Volume II: Cloak and Dagger
Note: This will be the seventh chapter of Volume II, this will introduce Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen as a couple of runaway teens who were experimented on and developed powers of the Darkforce and the Lightforce. They soon cross paths with Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider as they work together to stop Dr. Simon Marshall and his twisted experiments on the innocents. Hammerhead and Silvermane makes a return in this story. Peter and Gwen learned about each other's secret identities as heroes, but they will soon struggle with their relationship as partners and as a couple.
It's October 10th at midnight, in Little Italy, in a secret underground lab. Dr. Simon Marshall is conducting illegal experiments on runaway teens left in the streets. All of them are strapped to prevent them from escaping. He came to check on some of them to see if they're alive or not. He checks them one by one as only eight of them have been deceased, leaving only two left to be checked. A blonde sixteen year old girl and a African American sixteen year old boy are still unconscious as Dr. Marshall is about to check them until Hammerhead came into the lab.
"Hey Doc, what's the progress?" Hammerhead asking Simon Marshall.
"About eight of the test subjects are now deceased, I was about to check on the last two." Simon Marshall informs Hammerhead.
"I thought you said that you were close." Hammerhead isn't too impressed.
"I am close, but there's no guarantees with science. My formulas are too powerful for the human body to process, death is always the possibility for those who aren't compatible." Simon Marshall explained.
"Then we're gonna have to find you more test subjects to continue the experiment. My boss had high hopes for you since you were successful in creating a super being once for the Triads." Hammerhead says to Simon Marshall.
"But the experiment went all wrong when the test subject wrecked the lab and escaped. I was cast out of China by the Triads for my failures. I had nothing until your boss found me one day and agreed to fund my experiments." Simon Marshall says to Hammerhead.
"You better succeed in creating superhumans for my boss, he invested a lot of money, he expects a return on his investments." Hammerhead says to Simon Marshall.
"I'm getting very close, I shall provide a super drug for your boss soon. I will not fail." Simon Marshall assured Hammerhead.
"I hope so Doc, for your sake." Hammerhead then walks away from the lab.
Hammerhead is already gone as Simon Marshall went back to check on the last test subjects. He pulls out his tape recorder.
"Day 37, it's midnight October 10th, about eight of the test subjects have been confirmed deceased. Test subjects Tyrone and Tandy are still unconscious but both appears to be alive. There might still be hope after all. Now all we need to do is wait and see if the formulas effects works, hopefully one of them will be alive to display powers beyond imagining." Simon Marshall speaks into the tape recorder.
He checks the clock to see that it's 2:37 AM, he yawned out loud as he felt tired and sleepy.
"It's getting late, why don't we finish this another time. I need some rest and get my mind straight." Simon Marshall says to himself.
Simon Marshall puts away his tape recorder into the drawer of his desk, he then stretched his arms out as he's all tried out. He shuts off the lights and leaves Ty and Tandy all alone and strapped.
Tandy slowly opens her eyes to see that the whole room is darken due to lack of lights. She tries to move herself around but she realizes that she's strapped onto something. She does her best to get free but to no avail, she opens up her hand and something unexpected happened. A light formed around her hand in a shaped of a dagger, Tandy could see a bit now due to the light from her hand.
"What that?" Tandy is shocked.
The light disappears as Tandy is out of focus, she realizes that she was the one who caused the light, but she still doesn't know why. She then tries again, she opens her hand again and concentrates on making the dagger in her hand. She has had trouble since this is the first time this ever happened to her. Tandy calms herself down and focuses again, she closed her eyes and tries to use her powers. She succeeded in creating a dagger out of solid light.
"I did it." Tandy smiled in excitement.
She kept the light focused as she looks around the room to see that eight teens have died out, except for Tyrone who is starting to wake up from his sleep.
"Ty! Ty, wake up!" Tandy reaches out to Ty.
Ty opened his eyes to see Tandy still strapped to the slab but his biggest surprise is Tandy holding a glowing dagger in her hand.
"Tandy, how are you doing that?" Ty is shocked.
"I wish I knew. Hang on, I'll try to get free." Tandy holding the dagger.
Tandy uses her light dagger to slowly cut off the restraint on her wrist, she managed to cut it off as one arm is free, she then cuts off the rest of her body, her other arm, and her legs. Tandy is all free as she gets off and uses the dagger to cut Ty of all the restraints, she managed to free him too.
"Can you walk?" Tandy asking Ty.
"I think so. Let's get out of here." Ty says to Tandy.
Ty then looked around to find his favorite blackish blue hoodie in the storage box. He puts it on as Tandy is confused.
"What are you doing?" Tandy is curious.
"It's my lucky hoodie. Now let's go." Ty walks out with Tandy.
They found a door and took it, they rushed out of the lab and into the hallway as they ran into a few of Hammerhead's thugs. The thugs pointed their guns and stop them in their tracks.
"Stop right there! Where do you think you two are going?"
"We're checking ourselves out!" Ty tells the thugs.
"I don't think so, get back inside or get put down!"
The thugs have their guns ready to shoot as Ty and Tandy are getting nervous.
"Got any ideas?" Ty asking Tandy.
"Maybe, I just hope it works." Tandy formed her hands together.
She uses her two hands to form an orb of light, the thugs are shocked to see that the girl has powers. Tandy charged up the orb and tossed it at the thugs, blinding them.
"Whoa!" Ty is impressed.
"I know, come on!" Tandy grabbed Ty's hand.
Tandy and Ty took the opportunity to escape while the thugs are still blind. They made it out of the building and ended up in an alleyway. They then ran into two more thugs as they spotted the two trying to escape.
The thugs quickly pulled out their guns and started shooting at them, Tandy took cover but Ty didn't love fast enough as something unexpected happens, some darkness engulfed his body as the bullets phased right through him.
"Ty!!!" Tandy yelled out.
The thugs stopped shooting to see the kid is unharmed, Ty himself is surprised to display powers of his own. Tandy is also shocked to see his powers too, his is like the opposite of hers, his is of darkness.
"What the?" Ty is shocked.
Tandy formed some daggers in her hands and tossed them at the thugs, injuring them both. Tandy went to check up on her friend to see that there's not a single bullet wound on his body, he came out unharmed.
"You have powers too." Tandy is surprised.
They then heard a noise from the building they just escaped, like footsteps.
"We should go!" Tandy suggested to Ty.
"Agreed, let's get out of here." Ty runs away with Tandy.
The thugs made it outside to see a couple of their men down and wounded, the test subjects managed to escape and are now on the loose.
"Hammerhead ain't going to like this at all."
"Better tell the boss."
It's morning time in Queens, at the Parker Residence, Peter is already up and all dressed for school as he came into the dining room as May has already cooked his favorite breakfast, wheat cakes.
"Morning Aunt May." Peter greeted his aunt.
"Morning Peter, I've made your favorite." May greeted her nephew as he placed a plate on the table.
Peter sat down and took a fork, he took a bite of the wheat cake as May could tell something is going on with Peter.
"Is something wrong?" May is curious.
"Why do you ask?" Peter says to May.
"Because it's been a week since you and Gwen learned that you two are heroes. You still haven't talked to each other since that day." May says to Peter.
"Gwen and I agreed to give each other some space to process all this. It's not easy learning that your own girlfriend is a superhero." Peter says to May.
"I'm guessing that Gwen thought the same way as you do." May says to Peter.
"How do you process all this? In the past, Gwen was a kind hearted and highly intelligent girl who was my best friend until I fell in love with her. Now, she's got all these powers and she's a superhero like me." Peter explained to May.
"Peter, no one stays the same forever, we're all changing whether we like it or not. You used to be a simple science nerd who stays out of trouble, now you're a superhero who saves the world and helps people. I wished that you weren't this person, but you are. All I can do is accept the person you are now over who you use to be. The real question is Peter, can you accept Gwen for who she is now?" May says to Peter.
Peter knows that May is right, everyone's changes in life, including himself. But a part of him worries for Gwen since this life of his is dangerous and comes with great risks. He still loves Gwen so much but can he accept Gwen for who she is now, what she's become.
May checked her watch. "I better get going, I have a homeless shelter to run since Martin Li is away in China for business."
"It's nice what you're doing, helping those in need." Peter says to May.
"This is my new purpose in life. I hope that you can accept Gwen's too." May says to Peter.
Peter will need to try to accept Gwen's changes in her life.
At the same time in Manhattan, underneath the bridge in Central Park, Tandy and Ty are both sleeping together for warmth. Tandy woke up to see that it's morning now.
"Ty, wake up. Wake up!" Tandy shaking Ty sleeping.
Ty yawns and opens his eyes to see that it's morning time.
"What time is it?" Ty still a bit sleepy.
"Not sure, but it's morning." Tandy tells Ty.
Ty and Tandy both got up and stands up on their own feet. Their stomaches growled as they're hungry for food.
"I'm starving." Ty has his hand on his stomach.
"Yeah, me too. What are we going to eat?" Tandy is wondering.
"Don't know, I don't have any money on me." Ty is all broke.
"So how are we going to survive?" Tandy is worried.
Ty and Tandy looked at a flyer on a pole, they walked up closer to see that it's a flyer from F.E.A.S.T., offering free food to the homeless in need.
Later at school, it's lunchtime as everyone is in the school courtyard having their break. Peter sees Gwen sitting all alone, he walks up to her and speaks.
"Hey Gwen." Peter says to Gwen.
"Oh, Hi Peter." Gwen says to Peter.
"May I sit down?" Peter says to Gwen.
Gwen nodded her head as Peter sits down with Gwen as neither of them have seen each other since that night.
"It's been a week since... you know." Peter says to Gwen.
"Yeah, I still can't believe that you're... you know." Gwen is being careful not to say anything compromising.
"Yeah, I was just as surprised as you are. I had no idea that you're... you know." Peter is being careful too.
"I guess neither of us was ready to find out the truth like this. It just there's so much I still don't know about you." Gwen says to Peter.
"After school, will you come with me?" Peter says to Gwen.
"To where?" Gwen is curious.
"To a place where I'll answer all your questions." Peter says to Gwen.
"Okay, after school then." Gwen agrees to go with Peter.
"After school then." Peter says to Gwen.
The school bell rang as break time is over, Peter and Gwen gave one last kiss to each other before they head back to class.
Back in the underground lab in Little Italy, Hammerhead and his men looked around to see that a couple of his men have been injured with wounds unlike any they've ever seen before.
Hammerhead walked into the lab as Dr. Marshall is watching the surveillance tapes from last night and his eyes were astonished by what he is witnessing.
"You better have a good explanation for all this!" Hammerhead isn't too happy.
"I do, you better watch this and see for yourself." Simon Marshall is smiling.
Hammerhead watched the tapes from last night to see that the girl can generate solid weapons out of light as she used them against two of the his men. An early tape shows the boy getting shot at as the bullets phased through him and he came out unharmed. Two of the surviving test subjects displayed powers beyond imagining.
"I'll be damned, the experiment worked." Hammerhead is shocked.
"Yes, the new formula I've put in these two gave them extraordinary abilities. But I still need a deeper understanding as to how they were able to survive and what triggered the mutation to their bodies. For the experiments to continue, I need the test subjects back and unharmed for study." Simon Marshall tells Hammerhead.
"Then get right to it!" Silvermane's voice.
Hammerhead and Simon Marshall looked as their boss is walking down with a noise that sounded like a machine.
"If I'm going to take back control of this city, then I'll need an army of superhumans to do my bidding. Get those two back by any means necessary." Silvermane still doesn't show his face.
"Yes boss, I'll have people looking for them." Hammerhead comply with Silvermane's orders.
Meanwhile at F.E.A.S.T., Ty and Tandy are standing in line with the rest of the homeless as they see May Parker along with the staff feeding them wheatcakes and juice for breakfast.
"Does this line usually take so long?" Ty is still waiting.
"If we woke up earlier and found out about this place, we could've been first in line. Have patience, we almost next." Tandy tells Ty.
The guy grabbed his tray and walked away from the line, Ty and Tandy are up next as May serves them both plates with wheatcakes and eggs.
"Here you go, hope you enjoy them." May tells Ty and Tandy.
"Thanks." Ty thanked May.
May is surprised to see a couple of teenagers here at the shelter, she suspects that they're runaways as they've both dressed in unusual clothing. Ty and Tandy walked up to a table to sit down with their trays. They both started to eat the wheatcakes together. Ty and Tandy both took a bite of the wheatcakes and their eyes widen as they love the taste.
"Mmm! Love theses wheatcakes!" Ty smiled as he eats.
"Me too." Tandy loves them too.
One of the patrons there spotted Ty and Tandy sitting together, he immediately recognized those two teens. He exited the building discreetly and pulled out his phone.
"Hammerhead here, who is this?" Hammerhead is on the phone.
"Still looking for the two runaways, I know exactly where they are. They're at F.E.A.S.T.."
Later after school, Peter and Gwen are at Roosevelt Island as he leads her to the entrance of an abandoned subway station.
"What are we doing here?" Gwen is curious.
"You'll see." Peter says to Gwen.
Peter unlocked the entrance as it opens up for them both, Peter leads Gwen inside the tunnel. They continue walking until Peter showed her the Spider-Cave, Gwen's eyes widen as this place is amazing.
"Whoa!" Gwen is shocked.
"Welcome to the Spider-Cave." Peter introduced Gwen to his headquarters.
Gwen walked around to see a supercomputer here, a table where ingredients and components for the web-shooters are kept, Wing Chun Dummy, a punching bag hanging, along with glass cases containing some of Peter's other costumes, the wrestler suit, the first Spider-Man suit, the Spider-Armor, and lastly the Iron Spider Armor.
"How did you built this place?" Gwen asking Peter.
"It used to belong to the Tinkerer until I had him arrested, since then I used this place as my new headquarters where I can refill my webbing and monitor crime activities." Peter explained to Gwen.
"Wow, this place is amazing." Gwen liked the Spider-Cave.
Gwen then sees a picture on the wall with Peter as Spider-Man along with Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Captain Marvel all together when the Avengers was born.
"This is you, and these are the Avengers." Gwen is looking at the photo.
"That's right, it was taken right after we defeated Loki and saved the world. Each of us has one, the original Avengers." Peter says to Gwen.
"Wow, I'm more surprised that Tony Stark is Iron Man, we both saw him and Iron Man at the expo." Gwen is confused.
"He had this special glasses to remote control his armor. He helped me make improvements on this place after the invasion. He even gifted me the Iron Spider Armor I've used against the Spider-Slayer." Peter explained to Gwen.
Peter could see that Gwen has other things on her mind.
"What is it, Gwen?" Peter asking Gwen.
"It's just that... last year, when I woke after nearly dying, I opened my eyes and saw your face, briefly. What I saw wasn't a hallucination, was it?" Gwen says to Peter.
"No, you weren't hallucinating, that was me, I had to take off my mask to save your life, you did see my face that day." Peter says to Gwen.
"It was the first time I thought about you in my dreams, I couldn't understand why, but little by little I've started to have feelings for you without knowing it." Gwen says to Peter.
"I was so scared that day, it felt like a piece of me was dying with you. After I've brought you back to life, I was so relieved. I didn't know it at the time, but I've been developing feelings I've never thought was possible. I fell in love with you, Gwen." Peter says to Peter.
"And I fell in love with you too, Peter. So besides me, who else knows?" Gwen is curious.
"MJ, Madame Web, Nick Fury, the Avengers, my Aunt May, and your dad." Peter tells Gwen who knows his secret.
"Wait! My dad knows who you are too?" Gwen is very surprised.
"When you and MJ got kidnapped by Fisk, I was so desperate to save you both, so I had to revealed my secret to him, but your dad already knew I was Spider-Man, he's always known long before I told him." Peter explained to Gwen.
"How?" Gwen is still shocked.
"He was investigating Spider-Man and he connected the dots to me, and he put two and two together, he figured it out on his own. He never told anyone my secret because he was grateful that I saved your life last year. He came to understand that I was the kind of hero this city needed." Peter explained to Gwen.
"He was right, my dad was always a good judge of character. You are exactly the kind of hero this city needs, you've helped out a lot of people in the past year, you even saved the world once. I'm only here in the world because you saved me life, thank you." Gwen smiled at Peter.
"And you saved my life once too, so I guess we're even now." Peter smiled at Gwen.
"That's sweet." Gwen smiled at Peter.
"So... Ghost-Spider, huh? Neat name, but have you thought about Spider-Woman, Spider-Girl, or White Widow?" Peter says to Gwen.
"I did, but those names were already taken according to Madame Web." Gwen says to Peter.
"To think that you've gone from being ordinary Gwen Stacy to a Spider-Gwen." Peter says to Gwen.
"Spider-Gwen, that's catchy, too bad I can't use it." Gwen like the name.
Peter's phone rang, he pulled it out of his pocket to see that his Aunt May is calling him.
"It's Aunt May." Peter answered the call. "Hey Aunt May, how is work?"
"It's been fine, though that's not why I called you. There are a couple of runaway teens here dressed in unusual clothes like they've been held prisoner somewhere. I'm worried about these two, I could use your help in this." May explained to Peter.
"Okay, I'll be there as soon as possible. Bye Aunt May." Peter hangs up the phone.
"What's going on?" Gwen is curious.
"My aunt is at the shelter and she's got two runaway teens there, she's thinks that something must've happened to them." Peter explained to Gwen.
"Something terrible?" Gwen is troubled.
"I hope not, but anyway, I should go and make sure. Wanna tag along?" Peter asking Gwen.
"Why not." Gwen smiled as she brought her suit in her backpack.
"Then let's go." Peter has his suit in his backpack.
Back at F.E.A.S.T., May is with the two runaways as they look through donations of clothes for them to wear.
"How'd you get all theses clothes?" Tandy is looking through them.
"They're all donated, sometimes the homeless would often wear torn out shirts or something. Take you pick." May tells them.
Tandy found a white pants of her size and a shirt with a big silver cross in the middle. Ty found a black long sleeve shirt and black pants, but what got his attention is the cloak with black and blue stripes.
"I think we got what we needed." Tandy holding up her new clothes.
"Go ahead and change in the next room." May points towards the restrooms.
"Thank you." Tandy tells May.
"Yeah, thanks lady." Ty tells May.
Ty and Tandy each went in separate restrooms to change out of their current attire. May is outside waiting as she has many questions for them.
"Do any of you have names?" May is outside asking.
"I'm Tyrone Johnson, but you can call me Ty." Ty is still inside the restroom.
"And I'm Tandy Bowen." Tandy is still inside the other restroom.
Gunshots are popping outside the shelter as May is getting worried of what's going on out there.
"What was that?" Ty is asking from the inside.
"Stay inside and stay hidden." May tells Ty and Tandy.
May walked up to a door and partially opened it to take a peek as she sees a man with a deformed head and men with guns here at the shelter.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I apologize for the rude intrusion, but we're here looking for a couple of teens here, one of them is a blonde girl and the other is a black kid." Hammerhead speaks to everyone.
May is hidden as she's shocked to hear that this man is looking for those two teens.
"I know that they were here, we've received a tip. Now somebody better start talking or I'm afraid we're gonna have to close down this shelter, permanently." Hammerhead cocking his gun.
The thugs cocked their guns too as they're ready to start shooting, making the hostages fear for their lives.
Ty and Tandy came out the restrooms dressed in their new clothes, they see May hiding behind the door taking a peek. They came up close to take a peek too, May is shocked to see them both out of hiding.
"I told you two to stay hidden." May says to Ty and Tandy.
"We're not good listeners." Tandy says to May.
Ty and Tandy took a peek and recognize the man from before.
"My god, they found us." Ty is shocked.
"Who are they? What's going on here?" May is confused.
"Now is not the time to discuss this. We can't stay hidden and do nothing while innocent people are in danger." Tandy says to May.
"Tandy's right, these guys will kill everyone to get to us. We can't let that happen." Ty agrees with Tandy.
Ty and Tandy opened the door and came out of hiding to show themselves to Hammerhead and his crew.
"We're right here, leave them out of this!" Ty tells Hammerhead.
"Oh, I wish I could, but we can't have any witnesses. Men, shoot!" Hammerhead gave the order.
The thugs have their guns ready to shoot and kill.
"Nooo!!!" Ty uses his powers without knowing it.
Ty channeled darkness from himself and engulfed the thugs as they're blinded by all the darkness.
"Can't see! What the hell is all this?!" Hammerhead stuck in darkness.
All the thugs began to hallucinate as they all began to see their fears, Ty has no idea what he just did or why they are trembling in fear. Hammerhead is trembling in fear too as he gazed upon his worst fears.
"No, you can't be here!" Hammerhead is afraid.
"Joseph, my son, you disappointed me greatly!" Hammerhead's fear comes to life.
"Stay back!" Hammerhead started shooting his gun.
Everyone ducked down as bullets are fired wildly, Ty and Tandy have no idea what's going on here. Hammerhead is shooting at something but there's nobody there.
"What's going on here?" Tandy is confused.
"I'm not entire sure. But I certainly did something." Ty is just as confused.
"We need to do something, if they keep on shooting, someone will get killed." Tandy tells Ty.
"Agreed, care to do the honors?" Ty says to Tandy.
Tandy summoned her daggers and tossed them at the armed thugs, wounding them and having them neutralized. May is stunned as she witnessed these two teens using powers unlike any she seen before.
Hammerhead snaps out of his fears as he can see clearly, he has gone through his worst fears and is angry, he charges in at Ty and managed to strike him with his adamantium head, Ty got knocked out cold.
"Ty!" Tandy yelled out.
Tandy summoned more daggers but was too slow to strike back as Hammerhead managed to gripped both her wrists, she can't strike back with her daggers as they're disappearing and she's powerless.
"My boss wanted you both brought back alive and unharmed. But you two messed with the wrong man, I'll simply bring both back alive, but in more pain than ever!" Hammerhead still gripping Tandy's wrists.
Hammerhead threatens Tandy with his head until Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider both came crashing down the window ceiling, Spidey managed to webbed up Hammerhead's face, Ghost-Spider came in for a drop kick on his head, his grip loosened as Spider-Man webbed Tandy towards him and carries her in his arms.
"Hope you don't mind me carrying you?" Spider-Man carrying Tandy.
"No, not at all" Tandy blushed in Spider-Man's presence.
Hammerhead removed the webbing from his face and got more angrier than before, he spotted Spider-Man and the new hero Ghost-Spider here.
"You should go." Spider-Man puts Tandy down to stand on her own feet.
Tandy ran back to check up on Ty who is still unconscious from the direct hit from Hammerhead.
"Hammerhead, it been a long time since I've seen your ugly mug." Spider-Man says to Hammerhead.
"Spider-Man, always sticking your nose where it doesn't belong, and I see that you didn't come alone." Hammerhead noticed Spider-Man's new partner.
"What do you want from these two kids?" Spider-Man is curious.
"That's none of your business, but since you'll try to stop me, I'll have to deal with you first." Hammerhead pulled out his brass knuckles.
"So how dangerous is this guy?" Ghost-Spider asking Spider-Man.
Hammerhead charges in at full speed as the two spiders jumped and split up, Hammerhead missed and crashed his head against the wall. Ghost-Spider sees him pulling his head out and saw the damage he inflicted.
"Okay, never mind." Ghost-Spider gets the picture.
Tandy is shaking Ty who still his eyes closed as she's doing everything she can to wake him up.
"Ty, wake up!" Tandy keeps waking Ty up.
Ty opens his eyes to see Tandy's face. "Tandy?"
"Ty, glad that you're alright." Tandy felt relieved.
Some of Hammerhead's thugs are free from their fears as they sees Ty and Tandy together while Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are holding off Hammerhead.
"Ah, Tandy." Ty noticed trouble.
Hammerhead's thugs all have their guns pointed at them, Tandy hugged Ty as they fear the worst. Ty closes his eyes as his powers began to work itself again, both Ty and Tandy got consumed by the Darkforce as Hammerhead's men fired their guns but they're both gone from the scene.
"What the hell?"
(Central Park)
A drunken homeless man is laying his back against the tree with a bottle of whiskey in his hand.
"Down the hatch!"
Something unexpected happens as a dark fog is forming up on the grass, Ty and Tandy both emerged from the darkness as they opened their eyes to see that they're no longer at the shelter.
"How did we end up here?" Tandy is confused.
"I don't know." Ty is confused too.
The drunken man is shocked to find two teens suddenly showed up out of thin air, he remembers a certain incident last year concerning another teen who was able to lift a large boulder with ease. He assumes that the alcohol is playing tricks on his mind again, he pour down the whiskey onto the ground.

Hammerhead stopped fighting as did Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider as everyone noticed that both Ty and Tandy are both gone from the shelter instantly.
"Where did they go?!" Hammerhead is shocked.
"What do you want from those two?" Spider-Man wants answers.
"Like I said, none of your business. Alright boys, time to bail out!" Hammerhead tells his men.
"You're not going anywhere!" Spider-Man tries to stop Hammerhead.
"Oh, yes we are!" Hammerhead holding a flash bang.
He dropped the flash bang as Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider both got blinded by the light, they've recovered their senses and noticed that Hammerhead and his men are already gone.
"They got away." Spider-Man says to Ghost-Spider.
"Well, at least no one here got hurt." Ghost-Spider says to Spider-Man.
Spider-Man turns to see Aunt May nearby unharmed.
"Are you alright?" Spider-Man is worried for Aunt May.
"I'm okay, I'm fine." May assured Spider-Man.
"What happened here?" Ghost-Spider asking May.
"There's something I've got to tell you that you're not going to believe." May wants to tell them everything.
Back in Little Italy, Dr. Marshall meets the new test subjects that Silvermane's men has brought for his research. They're all runaway teens just like Ty and Tandy, and none of them came of their own free will.
"Brought you more test subjects for your research."
"Excellent, take them to the lab and strapped them down!" Simon Marshall tells the men.
The teens are taken into another room awaiting to be tested as Hammerhead just returned with his men, Silvermane still remains hidden in the shadows.
"Hammerhead, why have you come back empty handed?" Silvermane is wondering.
"We had them, but there was a complication." Hammerhead explained to his boss.
"Spider-Man?" Silvermane just guessed.
"And his new sidekick, we had them until those two intervened. Unfortunately the experiments have escaped once again from our clutches." Hammerhead explained to this boss.
"This is all getting complicated, those two knows too much about what we're doing here. If those heroes managed to find them, then this entire operation is at risk. Find those two immediately, if they won't return willingly, kill them." Silvermane orders Hammerhead.
"Yes boss." Hammerhead complied with his boss's orders.
Sometime later at F.E.A.S.T., place is surrounded by police and paramedics. Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are both on the rooftop with May as she explained everything she had witnessed.
"You're saying that these two have powers too?" Ghost-Spider says to May.
"Exactly, the girl seemed to formed glowing knives from her hands and the boy can conjure up darkness. This Hammerhead fellow seemed determined to get them at any cost." May explained to them.
"You seemed to know this guy, who is he?" Ghost-Spider asking Spider-Man.
"He calls himself Hammerhead, he was Silvermane's right hand man until his death last year. I haven't heard from him in a while until now, I thought he left town after his boss was killed." Spider-Man explained about Hammerhead.
"I'm guessing he never left." Ghost-Spider guessed.
"But what does he have to do with those two runaways? If I know Hammerhead, he's not going to stop until he get his hands on them." Spider-Man suspects it's not over.
"Then we need to get to them first before he does." Ghost-Spider says to Spider-Man.
George Stacy came up to the rooftop to find May with Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider. Ghost-Spider is shocked to find her dad here but he still doesn't know who she is underneath the mask.
"May, glad that you're okay." George Stacy was worried for May.
"I'm fine George, these two came to my rescue in time." May looking at the two heroes.
"Happy to see that you were in the neighborhood as always, and I see that you've brought a partner with you." George Stacy says to Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider.
"Happy to help as always." Spider-Man says to George Stacy.
George Stacy then looked at Ghost-Spider who is still stunned that she has her father here.
"Hey Ghost-Spider." Spider-Man gets her attention.
"Huh?" Ghost-Spider snapped back to reality.
"Are you okay?" Spider-Man says to Ghost-Spider.
"Yeah, my mind was elsewhere." Ghost-Spider says to Spider-Man.
George Stacy looked at Ghost-Spider with a suspicious look on his face, she noticed it.
"What?" Ghost-Spider is wondering.
"Do I know you? I have this feeling that we've met before from somewhere?" George Stacy is wondering.
"Ah... I don't think so." Ghost-Spider tries to deny it.
"Anyway, we should get going. We have a lot of ground to cover." Spider-Man tells Ghost-Spider.
"Right, let's get going." Ghost-Spider says to Spider-Man.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider both shot lines and swings away leaving George and May on the rooftop, they watched as the heroes swing away. May noticed George still looking at Ghost-Spider swinging away.
"George, is everything alright?" May asking George Stacy.
"There's just something about Ghost-Spider that seems familiar to me." George Stacy says to May.
May couldn't say much since she already knows that Ghost-Spider is his daughter Gwen, she hopes that Gwen would one day tell him the truth herself.
The sun is almost setting down as Ty and Tandy are both walking through the streets of New York City.
"How did we ended up from a homeless shelter to all the way to Central Park?" Ty is confused.
"I think that you did all that, somehow." Tandy suspected Ty has another power.
"So besides phasing and creating fears, I can now teleport myself to another place. That's pretty sweet." Ty likes this new ability.
They kept on walking down blending in with the crowd until a dark sedan stopped across the street, a group of four thugs got out and spotted the two teens.
"There they are!"
"Crap, they found us again. Run!" Tandy tells Ty.
Ty and Tandy runs away from the thugs chasing after them, the thugs are doing their best to push through the crowd standing in their way.

Spider-Man landed on a rooftop still searching for the two runaways. He radios in Ghost-Spider who is searching in another part of town.
"Anything?" Spider-Man calling to Ghost-Spider.
"Nothing from my end." Ghost-Spider informs Spider-Man.
"Okay, keep searching." Spider-Man tells Ghost-Spider.
"Will do, good luck." Ghost-Spider tells Spider-Man.
"You too." Spider-Man hangs up.
Spider-Man jumps off the rooftop to continue his search for the missing two teens.
(Alleyway)
Ty and Tandy ditched the streets hoping to lose them in the alleyway, they kept on running as they looked back and sees that they're still being chased.
"They're still coming!" Ty running with Tandy.
"Just keep running!" Tandy running with Ty.
They're running to the other end of the alleyway until another sedan came up and blocked their path, Ty and Tandy stopped as they see four more thugs stepping out of the car, they turn back to see the four thugs behind them. The eight thugs have them trapped and surrounded.
"Last chance, come with us or die."
"No, we will not be guinea pigs for some mad scientist's twisted experiments!" Tandy tells the thugs.
"You heard her, we'll take our chance." Ty standing beside Tandy.
"So be it, kill them both!"
The thugs pulled out their guns and knives as they're ready for a fight. Tandy and Ty are back to back preparing to fight back.
"So which ones do you want to fight?" Tandy asking Ty.
"I'll take the stupid ones who tried to get us to surrender." Ty tells Tandy.
"Okay, then that leaves me these bozos." Tandy summoned two daggers.
The thugs from the car started shooting at Ty but he managed to control his powers and the bullets phased through them, Tandy helps out by tossing a couple of daggers at the armed thugs, wounding them.
Ty could see that thugs with knives are coming at Tandy as he uses his other ability and engulfed them in darkness, the thugs are blinded inside, unable to see or strike.
Another thug came at him with a pipe as Ty got distracted but he then teleported to another place nearby, the thug missed. Tandy sees Ty getting the hang of controlling his powers. Tandy summoned another dagger and strikes at the thug.
About six thugs have been neutralized as they see the remaining two aiming their submachine guns ready to kill, the guns got webbed up as they look up to see Spider-Man dropping in.
"Incoming!" Spider-Man kicked them both down.
Ty and Tandy see that Spider-Man came to their rescue in time, all eight thugs have been taken out.
"I see that you two managed to handle things by yourself." Spider-Man noticed the downed thugs.
"Thanks for the assistance, Spider-Man." Tandy gives her gratitude.
"Happy to help, now I have a lot of questions to ask you both." Spider-Man wants to talk with them.
"I'm sure you do, but right now Tandy and I are leaving before anymore thugs comes for us. So goodbye!" Ty is about to leave with Tandy.
"Hey wait!" Spider-Man put a hand on Ty's shoulder.
Ty reacted and used his power on Spider-Man as the hero is engulfed in darkness.
Spider-Man has no idea what is happening to him as visions of his fears appears before his eyes. He sees Gwen Stacy dying before his eyes as it's really getting.
"Gwen!" Spider-Man yelled out.
"Goodbye Peter." Gwen dies before his eyes.
"No! Gwen!!!" Spider-Man yelled out in fear.
Tandy uses her powers to neutralize Ty's powers on Spider-Man, they see the Web-Slinger on his knees in fear of something he witnessed.
"Ty, what did you do?!" Tandy is shocked.
"I didn't mean to, I'm so sorry Spider-Man! It was an accident!" Ty tries to apologize to Spider-Man.
Spider-Man is shaking off the effects of Ty's powers but the fear he witnessed is still in there in his head.
"What... what just happened?" Spider-Man is confused.
"I... used my power on you, it seemed to show off your worst fears, something you're most afraid off. Forgive me for sucker punch you like this. It's just that me and Tandy just escaped from that hellhole Hammerhead was keeping us in." Ty explained to Spider-Man.
"Tell me more." Spider-Man wants to hear more.
They look around to see that some of Hammerhead's men are recovering a bit slowly.
"Maybe this isn't the best place for a conversation." Tandy says to them.
"Agreed, let's get to a safe place and talk." Spider-Man tells them.
The sun has finally set down, it's night time in New York, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are both on top of a rooftop with Ty and Tandy as they talk about everything that has happened.
"I'm Spider-Man, as you already know." Spider-Man introduced himself.
"And I'm Ghost-Spider." Ghost-Spider introduced herself.
"Tyrone Johnson, but you can call me Ty." Ty introduced himself.
"And I'm Tandy Bowen." Tandy introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you both." Spider-Man says to them.
"Okay, now that we know each other. We're listening." Ghost-Spider standing with Spider-Man.
"Very well, me and Ty are a couple of runaways that each made it to New York on our own in search of a better life for ourselves, but instead we ended up being capture by those goon." Tandy explained to them.
"And we weren't the only ones, there were eight more like us being experimented on, in a secret lab. This scientist named Dr. Simon Marshall used us all as guinea pigs for his sick experiments." Ty explained to them.
"Simon Marshall? I've heard of this guy from a science magazine." Ghost-Spider recognized that name.
"So have I, his experiments were banned by the government due to his unethical practices and unstable behavior. Looks like he's working for Hammerhead." Spider-Man says to them.
"Apparently their goal is to create superhumans for his criminal enterprise. So far me and Tandy are the only living results of their experiments." Ty explained to them.
"Hammerhead probably sees the value of this experiment, he's not just going to stop at just you two. He'll continue this operation in creating more superhumans, even if that means putting innocent lives at risk." Spider-Man tells the group.
"We can't allow that to happen, we have to stop him." Ghost-Spider says to Spider-Man.
"Do any of you know where this secret lab is?" Spider-Man asking them.
"Yeah, I think so." Ty tells Spider-Man.
"Okay, then we'll go to this lab and shut down this operation for good." Ghost-Spider tells the group.
"No Ghost-Spider, I think it's best that you stay out of this one. Ty could probably lead me to this place." Spider-Man doesn't want Ghost-Spider involved.
"Like hell I'm staying out of this! I'm going!" Ghost-Spider isn't backing down.
"Ghost-Spider, I'm being serious, this is dangerous!" Spider-Man protest back.
"Are you saying that I can't handle this?" Ghost-Spider felt offended.
"I think we should give these two some privacy to work out their issues." Tandy says to Ty.
"Yeah." Ty agrees with Tandy.
Ty and Tandy both teleported away from the rooftop, leaving Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider to talk alone, they pulled off their masks and showed their faces.
"What is going on with you?" Gwen isn't too happy.
"Gwen, I once face Hammerhead before and this guy almost came close to killing me. I was lucky to survive." Peter tells Gwen.
"Peter, I can take care of myself. I'm not afraid of fighting dangerous foes." Gwen isn't showing fear.
"But I'm afraid that something will happen to you eventually if you continue being a hero. None of us are invincible, we're all vulnerable to death. If something happens to you, I'll never forgive myself." Peter has fear in his eyes.
"Are you concern as my partner or as my boyfriend?" Gwen asking Peter.
"Both, this shouldn't happened to you Gwen, you should never have powers and become a hero, this isn't you." Peter expressed his concern.
Gwen felt offended by what Peter just said to her.
"Well guess what, Peter! This is me, this is who I'm meant to be, not just some science nerd who gets straight 'A's, but the girl who gained powers and uses them to help people just like you!" Gwen protest to Peter.
"Gwen, being a hero isn't all fun and games, it very serious, it means facing all sort of danger. I just don't want something terrible to happen to you." Peter says to Gwen.
"Something terrible has already happened to me, last year I was taken hostage and I nearly died! Then months later, me and Mary Jane got kidnapped by a mobster who wanted me to get back at you. What did you think was going to happen? Did you really think that I can just go back to having a normal life? I can't, the spider that bit me gave me a new purpose in life. I'm glad to become this new girl, I had to become strong, because the old me, she was weak." Gwen tells Peter.
"How could you say that? The old you was the girl I fell in love with." Peter couldn't believe what Gwen is saying.
"She's gone Peter... and she's never coming back." Gwen stated to Peter.
Gwen puts his mask back on, Peter is still stunned by what Gwen just told him.
"Gwen..." Peter wants to say more until he gets cut off.
"Let's get this over with. Our new friends are waiting." Ghost-Spider jumps off the rooftop.
Peter puts his mask back on and swings after Ghost-Spider.
They both reached another rooftop where Ty and Tandy are both waiting for them to settle their issues.
"Did you you two settled it?" Tandy asking the heroes.
"Yeah, for now." Ghost-Spider looking at Spider-Man.
"Okay, so where is this secret lab?" Spider-Man asking the two teens.
"About that, me and Tandy talked. We're coming with you two to help put an end to all of this." Ty tells the heroes.
"Guys, I appreciate you offering your help, but theses are very dangerous people we're going up against, could come with risks." Spider-Man tells them.
"Ty and Me were held captive, experimented on, these guys hunted us down and endangered anyone standing in their way. There are other teens like us that are in danger too. We can't sit this one out." Tandy says to Spider-Man.
"Tandy's right, this is our fight way before it became yours. Perhaps we've been given these powers for a reason, maybe it's fate that we've crossed paths with you. Maybe we were destined to become heroes, just like you two." Ty says to Spider-Man.
"Are you sure you this is what you want? Because once you go down this path, there is no turning back?" Ghost-Spider asking them.
"Sure I'm sure." Tandy made up her mind.
"If Tandy is in, then I'm in too." Ty made up his mind too.
"Okay, if you two are going to be doing this, then you'll need code names for yourselves. Any suggestions?" Spider-Man tells them both.
"Well, since I'm wearing a cloak, I should go by Cloak." Ty calls himself Cloak.
"And you all can call me Dagger." Tandy calls herself Dagger.
"Cloak and Dagger, that's fitting." Spider-Man likes the names.
"I like those names too." Ghost-Spider likes the names.
"We should get going, the lab is hidden in Little Italy. We know exactly where." Dagger revealed the location.
"Little Italy is on the other side of the city, we have long way to go even by web-slinging." Spider-Man says to the group.
"Not to worry, I have a quicker way to get there." Cloak has a suggestion.
"We're all ears." Ghost-Spider is interested.
"I have this ability to teleport myself and anyone I take with me to another place. That's how me and Tandy got away from the shelter. I've figured out how to take all of us there, though needless to say I think we should only do this once." Cloak explained about his powers.
"If you're confident this will work." Spider-Man says to Cloak.
"I'm confident he'll get us there." Dagger has faith in Cloak.
"Okay, do it." Spider-Man is convinced.
"Gather together." Cloak tells the group.
Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Dagger all gather together as Cloak is preparing to teleport everyone to Little Italy.
"Alright, hang on." Cloak tells the group.
Cloak summoned darkness from himself and engulfed the group as he teleports himself and his friends away from the rooftop.
Sometime later in Little Italy, the group are on a rooftop looking down the alley where Cloak and Dagger escaped the first time. The entrance to the hideout is guarded by two thugs outside.
"Never thought we be back to this place again." Dagger looking down.
"We only see two thugs guarding the door. This should be a piece of cake." Cloak tells the group.
"Let's do this quietly, if they see us, then things could get messy for the prisoners." Spider-Man tells the group.
"Agreed, anyone want to take care of them?" Ghost-Spider asking the group.
The two thugs are standing and keeping their eyes and ears sharp for any intruders. Cloak suddenly showed up out of thin air and took one of the thugs with him as they teleported away.
"What the?"
The last thug got webbed and pulled up, Spider-Man jumps down to the ground as he sees nothing but the door.
"Okay, coast is clear!" Spider-Man informs the group.
Cloak showed up with Ghost-Spider and Dagger, Spider-Man opened the door as the whole group sneaks inside the building.
Everyone is inside as Cloak and Dagger are taking the lead with Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider following them.
"Are you sure you know which way you're both going?" Ghost-Spider asking them.
"We're sure, neither of us likes being back here, but we can't let other innocent lives suffer the same fate as us." Dagger tells them.
"Yeah, we all need to confront our fears." Cloak says to the group.
"Good advice." Ghost-Spider gave Spider-Man the look.
Spider-Man gets the idea what that look meant, he's still dealing with his fears of what Cloak showed him.
"Here we are." Dagger found the room.
Dagger grabbed the knob and tried to opened it, but it's locked.
"It's locked, and this is a steel door." Dagger looking at the door.
"I have a way of opening it, wait here." Cloak has a suggestion.
Inside the lab is a cage holding the new test subjects ready to be experimented on, the teens all remain quiet until something appears out of the wall, Cloak phased through the wall and is inside the room.
Cloak is now on the other side as he unlocks the steel door and opens it, he invites Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Dagger inside.
"Neat trick." Spider-Man is impressed.
"Wasn't sure it would work." Cloak had his doubts.
The heroes looked at the cages to see the homeless teens locked inside cages.
"This is terrible, we need to get them out of here." Ghost-Spider tells the group.
Both Spider-Man's and Ghost-Spider's senses tingles at the same time.
"Oh oh!" Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider said in unison.
"What's wrong?" Dagger asking the spiders.
"We got trouble." Spider-Man sensed danger.
The whole room lit up with lights as men with guns have the heroes surrounded.
"They knew we were coming. This was a trap." Spider-Man tells the group.
"Bravo Spider-Man, of course it's a trap. I knew that sooner or later you would find this place. Couldn't resist sticking your finger up the wrong nose, could you? So predictable." Hammerhead shows himself.
"Should've figure that you were the one running this operation, kidnapping the homeless and conducting illegal experiments seems like something you would do." Spider-Man says to Hammerhead.
"Oh I wish I could take all the credit, Bug Boy, but this ain't my operation. This was my boss's, it was always my boss's." Hammerhead tells Spider-Man.
The heroes hears something machine moving out of the shadows, they all became shocked by what they have seen. An old man who is now all part machine, Spider-Man recognize the man as Silvermane.
"So we meet again, Spider-Man." Silvermane showed his new form.
"Silvermane?" Spider-Man is shocked.
"In the flesh, sort of speak." Silvermane is now a cyborg.
"What happened to you?" Spider-Man is curious.
"Ah yes, quite a shock I'm sure. I had indeed survived Kingpin's assassination against me in the explosion, but it came at a price. My body was too damage beyond recovery, so I had to become this perfect fusion of man and machine in order to survive. I'd stayed hidden in the shadows planning my revenge by killing the Kingpin and taking control of this city. Thank you for removing him from the equation by the way, makes my job all too easy." Silvermane explained to Spider-Man.
"Don't get comfortable, even alive, you're still wanted by the authorities for your association with the Kingpin and your previous criminal enterprise. I've stopped you before and I'll stop you again." Spider-Man says to Silvermane.
"Don't be too confident, boy. I'm no longer the same old man who uses others to do his dirty work. I am more stronger and powerful than before." Silvermane shows off.
Dr. Simon Marshall comes out of the shadows to reveal himself to the heroes.
"Mr. Johnson, Ms. Bowen, you've returned home. I'm flattered." Simon Marshall is happy.
"Too bad the feeling ain't mutual." Cloak is disgusted.
"I see that you still haven't changed. Still using kids for your sick science project." Dagger is disgusted.
"Science requires sacrifice, and we've barely tapped the vastness of human potential. You two are the results of my great genius. Imagine it, to give all that power of light and darkness to others, we shall become a better race." Simon Marshall is delusional in his work.
"Sorry to burst your bubble, Dr. Evil, but your twisted experiments ends here and now!" Spider-Man
"I think we've talked enough, finish them off once and for all!" Silverman gave the order.
All of Silvermane's thugs have their guns aimed and ready to kill the heroes.
"Dagger, light up the room!" Cloak tells Dagger.
"Cover your eyes!" Dagger tells Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider.
Cloak, Spider-Man, and Ghost-Spider all have their eyes closed. Dagger formed a ball of light and tossed up in the air and a big bright light flashed at the entire room as Hammerhead, Silvermane, and their men all got caught in the flash.
"You can open them back now." Dagger tells the heroes.
They all opened their eyes to see that the bad guys are all temporarily blinded, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider acted quickly before the bad guys recovered their sight back. They webbed up all the guns with their web-shooters, they yanked them off the bad guys hands and disarmed them.
Dr. Simon Marshall managed to recover his sight as he makes a run for it, Cloak and Dagger spotted the evil scientist escaping.
"Cloak, he's getting away!" Dagger tells Cloak.
"Let's get after him!" Cloak tells Dagger.
Cloak and Dagger chases after the doctor as Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider both got left behind, Silvermane and Hammerhead are recovering their sights as did most of the thugs.
"I guess this leaves just these guys for us." Ghost-Spider says to Spider-Man.
"Agreed, let's take care of them." Spider-Man says to Ghost-Spider.
"Get them!!!" Silvermane yelled out.
The bad guys charged right at the heroes, the two spider charged at them too as they all started to fight.
Meanwhile Dr. Simon Marshall is at his office picking up his case and research papers, he took all he can grab and made a run out of the office. He was about to escape until Cloak and Dagger stopped him in his tracks.
"Going somewhere?" Dagger has her daggers in her hands.
Simon Marshall sighed. "I wished that you two can appreciate what I've given you."
"We never asked for any of this, we were forced upon!" Cloak isn't too happy.
"Innocent people have died in the name of your experiment, we won't let it happen ever again." Dagger says to Simon Marshall.
"You're both only two of my three greatest successes, I could not be more proud." Simon Marshall tells them.
"What do you mean two of three?" Dagger is confused.
"You both didn't think you were the firsts, I had another success before you two, one who can harness the powers of both light and darkness, perhaps the most powerful, even more powerful than you both." Simon Marshall explained about his other experiment.
"Who?" Cloak is curious.
"I could tell you, but I'm afraid we've reach the end of this conversation!" Simon Marshall closed his eyes and tossed a flash bang.
Cloak and Dagger both got blinded by the flash as Dagger is disoriented, she tries to shake it off but she got taser by Simon. Cloak is recovering his sight as Dagger is in trouble.
"Dagger!" Cloak yelled out.
Cloak tries to uses his powers of darkness on the evil scientist but he missed as his eye sight is still blurry. Simon turned his attention towards Cloak and tasered the young hero.
"I'm really disappointed, I never wanted to come to this!" Simon Marshall pull out a gun.
Cloak can't focus his power due to the flash bang and the taser shock. Dagger is seeing a blurry vision of Simon with a gun preparing to kill Cloak.
"You can't stop the future, because I will be the future!" Simon Marshall is about to pull the trigger.
"No!!!" Dagger yelled out.
Dagger still blurry summoned multiple light daggers and tossed them all in the same direction hoping to hit Simon and save Cloak.
Cloak managed to recover his eyesight and sees Simon Marshall with a dagger pierced through his heart. Simon dropped the gun and turns around to see that Dagger is responsible for piercing him. He barely clings to live as he falls down and dies in front of them.
Dagger couldn't believe that she had taken a life, she only wanted to stop Simon from killing Cloak. She walked up and gave Cloak her hand. Cloak took it and she pulled him up on his feet. They both gazed upon the corpse of Simon Marshall.
"Is he?" Dagger is wondering.
"Yeah, he's gone. You saved my life, there was no other way. It was self defense, he had a gun, you had no choice." Cloak tries to assure Dagger.
"Still doesn't make it any easier." Dagger isn't comfortable.
"Come on, we need to help the spiders." Cloak reminded Dagger.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man is engaged in combat with Silvermane who is proven to be a formidable foe in his new form. Spider-Man throw some punches but Silvermane caught his fists, he held them and started crushing, making Spider-Man flinch in pain.
"What's the matter? Can't take on an old man?" Silvermane taunts Spider-Man.
Spider-Man then strikes back with a head butt to Silvermane's head, the man felt the pain as he lets go of Spider-Man's fists.
Ghost-Spider is doing some backflips as Hammerhead is charging at her with his head. Hammerhead came close to hitting her but he missed as she jumped up in the air, he crashed his head against the wall.
"You missed!" Ghost-Spider taunts Hammerhead.
Hammerhead pulled his head out and crunches his fists.
"We'll see who misses who." Hammerhead has his fists ready.
Hammerhead switches to hand to hand combat using his boxing skills. Ghost-Spider bob and weaves his attacks, she's faster than him as he could barely land a hit.
Silvermane strikes back with his fists at Spider-Man but the hero caught his fists in their tracks. He uses his strength to twist his mechanical hands, surprising Silvermane with his strength.
"You maybe all machine now, but in the end, you're still an old man." Spider-Man stated to Silvermane.
Hammerhead managed to land a punch on Ghost-Spider as he turns to see that his boss is in danger. Spider-Man has gained the advantage over Silvermane as the crime boss is cowering in fear.
"Now it's time for you to surrender." Spider-Man says to Silvermane.
Spider-Man's senses tingle as he is too late to react, Hammerhead came charging and managed to hit him hard. Hammerhead went to help his boss.
"Boss, we're getting beaten, we need to retreat to fight another day! Come on!" Hammerhead helps up his boss.
Hammerhead escorts his boss to a hallway as Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider tries to stop their escape. Hammerhead see the two heroes coming, he hit the switch and closes the steel door tight. The heroes couldn't catch up to Silvermane in time.
"That should hold them for a while." Hammerhead helping Silvermane.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider work together to lift the door up but it's impossible as it's sealed tight and the door is made out reinforced steel.
"Damn it!" Spider-Man is disappointed.
Their spider senses tingles as they turn around to see thugs now arming themselves with the very guns the heroes took off them.
(Rooftop)
Meanwhile Hammerhead and Silvermane made it to the rooftop of the building where a helicopter is waiting, Hamerhead helped Silvermane onto the helicopter.
"Fly!" Hammerhead tells the pilot.
The helicopter turns on and the blades are spinning, it lifts off the helipad and flies away from the city. Hammerhead is sitting with his boss who is still a mess from the fight with Spider-Man.
"We live to find another day, boss." Hammerhead tells Silvermane.

Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider both took cover behind some desks as all the thugs are firing bullets in their direction.
"We're pinned down!" Ghost-Spider took cover.
"All we can do is wait until they're out of bullets!" Spider-Man tells Ghost-Spider.
The thugs kept on shooting until Cloak appears before their eyes, they turned their attention towards him until he unleashed his Darkforce from his cloak and engulfed them in darkness.
"Okay Dagger, you're up!" Cloak still using his powers.
Dagger summoned a light dagger in each hand as she tries something she never thought before, she focuses on extending the length of the daggers, making them longer than usual.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider took a peek to see Dagger getting inside the darkness as she does her work in making cutting noises with her daggers. She jumped after she's finished her work, the thugs sees the darkness is vanishing. Dagger stood before them, they have their guns pointed at her. But before they could do anything, each of their guns broke apart in pieces.
The thugs have been disarmed again as Cloak and Dagger stood before them, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider joined up with them.
"Care to dance some more?" Dagger holding light daggers.
The thugs have been outclassed by the heroes as they all surrendered themselves and gave up.
"Smart." Cloak tells the thugs.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider both used their web-shooters to restrain all the thugs tight to keep them from escaping.
Cloak and Dagger approached the cages as Dagger uses her light dagger to cut the locks off, the cage doors opened.
"It's okay, you're all safe now and free." Dagger tells the teens.
The runaway teens stepped out of their cages as they're grateful to the heroes for saving their lives.
"What happened to Dr. Marshall?" Spider-Man asking Cloak and Dagger.
"He's dead, he tried to kill Cloak, I had no choice." Dagger tells the heroes.
"She did it to save my life." Cloak vouches for Dagger.
Spider-Man could see that Dagger isn't comfortable about what she just did.
"I guess you did what needed to be done to save your friend." Spider-Man says to Dagger.
"Silvermane and Hammerhead?" Cloak is curious.
"They got away, long gone by now." Ghost-Spider says to Cloak.
"We should probably call this in, there's a lot of work to do." Spider-Man suggested to the group.
Later, police and paramedics are at the scene in Little Italy as officers are escorting the thugs into the vans. Paramedics are helping the runaways to see if they're alright. The corner are wheeling out a body bag carrying the body of Simon Marshall.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are with George Stacy and Yuri Watanabe explained everything that was going on here.
"Can't believe that Silvermane is still alive and running this operation." George Stacy is surprised.
"Where is he anyway?" Yuri Watanabe asking the question.
"He got away with Hammerhead." Spider-Man tells the police.
"At least you two were successful in stopping this illegal experimentation going on here. You saved some lives tonight." George Stacy says to the heroes.
"Thanks, but we didn't do it alone. We had some help." Ghost-Spider referring to Cloak and Dagger.
"With Dr. Marshall gone, the research has stopped, most likely Silvermane won't be able to continue this experiment ever again." George Stacy says to the heroes.
"What's going to happen to them?" Spider-Man referring to the runaways.
"We'll get them medical attention and place them in foster care. As for the deceaseds, we'll see to it that they each get a proper burial, they can at last be in peace." George Stacy tells the heroes.
"Thank you." Spider-Man tells George Stacy.
"Yeah, thank you." Ghost-Spider tells her dad.
Cloak and Dagger are on a rooftop looking down at the scene. Everyone is being taken care off.
"Looks like we've done our jobs, it's over." Cloak says to Dagger.
"Not quite, Dr. Marshall said that there's another one like us. He's still out there somewhere. This isn't over until we find him." Dagger tells Cloak.
"So you're still going to continue this mission?" Cloak says to Dagger.
"I am, this is now my responsibility." Dagger says to Cloak.
"No, it's our responsibility. If you're going, then I'm coming too." Cloak says to Dagger.
Dagger smiled. "Thank you, Cloak."
"Sure thing, Dagger." Cloak smiled back.
Cloak and Dagger remained partners as they now have a new mission, to find this missing experiment of Simon Marshall.
The next day at F.E.A.S.T., May is doing her job in leading the shelter as the staff are feeding the homeless. Martin Li just returned back to America after he heard about what happened yesterday.
"May, I'm so glad that you're alright." Martin Li is relieved.
"Mister Li, you're back so soon." May is surprised.
"I took the first flight back after I've heard about this incident yesterday. I wanted to see if everyone is fine." Martin Li says to May.
"We're all fine here thanks to the heroes saving the day, no one got hurt." May explained to Martin Li.
"That's good to know. I see that you've managed to run the shelter fine in my absence, clearly I made the right choice in putting you in charge." Martin Li says to May.
The big screen TV in the room is showing the news.
"Approximately 10:07 last night, the NYPD and the local heroes thwarted an illegal operation involving experimenting on runaway teens used as test subjects. The masterminds of this operation are Silvio Manfredi AKA Silvermane, Joseph Martello AKA Hammerhead, and lastly the man responsible for performing the experiment, Dr. Simon Marshall who is now confirmed deceased. Dr. Marshall has been excommunicated from the science committee for his unethical work and behavior."
Martin Li is stunned as he gazed at the TV at the sight of Dr. Simon Marshall, May noticed Martin's behavior.
"Mr. Li, are you alright?" May asking Martin Li.
"I'm fine Mrs. Parker, just fine." Martin Li is still disturbed.
Martin Li walked away from everyone and ended up in the restroom, he turns on the sink and rubs water onto his face. The mere sight of Simon Marshall got to him for some reason.
Later at nighttime, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are on a rooftop with Cloak and Dagger.
"China?" Spider-Man says to Dagger.
"That's right, that's where Dr. Marshall was doing his experiments before us. I know that it's years ago, but maybe we can find something there and pick up the trail." Dagger says to Spider-Man.
"Why do you two need to leave? Dr. Marshall is gone." Ghost-Spider is confused.
"Not his experiment, there's another one like us, we don't know if he's good or bad, but we can't leave this alone. It's our mission to find this person and put an end to all this." Cloak tells the heroes.
"I don't suppose there's anything we can say to change your minds." Spider-Man tells the two.
"This is who we are now. Like you both, we have great powers and we're going to use them for good." Dagger tells the heroes.
"I understand, good luck on your mission." Ghost-Spider says to the two.
The two pairs of heroes shake each other's hands as they're about to go their separate ways.
"Thank you for all your help." Spider-Man tells the two.
"It was our privilege, hope that we team up again someday." Dagger says to the heroes.
"I do too." Ghost-Spider says to the two.
"It's time to go." Cloak says to Dagger.
Cloak and Dagger stepped back as they took one last look at the heroes.
"Till next time." Cloak summoned his Darkforce.
Both Cloak and Dagger teleported away before their eyes, leaving Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider alone on the rooftop. Ghost-Spider has something to say that is uneasy for her.
"Peter, we need to talk?" Ghost-Spider says to Spider-Man.
"Talk? Talk about what?" Spider-Man is confused.
"Please, it's important. Can we do it without our masks." Ghost-Spider says to Spider-Man.
The two heroes pulled up their masks and showed their real faces.
"What is it we need to talk about?" Peter is curious.
"It's about us, being partners and a couple. Peter, I know that you don't accept who I've become, but this is who I am now. I can't go back to being the same girl I was before." Gwen says to Peter.
"I know you won't, it's not easy for me to worry every time you're out there risking your life for others." Peter says to Gwen.
"Sometimes I feel the same way you do when I think about whether you'll make it out alive or not. Clearly you and me can't work together as a couple while being partners. I won't stop being a hero, and I know you won't either. I think that it's best that we end this relationship here and now." Gwen says to Peter.
"You... want to break up with me?" Peter is shocked.
"No, I don't. I love you more than you can ever imagine. But right now, I'm not so sure that what's best for me is the same as what's best for us. I'll still work with you as your crime fighting partner, but we still can't be a couple working together constantly worrying for each other. Do you understand?" Gwen tells Peter.
Peter sighed. "I understand."
Gwen is saddened. "Then we agree, this is over."
"It's over... this needs to end." Peter is saddened too.
"It already has... I'm... sorry." Gwen walked away.
She puts her mask back on and jumps off the rooftop, Peter watched as she swings away, he teared up as his romantic relationship with Gwen Stacy has ended.
