Volume II: The Black Panther
Note: This will be the second chapter of Volume II as Spider-Man will cross paths with T'Challa, the Black Panther. T'Challa began his origins here while suffering the loss of his father and stepping up to become King of Wakanda. The two heroes will team up to stop Ulysses Klaue who will be the main villain of this chapter as Spider-Man learns about Wakanda including its knowledge and resources, at the same time Gwen Stacy will train under Madame Web as she learns to become a hero like Spider-Man. Everett Ross and Shuri will play as supporting characters for this chapter.
It's August 18, in a country of Wakanda, where to the outside world is very poor, a wakandan ship is flying over the small village outside the mountains as it's carrying a very important person, this man is T'Challa, the prince of Wakanda and son of T'Chaka. He's about 29 years old and stands at 6' 0" being African with a muscular look. He looks outside to see that his country still remains the same as he remembered. He's being escorted by the Dora Mijale, bodyguards consists of only bald headed women who are armed with spears and are highly trained lead by General Okoye.
"I see that nothing has changed here." T'Challa is looking out the window.
"To the rest of the world, we're poor. That's just how we want everyone to think. Our secrecy comes first, for good reason." Okoye says to T'Challa.
"After what happened a month ago, the world is about to get even more stranger than just Wakanda." T'Challa says to Okoye.
Meanwhile as the ship is flying so close to the mountain, unknown to the Prince, a group of outsiders armed with heavy weaponry are hiding nearby in the jungles as they see the Wakandan ship flying towards the mountain, they craft passed through unharmed like the mountain isn't even real.
"Perfect." Ulysses Klaue smiled as he looks through the binoculars.
This team of armed men are lead by Ulysses Klaue, a Belgian arms dealer who is very interested in the very particular mineral found only in Wakanda.
"I knew that if we waited for the prince to return home, he would lead us to the city, with any luck we be getting our hands of the precious metal that this country is rumored to have, vibranium. Alright men, time to go to work." Ulysses Klaue says to his team.

T'Challa look out the window to see the capital city of Wakanda, Brinin Zana, also known as the Golden City, its full of skyscrapers as well as a large river in the middle, its a technological marvel thanks to the vibranium.
"Just as I remember it." T'Challa smiled as he looked.
The ship heads towards the royal palace where King T'Chaka is waiting along with his eighteen year old daughter Shuri and his wife Ramonda, they see the ship coming in for a landing as they're happy to see T'Challa again who has been studying abroad learning about the outside world.
The ship touched down onto the pad as the ramp opens, everyone is happy to see Prince T'Challa has returned home.
"My son." T'Chaka smiled as he walks towards his son.
"Father, I missed you." T'Challa hugged his father.
T'Challa and his father stopped hugging as Ramonda walks up and hugged T'Challa too.
"I miss you, my son." Ramonda hugged T'Challa.
"I missed you too, mother." T'Challa hugged his mother and lets her go.
"How was America, brother?" Shuri smiled at her brother.
"It was fine, just like London was the last time you've asked." T'Challa says to Shuri.
"Are you still seeing that pretty singer? What was her name again?" Shuri is teasing.
"Don't do that?" T'Challa says to Shuri.
"Was it Monica?" Shuri kept teasing.
T'Chalka and Ramonda smiled and giggle as Shuri makes jokes.
"Don't do that, they'll believe anything you say." T'Challa says to Shuri.
"Come on brother, what woman can resist you being all tall, dark, and handsome?" Shuri smiled at T'Challa.
"It's good to see you again, Shuri. How is the life of a Wakandan Princess?" T'Challa hugged his sister and let's go.
"Still studying with the best education Wakanda has to offer, and creating new tech, basically I'm more smarter than you, brother." Shuri says to T'Challa.
"Still showing off, as always." T'Challa says to Shuri.
"Well, we'll have plenty of time to catch up. Come my son." T'Chaka says to T'Challa.
Everyone retreated back into the palace for the day as Prince T'Challa has returned home.
It's nighttime as armed men are sneaking past the barrier undetected, they all made it outside the city as they gazed upon the site of the golden city and all its technological advancements.
"El Dorado, at last." Ulysses Klaues smiled as he glazed at the sites.
Klaues pulls out his binoculars are he looks around the city to find the royal palace.
"There's the palace, but where is the mine?" Ulysses Klaue kept searching.
He looked away from the city and focused more on the mountains as he found what appears to be a mining facility.
"There it is, where all the gold is, figuratively speaking." Ulysses Klaue found what he's looking for.
The men that accompanied Klaue are preparing to steal from Wakanda and kill anyone standing in their way, their guns are equipped with suppressors as this is a stealth mission.
"You know the drill, prep the explosive at certain points in the city. Wait for my signal to detonate, let's get this done." Ulysses Klaues orders some of his men.
The demolition team are leaving to set up explosives in the city as Klaus is leading a team of men to sneak into the mines to steal their prize.

Sometime later, a couple of guards are patrol around the mine outside until they've stopped to see a guard down on the ground, already dead.
They started to get worried as someone is here, they're were about to alert everyone until they got silent shots to the head by Klaue's men, they look around to see the coast is clear, they signal the others to come out of hiding.
(City)
It's nighttime all around Wakanda as Klaue's men are wearing hood and cloaks that resembles Wakandan design, no one even seen their faces as they continue on with their lives.
The demolition team each found vulnerable points in the city as they plant the explosives around them and arming them awaiting to be detonated.
"Charges are all set."
"Perfect, pull back to the rendezvous point." Ulysses Klaue gave the orders.
The demolition team leaves the city quietly as their jobs are already done.
(Royal Palace)
T'Challa looks out the balcony to see the city he remembered, all beautiful and majestic than any city in the world.
"Miss the view?" T'Chaka says to T'Challa.
T'Challa turned around to see his father.
"No... it's just been awhile. Can I ask you a question?" T'Challa has a thought
"Anything, my son." T'Chaka permits his question.
"Why send me to study abroad? Wakanda has the finest educations available, even more so than the Ivy League schools I've went to. So why sent me to learn outside of Wakanda?" T'Challa is curious about his father's intentions.
"Well my son, it's because I believe that a change is coming to our nation. I believe that it's important that the future king of Wakanda learns about the outside world in hopes to bridge our country with the rest of the world." T'Chaka explained his plans for his son and his country.
"But aren't you worried about the world finding out about who we are and what we're capable of, worried about everyone learning the existence of our most prized mineral found only here in Wakanda, Vibranium?" T'Challa is concerned about his country's secrecy.
"I know the risk of everyone finding out about the vibranium, but we can't allow our secrecy to separate us from the rest of the world. Whether they be Wakandans or Westerners, we're all children of the same planet. After what happened last month in New York, the world will need the help of Wakanda and its king, the Black Panther." T'Chaka says to his son.
"I'm not sure that I'm ready to take such a responsibility, father. I'm still young and I have much to learn about leading a country and becoming the Black Panther." T'Challa says to his father.
"Do you have doubts, my son? You've been training to become a warrior ever since you can walk. Have I failed you as a father?" T'Chaka tells his son.
"No, of course not. I just want be a great king, just like you are now." T'Challa says to his father.
"You're going to struggle, so you'll need to surround yourself with people you trust. You're a good man with a good heart, and it's hard for a good man to be king." T'Chaka give his advice to his son.

A number of Wakandans were murdered in the mining facility as Klaue is walking deeper into the mines to see a huge cavern inside the mountain, he gazed upon all the vibranium in its unrefined from. He even found caches of vibranium being stored and awaiting to be transported.
Klaue whistled. "Wow! Looks like Christmas came early this year!"
A couple of Wakandan miners are coming up the lifts as they're surprised by outside trespassing into the vibranium mines, Klaues mens reacted by shooting one of them but the miner activated his mining tool which is a sonic disruptor, the miner shot a blast at a couple of mercs. Klaue got surprised by the weapon's destructive capabilities, he quickly drew out his pistol and killed the miner before he got the chance to shot again. Some of Klaue's men came as soon as they heard the gunshots.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah." Ulysses Klaues confirms with his men.
Klaue picked up the mining tool the miner used to kill a couple of his men, he's impressed by its capabilities to kill as well as destroy.
"Hm, I think I'll keep you." Klaue smiled as he holds the sonic disruptor.
More of Klaue's men came into the mines after they've dealt with anymore complications. Unknown to anyone, one of the miners that got shot is still alive but dying.
"The mine is secure, sir."
"Good, bring in the transport and have the vibranium deposits ready to be loaded." Ulysses Klaue orders his men.
The mercs began to take as much of the vibranium as possible before anyone knows that they're here, the dying miner on the ground has a kimoyo bead in his wrist as he activates it to alert the palace about the intruders, he died out from blood loss as he used up his life to alert all of Wakanda.
(Palace)
Back at the palace, King T'Chaka got an call on his kimoyo beads bracelet as General Okoye has shown up on hologram. T'Challa is with his father as they listen to what Okoye has to say.
"General, what is it?" T'Chaka says to Okoye.
"My king, outsiders has invaded the city and has seized the mines, they've got their hands on the vibranium." Okoye explained the situation.
"Assembled the Dora Mijale, General! We shall go to the mines and stops these intruders!"
"Yes, my king!" Okoye comply and signed off.
T'Chaka heads back inside the palace along with his son T'Challa.
"How is this possible that outsiders have found the city and seized the vibranium?" T'Challa is surprised by this turn of events.
"It does not matter how they found the city, the only thing that matters is that they do not escape with the vibranium." T'Chaka says to his son.
"So what do we do?" T'Challa says to his father.
"I need you to stay here at the palace and look after your mother and sister. I'll go and deal with these intruders." T'Chaka says to T'Challa.
"But I can help you! I'm a warrior too, just like you." T'Challa wants to help.
"I know, but son, it's my duty as king and Black Panther to protect my people, and it's is also my duty as a father to protect my family. Please son, take care of your mother and sister." T'Chaka says to his son.
T'Challa sighed. "I'll make sure they're safe."
"Thank you, my son." T'Chaka says to his son.
Later King T'Chaka made it to his private room where his prized armor is stored in, his Panther Habit made out of vibranium, the suit resembles that of a Panther.
King T'Chaka dressed up in his Panther Habit and puts on the helmet as he became the Black Panther, the Protector of Wakanda.
He walks out of the chamber to see General Okoye with the team of Dora Mijale all armed with spears.
"Time to face the enemy head on!" T'Chaka says to the Dora Mijale.
The Dora Mijale crossed their arms as they comply with their king's orders.
Meanwhile T'Challa is in the throne room watching the craft carrying his father and the Dora Mijale head into battle. He promised his father that he would look after his mother and sister while he heads into battle, but T'Challa is worried since his father is about 60 years old and hasn't fought much recently in years.
He decided to disobey his father's wishes and runs out of the palace as he got onto a hover bike and heads towards the mines to aid his father in battle.

Ulysses Klaue holding the sonic disruptor in his hand, is overseeing his men in the loading bay, they're loading up the vibranium deposits onto the back of the cargo truck.
"Hurry up! We need to get all this vibranium out of the country before the Wakandans find out! Move it!" Ulysses Klaue order his men to be quick.
Klaue and his men heard gunshots coming from the entrance of the mine, he's worried that his operation has been discovered. He see all the vibranium deposits he can take in the back of the truck.
"This will have to be enough! Drive!" Klaue orders the truck to leave.
The cargo truck drives away being escorted by a couple of humvees with mounted guns. Klaue watched as the truck is away with the prize, he stayed behind with his squad as more gunshots are getting closer in the tunnel, he and his men are wondering who is causing all this ruckus, they have their guns ready to shoot.
"Steady!" Klaue says to his men.
The gunshots stopped as they see someone coming out of the shadows, a man dressed in a black cat suit with claws. They're confused as to who this individual is.
"Who the hell are you?" Klaue is curious.
"The names Black Panther, and you have trespassed into our land!" T'Chaka says to the outsiders.
"I always thought that Wakanda was a poor third world country, but the rumors are true, isn't it? Your country is so much more than what it seems, your civilization is more advanced than any nation on the planet, all thanks to your prize possession, vibranium." Klaue says to T'Chaka.
T'Chaka looks at the storage depot where the vibranium was been stored has been stolen.
"What have you done?!" T'Chaka is not too happy.
"Oh, I forgot, I took the liberty of taking some of the vibranium from the mine. Hope you don't mind? Just a small amount than what you have, it's just chump change." Klaue says to T'Chaka.
"You thief! Do you have any idea what would happen if the wrong people get their hands on it?!" T'Chaka is disappointed.
"Yeah, I get paid big bucks for it. The strongest metal on Earth must be worth billions to the right buyers. I'm going to be very rich!" Klaue smiled with pride.
"You're not going to spend that money anytime soon! I'll stop you here and now!" T'Chaka pulled out his claws.
"Then come and get me!" Klaue dared T'Chaka.
The Black Panther rushes in for an attack until Klaue's men started shooting at him but their bullets are ineffective against him thanks to his suit made of vibranium. Klaue is surprised that the suit is vibranium too as he charges up it the sonic disruptor for an attack.
T'Chaka sliced off the rifles in half and attacks the mercenaries using his skills in martial arts. T'Chaka is still surprisingly strong and fast for his age thanks to the heart shaped herb that enhanced his physiology to its highest level.
(Outside the Mine)
T'Challa arrived at the entrance where the Dora Mijale have secured it.
"Where's my father?" T'Challa asking General Okoye.
"He's still inside fighting the intruders, he ordered us to guard the entrance but the loading bag wasn't secured in time. The thieves managed to get away with the vibranium." Okoye explained the situation.
"I must go help him!" T'Challa rushes into the mine.
"My prince, don't!" Okoye tried to stop T'Challa but he's already inside.
(Inside the mine)
T'Chaka took down an entire squad of mercenaries within minutes as Klaue is left standing alone holding the sonic disruptor.
"You've impressed me, Black Panther. You've took down my men within minutes." Klaue is impressed by T'Chaka's actions.
"Last chance, return all the vibranium you've stole or you shall suffer the consequences!" T'Chaka threatens Klaue.
"How about no! Do what you must!" Klaue dared T'Chaka to attack him.
T'Chaka charged in at Klaue with his claws ready to kill as Klaue smiled without fear, he raised the weapon up all charged and fired off a blast of sonic energy that hit T'Chaka and shattered parts of his suit, it even blasted the king back hard.
T'Chaka gets back up until he noticed that his suit is breaking apart, making parts of him vulnerable to anything.
"What the...?" T'Chaka is surprised.
"Courtesy of your own tech, shatters vibranium like glass. So much for the Black Panther!" Klaue smiled with pride.
"This won't stop me, you hear me!" T'Chaka is injured but still strong.
"Then allow me to fix that!" Klaue dropped the weapon.
T'Chaka sees that Klaue dropped the sonic disruptor to the ground as he make another attempt to strike back at Klaue. Unknown to anyone, T'Challa made it to the scene as he witnessed his father about to strike at Klaue. Klaue quickly pulled out his pistol as T'Chaka is getting closer, he aimed his gun at a vulnerable part of him and fires off some bullets, piercing T'Chaka in front of T'Challa's eyes.
"Nooo!!!!" T'Challa yelled out as his father falls down.
T'Chaka took some bullets into him, one grazed his heart, he's dying slowly. Klaue turns to see another Wakandan nearby.
"Father, no!!!" T'Challa yelled again.
"Father? So you must be his son. How nice, you can join your dad in dead!" Klaue is pointing his pistol at T'Challa.
Klaue is about to pull the trigger until T'Chaka used up all his remaining strength to strike back at Klaue by severing his right arm off and saving his son from being killed in the process.
"Ahhh!!!!" Klaue screamed out in pain.
T'Challa wanted to avenge his father by killing the man responsible but more of Klaue men came back into the mine and started shooting at T'Challa who quick took cover. Klaue's men came to see their boss has his right arm amputated and he's bleeding out, they've picked up their leader and took the sonic disruptor with them.
T'Challa sees them making a getaway but he's still pinned down by gunfire, unable to chased after them. They all made it to the humvee for extraction, T'Challa is running after them to try to stop them.
Inside the humvee, Klaue is getting treated for blood loss as his men tied up his arm to keep anymore blood from leaking out, they see the tunnel leading to the outside. Klaue is still conscious enough as he hold a detonator in his left hand, he pressed the button.
(City)
The explosives planted throughout the city have blown up within range of any civilians out in night.
Several sites have lit up as Ramonda and Shuri sees an attack happening within the city, they're still inside the palace as they're shocked to find out many lives have been killed.
"My god!" Ramonda is shocked.
"What about brother and father?!" Shuri is worried for them.
(Mine)
T'Challa was too late as he was unable to stop Klaue from escaping, but his biggest worry is his father who is seriously injured, he ran back to check up on him.
He sees the Dora Mijale with his father who is dying before his eyes.
"My prince, there were explosions in the city, many lives have been lost, some are still injured." Okoye explained what just happened in the city.
"Have the Border Tribe stop the outsiders from escaping and have everyone available to tend to the injured." T'Challa gives an order.
"Yes, my prince." Okoye comply with the orders.
T'Challa got down to check his father, he's barely clinging to life but still conscious enough to speak.
"My son, it's too late." T'Chaka is dying.
"No, we still have time, hang on!" T'Challa pleaded with his father to stay alive.
"Son... you must carry on my mission... you are king now... protect Wakanda... protect our family..." T'Chaka says to his son.
"Father..." T'Challa says to his father.
"Promise me..." T'Chaka says to his son.
"I promise, father." T'Challa promised his father.
"Death is not the end..." T'Chaka said his final words before he passed away.
T'Challa teared up as his father just passed away before his eyes. He crossed his father's arms in an 'X' and stands up with the Dora Mijale, they all crossed their arms in honor of their king who just died on this very night.
It's August 25, in Rockaway Beach, Peter is dressed in a swim trunks as he's with Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane Watson, both dressed in bikinis. They're all relaxing and enjoying the waves and warm weather before school starts soon in a week.
"Can't believe that summer vacation is almost over, school starts in a week." Mary Jane laying on a towel.
"Yeah, nothing lasts forever, MJ. All we can do is enjoy the time we've got left before our Junior year starts." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"By the way, where is your boyfriend?" Gwen asking Mary Jane.
"Harry is enjoying his vacation at his beach house in the Hamptons with the other spoiled rich kids." Mary Jane says to Gwen.
"What, is he too good for us middle class teens living in Queens?" Gwen says to Mary Jane.
"No, but unfortunately he was just born rich and had the luck of befriending us normal teens." Peter says to the girls.
"Yeah, but we all love Harry, he's such a nice guy." Mary Jane still laying on the towel.
"Agreed." Gwen says to Peter and Mary Jane.
"Amen. By the way Gwen, have you been working out lately?" Peter noticed Gwen's change.
Gwen is wearing a white bikini showing off her toned stomach as Peter couldn't help but noticed how attractive Gwen is in a swimsuit.
"So you've noticed." Gwen blushed a bit.
"Don't need to be embarrassed Gwen, it's nice to see you all pretty in a swimsuit." Peter liked Gwen's new look.
Gwen gave Peter the look as he gazed upon her.
"Oh, so you have been checking me out a lot!" Gwen flirts with Peter,
"Well... I... I hardly seen you in a bikini, not that it's a bad thing. I think that it's a great look on you, and I'm now mumbling." Peter blushed as he felt embarrassed.
Gwen smiled as Peter mumbled. "Thanks for the compliment, Peter. By the way, like how you look."
Gwen sees Peter all lean and muscular in person, she didn't get the chance to see his new looks like Mary Jane or Liz has from last year on this beach.
"Thanks, been working out a lot too. Guess we're quite the pair." Peter says to Gwen.
"Guess we are." Gwen says to Peter.
Gwen still hasn't told Peter how she ended up like this since that night she got bit by that super spider from the Expo, she has some fears that Peter will see her differently than before, the last thing she wants is to lose him. Peter is the love of her life and the best thing that ever happened to her.
"Hey you two!" Betty waved to Peter and Gwen.
Betty is here at the beach along with her best friend Glory Grant as they're dressed in bikini playing volleyball.
"Are you going to play with us?" Glory waved to them too.
"Shall we?" Gwen asking Peter.
"After you." Peter smiled at Gwen.
Peter and Gwen are joining up with Betty and Glory as they play volleyball, Mary Jane puts on her sunglasses and listens to music on the phone using her Bluetooth earbuds, she's already put sunblock on her skin to prevent sunburn and is under the cover of the umbrella.
She watched as Peter and Gwen team up against Betty and Glory as they play volleyball against one another.
At the 13th precinct, George is working on the computer in his office as the news is being played on the TV about the passing of King T'Chaka of Wakanda.
"Officials are here at the border of Wakanda along with other reporters as they've have confirmation of the passing of King T'Chaka of Wakanda, it is still unknown how the king dead, but succession of the throne is expected to fall to the oldest of the king's two children, Prince T'Challa. It is still unknown as to why the poorest country in the world is refusing international aid or trade as they remained reclusive from the rest of the world. Hopefully under T'Challa's rule who studied abroad in the finest schools will lead Wakanda into a new age."
The door is opening as Lieutenant Yuri Watanabe enters the office and George stop typing on the computer.
"Sorry to interrupt Captain Stacy." Yuri Watanabe says to George Stacy.
"Don't apologize. You got something?" George Stacy says to Yuri Watanabe.
"One of our CI's has informed us about a buy happening tonight in the Bronx, something concerning international arms dealers and meeting with representatives from terrorist organizations." Yuri Watanabe explained to George Stacy.
"Arms Dealers, what could they be selling that's got everyone's attention?" George Stacy is curious.
"Don't know, they say that it's a game changer, something very valuable that is worth billions. That's all I know." Yuri Watanabe explained all she can.
The landline on George's desk is ringing.
George picked up the phone. "Captain Stacy here."
"Sir, a man from the federal government wants to speak with you in person."
"Send him in." George Stacy hangs up the phone.
The door opens as a man in a suit enters to see George and Yuri in the same room.
"Forgive the interruption, Captain Stacy." Everett Ross says to George Stacy.
"It's fine, and you are?" George Stacy is curious about the identity of this man.
"Agent in charge Everett Ross of the C.I.A., it's a pleasure to meet the Captain responsible for the arrest of Wilson Fisk." Everett Ross shakes hand with George Stacy.
"I didn't do it alone, had help." George Stacy shakes back.
"So I've heard." Everett Ross stopped shaking.
"So what brings the C.I.A. to our doorsteps?" George Stacy is curious.
"It's about an operation we're conducting here, I'm part of a task force that has been tracking a weapons dealer who operations in Africa, selling arms responsible for a number of deaths around the world. We got information about a demonstration of a new weapon, a game changer as they call it." Everett Ross explained to George and Yuri.
"What do you think it is? Bombs? Biological weapons?" Yuri Watanabe is curious.
"We don't know yet, but we have an undercover posing as a buyer, he's going to attend the demonstration and find out what it is, with any luck we'll have a lead that'll lead us to the man in charge, Ulysses Klaue." Everett Ross says to George and Yuri.
"And what does any of this have to do with us?" George Stacy says to Everett Ross.
"We'd like for you to order the other officers to stay away from this operation." Everett Ross says to George Stacy.
"You're asking us to look the other way as a weapons deal is happening in this city?" Yuri Watanabe is uncomfortable with the C.I.A.'s request.
"We're trying to cut off the head of the snake, Klaue has been getting his hands on very dangerous weapons and placing them in the hands of very dangerous people, if we lose this lead, then many more lives will be at stake. This could be our only chance to get Klaue and shutting down his operation for good." Everett Ross explained what's at stake.
George Stacy sighed. "I understand, the NYPD will not intervene in this sting."
"Thank you, Captain. Hopefully nothing terrible will happen again in this city, excuse me." Everett Ross walks away from the office.
Everett Ross left the office as Yuri doesn't like the idea of something dangerous happening in the city as everyone in New York already got a taste of it last month.
"Can't believe that you'll comply with the C.I.A. and allow a illegal buy to happen?" Yuri Watanabe is still upset.
"I don't like this either, but this is a government agency we're talking about, it's above our pay grade." George Stacy says to Yuri Watanabe.
"So we do nothing and look the other way? That's what you're saying?" Yuri Watanabe says to George Stacy.
"Hmm? Maybe not. I need to get going." George Stacy gets up from his chair.
"Where are you going?" Yuri Watanabe is curious.
"To ask a friend for a favor." George Stacy left the office.
In Wakanda as the sun is setting in the golden city, a crowd is gathering as they witness the king's body being transported to the tombs as T'Challa is walking with his mother and sister, they're accompanied by the Dora Mijale and the shaman Zuri.
The whole city mourn their losses for those who died during the explosion and the passing of their beloved king.

The royal family has assembled along with prominent members of the council as they pay their respects to their late king as he about to be buried with his ancestors, the previous kings. Zuri steps up and speaks to the crowd.
"In our culture, death is not the end, it's more of a stepping off point, you reach out with both hands and Bast and Sekhmet, they'll lead you into a green veld... where you can run forever. We says our goodbyes to a great man who led our country so well and protected all of us as the Black Panther. King T'Chaka, Rest In Peace." Zuri finished his speech.
Everyone watched as T'Chaka joins his ancestors in the tombs as he gets buried, Ramonda and Shuri both teared up for the loss of T'Chaka. Zuri walks up to T'Challa who is still sadden by his father's death and wanted to avenge him.
"Now T'Challa, the fate of Wakanda rest in your hands, you are our King now and the next Black Panther." Zuri says it T'Challa.
"Take me to the garden. I have work to do." T'Challa ordered Zuri.
(Garden)
Zuri and T'Challa are in the garden where the heart shaped herbs are growing, a rare plant found only here in the private garden of Wakanda that possess properties that enhances one's physical traits such as strength, speed, and instincts.
Zuri took one of the heart shaped herbs and made it into a potion for the next king to ingest to become the Black Panther.
"Upon this herb, you shall have the strength of a king." Zuri hands the potion to T'Challa.
T'Challa took the potion in his hands as he drank it all into his body, he felt the effects of the herb changing him and giving him new strength beyond that of a normal human.
"It is done, you are now the Black Panther, the Protector of Wakanda." Zuri says to T'Challa.
T'Challa finally took his place as the Black Panther, he plans to find the man who murdered his father and bring him to justice.
(Throne Room)
T'Challa walked into the throne room to find General Okoye awaiting him.
"My King." Okoye crossed her arms.
"General, what do we got?" T'Challa is interested in the report.
"Our War Dogs have been informed about Klaue and his theft of the vibranium, one in New York has some news. He's informed us that one of Klaue's men will be making a demonstration of a game changer that will help shape the world." Okoye informs the king.
"I see that Klaue isn't wasting time selling the vibranium, his own hubris will cost him dearly. Assembled your finest warriors, we shall for New York immediately." T'Challa orders Okoye.
"Yes, my King." Okoye comply with the king's wishes.
Okoye leaves the throne room only to pass Shuri who is eager to see her brother taking his place as the new king.
"Brother." Shuri says to T'Challa.
"Don't talk me out of this, I have to do this, for my father, for my people." T'Challa isn't backing down.
"I know, I have something for you." Shuri says to T'Challa.
(Lab)
Shuri and T'Challa are inside her private lab where she creates new tech, she's a prodigy who is very capable of inventing something new and extraordinary.
"So what is this you have for me?" T'Challa is curious,
"This." Shuri shows him the new Panther Habit. "Your new suit."
"Like the one father wore." T'Challa is amazed by the new suit.
"Not exactly, this new suit came with some new features beside protection, it can collect the kinetic energy throw at you and ready to be distributed on any foe you chose." Shuri explained to T'Challa.
"Very nice, thank you." T'Challa smiled at Shuri.
"Just do me one thing." Shuri says to T'Challa.
"Which is?" T'Challa asking Shuri.
"Make that son of a bitch." T'Challa says to T'Challa.
T'Challa smiled as he understood her request.
(Landing Pad)
The Dora Mijale assembled at the landing pad as they see their new king walking towards them wearing his new Panther Habit, he is now the Black Panther.
"Nice outfit." Okoye smiled at T'Challa.
"Thank you, General. Let's get going, time to avenge my father. For T'Chaka!" Black Panther yelled out.
"FOR T'CHAKA!!!"
The Black Panther and the Dora Mijale boarded the craft as it lifts off the pad as Ramonda and Shuri watched them leave the city.
It's nighttime in Queen's, at a diner called Stan's, Peter is having a burger and milkshake as he's waiting for someone. He sees George Stacy entering the diner and is walking towards him, he sits down.
"Thank you for coming." George Stacy sits down.
"You said that you have something for me." Peter is eating some fries.
"This is why I called you here." George Stacy hands him a file.
Peter took a peek at a copy of the info on Ulysses Klaue.
"Who's he?" Peter is curious.
"Ulysses Klaue, a Belgian arms dealer operating out of Africa, he's sells dangerous weapons that are responsible for a huge number of deaths all around the world. Recently the C.I.A. is attending a weapons buy that is happening in the Bronx tonight hoping it get a lead on Klaue, they say that Klaue has his hand something very valuable that many are willing to get their hands on it." George Stacy explained to Peter.
"Did they say what it is?" Peter says to George Stacy.
"Unknown, even the C.I.A. don't know, whatever it is, must be something big enough for everyone wants to get it so badly. Officially, the NYPD cannot intervene in an C.I.A. op." George Stacy says to Peter.
"But not Spider-Man, that's why you called me." Peter figured it out.
George slips him the location on a paper. "Here is the location of where the buy is happening, if you hurry you might still make it in time."
"Thanks for the tip." Peter took a large sip of his chocolate milkshake.
Peter got up and walked to the register to pay for his meal as he rushes out.
Meanwhile at the same time in Queens in an abandoned warehouse, Julia is dressed in workout clothes as did Gwen who tied her hair into a ponytail.
"Come at me." Julia dared Gwen to attack.
Gwen charged in and throws a punch at Julia but her wrist got caught and she got tossed down hard onto the mat.
"Still sloppy, get up." Julia offer Gwen her hand.
Gwen took it and Julia pulled her up on her feet, the two are sparring to test Gwen's combat skills.
"You're still not ready, you need more training." Julia stated to Gwen.
"You've only trained me for a week since we've met, did you expect me to learn martial arts in a very little amount of time." Gwen says to Julia.
"Spider-Man did, who do you think trained him to fight to be the hero he is now." Julia says to Gwen.
"But I'm not Spider-Man, I'm just a high school girl who happened to be bitten by a spider by accident." Gwen has her doubts.
"What happened to you wasn't an accident, you were chosen. Your destiny is the same as Spider-Man's, you walk the same path as he does, you play an important role in his life." Julia explained Gwen's destiny.
"You still haven't told me who he is underneath the mask." Gwen says to Julia.
"You'll find out, in time. You and Spider-Man will cross paths one day, and when the time is right and you both have trust for one another, you'll share your identities with one another. But for now, let us train some more." Julia says to Gwen.
Julia began to teach Gwen some more techniques as Gwen still has a long way to become a hero like Spider-Man.
It's almost midnight in the Bronx as Spider-Man is hiding on top of building overlooking the buy. He noticed a van park nearby and well hidden.
Spider-Man sighed. "What is taking so long? I'm out here all alone watching from afar as a weapons buy is happening."
Spider-Man then sees a couple of cars coming towards the meeting as they look like criminals and terrorists wanting to get their hands on something very valuable.
"Guess the tip that Captain Stacy gave is valid. Now to just watch and see what's happening." Spider-Man is spying from afar.
A number of armed men escorted certain buyers as they meet up with a representative of Ulysses Klaue holding a case.
"Gentlemen, thank you for coming all the way to New York."
"Who are you?"
"Merely a representative of Klaue, what have here is something worth your time. Allow me to show you."
The man opens the case to pull out a container housing a piece of vibranium.
"That's it? This is the big surprise, a piece of rock?"
"Have any of you heard about Captain America?"
"Who hasn't? The First Avenger wielding an indestructible shield."
"Exactly, this right here is vibranium, the strongest metal on Earth, the very metal that made Captain America's shield. With it, you create advanced weaponry or the most indestructible armor, this can change everything for you all, if you're willing to buy it of course."
"Hm, that sounds interesting. Is there anymore than just what you have?"
"This is merely a sample of what we have, my boss has a huge amount waiting to be sold for billions."
"Billions, are you mad?!"
"This the rarest metal on Earth, my boss risked his life to obtain a large reserve of vibranium. If you want it, then you'll have to buy it if you can afford it."
"We'll have to inform our people if they want to buy it or not, then we can talk about making a deal."
"Never going to happen!" Black Panther says on top of a rooftop.
Everyone looked up to the rooftop to see a guy dressed like a black cat jumped down and attacks the crowd, he sliced off some guns and kicked some men. Spider-Man is shocked to find another vigilante in a costume.
"What the? Who is this?" Spider-Man is shocked.
The men at the meeting all drew their guns and started shooting at the Black Panther but his suit protects him from bullets or any kind of kinetic damage as his suit is taking in the kinetic energy.
"My suit is glowing, this must be the new features Shuri installed, now to test it out." Black Panther is crossing his arms.
Everyone stopped shooting as the Black Panther is glowing purple light on the suit, he then discharged the kinetic energy back at everyone, sending them to crash against anything nearby. Spider-Man is surprised by what just happened as he far away from the scene.
"Whoa! That's something new. Better check out who this guys is." Spider-Man jumped off and swings to the scene.
Everyone is unconscious from all the impact they took except for Klaue's man who is crawling away until the Black Panther stopped him and picked him up to be interrogated.
"Who are you?"
"I am the Black Panther, and you have something that doesn't belong to you!" Black Panther intimidates the man.
Black Panther took a piece of vibranium off the man's hand and holds it in his.
"Where is rest of it?!" Black Panther interrogates the man.
"It's with my boss, he has the rest of it!"
"Where is Klaue?!" Black Panther wants answers.
"I don't know what you're talking about?!"
Black Panther puts away the vibranium and draws out his claws to scare the man.
"I'll ask you one last time! Where is Klaue?!!" Black Panther threatens with his claws.
"I can't... he'll kill me!"
"What makes you think that I won't?!" Black Panther is threatening the man some more.
Spider-Man arrived at the scene to see the Black Panther threatening a guy with his claws.
"That's enough! I think you got your answers." Spider-Man placed a hand on Black Panther's shoulder.
Black Panther let's the man go, but he grabbed Spider-Man's wrist and tossed him hard at a car, hurting the web-slinger. Spider-Man is surprised by how strong this guy is as he's getting back up on his feet.
"Ow! That wasn't very nice." Spider-Man is hurt.
Klaue's man took the opportunity to escape during the distraction, Black Panther see the man escaping and is about to chase after him until he got drop kicked hard and crashed against the wall by Spider-Man.
"Who are you and why are you after that guy?!" Spider-Man demands answers.
"This doesn't concern you, Spider-Man. Stay out of my way!" Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"I won't let you kill someone in my town!" Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"That man is working for a criminal who committed terrible crimes in my country. I'll see to it that I find him and make him pay for what he's done, nothing will stand in my way, not even you!" Black Panther threatens Spider-Man.
"Are you threatening me?" Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"If you continue getting in my way, then so be it!" Black Panther won't back down.
"Then I'll stop you." Spider-Man is ready to fight.
Spider-Man fired off some webbing but Black Panther jumped over it and claw clings to a wall, he jumps off and does the drop kick on Spider-Man. Spidey does the back flip as Black Panther does a knee strike and hits Spider-Man. Spider-Man crashed against the wall and gets back up.
"Okay, you're really ticking me off!" Spider-Man felt angry.
Black Panther got closer to Spider-Man but the web-slinger counter with a Martelo de negativa kick and hits Black Panther back hard, the warrior underestimated the web-slinger. Spider-Man runs and jumps up, he does the hurricanrana and flips Black Panther down hard.
"I don't have time for this! I have a mission to do!" Black Panther is annoyed.
Black Panther strikes back with his claws as Spider-Man dodges and blocks each strike until he caught his wrists and flips him back hard, he gets back up on his feet and sees that his suit is taking in too much kinetic energy from all the fighting, he got an idea.
"Stay down! I don't wish to hurt you!" Spider-Man is walking closer.
"I was going say the same thing." Black Panther is on the ground.
Spider-Man got closer to the Black Panther until his spider sense tingles and Black Panther unleashed as burst of kinetic energy back hard that Spider-Man got caught in the blast. Spider-Man still laying on the ground tries to shoot web but Black Panther stepped on the webshooter.
"Last warning, stay away. There won't be a second warning." Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
Black Panther takes his foot of Spider-Man's webshooters as Spidey quickly slips a spider tracer on Black Panther's ankle without knowing it.
The Black Panther leaves the scene with the vibranium as Spider-Man was defeated, the C.I.A. agents arrived at the scene to see the op has failed. Spider-Man is shocked to see that he's still alive despite the fact that this guy had the advantage but chose to spare his life.
"Spider-Man, who the hell was that who interrupted our sting?" Everett Ross is curious.
"Don't know, didn't give a name, was too busy fighting him to ask. Sorry, I can't stick around, I got work to do, so ciao!" Spider-Man swings away from the scene.
Everett lost his chance to get to Klaue but his biggest worry is this unknown individual dressed in Black, whoever he is, he seem interested in Klaue as much as he is.
Later at the Wakandan Embassy in New York City, the Dora Mijale are awaiting the arrival of their king. They see King T'Challa removing the helmet and not looking too happy.
"How did it go?" Okoye is curious.
"Not so good, General. Klaue wasn't there, he sent his man as a proxy to show off the vibranium." Black Panther holds the vibranium.
He placed it onto the desk as he recovers from the fight he had against Spider-Man.
"Did Klaue's men do this to you?" Okoye is curious.
"No, I had one of his men and I was demanding answers until Spider-Man got in the way and we fought. Don't worry, I already took care of him and told him to stay away." Black Panther says to Okoye.
"So what do we do now?" Okoye asking the King.
"Now we return home to Wakanda and find another way of locating Klaue. Make preparations for our departure." Black Panther says to Okoye.
The spider tracer on Black Panther's ankle is sending a signal to the tracker.
(Outside)
Spider-Man tracked the spider tracer to the Wakandan Embassy as he looks from a distance as to not trespass on foreign soil.
"The Wakandan Embassy? What does this guy have to do with Wakanda?" Spider-Man looking at the embassy.
His phone rang as he answered it.
"Hey MJ!" Spider-Man says to Mary Jane.
"Tiger, it's midnight, are you still in the city?" Mary Jane says to Spider-Man.
"Yeah, had a little trouble in the Bronx, I was fighting off someone in a cat suit." Spider-Man says to Mary Jane.
"Black Cat?" Mary Jane says to Spider-Man.
"No, this was a guy, one very strong guy. I tracked him to an embassy in the city." Spider-Man says to Mary Jane.
Spider-Man looked at the rooftop of the embassy to see the man being escorted by bald women with spears as they're boarding a strange looking craft.
"I gotta go! Bye!" Spider-Man hangs up.
Spider-Man swings in closer to the embassy as he made it to the wall and starts climbing up. He made it to the rooftop to see everyone just boarded the craft as the ramp is closing.
Spider-Man got onto the rooftop to see the craft is lifting off the ground, Spider-Man quickly webs to the hull of the craft as he gets pulled up into the sky. Spider-Man is climbing to the craft as he clings onto the hull and hangs on tight, he looks down to see that he's up in the air and leaving Manhattan.
"Maybe I should've thought this thing through." Spider-Man hanging onto the craft.
The craft is moving fast as it's heading back to Wakanda, unknown to the occupants inside the craft, Spider-Man is on the hull.
Meanwhile, in the coast of Johannesburg, on a freighter, a lot of vibranium stolen from Wakanda is being stored and ready for sale. The man from New York returned as he looks around to see the operation is running smooth.
In the personal quarters of Ulysses Klaue, the arms dealer is having the sonic disruptor he took from Wakanda miniaturized and modified to his right side to replace the arm he lost in Wakanda.
The door opened as Klaue sees his man from New York has returned empty handed and looking too tried out.
"What happened to the vibranium you took with you?" Klaue is curious.
"The meeting went south, Spider-Man showed up, and another who calls himself the Black Panther."
Klaue is shocked to hear that name. "That's impossible, I'll killed him myself."
"I know what I saw, and he looked pissed. Kept asking about you and the vibranium. This is getting out of hand!"
"Relax, it's all under control." Klaue remained calm.
"Under control?! We just killed their king and murdered who lot of Wakandans, we stolen their vibranium, and now this Black Panther wants retribution for what we had done! This whole thing is getting out of hand, doing business in New York was a bad idea since Spider-Man protects it! We're in way over our heads! They're going to come for us!"
"Let them come, a couple of freaks in costumes doesn't scare me. I have a lot of vibranium in my possession, so therefore I have the power. Don't be so scared, I know what I'm doing." Klaue still remained calm.
"Know what you're doing? You know what, screw this, screw you Klaue! I'm out!!"
Klaue fired off his sonic disruptor and killed the man in front of his men as they looked terrified by what Klaue just done.
Klaue sighed. "Well if he's out, then he's out! Anyone else wants out?"
Klaue raised his cannon as they looked scared as they did nothing. They shake their head for saying no.
"So you want to stay? Good, then I guess that you all get his share of the profits. Now, let's get to work, we have a sale happening soon." Klaue orders his men.
It's morning time in Wakanda as the craft is entering its airspace, T'Challa is meditating while the Dora Mijale are piloting the craft.
"We're almost home, my king. Approaching the Barrier." Okoye informed T'Challa.
Meanwhile outside the craft, Spider-Man is still clinging to the hull as he's now in another country, he looks around to see Wakanda and all its landscapes.
"So this is Wakanda, I'm definitely far from home." Spider-Man says to himself.
Spider-Man sees the craft is flying closer towards the mountains.
"Oh boy, we're gonna crash." Spider-Man is getting worried.
The craft phased through the mountain as Spider-Man is surprised to see that the mountain was a hologram that hides a city within. He sees a city very advanced than any he's ever seen before in his life.
"Whoa! I did not expect this!" Spider-Man is still surprised.
Spider-Man kept looking around to see that a lot of Wakandan looked very modern but with technology way beyond any nation in the world.
The craft is coming in for a landing at the royal palace, Spider-Man remained hidden on top as the craft is touching down onto the pad.
The ramp opens as Spider-Man still hiding looks to see the Black Panther get off the craft along with his female bodyguards. Spider-Man got to see the face of the Black Panther.
"What the? That's Prince T'Challa, I've seen him on the news. He's the mysterious warrior I've faced off?" Spider-Man is confused.
The King and Dora Mijale are walking inside the palace as Spider-Man gets off undetected to find out more about T'Challa and this nation.
Spider-Man tracks the spider tracer on the Black Panther, it looks like he's going up in the palace. He jumps and clings onto the wall and starts climbing up.
Spider-Man arrive to take a peak from the balcony to find a lab of some sorts, he see T'Challa and the Dora Mijale with Princess Shuri who owns the lab.
"Brother, glad that you're home. Did you find Klaue?" Shuri says to T'Challa.
"There have been some setbacks, I need your help tracking a man that worked for Klaue, he was in New York, can you have our satellites track his movements?" T'Challa asking for Shuri's help.
"You're hoping that he'll lead you to Klaue. I'm on it." Shuri is beginning her search.
"Good, I'll go change out this suit. Excuse me." T'Challa is walking away.
Shuri looked at her brother wearing her tech until she spotted something stuck on his ankle.
"Brother, wait!" Shuri told T'Challa to stop.
"What is it?" T'Challa is confused.
"You have something stuck on your ankle." Shuri is pointing toward his right foot.
Shuri walked towards her brother and got behind to pick up the spider tracer that was attacked to his ankle.
"What is that?" T'Challa is curious.
Shuri hold the spider tracer and uses her kimoyo beads to scan it as it pick up a signal.
"It's a tracer of some sort, and it's still sending a signal nearby, and it's here!" Shuri explained to T'Challa.
"How close?" T'Challa is curious.
Shuri traced the signal back to its source as she look at the balcony to see someone in a red mask outside.
"That close!" Shuri points to Spider-Man outside.
T'Challa and the Dora Mijale sees Spider-Man here in Wakanda.
"Spider-Man?!" T'Challa puts the helmet back on.
"Oh!" Spider-Man was discovered.
Spider-Man had no choice but to climb onto the balcony and enters inside the lab and enter the lab as the Dora Mijale all pointed their spears at him.
"Ah? Hi?" Spider-Man is nervous.
"Get him!" Okoye order the Dora Mijale.
A couple of Dora Mijale teamed up as they thrusts and swings their spears at Spider-Man but he dodge the tips and kicked them off the ground and webs them down. Okoye joins the battle as she prepared to fight Spider-Man.
"Come on, can't we talk things out?!" Spider-Man tries to reason with them.
Okoye jumps and swings her spear down onto Spider-Man, but he quickly webbed a spear on the ground towards him and uses it to block the attack.
"I don't want to hurt you!" Spider-Man defends himself.
"You should never have come to Wakanda!" Okoye still wants to fight.
Okoye quickly uses her spear to disarm Spider-Man of his until he's unarmed, she thrust her spear but he ducks down and does a sweep kick and got her off her feet. Black Panther then joined the fight and is about face off against Spider-Man again.
"As I said, I don't want to fight any of you!" Spider-Man tries to reason with them again.
"Too late, you've trespassed into our country, you've seen too much! Now you must answer to me!" Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
Black Panther charged in for an attack but Spider-Man jumped over him and land behind him, he quickly webs up his legs and pulled him off his feet. Black Panther then quickly cuts off the webbing off his legs and gets back up on his feet.
"You think that a couple of webs is going to stop me?" Black Panther is standing.
"No, but thanks for letting me know." Spider-Man fires off a web grenade.
The web grenade exploded and cover Black Panther in a cocoon of webbing that he's having trouble moving around.
"Like it? It's a web grenade, but I would prefer impact webbing, that got a nice touch to it." Spider-Man says with humor.
Black Panther is still struggling to get freed from the cocoon but his claws are covered in webbing to be cut out.
"Oh, and don't even think about doing that explosive trick since the webbing doesn't produce kinetic energy." Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"How'd did you get here?" Black Panther is still trapped.
"I followed you to the embassy and hitched onto your ship. I'd never imagine that your home would be awesome." Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"Wonderful brother, not only did you fail to get Klaue, but you managed to bring a foreigner into our country without knowing it, nice work." Shuri says sarcastically.
"Now if you promise not to kill me, I'll free you from the webs." Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"How do you know that I won't break my promise once you freed me?" Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"I don't, but you could've killed me back in New York, but you didn't. That tells me that you must have some honor." Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
Black Panther sighed. "Very well, you have my word."
Spider-Man walked over to free Black Panther from the cocoon and he succeeded, he help him on his feet as more Dora Mijale came into the lab with spears, Okoye got back up and joined up with the Dora Mijale.
"Stand down!" Black Panther orders the Dora Mijale.
"My King, he's a trespasser into our soil, he has seen too much. He can't not be allow to leave here alive." Okoye says to Black Panther.
"That is for me to decide, stand down." Black Panther gave the order.
"Yes, my King." Okoye comply with the king's wishes.
The Dora Mijale all stand down and walked away from the lab, leaving Spider-Man and Black Panther.
"Now let's talk, I have a lot of questions." Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"Nothing seen or says here leaves this country, understand?" Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"Don't worry, I'm good at keep secrets. So, I understand." Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"Then we have much to talk about." Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
Meanwhile back in New York, Gwen is still training under Julia Carpenter as the two are sparring again to see if Gwen can hold her own against Julia to prove if she's ready for actual combat.
"Come at me!" Julia has her fists ready.
Gwen charges in and throws a punch but Julia blocked it and does the sweep kick, she got Gwen to fall down on the ground.
"You're telegraphing, don't let your opponents see your moves. You need to be unpredictable when fighting." Julia says to Gwen.
"Fine, let's try again." Gwen stands by up and has her fists ready.
"As you wish." Julia has her fists ready too.
Gwen throws in some roundhouse kicks as Julia dodges each of them, she pulls back as Gwen does the knee strike but she jumps and does the hurricanrana and flips Gwen down hard. Julia stands up victorious as Gwen is still on the ground.
"Ow! I give up! I give up!" Gwen doesn't want to fight some more.
"Guess what, Gwendolyne Stacy! There is no giving up when you're engaging an enemy! Once you're out there fighting in real life, they won't hesitate or back down just because you're a kid or a girl! They will kill you when they get that chance, don't give them that chance! You're only choices are to fight and survive, or to give up and die." Julia tells Gwen about real life combat.
"Then let's fight some more!" Gwen stands back up on her feet.
"Why are you pushing yourself too much? Are you sure that you still want to be a hero? Because once you go down this path, there is no going back to who you were, this will be your life, forever." Julia stated to Gwen.
Gwen sighed. "Last year, I was held hostage along with the other kids at school, and I nearly lost my life that day, then months ago I was kidnapped by a mobster along with my best friend, I was helpless both those time, I was a victim, and I swore that I never will be anyone's victim ever again. I can't go back to being the same helpless girl I was, I need to be something more, someone who can make a big difference just like he did."
"Then you've made you choice. I hope that you know what you're getting into. The life you've chose isn't very easy." Julia says to Gwen.
"Nothing has been easy lately, this world is full of dangers and it need more heroes willing to do what right to protect the innocent. I want to be one of those heroes. I want you to teach me to become one." Gwen isn't backing down.
Julia smiled. "You really remind me of him too much. You have so much in common with him than you realize."
"Then let's continue sparring, I'm not backing down." Gwen has her fists ready.
Julia has her fists ready too as they spar some more as Gwen has the spirit to keep going through tough times, she wants to make a big difference just like Spider-Man did for everyone.
Back in Wakanda, Spider-Man is following the Black Panther around the palace as he arrive at the private garden underneath it, Spider-Man sees strange looking plants that are unknown to him.
"What are those?" Spider-Man is curious about the plants.
"The heart shaped herbs, they grow only here in Wakanda. In its liquid form, in can be ingested that gives one heighten abilities beyond that of a normal human. These plants help create the Black Panther I am now and those who came before me." Black Panther explained about the herbs.
"When I first face you in combat, your strength and speed felt familiar, like from another combatant I've encountered in the past." Spider-Man remembers such strength.
"Kraven the Hunter." Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"You've heard of him?" Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"One of our priestesses, a former protégé of Zuri stole one of the herbs and gave it to her lover. It was unfortunate we couldn't prevent that secret from leaving this country." Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"But why all this secrecy? You let the entire world think that you're a third world country when you have all this technology beyond imagining?" Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"Because Wakanda is the source of a very rare mineral that can only be found here. I'm sure you don't what it is" Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"Vibranium, the strongest metal on Earth." Spider-Man figured it out.
"Oh, so you do know what is." Black Panther is surprised Spider-Man knows.
"Cap once told me that his shield is made of vibranium and that it could only found in Wakanda." Spider-Man remembers Captain America telling him about vibranium.
"And he is correct, inside the mountain close to the city is a meteor that crashed into our lands, that meteor was made entirely out of vibranium, a mountain's worth. For thousands of years, we have mined it and created many things, buildings, clothes, and weapons. We've developed technology more advanced than any other nation and used it to improve our lives and provide better health care." Black Panther explained about Wakanda's history.
"But if you have the technology that can help save many lives, why keep it to yourselves?" Spider-Man is curious.
"As you've already know, vibranium is the rarest metal on Earth, in our hands we can improve and help many lives, but in the wrong hands, it can be used to destroy lives rather than save it. That is why the Black Panther exists, he would lead Wakanda and protect it and the vibranium, at least until last week." Black Panther looked troubled.
"What happened last week?" Spider-Man is curious.
"Klaue happened, he invaded our land and stole huge amounts of vibranium mined from the mountain. But that wasn't the worst things he's done, he killed some of our people on our own soil, he murdered my father right in front of my eyes. It still haunts me." Black Panther explained about Klaue and his father's death.
"I'm sorry." Spider-Man is sympathetic.
"Now do you understand why I must find Klaue?" Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"This mission of yours, it's about revenge." Spider-Man figured it out.
"It's about justice, Klaue has done terrible things to my country, to my people, to my family. When I find him, I'll kill him myself." Black Panther desires revenge.
"I get you, believe me. I know that you think that killing Klaue will ease the pain you're carrying, but trust me, it won't." Spider-Man speaks from experience.
"What makes you such an expert?" Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"Because I lost someone too." Spider-Man remembers his loss.
(Flashback)
A year ago, Peter came back to find police cars outside his house after returning from a wrestling match that he had won. He rushed inside to see Aunt May and someone under the covers.
He found Ben underneath the cover, he was murdered and Peter became shocked that he cried in tears over his uncle's death.
Later he tracked the man to a abandoned building and he finally confronted him and pulled his mask off to see that it's the same man from the arena, the one he could've stopped but chose not to.
Peter was about to take revenge until the thought of his uncle stopped from taking a person's life in anger because his uncle wouldn't want to be remembered like that. He chose to spare his life and let him live with what he had done.
(Present)
"Someone who was like a father to me was murdered, I was angry that I wanted to avenge him by taking his life, but I couldn't." Spider-Man told his story.
"You wanted revenge but you chose not to take his life, why?" Black Panther is curious.
"Because that's not how he would want to be remembered, I realized that killing him won't change anything, because the person I loved is still dead and that pain is still there in my heart." Spider-Man explained about revenge and loss.
"But you're an Avenger, isn't that supposed to mean something?" Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"Avenge your father the right way, bring his killer to justice and let him live with the knowledge of what he had done. Don't let yourself be consumed by vengeance, be better." Spider-Man gave advice to Black Panther.
Black Panther is still driven by the loss of his father that he wants to avenge him by taking the life of his father's killer but he has lingering doubts if he should still go through his revenge, he thinks about his father, how he's a good and honorable man.
Black Panther's kimoyo beads beeps as Shuri showed up on the hologram.
"Brother, I have a lead on Klaue." Shuri informed her brother.
(Lab)
Spider-Man and Black Panther are inside Shuri's lab as they watched the hologram of the globe.
"Satellites have tracked the man you've encountered in New York to this location." Shuri explained to them.
The globe pinpoints to Johannesburg, South Africa, to the coast to be precise.
"It's a cargo freighter in the coast outside of Johannesburg, our spies in the city has informed us that the Ten Rings and HYDRA are attending for the sale that Klaue just arraigned." Shuri explained to them.
"He's probably attempting to sell off the vibranium for money." Spider-Man says to them.
"He can try but he won't succeed, it's time that Klaue finally face justice." Black Panther says to them.
"Then I'm coming with you." Spider-Man volunteers for this mission.
"With all due respect, this is a Wakandan matter." Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"I'm not a Wakandan, but I am a hero and an Avenger, my job is to keep the world safe. If what you've told about the vibranium is true, then I can't allow it to fall into the wrong hands. So like it or not, I'm coming with you." Spider-Man won't back down.
Black Panther looked as his sister as she nodded with approval.
"Alright, but this is my mission and I call the shots, understand?" Black Panther stated to Spider-Man.
"Understood." Spider-Man understands.
"Very well, let's get going." Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
Back in New York, Julia continues to train Gwen in martial arts to improve her fighting style, she's teaching her Wing Chun as Gwen is practicing on the dummy how block and counterattack simultaneously.
"You're improving, keep it up." Julia is impressed by Gwen's progress.
(Later)
Julia is holding the punching bag as Gwen is punching and kicking to sharpen her striking technique.
"Use your hips, that's where all the power comes from." Julia instructs Gwen.
Gwen took Julia's advice as plants her feet and straighten her fist, she uses her hip to deliver a powerful punch, Julia smiled as Gwen is almost getting the hang of this.
(Later)
Gwen is finished with practicing as she ready to test out her combat skills as she and Julia are about to spar again to see how much Gwen has improved.
"You know the drill, come at me!" Julia dared Gwen.
Gwen came in a little closer and throws in some punches as Julia can predict where and when each punch is taking place, Julia blocked each of them until Gwen does the sweep kick and got Julia off her feet and she fell on her back, Gwen quickly grappling onto her and traps her down as she about to strike so close to her face and stopped at the last second.
"Not bad, you have the fire inside you after all." Julia smiled as she's impressed by Gwen's progress.
Gwen got off of Julia and offered her a hand, Julia took it and Gwen pulled her up on her feet.
"Shall we go again?" Gwen wants to spar some more.
Meanwhile in the coast of South Africa, members of the Ten Rings and HYDRA all attended the sale on the freighter as Klaue has some vibranium ready to be sold to the highest bidder.
Spider-Man and Black Panther are far away watching from a distance as they see a lot of goons from the Ten Rings and HYDRA entering the freighter.
"Ten Rings and HYDRA, never thought I'd see those guys again." Spider-Man looking through the binoculars.
"Everyone wants to get their hands on the vibranium and Klaue is very eager to sell them off for money. Except that's never going to happen because we're going to stop him." Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"Okay, but please don't do something that you can never return from." Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"Can't promise that, if I find Klaue then I'll do what I must." Black Panther still wants revenge.
Black Panther and Spider-Man then sneaks into the freighter to stop the sale from happening.
(Inside)
Inside the heart of the freighter, a lot of buyers from Ten Rings and HYDRA are awaiting to their hands on vibranium, they see the man himself, Ulysses Klaue, he's got a sonic disruptor attached to his right limb.
"Gentlemen, welcome to my ship, I'm sure you all know who I am." Ulysses Klaue smiled as he welcomes his guests.
Meanwhile one of the guards on lookout got webbed and pulled up as Black Panther and Spider-Man managed to sneak inside undetected, they stay hidden as they see the sale happening and Ulysses Klaue is here in person.
"Found you, you murderer." Black Panther is mad at the sight of Klaue.
"Easy Top Cat, we still need confirmation that he really has the vibranium, once we got sight on it, then we can make our move. Until then, patience." Spider-Man whispered to Black Panther.
Black Panther still remained patient as he's still eager to get to Klaue, they still watch the sell happening as Klaue speaks to the buyers. Klaue's men showed off a huge deposit of vibranium waiting to be sold.
"I'm sure that you all have the briefings on vibranium, with the rarest substance in your possession, you can change everything for your cause. Shall we start the bidding at 500 million dollars?" Klaue is auctioning the vibranium.
The representative for the Ten Rings raised their hands.
"Anyone else wants to outbid the gentleman?" Klaue still auctioning.
"700 million!"
"800 million!
"Any one want to make it 900 million?" Klaue smiled at the buyers.
"How about zero?!" Black Panther yelled out.
Everyone looked up to see Spider-Man and Black Panther jumping off and landing down to show themselves to them. Klaue is surprised to see another guy in a black suit like before.
"I thought I'd killed you?" Klaue is surprised and confused.
"You gonna wish you had once I'm done with you, murderer!" Black Panther is angry with rage.
"Love to catch up but my friends here don't appreciate you crashing their party." Ulysses Klaue referring to everyone.
Spider-Man and Black Panther looks around to see that they're surrounded by Klaue's men as well as the Ten Rings and HYDRA. Klaue is making his retreat as he left the two heroes with his clients to be dealt with.
"He's getting away!" Black Panther says to Spider-Man.
"I know, but we got bigger problems!" Spider-Man reminded Black Panther of their current situation.
The Ten Rings all have razor sharp weapons as HYDRA and Klaue's men have guns pointed at them.
"We need to work together as a team to survive." Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"Agreed, which guys do you want to fight?" Black Panther asking Spider-Man.
"I'll take the ones with knives and swords, you take the ones with guns." Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"Fine, let's fight!" Black Panther pulled out his claws.
Black Panther and Spider-Man team up to fight off the villains, the Black Panther moves faster as bullets are hitting him but his suit protects him from almost anything. He slices off the guns and kicks the shooters back hard with a volley of kicks.
The Ten Rings all tossed their knives at Spider-Man but he quickly webs each of them off their trajectories, the ones with swords came at him and started swinging as he does some backflips and dodging each swing. He stopped flipping and webs the swords and yanked them off their hands, disarming them.
A couple of Klaue's came joining the fight with assault rifle equipped with grenade launchers, they shot a couple of grenades at the Black Panther, blasting him back hard. Spider-Man quickly does the scissors kick and took out a couple of the Ten Rings.
Klaue's men reload the grenades into the launchers as Black Panther is still stunned by the explosions, they prepared to shoot again until Spider-Man is swinging and he webs them and pulls it off their hands, Black Panther recovered as he strikes with a spinning back kick on one and Spider-Man does the hurricanrana on the other, they both took out their targets. They look around to see that everyone is defeated.
"Thanks for your help." Black Panther gives his gratitude.
"Sure thing, but save the thanks once we get Klaue." Spider-Man reminded him about Klaue escaping.
"Right, let's get going." Black Panther runs after Klaue.
Spider-Man runs along with Black Panther to get to Klaue before he escapes.
(Outside)
Klaue is on the deck as he's reaching the helipad where the helicopter is parked, Black Panther and Spider-Man reached the deck and see Klaue making a run for it.
"Klaue!!!" Black Panther yelled out.
Klaue stopped as he see the heroes made out in one piece, the buyers and his men have failed leaving him all alone.
"You and I have some unfinished business!" Black Panther isn't too happy.
"You two really are relentless, I'll give you that. I guess I'll have do everything myself." Klaue activates his sonic cannon.
Klaue fired from a distance as Spider-Man and Black Panther both dodged the sonic blast and surprised how powerful it is. They both took cover to see that Klaue is very far on top and he's got the advantage.
"Where did he get that thing?" Spider-Man is shocked.
"Stolen from Wakanda, it was a mining tool used to mine vibranium, apparently he made modifications to it. One direct shot from his weapon will shatter my suit like glass. I can't get close enough to strike." Black Panther explained about the weapon's capabilities.
"We can't stay down here, he'll make his escape if we do nothing. If we can neutralize that thing somehow, he'll be vulnerable." Spider-Man says to Black Panther.
"But how?" Black Panther is thinking of a plan.
He continues to think of something they can do to take out Klaue's sonic cannon, he thought of something.
"Do you still have a web grenade?" Black Panther asking Spider-Man.
"One one left, why?" Spider-Man is curious.
"I'll draw his fire, you get ready to take out that sonic cannon. We only got one shot, make it count." Black Panther explained his plan.
Black Panther sees Klaue still here aiming his sonic cannon, he rushes out of hiding as Klaue sees the Black Panther coming towards him.
"Got you!" Klaue aimed at Black Panther.
"Now!" Black Panther tells Spider-Man.
Spider-Man came out of hiding and shot is web grenade at Klaue, the villain sees something heading towards him in the air, Klaue tries to stop it with his sonic cannon but the web grenade hit its target and clogged the cannon's muzzle with webbing. Klaue already fired it but the sonic blast cannot get out due to the webbing jamming it, the cannon starts to overload itself.
"Oh crap!" Klaue is in trouble.
The sonic cannon blew itself up and blasted Klaue back hard. Black Panther made it to the top to see that their plan worked, Klaue's weapon destroyed itself.
"Ahh!!!" Klaue screamed in pain.
Black Panther finally has his father's murderer right in front of him, he took of his helmet and showed his face to the man who committed terrible crimes in Wakanda. Klaue is surprised to see that the Black Panther is none other than the son of the late King T'Chaka.
Klaue smiled and laughed. "Like father like son!"
"You stole from us, murdered a whole lot of Wakandans, you've murdered my father. Now I finally have you, Klaue." Black Panther has his claws out.
"I know, I was being a bad boy, I deserved to be punished... What are you waiting for, boy? Kill me! I know you want to! You have to, for your father. Kill me! Do it!" Klaue dared Black Panther to take his life.
Spider-Man arrived at the top to see that Black Panther has his father's killer in front of him and he's got his claws out. Black Panther wants to take Klaue's life for all the terrible things he had done and for all the pain he had caused. But he thought about his father and what he would do, he even though about the words Spider-Man said to him about revenge. Black Panther remained calm as he retracted his claws and decided not to take Klaue's life.
"No... you get to live. You shall face trial for your crimes and you will spend the rest of your days in a cage. You will face justice, the right way." Black Panther says to Ulysses Klaue.
Spider-Man is surprised that Black Panther decided not to kill Klaue, he's proud of how the Black Panther rose up above his desire for revenge and decided to serve justice for his father.
Later as the craft and its escorts is heading back to Wakanda, in the city at the royal palace, Ramonda and Shuri awaits at the pad to see that they have returned.
The craft landed down onto the pad and the ramp opens to see Spider-Man and Black Panther with Klaue in custody, they got to see the man who was responsible for the death of their loved one still alive.
Okoye and the Dora Mijale came up to the king and Spider-Man to see that they've captured Klaue.
"Take him to the prison and lock him up for live." Black Panther says to the Dora Mijale.
The Dora Mijale comply with the king's orders as they take Klaue to the prison where he'll be locked up for life for all his crimes against Wakanda.
Ramonda and Shuri watched the man being escorted to prison for life, they then turn to see that T'Challa avenge his father's death and finally serve justice in his honor, they happy for him.
"Brother, you did it." Shuri smiled at T'Challa.
"No, we did it. I couldn't done it without him." T'Challa looking at Spider-Man.
Ramonda and Shuri are happy that Spider-Man was able to help T'Challa seek justice for the late king.
(Later)
There is a gathering around the palace as the people of Wakanda heard the news about Klaue finally captured and facing justice. They see their king along with Spider-Man and the royal family.
"A week ago, our country face a dark moment when a group of invaders came into our land and stolen the lifeblood of Wakanda, their leader was responsible for the death of many innocent lives, including our beloved king T'Chaka. But thanks to the efforts of the Black Panther and with help from a hero, Klaue is finally in prison and the vibranium has returned to the people of Wakanda!" T'Challa speaks to his country.
The crowd clapped their hands for their king and Spider-Man. T'Challa turns his attention towards Spider-Man.
"Step up and join me." T'Challa says to Spider-Man.
Spider-Man walked up and joined beside King T'Challa as all of Wakanda are grateful to Spider-Man for aiding the Black Panther in seeking justice for them.
"Spider-Man, on behalf my family and the people of Wakanda, I want to personally thank you for everything you've done in helping us seek justice for our late king." T'Challa gives his thanks to Spider-Man.
"Thank you, King T'Challa. It's been a honor." Spider-Man says to T'Challa.
The king personally gave Spider-Man a medal of Wakanda's highest honor.
"I bestow upon you the Cross of Bast, the highest honor Wakanda has even given. From this day on, you shall be recognized as a true friend of Wakanda." T'Challa says to Spider-Man.
Spider-Man turned to see the whole crowd clapping their hands for him, including the king himself.
(Later)
At the landing pad, Spider-Man is walking alongside the king as the craft is prepped and ready to take him home to New York.
"Are you sure you don't want to stick around?" T'Challa asking Spider-Man.
"I'd love to, but I've far from home for too long, someone needs to watch the neighborhood." Spider-Man explained his reasons to return home.
"I understand." T'Challa can relate to his responsibilities.
"You definitely have the makings of a hero, if you want I can recommend you a place on the Avengers, you make a great addition to the team." Spider-Man offered him a place on the Avengers.
"I wish I could, but my responsibilities are to Wakanda and it's people, they always need the Black Panther." T'Challa still remains dedicated to Wakanda.
"I understand, so what's next for the new king?" Spider-Man says to T'Challa.
"The world has changed since last months, I think its time for Wakanda to change with it. We cannot stay hidden from the world anymore, we need to join it and share our knowledge with the rest of the world, just like my father would've wanted." T'Challa explained his vision for Wakanda.
"Sounds like a plan. Can I ask you something?" Spider-Man is curious about something.
"Anything?" T'Challa permits the question.
"Why did you spare Klaue? I know that you wanted revenge for what he did to your father, why spare his life?" Spider-Man is curious.
"I won't lie, I wanted to, I was going to, but I realized that killing Klaue won't change anything, I've decided to honor my father the right way by serving justice. Something you've taught me." T'Challa explained to Spider-Man.
"I'm sure that your father would be very proud of you, T'Challa." Spider-Man says to T'Challa.
"And I'm sure that your uncle is proud of you... Peter Parker." T'Challa smiled as he knows.
Spider-Man is surprised. "You've known?"
"Yes... I've known. The world is lucky to have a hero like you in it. Thank you, for everything." T'Challa says to Spider-Man.
"Hope that our paths cross again someday." Spider-Man says to T'Challa.
"As do I. May Bast be with you." T'Challa says to Spider-Man.
"Is that the Wakandan term for 'May the force be with you?'" Spider-Man says to T'Challa.
"Something like that. Farewell Spider-Man." T'Challa crossed his arms.
"Farewell." Spider-Man crossed his arms too.
They got to say their goodbyes as Spider-Man is walking into the craft and he looked back at T'Challa as the ramp is closing.
The craft lifts off the pad and T'Challa looks to see that it's carrying Spider-Man back to his home.
"Black Panther, the hero, I like the sound of that." T'Challa like the idea of being a hero.
Meanwhile in the skies, Spider-Man looked out the window at the city as he's leaving it.
"Can't believe that I've met another hero like myself. If there is a new hero, there could be more coming in the future. Now all I have to do is find them." Spider-Man says in his thoughts.
The craft is flying away in the skies of Wakanda with Spider-Man heading back home to New York.
Back in New York, Gwen is still sparring with Julia as she jumped up and wrapped her legs around Julia's neck for a hurricanrana technique, she tossed her down onto the mat.
"Not bad, I knew that you had in you!" Julia is impressed with Gwen's progress.
Gwen offered her hand to Julia and she took it, she pulled Julia up onto her feet.
"You've certainly changed a lot since I've met you." Julia says to Gwen.
"Everything changed when that spider bit me, I'd never imagined that my life would end up like this, but I don't regret it. I can't stand by and let terrible things happen to all the good people, I need to be something more, I need to be a hero." Gwen says to Julia.
"You will be, you've proven that you have heart. You're ready." Julia smiled at Gwen.
"If I'm going to be a hero, I'll need a name. How about... Spider-Woman?" Gwen came up with a hero name.
"I like it... but it's taken." Julia says to Gwen.
Gwen is disappointed. "Really?"
"Afraid so?" Julia knows another hero of the same name.
"Hmm? How about... Spider-Girl?" Gwen thought of another name.
"That name will also be claimed by another spider in the future." Julia knows of a Spider-Girl in the future.
"How many Spider-Women are there?" Gwen is surprised.
"Don't worry, you'll find a name that will suit you, but you'll need a suit to wear, something that's more you. Have patience, in time you'll show yourself to everyone, you'll be a new hero that everyone will need, even Spider-Man." Julia foreseen Gwen's future.
Gwen is wondering what kind of hero will she be and what's her connection to Spider-Man. She'll soon find out in the near future.
In the C.I.A. headquarters in Langley, Agent Everett Ross is working alone at his office at night. The lights in the room suddenly shut off, then it turned back on as the same man in a black cat suit is here in person.
"It's you!" Everett Ross is surprised.
"Here!" Black Panther tossed him a flash drive.
Everett took the flash drive that Black Panther gave him.
"All of Klaue's contacts and locations are on the drive, you have everything you'll need to take down his operations for good, Agent Ross." Black Panther is about to leave.
"Wait! Who are you?" Everett Ross is curious about his identity.
"Call me Black Panther, I'll be in touch." Black Panther says to Everett Ross.
The lights in the room shut off then it turned back on as the Black Panther has disappeared before Ross's eyes. He holds the drive that Black Panther gave him but he's more curious about the Black Panther himself.
