He watched from the shadows that over cast of a day, as the ladies went about their shopping in the ally. After speaking to the Order and Moody it was agreed that he would fallow but the ladies would go practically alone. It was a show to say the least, it was so that any Death Eaters would see that they weren't going to hide after the mission that the Dark Lord found out what they where hunting. Horcrux hunting was something that was not common as none except Dite knew where they where hidden.
It was only a couple days after his first full moon that he agreed to accompany the ladies to Diagon Ally to get thing they needed to return to school since it was the day before they returned to school to complete their 7th year. 3 days before the moon they had sat threw the Order meeting where many of the older members where tearing Headmaster Dumbledore a new one for how he placed both Dite and himself in danger and getting a student turned into a werewolf for this mission. The Prewetts and Potters seemed to be the angriest about what happened.
Ramus had sat him down when they first began to feel the full moon approaching. The fatigue was setting in for the both of them. He didn't feel like eating at all as the thought of food turned his stomach, but the moment that someone had began to cook he had a wave of hunger pass over him. Ramus had explained that the transformation was going to be extremely pain full, as if he was continuously hit with bloggers over and over. When Regulus asked about taking a pain potion before the transformation, but Ramus explained that the potion wouldn't work as they are magical beings now. The potion would work after the transformation, as James, Lily and Dite where brewing pepper up potions, extra strength potion and dittany the days leading up to the potion. Remus also explained that his senses would be heighten, so being able to hear nearly everything, his sense of smell will be more acute and he'll be able to smell the exact moment when someone changes their shampoo.
After that conversation, everyone expected him to act like Ramus has always after the moon. But he was the complete opposite, instead of being so tired, Regulus was full of energy to the point that he would not sit still. So this was how he was chosen to shadow the ladies on their shopping, along with the known complaint that James, Sirius and Peter hated shopping especially when they went with the opposite sex. Sirius had joked with James that Regulus was like a puppy after the moon, running around the manor the moment that he had woken up. It also was discovered that Regulus's wolf had excepted the other three and Ramus as well.
So here he was tailing Lily, Alice and Dite as they shopped for dresses for graduation as they will be to busy with studying for NEWTS to take time to go to Hogsmead before hand. Lily was trying to get into the healers field, Alice was looking to be an Aura with Frank, James, and Sirius, while Dite was looking to become a Curse Breaker. The girls where also looking for other things like parchment, ink, quills, and treats for their familiars. Regulus had watched Dite pull out a book in Flourish and Blotts on Animagus transformation. He smirked at the thought of her becoming an animagus to help the werewolves that she knew personally. He could guess that James, Sirius and Peter would joke about her breaking the rules about her becoming an unregistered animagus.
As he continued along, he noticed that Avery and Snape had joined tailing the girls, but was more obvious about it. Not sticking to the shadows as much as they could, or trying to not be seen fallowing them. They would stop everytime the girls would right in the middle of a crowed which seemed to be noticed by many of the other witches and wizards that were shopping for their necessities. But this is why they chose to shop with out an order member, to see who would fallow them.
"Avery, why did you in list my help in this endeavor of yours?" Snape asked bored as they fallowed the girls.
"Figured you may want to know what your Mudblood was up to." Avery laughed as he waver off Snape's question.
Regulus watched as Snape's fists balled up for a moment before he relaxed them. It looked as though the used of that word disturbed him for a moment before Snape's logic and mask came back into place.
"She isn't my Mudblood Avery." Snape sneered at his fellow Slytherin.
Regulus chuckled at that, Snape still cared for Lily even when she ended the friendship after the lake incident that Snape called her that. Snape still watched her while at school and he had asked before break to watch out for Lily even though they were not friends. Regulus could see that Snape was already to far into the Death Eaters even though he may not have taken the mark yet.
"Oh so you didn't used to fallow the bird around like a lost puppy after you called her a Mudblood?" Avery shrugged with a smirk.
"An Obvious lack of judgment on my part." Snape drawled out threw his clenched teeth.
Seeing Snape's reaction to what was happening between them, Regulus had a thought. That maybe they may have an in to get into the Malfoy Estate to get the Diary that the Malfoy's protected for the Dark Lord. They also might be able to gain access to the cup and Locket as well; since the cup will be in Bellatrix's position and the locket has yet to be given to anyone from what the fates have spoken to Dite. Regulus could also imagine that if Dite hadn't come when she did, he would have been forced to take the mark last year when his parents tried to kill his brother so that he could become the heir of the house of Black. Hell he may be in over his head in the Death Eaters by now. But that wont happen now that he has Dite near. Sure he would have joined to protect his brother but that wouldn't right all the wrongs that he would have to do as a Death Eater.
When he found out that Dite was thrown back by the fates, she told him that she learned that Snape was a spy for Dumbledore in her time. That may be something that could happen even though no one at this moment distrusted the old coot for the events that have happened thus far. Regulus maybe able to persuade Snape to spy for him other then Dumbledore. As a Black he wasn't above using the fact that he was keeping an eye on Lily for the older boy against him. This was war after all and Regulus was sure that the Dark Lord would use more then this little bit of blackmail against every one of his followers in due time. Hell he had heard a rumor that those that were the original Death Eaters promised their own blood to the Dark Lord.
"Why have they decided to visit the Apothecary now? None of them are up for a mastery in Potions." Avery asked snidely.
"Obviously they are re-stocking their ingredients for school and NEWTS studying Avery." Snape sneered back.
"Still its not like any of them are that great at potion making." Avery shrugged.
That was a bloody wrong statement, as two of the three girls are top of their class when it comes to potions aside from Snape who Slughorn sees as a prodigy in Potions. Regulus could never imagine what the wizarding world would be like if more families had talented witches and wizards born into their families. But that's what happens when you interbreed with your own family he guessed. He wasn't 100% sure that he and Sirius are completely sane as Bellatrix was completely off the deep end. Narcissi went from living under her father's thumb to being under Louise's. Andromida was the only one he thinks was normal in their family.
"Honestly don't see what could make them wand to follow that fool of a headmaster blindly." Aver spoke in exasperation.
"Potter and Black might be, but I honestly don't think these three are Avery." Snape said as they watched the girls grow uncomfortable when they where approached by Dumbledore who seemed to be out in the Ally as well.
Regulus could see that the three of them placed their fake smiles on their faces as they took part in a short conversation with the headmaster. It looked like an conversation the Headmaster would have with anyone in public but Regulus could hear the conversation. Dumbledore speaking to them about watching their backs while out in public as many may hear things that could cause issues with any plans they may have in the future. Regulus rolled his eyes, a habit he picked up from Dite when something was spoken that she either knew or something that was common sense to her. He watched as the girls said their good byes and continued towards Leaky Caldron to head home. Avery and Snape also had given up their mission of following the girls after Dumbledore looked straight at them as the small group spoke to each other.
Smirking at what he knew, he to headed towards the exit of the Ally, in hopes to get back and see where Dite stood on taking to Snape. Maybe trying to get the other teen to join them so that they could destroy the other horcrux's before The Dark Lord tried to get his hands on Dite once again. Also he was curses to the ingredients they had purchased at the Apothecary as majority wasn't needed for the potions that they learned in school to make, one of the rarer ingredients they purchased being Wolfs vain.
