter Parker? Who sent you?" Spider-Man is interrogating the man.
"Nothing! I wasn't following anyone!"
Spider-Man reached his hand in the man's jacket and pulled out a gun with a silencer.
"Do you always carry guns with silencers? Did Kingpin send you?" Spider-Man asking the questions,
"I was just supposed to watch and see what that Parker kid knew, that's all."
Spider-Man figured that Wilson Fisk is on to him after that visit to see Lincoln, he's suspicious of Peter Parker and now came after him.
(Later)
Two cops came out of the coffee shop as then see a man hanging upside down in a web with a gun stuck on it. The cops figured that he's another crook left by Spider-Man, so they worked to arrest the man.
It's after school as the press has assembled around the school with every classmates together showing their support. Betty had already came early after Peter ditched her to lose the spy. Gwen is waiting for Peter to get here as she's getting worried.
"Where are you Peter?" Gwen is worried for Peter.
"Gwen!" Peter came running to her.
"Peter." Gwen gave Peter a hug.
"Sorry I'm late, had a feeling that someone was following me." Peter said his reason of being late.
"My god, did someone hurt you?" Harry is worried.
"Don't worry, Spider-Man got my back. Has the conference started?" Peter is asking them.
"No, we were just waiting for you." Flash says to Peter.
"Okay, I'm feeling a nervous about this, but this has to be done." Peter says to the group.
"I'm with you, Peter." Gwen stands beside him.
"Me too, let's light it up." Mary Jane stands beside him too.
Peter, Gwen, and Mary Jane all took their first steps forward as the rest of the classmates stand beside them, the press all have their cameras and microphones ready. Gwen has her hand locked with Peter as she won't leave his side and will stand beside him for this occasion.
"Thank you everyone for coming to our school, my name is Peter Parker and we are all standing together at Midtown High School to give our voice to the city. Today is the day we tell the truth to the people of New York City. For years, this city has been ruled by a criminal mastermind who uses intimidation and fear on the innocent, a man who has been a wolf in sheep's clothing, this man has committed a huge number of crimes in the city for years. This man calls himself the Kingpin." Peter tells the press.
(Fisk Tower)
Wilson Fisk is worried about Owlsley exposing Fisk with the evidence he's got against him, but he sits in his office drinking his glass of whiskey to calm his nerves. Wesley got a call from someone who has urgent news to tell them.
"Thank you for notifying me." Wesley hangs up all worried.
"What's wrong this time?" Wilson Fisk is curious.
"We got a huge problem, better turn on the news." Wesley is worried more than ever.
Wesley turns on the TV as they watched live news happening at Midtown High, they see Peter Parker speaking to the press.
"The Kingpin is the same man who attacked our school and endangered all our lives, this man nearly killed the girl I love." Peter standing with Gwen.
"This guy didn't care that we were kids, he wanted to hurt my dad by using me as payback against him." Gwen speaks out.
"Mr. Parker, do you know who this Kingpin is?"
"Yes, I do. His name... is Wilson Fisk." Peter revealed the Kingpin's true identity.
Wilson Fisk is shocked and overwhelmed that that boy just unmasked him as the Kingpin of Crime on live TV.
"Wilson Fisk, the candidate running for mayor is the Kingpin?"
"That's right, this man has pretend to be a friend to the city but in reality he's nothing but a coward who hides behind a facade while for years he's destroyed so many innocent lives and profited from our suffering and despair. He's has been in league with several known criminals, Lonnie Lincoln, Silvio Manfredi, and Leland Owlsley. He uses his connections to protect these criminals and allows them to inflict harm on the good people of New York. If everyone is listening to this, don't vote for Wilson Fisk, because if he's elected mayor, then he'll have absolute power over all of our lives. I know that I'm risking a lot, including my own life telling the truth, but I'm asking the people of New York for their help to make sure that he'll never end up becoming mayor. As for Wilson Fisk if he's watching, I have a message for him. Your days of using fear on us is over, soon you'll pay for all the innocent lives you destroyed. That is my promise to you, individually we maybe weak, but this city and it's people are more stronger than you are, we all will fight against you Fisk!" Peter finished his speech.
Wilson Fisk got mad as he crushed his glass of whiskey in a bit of rage as a boy finally dared speak out against him and called him a coward. Peter Parker just made a very dangerous enemy after that press conference, Wilson Fisk will make sure that he suffers for his actions against him.
(Midtown Science High School)
"Thank you Mr. Parker for the time and for telling everyone the truth."
The news crew stop and pack up after the story of Wilson Fisk has finally got out and the whole city knows the truth.
"Nice Parker! Didn't know that you had it in you!" Flash is impressed by Peter's action.
"Yeah, did you write that down first, or was it at the top of your head." Randy is impressed too.
"I want to thank each of you for your support on this day. Hopefully our message has reach to the people of New York." Peter says to the group.
"Looks like it already has, people are tweeting on the social media pages, check it out." Betty is looking at the phone.
Everyone pulled out their phones as more people are supporting the students of Midtown High and agreed to withdraw their support for Fisk. People are already starting to turn against him as they are angry and saying terrible things about him.
Outside of Fisk Tower, the NYPD has barricaded the building as people are standing outside yelling to Wilson Fisk.
"You're a monster, Fisk!"
"How could do that to our young men and women?!"
"You deserve to be in prison!"
Wilson Fisk is still in his office as a protest group is outside insulting him after the truth went out. All the insults are starting to get to him and making him angry.
"Sir, the members of the party are here." Wesley is entering the office.
Wilson Fisk is trying to remain calm despite the protest and the huge hit his reputation has taken.
"I didn't know that we had an appointment?" Wilson Fisk tries to stay in control.
"We don't, but this a very special case, especially now."
"I understand, but everything that boy says is slander. Someone is making him say those things about me, probably under the orders of one of my opponents." Wilson Fisk tries to deny the accusation.
"We just the call from the governor, as of right now, you're under criminal investigation."
"Investigation for what? You're take the words of a fifteen year old over a man who dedicated his life to the city?" Wilson Fisk is outraged.
"Fisk, your campaign and reputation has taken a huge hit. The governor wants you under investigation, he wants to know if there's any shred of truth from this accusation. He also wants you to withdraw from your candidacy for running for mayor, effectively immediately."
"You can't do this to me... I've worked hard for this city... DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I'VE SACRIFICED!!!" Wilson Fisk lost his cool and yelled out anger.
The party members got shocked by Fisk's outburst.
"Fisk, it's over. The decision has been made, you're out. Get a lawyer, you'll need it."
The party members left the office as Fisk is forced to drop out of the race and lose his chance of becoming mayor for good.
Fisk's phone rang as his wife is calling him.
"Vanessa!" Wilson Fisk is worried about his wife.
"Fisk, there are reporters outside the gate want to talk to me about this accusation made against you. Please tell me this isn't true." Vanessa is concerned for her husband.
"Of course not. How can I do such a thing against a school, let alone this city? Vanessa, you've known me for years. Do you believe that I'm capable of such heinous acts?" Wilson Fisk tries to hide the truth from his wife.
"I don't know what to think. You're always too busy in your work even at night, like you've got a double life that I don't know about." Vanessa is more concerned.
"But none of this makes me a criminal. Please Vanessa, trust me." Wilson Fisk tries to calm his wife down.
"I do trust you. But Wilson, I'm... scared." Vanessa is worried.
"I'm going to fight with everything I've got to clear my name. Everything is going to be alright. I love you Vanessa." Fisk tells his wife.
"I love you too Wilson." Vanessa hangs up.
Wilson Fisk can't believe that his own wife is becoming more suspicious of him, things in his life are spiraling out of control.
"Let me through!" Nobu came bursting into Fisk's office.
"How dare you burst into my office at a bad time!" Wilson Fisk isn't more happy.
"I've noticed already. You're already losing control of everything! What a shame for the mighty Kingpin." Nobu mocks Fisk.
"I'd be careful Nobu what comes out of your mouth." Fisk getting more angrier.
"Or what? You'll kill me like you've killed your former partners." Nobu continues to mock Fisk.
"If you keep provoking me, I will." Fisk is losing control of himself.
"It's amazing that the great Kingpin of Crime of being undone all because of an accusation a fifteen year old made against you." Nobu smiled in amazement.
"I'm not undone yet. The police still don't have anything against me, otherwise I'd be arrested. I still have control over my criminal empire." Fisk assures Nobu.
"You better hope so Fisk for your own sake. Clean up your mess, or we'll do it for you." Nobu said his final words to Fisk.
Nobu walks out of the office as Wilson Fisk is clinching his teeth in anger and all that rage inside him started to build up. Wilson Fisk finally snapped as he got up and flips over his desk, he let out all that rage as Wesley got surprised that never seen his boss loss his control like this before.
"I want Peter Parker dead as soon as possible." Wilson Fisk says with anger.
"Sir?" Wesley is surprised by this response.
"You heard me, this kid started this whole mess. If he thinks that he can just speak out against me, then he's got another surprise coming. Kill Peter Parker now!" Wilson Fisk wants Peter dead.
"But after this accusation he made against you, that might not be the best move to make." Wesley is against the idea.
"I said I want Peter Parker dead, NOW!!! I want this done tonight!" Wilson Fisk isn't changing his mind.
It's nighttime at the Parker Residence as Peter and May are watching the news about Wilson Fisk.
"After the accusation made against Wilson Fisk has made public, his candidacy for mayor has been terminated and he is currently under criminal investigation. Accord to the students of Midtown High, they believe that Fisk order the attack on their school and held a huge number of hostages last year, during the incident Gwendolyne Stacy of Queens nearly lost her life that day until Spider-Man came to her rescue and saved her along with a huge number of hostages. NYPD as well as government agencies are working to look into Fisk's business for any ties to organized crime."
"Wow, that man really is ruined! I guess it's true what they say. 'what goes around, comes around.' I'm so proud of you Peter for standing up to a man who used fear to terrorize the innocent." May is impressed by Peter's actions.
"Thank you Aunt May, it means so much to me. I just couldn't stand by and watch as the man who nearly killed Gwen control the city. After the truth went out, that's very unlikely for Mr. Fisk." Peter says with confidence.
"What happened to you?" May is wondering about Peter.
"What do you mean?" Peter says to May.
"Ever since last year, you use to be a quiet shy boy who stayed out of trouble. But lately you've become brave and responsible. You've changed a lot since then, how is that possible?" May notice his change in personality.
"I guess there is a reasonable explanation for it." Peter is hesitant to whether to tell May the truth about himself.
Peter then hears noises coming from outside the house like motorcycles are closing in, his spider sense started to tingle.
Five men outside on motorcycles brought guns to the neighborhood as Peter's spider sense grew stronger as danger in happening now.
"Get down!" Peter quickly got Aunt May down on the ground.
Gunshots are popping out as men started shooting at the house with automatic weapons. Peter and May both took cover behind the couch as they keep their heads down, Peter cover May to protect her. Bullets are causing too much damage to the house until the bullets stopped.
"They're out of bullets! Come on!" Peter got up and escorted May.
The five men outside reloads their guns with more bullets.
Peter got May to the basement door and escorted her inside.
"Aunt May, stay in here and lock the door." Peter instructed May.
"What about you?" May is worried for Peter.
"I'll be fine, stay here!" Peter closes the basement door.
Peter then hears more bullets being fired as he runs upstairs to his bedroom. He made to the bedroom as he picked up his backpack and starts to change into his costume.
Meanwhile the men outside stopped firing their guns as they wondered if they killed anyone inside.
"Remember, no witnesses."
The men enters the houses for confirmation of Peter Parker's death and anyone with him. They search around the house to see all the damage they've caused to it.
Aunt May is still hiding in the basement as he nephew told her to do but she's still nervous as she moves and caused a bit of noise.
The five men heard it coming from the basement as they have their weapons ready to kill. They decided to search the basement to see if Peter is hiding in there. But unknown to them, Spider-Man fired off some webs onto their guns and yanked them off their hands.
"Spider-Man?!"
One guy tries to pull out his pistol but Spider-Man web the guy and pulled him towards him as he strikes back with a flying knee. Spider-Man then looked to his left and see two more about to pull their pistols but he kicked the couch hard towards them and knocking them out cold.
Aunt May is still hidden in the basement as she hears a ruckus happening upstairs and is getting worried for Peter. She found a footlocker full of Ben Parker's stuff from his days as military police and found his old service weapon.
Spider-Man is fighting off the last two men as one of them is behind him and Spidey does the jump spinning back kick and strikes him. The last guy see that Spider-Man defeated four of his buddies easily, he makes a run for the door until Spider-Man webbed his back and pulls him in towards hind, Spidey grabbed him by the shirt abs intimidates him.
"Who sent you?!" Spider-Man isn't too happy.
"No one!"
Spider-Man then punched him in the gut, making the guy yell in pain.
"I'm not going to ask again! Who sent you to attack this house?!" Spider-Man interrogates the man.
"Okay, Okay! It was the Kingpin! He sent us to kill Peter Parker and anyone with him! That's all I know, I swear!"
"Thank you." Spider-Man punched the man in the face, knocking him out cold.
Spider-Man is angry that Wilson Fisk sent men to his house to kill him and his aunt together, but he's not too surprised since he outted Fisk's secrets to the public, this was retaliation.
Spider-Man is more worried about his Aunt who got caught up in the middle of this war, he went to check on her to make sure that she's alright. He opens the door to see Aunt May holding a gun pointing at him.
"Stay back!" May is panicking while pointing the gun.
"Where did you get a gun?" Spider-Man is surprised.
"It was my husband's service weapon." May answered the question.
Spider-Man tries to comfort her but she panicked a bit and still holds the gun.
"Get back!" May is still holding the gun. "My nephew was nearly killed because of you! He risked his life telling the truth and men came to our house with guns! You dragged him into this war of yours!" May is distrustful of Spider-Man.
"I'm not your enemy! I only want to keep you and your nephew safe! You gotta trust me!" Spider-Man tries to reason with May.
"Why should I trust you?!" May still has her doubts.
Spider-Man did something he never thought of doing, he slowly has his hand on his mask. He slowly pulls the mask off his head and showed his face. May became shocked to see her nephew's face behind the mask.
"Because you always have Aunt May." Peter showed her the truth.
May is still in shock. "Oh my god... Peter."
May couldn't believe it but her nephew Peter Parker is the masked hero known as Spider-Man, it was him this entire time.
