The silence of the Hospital wing was eerie as she sat there next to one of her best friends. She hadn't known what would come by sneaking out with the help of Lily and James, the first also sneaking out as well. But here she and Lily sat dozing off as they waited for Dite to awake. The girls knew what she was doing and trying to accomplish. Even before Dite had confided in them about her dreams about the mysterious pool and the whips that guide her. Alice had known that Dite wanted to prevent what she had seen in her dreams before it came to be. Sure she wasn't sure what Dite had seen but it must have been horrible enough that she would put herself into harms way.

Alice and their friends had known that Dite and Regulus where accompanying Dumbledore on a mission that took them off the grounds of the school. She knew that the fates had shown her a way to prevent a massive wizarding war, and that these items where important. But finding out hours earlier that Dite had been attacked on the mission scared her. Seeing that the girl was still uncurious since the healer has her in an induced comma to prevent any further damage worried what was done. Regulus who was also injured explained that they where in the middle of finding an artifact when a group of wizards ambushed them.

Flash Back;

Alice, Lily and the Marauders sat at the Gryffindor table enjoying the predicament that Frank was placed in by a prank the boys had played on him. The boys thought it would be great to try out their voice altering potion and added fine glitter which they had some how cohered a first year muggleborn into getting sent to them into his body wash. So with Frank's voice going through puberty again and having gold glitter all over his body. Nothing was unusual happening that morning at breakfast, at least until Professor McGonagall came to be standing behind Lily and Alice. Looking at the older woman's face, the girls could see that her worry lines where even deeper, that she had dark bags under her eyes as well. Like the Professor spent the inter night awake.

"As amusing as it is this morning seeing that you all seem to be having a bight morning, I need you to fallow me to the Hospital wing." Was all their Head of House said.

One look from each other they all stood up and fallowed the Professor. Alice heard Sirius tease Frank that he left a glitter mark on the bench, Frank groaned at the teasing. Lily caught Alice's eye as she tapped her finger on her elbow as she walked with her arms crossed.

"I wonder if its to do with Dite." Lily whispered.

"Maybe, she wasn't in the dorm this morning." Alice whispered back.

"They where with the Headmaster wasn't she?"

"Yes she and Regulus."

As the group came to the doors of the Hospital wing, Professor McGonagall stopped before turning to them. The friends could feel the wards that where placed on the doors meant to keep everyone out, as if there was something they where hiding. They stood there a moment before their Professor decided to speak to them.

"I want to warn you of what you may see. Miss. Prewett had been injured last night and is under a induced comma that Madam Pumfry is watching at the moment. They came up against a few Death Eaters on the mission they where on. Regulus wasn't injured as badly as he is awake when I came to collect you all. We are not sure how much damage was inflicted on Miss. Prewett but she was in a lot of pain when Dumbledore brought her back."

Hearing this, Alice's worry began to increase. She was worried that a Death Eater had sent a curse that was unknown to anyone but their family. If that is true then it could be someone from any family. Most Ancient families had spells that only those who where born into the family would know. Just like some families where drawn to certain aspects of the wizarding world, like the Black family, they are drawn to the Dark arts as the Olivander family is drawn to wand lore. Her own family are known to be proficient in charms. It is out of familiarity that their magic is drawn to and such those families have certain spells, charms, curses, or hexes that only the Head of House, Heir or a select few of the family knew. Or if it wasn't a curse, it could have been a creature that is responsible for the state of her friends pain. She had heard whispers from others about an increases of werewolf attacks in the last few weeks in the more remote areas of the Wizarding world and Muggle world of Britain. There where many creatures that can inflict a lot of pain. They watched as Professor McGonagall brought the wards down enough for them to pass through the door. Alice noting the wand movements of her Professor, knowing that she would visit later.

They walked in to seeing Regulus sitting up while Madam Pumfry checked his healing. The boy was with out a shirt, and there where what looked like claw marks on his chest. She heard Remus hiss air at the look of those claw marks. When he showed the healer his arm, they saw a bite mark as well. She looked over where Dite lay, unconscious. Alice noticed that what courses Dite was hit with left what looked like purple spider vines on the side of her neck and cheek, she also looked to have purple scorch marks on her arms. Alice racked her brain to where the scorch marks came from, she could only think of the Purple scaled Firedrake. Those drake's are different then the other firedrake, as the Purple scaled Drake was infused with extremely dark magic that changed it's normally red scales to a dark purple and its fire also became dark.

"Well you all can ask what had happened. I'll explain it as much as I can." Regulus spoke once both Professor McGonagall and Madam Pumfry left them.

"What in the Bloody Hell Happened?" Sirius hissed looking between the two beds.

"Dumbledore left us to deal with Grayback, Nott Sir., Dolohov Sir. and Yaxley Sir. Honestly Dite was doing great handling both Dolohov and Yaxley. Nott went after Dumbledore as I kept Grayback distracted." Regulus began to explain.

Alice noted that Remus looked sick at the mention of Grayback being there. Their group of friends have known about his affliction for many years, it didn't change how they say their friend. Remus was nothing like other werewolves he was never driven by blood lust or anything that was behind Graybacks thirst.

"Why did Dumbledore leave you to fight against 4 Death Eaters? One of which was a mad raving werewolf?" James asked angrily.

Over the years that Dite had attended Hogwarts, even though he was wary of her at first, she had become a little sister to the Potter boy. James was more protective of Dite then the others. Alice wasn't sure why that was, but it was curious to be honest.

"He was searching for the Horcrux that resided in the place we where ambushed at. He suggested it before hand, I honestly thing that it was slightly planned, but I have no evidence that it was. Dite blasted Dolohov threw a wall unleashing a swarm of Purple Firedrakes, Grayback took the distraction and did the damage you see here. " Regulus gestured to his arm and torso. " The bastards disapperated after perfectly timed stinging hexes stung the drakes before more damage was done to Dite. Then we where brought here and still being healed."

"You are hunting Horcrux's? Those are dark artifacts." Sirius stared in disbelief.

"They've already acquired two, now three. But now the Dark Lord knows that they are, which just made this mission more deadly." Lily spoke from her spot next to Dite.

"You knew Lily?" James turned to her eyes dark.

"No need to be angry with Lily James Fleamont Potter. Dite told us incase something where to happen to her." Alice snapped.

Frank came up behind Alice and wrapped his arms around her to comfort her. Frank, Remus and Peter she could tell were angry just like James and Sirius but they where not voicing it as they waited to see who was to blame. From Alice's point of view it was their Headmaster that was to blame. Dite told her and Lily that she couldn't 100 % trust their headmaster with all the information that she knew. Not after the few times that he tried to force his way into her mind. Or after he continued to put pressure on her parents to place her in a safe house away from everyone and he would only have access to. Dite's parents even didn't trust him, but he was one of the most powerful wizards in the world after he took down Grindlewald before the Dark Lord came to play. Now they weren't sure if Regulus was a werewolf as it wasn't the full moon, or that Dite will wake up soon.

End of Flash back;

Grayback has been reported to have found away to infect others with out being completely werewolf. But none knew if it was true. So Regulus would have to be monitored the next full moon incase he does transform. She hoped that Dite will wake up before that. They had about 4 months before NEWTS and then Graduation. Alice herself decided to become an Aura like Frank, James and Sirius while Lily was planning to be a healer and Dite thought of Curse Breaking, while Peter spoke of working in wand lore, and they where unsure of Remus as his affliction didn't give him much options. All great as they all are unique to each person. Lily was amazing at healing charms, James, Sirius and Frank all very justice oriented as they have frustrated spoke of putting those bastards away that have done this to their family. Dite could unravel many different charms in a blink of an eye. Peter had always been fascinated by how different everyone's wands where compared to his own.

But at the moment Alice wanted nothing more to see all her friends make it to graduation and to see the summer. She had a feeling that the war would come sooner now that those who fallow the Dark Lord knew that someone knew of the Horcrux's it was a matter of time before he actually came for Dite to have her secrets to himself. And Dumbledore nearly delivered the girl to him as well tonight if he had sent the two of them alone on the mission.
