Happy Reading!
To be completely honest the day that the letters had arrived from Hogwarts, Dite was not expecting the content of these letters. Lily had became Head-Girl and would be leaving Alice and Dite to sleep in the Head dorms, which no one but the Heads and Professors knew where that dorm was located. Dite had a feeling that it was in one of the towers that was barely used for classes. What shocked them all and caused Sirius to act Dramatically was the appointment of James as Head-Boy and Quidditch captain. Dite watched the boy stair at the letter in shock, they all found out when Sirius took the letter out of James's hands to read out loud. Remus was even shocked as James was one of the last boys any in the group would get head boy. Remus was still the prefect of Gryffindor and when Dite read her letter, she found out the she her self had been appointed as the prefect that would replace Lily in their year. Regulus had also kept his position of prefect of the Slytherin house. Gid who was there when they got their letters as they where still in Greece, congratulated the group for their appointments and achievements. Soon Gid had arranged for a celebratory dinner with the family members of Dite's friends. It was the last day of their little trip to Greece when Sophia came over early to start to cook for their party. Soon most where up and sitting out by the pool, Dite looked around and turned her attention to Remus whom was busy reading a book that he found while on an outing to the muggle area of the island a few days ago.
"Remus where's Sirius?" She asked frowning her brow.
"He wanted to sleep in this morning." As a grin formed on his face, it was a grin that she came to recognize only appeared when he and the others where up to no good.
"What did you guys do?" She asked eyeing Peter and James warily.
"Oh, we just did alittle of this and a little of that, Di-Di." James shrugged while his smirk grew bigger.
It still amazed Dite how James and Harry where so much alike and yet so completely different at the same time. She believed that it had something to do with how they look like carbon copies of each other except their eyes. But the more she spent time with James the more she knew it was because Harry had inherited more of his father's personality. She wondered what Harry would be like having James and Lily in his life, possibly Harry may end up being more like James then he was. Or maybe he'll turn out to be more like Lily, Dite thought while looking between the two how used to fight like cats and dogs not two years ago. Soon Lord Black had arrived fallowed by Lord and Lady Potter, lastly Lord Greengrass had arrived. Lord and Lady Longbottum would be arriving later as they had plans already made before the impromptu party for the soon to be Seventh years. The father's had each a glass of fire whisky in hand while the Ladies had a glass of elf wine as they all sat by the pool with the teens. Sirius's absence hasn't gone un-noticed by any one. Again when asked Remus or James simply explained that Sirius wanted to sleep more. The girls just rolled their eyes because they knew that the boys had something up their sleeves. Soon they would all find out why Sirius has made such a late appearance.
When Sirius had appeared, everyone in the room became quiet and staired. He stood there nearly as red as Dite had seen Molly when she was angry. His eyes set to the boys that where his best friends. If they could have seen the smoke coming from his ears from how pissed his was at his friends they would.
"Sirius where are your clothes?" Lily asked trying to avert her eyes.
"The Bloody Hell of I know." He snapped with his eyes still on jis friends.
"Well I suggest you find them then." Alice smirked as she looked anywhere but at him.
"Lovely isn't it? Figured after that nasty potion you gave us earlier this week, you needed to be brought down a peg, mate." James smirked at his friend.
Dite noticed that Remus was stairing, she leaned over to his ear.
"I can agree he is a specimen, but you may want to wipe the drool from your face if you don't want to be found out." She teased, causing him to actually wipe his chin.
"How do you know that?" Remus whispered back.
"Any girl could tell Remy." Dite winked at him as he groaned at her words.
"Enough! Boys give the streakier back his clothes so that the rest of us can enjoy the day with out being flashed." Sophia spoke with the authority that they would pay attention to.
Dite with a flick of her wand, clothes came flying towards Sirius and dressed him. She took pity on the boy as the others had yet to actually move from their spots. She noted that the Lords just shook their heads as the Ladies rolled their eyes like this was something normal.
As the day continued to roll on, the teens enjoyed the day before they returned to London. Dite watched as Fab and Gid spoke to Alphrad about something that seemed to be important. Remus couldn't stop stairing at Sirius who was hopelessly flirting with all three girls, who just giggled at him. Dite knew that this was the day that Remus figured out that he was Bi and attracted to one of his best friends even if it came about because of a prank on Sirius. But Dite believed that everything would fall into place soon. As she looked at the others, she over heard that Molly had finally decided on a name for her baby that was due in November, William or Bill as Dite would call him. She couldn't wait till the day that Bill came home with his hair long, a single earing in his right ear, and wearing that dragon tooth necklace that his younger brother Charlie would give him. Soon the Weasley family will be as it was, and she would be known as their cousin, which would be strange in one way and comforting way. She can encourage Ron to get to know Hermione Granger once they are in school, even convince Harry that the know-it-all would be a great friend. She remembered how Ron was when it came to her old self and this is a moment that she can change after the war is won. Her dream of looking into the pool and seeing what she had scared her. What if changing her core really created a genuine oracle like she and Sophia had spoken about after the last one where she saw the other Horcrux's? If that had happen then maybe everything was fated to end how it is. Sophia had asked if Dite had seen other things in her dreams. When she explained that the first one she was lead to the pool by a patronus that wasn't her own, Sophia thought that it might be the one that the fates had destined Aphrodite Prewett to be with. As everything happens, Dite learned that Sophia had and will always believe in the goddess and the fates as many wizards and witches that where raised by a family of Greek decent has always had. She her self had began to believe in the goddess and the fates.
"Di, what's on that pretty mind of yours?" Regulus asked as he took a seat next to her where she sat with her feet in the water.
"Many things are on my mind, it's a bit synchysi at the moment." She sighed looking at the rest.
"What have you seen in your mind?" He asked.
"To many things to count." Dite kicked the water up.
"So with everything else its confusing and you cant organize your thoughts." Regulus spoke as if he knew what was bothering her.
"Yes, it's like that a bit. I'm still trying to figure out who's Patronus keeps appearing in my dreams leading me along." She sighed again.
"What does this Patronus look like?" He asked curiously.
Dite casted her patronus, as her otter danced around the pool area, she explained that it was a lager otter then her own. But it kept leading her to the pool she sees in her dreams. She had explained that her dreams always ended at a pool. It was hard not to tell him when James and Sirius had asked her about her headaches a few times infront of him. She had to explain that she had dreams that where more like visions in a way but if she didn't get enough sleep or if it seemed that her mind didn't sleep she would end up with a massive headache. As she watched the otter, another joined her own, causing her eyes to grow wide.
"It must be mine that's leading you around." He chuckled.
Seeing Regulus's patronus dance or swim around with her own caused her to become speechless. She knew that there had to be a reason why she kept seeing it. The words of the goddess came back to her in that moment.
'Otter's are courius little creatures, but they show you to those you need little one. This one will lead you to your path of change. Changing what needs to be changed, creating new paths that are needed. You are the Fates destined one. True a chosen one will be born soon, but you where born of the sands of time. Linking the otter to you little one. '
"Well would you look at that, I caused the goddess Aphrodite to become speechless in aww over the site of seeing two patronus's dancing around." He teased her, the same glint of mirth in his eye that Sirius got when he planned a prank.
"It's paraxena when you act like Sirius." She raised an eye brow at him.
" I Do Not act like that dog." He glared at her.
"Sure keep telling your self that." She giggled as she let her charm dissipate.
The next day, they found themselves at the Platform, boarding the train for majority of the groups 7th year. They found a larger compartment as they where there a bit earlier then majority of the students. James helped Lily lift her trunk into the compartment and the others as well. Peter was even sitting with them and was eger to as well. She and he had a very long conversation about a possible future that she had seen where he betrayed his friends, who thought of him as a brother and friend. That caused the boy to break down in tears. She never expected that the knowledge she had and if she explained it as a dream would cause the boy to break down in tears. She wanted him to know why she was still holding her trust back. She didn't want to put her trust in the boy again if he was truly going to betray those that viewed him as a brother and friend. He made a vow to never betray them or her ever, if he did he would die. That vow was not something she expected to come from him, and it wasn't an unbreakable vow either. It was a vow on ones magic, those vows are more deadly then an unbreakable vow where you need the participation of two wizards or witches. A Vow on ones magic was where the emotions of the wizard or witch create the vow bonding its self, and the words spoken are the bonded words. The boy had changed due to the vow, it was like vow caused the change in the boy. Like it was what he needed to gain the confidence that the others had.
Once their things where settled, Remus, James, Lily and Dite left Sirius and Peter their with the familiars while they attended the Prefect meeting. As Dite sat next to Remus with the other Gryffindor prefects. She felt a fog drift over her mind, almost like the fog in her dreams. She could still hear what Lily and James where saying in the background, but at the same time she couldn't. She found herself at the pool with the sun up over the pool.
'You have changed the Black that was alone's path. Now you changed the path of the one who would have betrayed those he holds dear.'
"Why am I hear now?" Dite asked looking around.
'Your thoughts on why you're an oracle are true. Ones core changed when you where brought here to this time.'
"So I am a true Oracle?"
'Yes and No. You are an Oracle of time, as the fates decide.'
'The Fates decide?"
'With the change the Fates Decide when you where brought here. They decided to give you the ability and why you kept your memories.'
"So even if mana and I didn't come up with the idea, I would have been an Oracle?"
'Many things they have decided, like the otters that you share with the Black. They decided many things.'
Dite watched as the goddess stared up at the day sky, as if she enjoyed the day light more then the night and light of the moon. That's when she noticed that Lyos was sitting next to the goddess, or a grim that looked like her Lyos. The pool was much different from the other times. She turned her attention back to the goddess.
"Can I ask why I'm here while its day light?" Dite asked causiously
'With the growth of your gift, you'll visit more often then before.'
"So the gift I have is growing?"
'With the growth, one or more may seek you out to use you. You will need to be careful little one.'
As the goddess told her to be careful, Dite was shook back to reality of where she was. Remus was gently shacking her as if she was in a trance. She blinked at him, as if to rid herself of the fog that clouded her mind. She looked at Remus and saw that he was worried. She brought a hand up to her forehead as if she had a headache. Dite couldn't believe that she had visited the pool while being awake.
"Di, you alright?" Remus asked her.
"I think so." She said as if she was still feeling the effects of the fog in her mind.
"You completely spaced out there." James spoke from behind Remus.
"I don't know why, but I was in my dream." She looked up at them.
"Dite, are you sure your alright?" Lily asked worried.
"I'm not sure." Dite looked at her.
Dite really wasn't sure if she was alright. She didn't know if visiting the pool while awake would be a good thing. Especially if she was anywhere near Dumbledore. She wouldn't put it passed the old wizard to use that moment to jump into her mind to find her secrets. This caused a shiver to run up her spin. She knew that the Headmaster was still persistent about her being in a safe house. Dumbledore would use that information to keep things as they are and to seek the power that he has always seeked.
