It was a lovely Saturday morning when Sasuke and Kakashi passed each other on the road. Sasuke was on his way to wake Naruto for their scheduled training in the Death Forest while the Copy Cat Ninja had just gone for a walk to escape from Gai's endless speeches about something - he had stopped listening once Gai opened his mouth.
Anyway, Sasuke stared at his old sensei, wonder what that twinkling in his eye was for and why that smirk that would have been undoubtedly found under his mask was there. As Kakashi continued to smile and eye-twinkle, the Uchiha continued to get more confused and more cautious. Usually, the Hatake would have just continued walking or would have said something. But today, he was being suspiciously quiet.
"Ohayo, Sasuke-kun," said Kakashi as his unseen smile grew. Sasuke became even more concerned when he noted that he was fiddling with something in his pocket.
"Hn."
The two continued to stare at each other until Sasuke decided he didn't want to play his sensei's games and began to walk away. Besides, he knew if he didn't wake Naruto up soon, the Kyuubi container would insist they stop for ramen before heading out because his favorite stand would be open.
However, before Sasuke had taken more than five steps away from the scarecrow, something collided with his back. While usually he would have been able to dodge such an attack, he hadn't been expecting his sensei to jump him. The two wrestled for a bit until Kakashi rolled off his student and said "all done" before walking away and whistling.
Knowing that more time had been wasted, Sasuke silently seethed. Fortunately, there weren't many people up and out yet this morning, so he was able to reach Naruto's home without further incident.
After he knocked on the wooden door, though he didn't know why he bothered since Naruto never locked his door anyway, he stood there for a second before the door was opened by the blonde. Naruto stared bleary eyed at Sasuke before something registered in his mind.
"Sasuke-teme, I didn't know you were trying a new hair style."
"Hn. I'm not dobe." Naruto was confuzzled now, his sleep logged brain still having trouble functioning.
"Then why do you have a bunch of pink bows in your hair?" Sasuke was about to reply that he didn't, but when he reached up to his hair for proof, his hand struck something. Pulling down, only one name came to Sasuke's lips as he saw something pink sparkle in his line of sight.
"KAKASHI!"
