TRIGGER WARNING!!!
Child torture/abuse mentioned
Hello Lovs!
Hopefully you all enjoyed the last few chapter Updates. I will apologies if this chapter becomes a trigger for anyone. I had tried to write this one as clean with only mentions of the events in this chapter. Though I couldn't entirely write it off without it. Hopefully you all enjoy it!
That night was grim as he watched along with the other young Death Eaters as children were hauled in front of the Dark Lord by Avery's father. These children in Avery's father's eyes were guilty of steeling magic from magical families. But he did not believe that himself. Avery Sr. was a man clouded by his anger and older beliefs. Such as the belief that muggle born or mudbloods steel magic to enter their world. Watching as 6 children around the age of 5 years old cry their yes out as his father stood there like he was triumphant in apprehending these magic steelers. They were toddlers not adults, Snape did not join this organization to torture children. But at the moment he had to stand there next to Robert Avery, Agustus Rookwood, Barty Crouch Jr., and Alrick Parkinson, all fellow classmates' people he attended school with the previous 7 years of his life. Glancing at a few of them he noticed that some were struggling to hide the ill feeling that they were feeling by watching, a few looked gleeful, others showed no emotions.
Older Death Eaters looked as though they did not feel anything for what is about to happen. He suspected that some of them helped Avery Sr. track and kidnap these children, if not kill their parents. Glancing up at the Dark Lord, who sat on his ornate chair in the center of the room, their esteemed leader looked as though he was both bored and intrigued at what was unfolding in front of him. Snape had seen many things happen at these meetings, he had to kill a muggle in front of the dark lord for instance when he was branded a Death Eater. Snape knew from a younger age that he would be joining the Dark Lord to serve him because as a Slytherin it was expected even if you did not fully agree. This man before him bragged to him about how much of a honor it was to serve the Dark Lord. The man who will show the wizarding world where their place was in the world. Ruling over the muggles as if they were house elves. Sure, Snape agreed that they were superior to muggle-borns, but watching as these children cry and whimper for their parents and no one listening was hard to watch.
Snape Knew that this was wrong, even before his civilized conversation with Lily and Prewett. Learning that the rumor that the chit could communicate with the Fates was true. He could see why the man in front of him wants information on the chit and to somehow sawed her to their side. He knew from the conversation that she would never be sawed to their side. She would die before that happened. Prewett was giving him a choice between two paths that she saw him on. Even with him being rude and snide with the girl at school, it was astonishing that she even thought to give him the choice to decide.
Even before she told him on the two paths, she healed him with the potions needed to get over the torture curse that he was in pain from the last meeting he attended. She didn't ask for anything for her kindness like so many other Slytherins that only were kind if it benefitted them. Prewett only asked to be told which path he was choosing to go down. One path would lead him to the guilt of Lily's death as well as his own death at the age of 38 at the hands of the Dark Lord. The other path she spoke of was one he didn't believe would be possible.
Snape becoming the spy hero that was respected not the potions teacher that was feared by all students he taught. A path that he was no longer under the thumb of the Dark Lord or Dumbledore. He had been thinking long and hard about which path he wanted to walk along. His decision was made as he watched these children be tortured and those around him laugh at their pain.
"Now that our fun is over. It isn't best to continue this as they wouldn't last long." The Dark Lord smirked seeing the children all laying on the ground whithering in pain.
"But my Lord, There is so much more pleasure to be had with these things." Bellatrix voiced excitedly.
If it was to be believed, Snape heard that Bella had come to posses the grammars of her estranged aunt. The same Aunt that liked to conduct experiments on those unsuspecting around her. The women was one that fell to the Black Madness that many members become in thawed to as the lose their sanity. It was suspected that the Black family traded their sanity and minds to be able to produce heirs to continue the family.
"I appreciate your enthusiasm in wanting to continue the punishment of these children Bellatrix, but they will be missed by those of their flock."
Snape swore he saw the same sort of twinkling light he saw in Dumbledore's eyes in the eyes of the Dark Lord as he spoke to Bella. It was dark and ere to see in those red eyes that belonged to their Lord. The Dark Lord called upon another Death Eater to obliviate all the children's minds, save for one. The one he chose was a young boy, he was the one that never called out while they held them under the torture curse. When asked what was going to happen to the boy, the Dark Lord laughed.
"He is to be left in Grayback's territory as a peace offering. The beast will be more willing to chat if I leave him a gift."
Those words made Snape's stomach turn at the thought of the child being left to the mercy of a Werewolf. Not just any werewolf, but the only one that purposely attacked children and gave control fully to the beast that lived inside him. Snape was terrified of werewolves as he came into contact with one in his fifth year. He was drawn to the beast by Black all for the purpose of getting revenge on him.
"Those with the will and strength to change things will, those to afraid to will stay as they are." Prewett's spoken words to Potter, when the man questioned her on the possibility that Snape would not help.
The rest of the meeting was by far less grueling then the beginning. Listening to those who wish to join their cause where brought up to the Dark Lord as possible recruits. The plans in the Ministry discussed as well. Snape was waiting for this to be over to inform Prewett of the plans for the boy, in the hopes that they will be able to save him from his fate with the werewolf. At the end as he was about to leave, the Dark Lord called to him and Avery to stay behind.
"I have a task that I need a House-elf for." The Dark Lord explained.
"If he asks for a house elf call Willow, she will help you." Prewett's words came to him.
So It has happened.
NEEKAH; Yes it is quite a change from his entrance to the end of the meeting. I wanted to continue the slight bashing that has happened through out this store. Along with his frustration in his change of plans. Lol glade you enjoyed.
