Chapter 9 Bad Business

After the class is over, Yuzu gets permission to have a sleepover at Yuya's house. Katrina is the nervous one compared to others, as it is been a long time since she comes back to her house. But with others assuring them, Katrina feels a little calm as they head to the residence.

"Mom." Yuya calls out from the doorway while taking off their shoes, "We are home."

Yoko comes and greets them. "Welcome back, child-" But she stops as she looks at Katrina, as a mother, she couldn't have forgotten her daughter's face. Katrina notices her surprised expression, and she lowers her head and says, "Hi, Mom."

Yoko then hugs her with tears forming in her eyes. "Katrina, please tell me it is you."

Katrina smiles at her, "It is me, Mom. I'm back home..."

Yoko says with slight anger, "Seven years... you finally come back...don't you know how much we have missed you?"

Katrina frowns, "I know. I am sorry for leaving without your knowledge."

Yoko breaks the hug and says, "You are back, that is what matters."

Then she notices Yuzu. "Ah, Yuzu, you are here for a sleepover again?"

"Yes. Aunt Yoko. Sorry to disturb you time after time." Yuzu bows.

"No, it is fine. You're always welcome to stay at our house." Yoko says with a smile.

As they all head upstairs, Katrina returns to her room. Everything in her room seems nostalgic, and she can't believe that they have kept it for seven years without changing everything. Katrina says, "It has been a while since I slept here..."

"Yeah, we always clean it up so that you can have a comfortable room." Yuni says. "We also accumulate some Blood Bags in the closet, so if you're hungry, you could just have them."

"Thanks, I would need that." Katrina says while taking one to drink. "I really miss the taste."

Yuya says, "Now that it is done...I think we need to know about what actually happened when we got to that warehouse."

Jean asks, "Can we join the conversation? We're also curious about that as well."

Yuni says, "Well, why not?"

As they all head to Yuya's room. Yuya says, "So Yuzu, can you tell us about what happened back then?"

"The truth is, when we brought the ice cream, we accidentally heard Sawatari planning to take your cards again..." Yuzu says. "I thought that I couldn't always rely on you to stop them, so Vivian and I want to stop them on our own. But before we can do it...a masked figure comes into the warehouse and duels him instead."

"He uses the trick that is just like what I did yesterday, and we can also feel the coldness from Sawatari's monster even though we weren't in an Action Field." Vivian says.

Katrina, Ron, and Jean didn't know the whole thing, and they gulp as if they might have exposed themselves because of this truth.

"After that, he summons an Xyz Monster that is much like your dragon, Yuya." Yuzu says. "He uses it to defeat Sawatari, and after the duel is over, he took off his mask, and we saw your face."

"My face?" Yuya asks. "Had he said anything else?"

"Well, come to think of it, he asks Sawatari what is LDS' association of Academia." Vivian replies. "And he doesn't seem to know anything."

Yuni says, "Well, we can discuss it later, but if that guy looks like my brother and also hurts Sawatari, no doubt he would try to use it as a chance to ruin Brother's name with his father's authority. He might even use it as a chance to get your Pendulum Cards."

"If that is the case, we will have to discuss the whole event with LDS and solve the problem." Yuya says as he looks at the time. "I guess it is already late, how about we get some rest since today has been a long day?"

"I guess you're right." Ron says, "Let's get some rest, Jean."

Jean nods, but she feels like Yuya and the others are hiding something, but that is just her assumption. After they leave, Yuya and the others sigh as Yuya says, "Now they're left...I guess we can talk about important matters."

Katrina asks, "Important matters? What do you mean by that?"

Yuni says, "Katrina, we know everything about Academia. We know how the Xyz Dimension is destroyed and what they are doing to achieve this."

"Wait, you guys know this all along?" Katrina asks.

Yuzu sighs, "Sorry, Katrina. But the truth is, Vivian and I actually know that the one who saved us is not Yuya, but a person named Yuto. I have to guess he was the one who took care of you, right?"

Katrina slowly nods and she asks, "How did you know about this...I mean, Ron and Jean couldn't have told you, and I don't think Yuto would tell you as well..."

"Ruri and Rumi are the ones who told us." Yuni says, much to her surprise.

"Ruri and Rumi? Are you telling me that they are actually in the Standard Dimension? I thought Ruri was kidnapped by Academia, and Rumi was the one that volunteered to save her..."

"Yeah, but both of them have been unconscious until Reisho saved them. You remember him, right? The Professor's son who has been playing with us when we're little?" Yuya asks.

"Wait, he saved them and brought them here?" Katrina asks. "Where are they?"

Yuni sighs, "It is a long story..." Rumi also appears beside Yuni and says, "Maybe we should tell her the truth..."

"Rumi? Is that you? Since when have you become a ghost?" Katrina asks with surprise, and Yuya realizes that her sister Katrina can actually see the souls inside them.

"Wait, you can see her?" Vivian asks with confusion. "That makes me the only one that couldn't seem them in this room..."

"I guess being a half-vampire might be the reason." Yuya says, "Katrina, the truth is, Rumi and Ruri's bodies are heavily damaged, that's why by using the powers of Zarine and Ray, we have Yuzu and Yuni absorbed them to be a part of their beings.

Katrina is confused, and that's why Yuya has to tell her the story of Zarc all over again, and after listening to the whole story, she can only nod as she can't believe what she has heard. She actually has 2 more siblings that are actually inside Yuya and Yuni, and she also promises to keep the conversation today a secret.

Yuya turns to Yuzu, "By the way, Yuzu. Where is Yuto? I mean, how come when we got there, he just disappeared?"

Yuzu sighs, "Ray said something about the bracelet having some sort of teleportation abilities, and it would teleport a Zarc fragment away from the other one."

Zarc asks, "There is something like that in your bracelet? Does that mean if Yuya wanted to talk to him, we had to make sure that you're not having your bracelet by your side?"

"I guess so..." Yuzu sighs. After the conversation, all of them head back to their rooms as they are going to have some rest.

The next day, Yuya and Yuni arrive at the airport, and they meet the chairwoman of LDS, Himeka Akaba along with Nakajima.

"Chairwoman." Yuya and Yuni bow to her, Himeka smiles at them and says, "It is good to see you two again. Sakaki Yuya, Sakaki Yuni."

"The honor is ours." Yuni says, then they decide to talk after they get into the limo.

In the limo, Yuya says, "Congratulations on the successful negotiations, Chairwoman."

"Thank you, Yuya. Our plan has taken another step forward. Our plan is to spread LDS' names worldwide so that we can develop many highly skilled and strong duelists." Himeka says.

"The successful acquisition has greatly pleased the company president." Yuni says. "However, we didn't contact you because we didn't want to disturb your negotiations. There were several incidents that concerned us while you were away."

Himeka asks, "Incidents?"

Back in the LDS company, Reisho and Reiji are in the office room. "Welcome back, Mother." Reiji says.

"Reiji, Reisho, there's a new summoning method that's not Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Ritual?" Himeka asks.

"Yes. Mother." Reisho says. Reiji then shows her the duel clip of when Yuya duels Strong Ishijima.

After seeing how Yuya summoned the monster, Himeka asks, "Pendulum Summon?"

Yuya says, "Yes. By using two special Pendulum Cards, you can summon many high-Level monsters simultaneously without releasing them. This was never possible before."

Yuni says, "But in regards to Pendulum Summoning itself, we've gathered and analyzed the data, so we mostly have the full picture."

"Impressive as always, both of you." Himeka smiles.

"However, the complicated data in this summoning is undergoing some difficulties, the only thing that is finished is the new field pack." Reisho says. "The cards are still in the making, and not even our enemy has gathered any knowledge with this method."

"We also have another problem. A hooded figure has assaulted Mr. Sawatari's son last night. The culprit was a duelist who used Xyz Summon."

Yuya says, "According to Sawatari Shingo, he stated that the culprit has the same face as me. With the power he has in his family, he will be trying to get me arrested."

Yuni says, "And if Brother gets arrested, it would cause huge damage in LDS itself, since Brother has been working hard to become the head of the Card Department along with me, and he is also one of the authorities in LDS' Fusion and Synchro courses."

Himeka says, "Indeed...if that happened, then all of the negotiations that I did would be naught. We will need to solve this problem as soon as possible."

"It was Sakaki Yuya! I saw his face with my own eyes! There's no mistake!" Sawatari yells while using the wounded hand to slam on the bed. "He treated me like a fool!"

His friends and his father are looking at him, Kakimoto says, "Sawatari is hitting with his right arm."

"Don't say anything." Ootomo says.

"You saw him too, right?" Sawtari yells at them. "It was definitely Sakaki Yuya, right?"

"Of course, right!" "Well, it was a bit dark...But Hiiragi Yuzu said the same thing!" "Of course it was him. Sawatari wouldn't lie."

Just then, his father says, "Exactly! A noble city councilor's son would never lie!"

He then opens the window and holds a loudspeaker. "There's a chance that someone who doesn't want me to enter the mayoral race is the culprit! I will pursue this issue and demand that Sakaki Yuya show up as a witness!"

As Sawatari's friends are watching, Yamabe says, "Sawatari-san's injuries are fake, right?"

Kakimoto says, "Yeah, I can't believe he hasn't noticed yet."

Mr. Sawatari goes to Sawatari's bed and holds his arms. "Shingo, don't worry, papa will get your revenge!"

Just then, Himeka, Yuya, Yuni, and Reisho come in, "My, my. Don't get so worked up." Himeka says as she holds a bouquet of flowers.

"Chairwoman Akaba, when did you return?" Mr. Sawatari asks.

"I just returned, and I heard about what happened to Shingo." Himeka says.

"I see. Thank you." Sawatari's father says.

"Of course, Mr. Sawatari, you're the one who'll be carrying the burden of running Maiami City." Himeka says. "When we heard that a hooded figure assaulted your son, we couldn't stay silent."

Sawatari sees Yuya and he is surprised, he can't believe he is here, and he yells, "Sakaki Yuya! What are you doing here?"

Sawatari's father turns to Yuya and yells, "So you're the one who hurt my son!" Mr. Sawatari tries to grab his collar, only to be stopped by Reisho.

"Just wait for a second before you do anything rash." Reisho says.

"Why do you protect him? He attacked my son! Are you defying the future mayor of Maiami City?" Mr. Sawatari yells angrily.

Yuya says, "I didn't attack your son. Instead, your son is the one who attacked me because of our Pendulum Cards. He even went to the extent of injuring my friends for it."

"What do you mean by that?" Sawatari's father asks. "My son would never do such a thing!"

Yuni turns to Sawatari and says, "Besides, you were using the Central Duel Arena of LDS to battle, my brother, right? Surely you would have noticed that there are security cameras installed there, right?"

Sawatari and his friends pale with shock as they didn't even realize that. Yuya says, "Not only that, but we also set up some security cameras in the You Show Duel School as well, with the footage we have, we can also prove that I'm not the one who attacked you yesterday."

"Then how would you explain that culprit has the same face as you? Even Hiiragi Yuzu stated that!" Sawatari retorts back.

Reisho says, "We don't have the means to prove that currently. However, you can try to arrest Yuya. And you will never be able to get yourselves Pendulum Cards."

"Are you threatening my son?" Sawatari's father yells at Reisho, and he says, "I'm just telling the truth, after all. Yuya and Yuni are actually the Vice Presidents of Leo Company, and they are also the heads of Card Development in LDS. Sawatari and his friends flinch, Kakimoto says, "No way!" "They are the same age as us!" "How come they are at a higher level than us?"

Himeka says, "Yuya and Yuni are also the authority of the LDS' Extra Deck Circcurium, especially Yuya takes care of Fusion Summoning and Synchro Summoning. This confuses a lot of students, but they don't think much since Shuzo is about to teach the class.

"Today's lesson is about dueling's various summoning methods. The first is Normal Summon. This is the most basic summoning method where you take a monster from your hand and place it face up in ATK on the field. The next is Advance Summon. Tatsuya, can you explain it?"

"Yes. Advance Summon lets me summon from my hand, but if I'm summoning a Level 5 or 6 monster, I have to release one monster on my field. But if it's Level 7 or above, I must release 2 monsters." Tatsuya says.

"That's right. Good. You've been studying." Shuzo says, but then he realizes everyone is getting bored with this because they already knew all of this stuff.

"I Fusion Summon with vanilla ice cream and custard pudding!" Sora says as he takes a spoon on each dessert. "I will eat this sweet Vanilla Prince!"

"Hey, Sora. If you eat during class, Yuzu's fan is going to- " Yuya says as the others realize how distracted Yuzu is. Ron asks Katrina, "What's wrong with her?"

"I guess she is still thinking about Yuto. Since he and my brother looks the same, she is confused." Katrina whispers back.

Jean also joins in the conversation and says, "I guess I am sorry for her..."

Just then as Shuzo is about to finish the teaching, Yuzu says, "Dad, what about Xyz? We've never taught Xyz Summon here, right?"

This catches a lot of person's attention, and Sora is narrowing his eyes.

"Of course not. I can't teach what I've never done. Even LDS has only started teaching it recently. Why are you suddenly bringing up Xyz?" Shuzo asks.

"Well..." Yuzu looks at Yuya, who asks, "What's wrong?"

"No...it's just..." Yuzu mutters.

"An ambush? There is no way Yuya would do something so underhanded!"

As they hear the sound, Ryu says, "That sounds like Gongenzaka!"

Then all the people run outside, only to see him facing Kakimoto, Ootome, and Yamabe. Shuzo asks, "What's the commotion?"

"Principal! The man Gongenzaka was running to strengthen his legs when he noticed three suspicious men peeking into You Show Duel School. When I questioned them, they said Yuya attacked them yesterday." Gongenzaka says.

"Attacked them?" Shuzo asks, and Yuya keeps silent as he knows that it is actually part of Himeka's plan to end the conflict.

"That's right! Sakaki Yuya, don't say that you forget."

"We saw it with our own eyes!"

"There were four...actually, six witnesses!"

The three of them say smugly, Yuya acts, "Six?"

"Yeah, Sawatari-San, us, and these two!" Kakimoto points at Yuzu and Vivian. "Right, Hiiragi Yuzu chan? Sakaki Vivian chan?"

As the two girls flinch, Ryu says, "Is that true, Yuzu? Vivian? You saw it too?"

"Well...I..." Vivian says.

"Saw what?" Ron asks.

"The face of the culprit! The face of Sakaki Yuya attacking the next mayor's son, Sawatari Shingo!" Ootome says.

"Quit lying! There's no way Big Brother Yuya would do that!" Tatsuya says.

"Yeah, Sawatari was the one who tried to attack Big Brother Yuya! Big Sister Yuzu and Big Sister Vivian dueled him because they wanted to stop him!" Ayu says.

"Wait a second, Yuya didn't duel, but Yuzu and Vivian did?" Shuzo asks.

"That's right!" Ayu says.

"And their opponent was..."

"Sawatari!" Ayu says as she looks at the three.

"That means... Yuzu and Vivian were the ones who ambushed them?" Shuzo yells as he holds his head.

"Dad. Are you even listening?" Ryu hits his head with his fist.

"We already told you, it was Sakaki Yuya." Ootome says in a defeated manner.

"He's the one who assaulted Sawatari!" Yamabe says.

"Poor Sawatari, he was injured so severely that he's in the hospital!" Kakimoto says.

"Hospital?" Katrina narrows her eyes.

"There is a chance that he might not live." Yamabe adds. "If anything happens to him, how will you take responsibility?"

"Responsibility?" Yuya asks with surprise. "Say something, Yuzu! Vivian! You guys saw everything, right? Don't tell me you're accusing me, too!"

"Of course not!" Vivian says. "We won't do that!"

But Yuzu just stays quiet, and Kakimoto adds, "If anything happens to Sawatari, the police will definitely arrest you."

"Police?" Shuzo asks in shock and demands. "Start from the beginning and explain what happened!"

"Let me explain it for you." Himeka comes with a limo.

"You are LDS'..." Shuzo says.

"Yes. I am the Chairwoman. My name is Akaba Himeka." She says.

"Akaba..." Ron mutters to Jean.

"So she is his wife..." Jean says.

Ray is staring at the woman with surprise, so she is actually her new mother, for some reason, she doesn't think she is going to like her just like her true mother, but she decides to say nothing about it.

Back in school, Himeka explains everything to Shuzo.

"Everything they said was the truth. LDS student Sawatari Shingo was assaulted, and he testified that the culprit was You Show School's Sakaki Yuya."

Shuzo closes his eyes and says, "Well, Yuya. Did you really do that?"

"No, I didn't! There's no way I would do that!" Yuya says.

"The man Gongenzaka believes in his friend Yuya!" Gongenzaka turns to the kids, "Everyone also, right?"

"Of course!" Futoshi says.

"Even though I witness the scene, I don't think that guy is my brother." Vivian says.

Gongenzaka nods and turns to Yuzu, "Yuzu?"

Yuzu sighs as she asks, "Yuya, that really wasn't you?"

"I don't know what you saw, but I wouldn't assault Sawatari!" Yuya says.

"Okay. I also believe you, Yuya." Yuzu smiles.

Himeka says, "Oh my, such solidarity. This means it's unlikely that you'll hand Yuya over. But I can't back down either. LDS is the Number 1 school in the industry. If a rumor that one of my students lost a duel spreads, that would deal us a heavy blow." Himeka says sternly.

"As we said, it wasn't Yuya!" Shuzo says.

"That no longer matters!" Himeka says. "The problem is that you tarnished LDS' name! In order to erase this dishonor, my students must duel you and win!"

"Compete in a duel?" Katrina says in shock.

"If you win, we will overlook the Sawatari issue. But if you lose, LDS will take over You Show Duel School." Himeka says.

"What?" Vivian says.

"No way!" Ryu says.

"It's not enough to clear your name? You also want to take You Show Duel School?" Gongenzaka asks.

"Chairwoman Akaba, I heard that you had been acquiring a lot of duel schools around the world. You've now also targeted You Show Duel School?" Shuzo asks.

As Himeka smiles, Shuzo asks, "Maybe you planned the surprise attack?"

"Definitely not! But it's true that I'm using it as an opportunity. Along with Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz, it's LDS' chance to have Pendulum as its fourth pillar. Don't you think it's a waste for you to monopolize such a treasure, Principal Hiiragi?" Himeka asks. "LDS can use Leo Corporation's technological prowess to turn Pendulum Summon into a curriculum and teach it to many students. Because there are many duelists who adore Yuya and want to use Pendulum."

She turns to the kids and asks, "That's the same with you, right?"

Tatsuya says, "But you can't Pendulum Summon without Big Brother Yuya's Pendulum Cards."

"That can be solved with Leo Corporation's power. After all, we have the two best Vice Presidents working on them. That's why we have to become one." Himeka says, which causes Yuya and Yuni to flinch.

Sora asks, "Who are the Vice Presidents?"

Ryu says, "Well, we only know that they, along with the Presidents are secretive. They won't show themselves through the public."

Katrina asks, "But why not showing to the public?"

Yuya says, "Although dueling isn't a tool for fighting, my Dad built You Show Duel School to teach entertainment dueling. Money and power aren't used to take over a school that teaches how to entertain people, that is what I'm thinking. But right now in the current situation, it is the only way to do it."

"Yuya?" Gongenzaka asks.

"Indeed. Principal, we have to do this." Yuni turns to Himeka, "How about a four versus four duel sounds?"

"Of course." Himeka says as she goes outside to call the students.

Gongenzaka asks, "By the way, who are you guys?"

Katrina says, "Let me do the introduction, I am Sakaki Katrina, the one who was presumed to be missing 7 years ago."

"What? You are the lost sister that Yuya and Yuni are crying about? Yuya! Yuni, you finally found her. I am so grateful to you!" Gongenzaka cries affectionately.

"Yeah..." Yuni sweat drops at his reaction.

Ryu says, "By the way, Yuni, Yuya, why do you agree to do this?"

Yuya says, "We have our own reasons."

Yuni says, "Please excuse me that we are going outside for a second."

As the siblings leave, Ron asks, "Katrina, Vivian, do you know anything?"

Katrina says, "We know. But they request us to keep a secret."

Vivian says, "I am sorry, but family comes first."

(Flashback)

"What do you mean that I have to pretend that I thought the attacker is you?" Yuzu asks with surprise. "Didn't we establish that the attacker was Yuto?"

Yuni says, "I know, that's why we need to keep this a secret. The LDS and I have agreed that we'll be having a Four on Four Duel, and we have to let everyone know what is the cause."

Yuya says, "Even though the Chairman might say some harsh words, I want you guys to act along, or else our identity of being the Vice Presidents will be revealed to the whole You Show, and I don't think I want that."

Katrina says, "I will agree only if you let me battle one of your students."

Vivian says, "Same here."

Shuzo says, "To think you would think of a plan like this...I guess I have to play along for your sake as well.

Yuzu frowns a little, but she also nods as she agrees with the plan.

(Flashback Ends)

Yuya and Yuni head outside the school, Himeka and Reiji are outside waiting for the students to arrive.

"Chairwoman, thank you for acting with us." Yuni says.

"No problem, but are you sure you want to do this?" Himeka asks.

"Yes. We can also test the strength of You Show." Yuya says.

"So are you going to duel?" Reiji asks.

"We probably won't. Because you already knew our strengths." Yuya says.

"I see, so you want us to see if they have the conditions to fight the upcoming war..." Reiji says.

As the three LDS best students arrive, they bow to the four.

"I am glad that you are all here, but once we enter the school, don't mention that we were the ones who taught you the extra deck summonings." Yuya says.

"We won't. But I'm going to get my 41st win against You Show." Hokuto says.

"Ignore him. But you can count on us." Yaiba says.

Yuni and Yuya nod as they all head inside the You Show.

So the LDS' assault begins, for the next chapter, Yuya won't duel Hokuto. But the rest will remain the same with slight differences.
