Hello Loves!
I hope that you all loved the last chapter. We are headed towards the end of the Dark Lord. I'm hoping that after this Chapter update that I can finish the battle, but we will have to wait and see. I'm not very good at writing dual seans, hopefully you all forgive me for that. Hope you all Enjoy and I cannot say how grateful I am to all of your support while this story unfolded. I was not expecting this story to be as successful as it has been.
Enjoy!
After her run in with Malfoy, Dite came up to the door that led to the Hall of Records, which happened to be left open a jar. As if someone entered just before she got there. She knew that it had to have been the Dark Lord that had gotten there before her. If it wasn't for her dual with Malfoy she could have gotten there before he had and able to get the Keeper out of there. Taking a breath to settle her nerves, she silently casted charms to mask her presence and her footsteps to anyone already inside. When she entered, she couldn't help but gasp at the columns of records that lined the walls of the room and path ways they created. She knew from talking to Sophia, that the Hall of Records recorded every birth, adoption and death with in the magical world. The bindings of the records would go from a burgundy to a black once a family would die out, which was interesting to her when she heard about that. Which got her thinking that what if a squid line came back, would the bindings change again or would it be the beginning of a new family line. But now wasn't the time to look.
As she creped through the records, Dite knew that the keeper was far from safe, even with the vow they take when chosen to be the keeper by their predecessor. The vow was a cross between the vow Unspeakable's take and an Unbreakable vow.
The Vow prevents them from turning any family records over to anyone that has malicious intent to harm the family. As she made her way towards the center of the hall, she began to hear voices speaking.
" I want those records Woodrow." A voice Dite recognized sneered.
"I am unable to hand those over." Another voice spoke.
"I do not care about any vows you have taken, I want the records to the Prewett family and Meadows family."
Dite hid down the row of records closest to the pair. It looked as though the Dark Lord was alone with the Keeper Woodrow. The Keeper looked to be close to the age of 60 from the little she could see of him. But the Dark Lord changed from the young man she had meat to look as though he was older then Professor McGonigal now. His hair was gray and he had many wrinkles adoring his face. She suspected that when they destroyed the Horcruxes it caused him to age prematurely. But again no one knows the effects of destroying seven pieces of ones soul they hid to become immortal. It had never been studied as, the creation of horcrux's had been banded due to the nature of them.
"Again, I cannot touch those records."
"Then I guess your usefulness has ran its course."
As the Dark Lord moved to cast the killing curse, Dite threw up a shielded ward against the unforgivable, and stepped out from her hiding space.
"I knew you were one for killing others yourself before anyone else knew." She spoke as she held her wand up pointed straight at him.
"My, my, Mis. Prewett, I'm delighted you could join us." He spoke, a grin forming on his lips.
"Well I couldn't let you destroy the world of magic as the Fates predicted." She sighed as if her being there was supposed to be normal.
"Yes, the fates you so believe in."
"You have caused an unbalance in the magic that we believe in Tom."
"How do you know that?" He asked sneering at her.
"I know many things that the Fates have told me. One being that you will never win Tom Riddle, not now and not in the future. You die like everyone else." Dite said, never taking his eyes off Tom Riddle.
She watched as his eyes filled with Hate and fear. Hate for knowing he will never win, hate for the name his mother gifted him, hate for her as she stood there telling him what the fates have told her. The fear was for knowing that no matter what he planned, he would still die. Dite knew that in her past life, Tom Riddle was afraid to die, that dyeing was the one thing that magic could not control.
"The Fates are wrong little Oracal." He casted a spell towards her.
"The fates are the ones that placed me here, decided that I would be born, they gave me the information to stop you before all magical blood was destroyed."
A dual ensued, and Dite could see that his magic wasn't as strong as it should be at his age. It was like the effect of destroying his soul caused more then his rapid aging. She was stronger then him. She quickly disarmed him, which caused him to look at her with wide eyes filled with hatred. Dite fallowed that by binding him to a chair she conquered up.
"I will kill you and everyone you hold dear." He spat at her.
"Tom, the thing is you wont be here much longer. You see your magic core is destroyed after splitting your soul into pieces and then those pieces being destroyed. Your no more powerful then a first year at Hogwarts. The Fates though you would lead the world to peace, but because of your hatred you led it to chaos." She spoke going to pick up his wand.
"You know, I saw you killed because you wanted to kill a child not more then a year old, because you did not understand the Love a mother had for her child. I saw you become a half human living off another; yes you regain your own body but you lost the look of being human at all when you do." Dite gave him information of the future as if the Fates gave it to her. Some of it was given by the Fates, and some she lived through.
he lived through knowing that this man possessed a teacher and drank the blood of a unicorn. She lived through him opening the Chamber of Secrets through possessing her friend Ginny Weasley. She watched what the knowledge of knowing how your parents where killed at away at Harry even though he tried not to show in. While she though of everything she lived through in both times she silently casted the spell she learned from Lord Blacks library.
The spell she learned would trap his soul in the afterlife, never to be reborn again to another. Many books she had read looking for a spell to prevent him from ever living again, she learned that many older wizards and witches believed that their souls would be reincarnated into a future time. One had created a spell to cast ones soul into oblivion never to be reborn again.
As she came back to stand Infront of Tom Riddle, she felt Regulus's presence come up behind her. She felt more reassured that casting this spell was the right thing to do. After debating with Lily, James, Sirius, Remus, Alice and Frank you believed that he would be reborn to a family that would love him. She knew that it was right, after her conversation about the spell with the fates. They too never saw a time where this soul would do as they originally though it would when it was born.
Regulus raised his wand as he stood next to her. They both began chanting the spell which had to be spoken out load 5 time after the 5 times spoken silently. Which is why it takes a bit to complete and why she created a new binding spell that she used.
Animae mors,
Oblivioni vinculum,
Numquam alius nasci potest.
Animae mors,
Oblivioni vinculum,
Numquam alius nasci potest.
Animae mors,
Oblivioni vinculum,
Numquam alius nasci potest.
Animae mors,
Oblivioni vinculum,
Numquam alius nasci potest.
Animae mors,
Oblivioni vinculum,
Numquam alius nasci potest.
As they chanted the spell the last time, they watched at the skin on the man before them turned white in color. The eyes that were bright Green changed to a white as well. The spell had taken his soul and bonded the life of it to the oblivion. Regulus sneered at the soulless man as he casted the killing curse, when he did Dumbledore and others came through the door to see what had happened.
"Tom Riddle, I did not wish this on you when I met you." Dumbledore spoke.
The others sighed in relief that the battle was done. But now they had to face the tracking down those fallowers that fled during the battle.
Translation: Death to Soul, Bond to oblivion, Never to be born another.
