"Hypnotized" (Mark's POV)

The first time we met, I was immediately drawn to him. I had just moved into the loft, and Collins introduced me to him. My heart didn't just skip a beat, it completely stopped, for what seemed like an eternity. There he was, on the couch with a guitar in his hands, his short, dirty blonde hair spiked up; well, he sure looked like a rocker. He looked up at me, his dark eyes going right through me.

"You must be Mark. I'm Roger"

He held out his hand, and I quickly reached out and shook it...Though I had barely comprehended what he had said. Collins smiled at me, and there was a strange looked in his eyes when he said

"Well, I'll leave you two to get acquainted"

And with that, he walked out the door. I must've stood there for a long time, because Roger smiled at me awkwardly and moved to the side of the couch.

"Feel free to sit down…You do live here, you know"

I laughed nervously and nodded, sitting next to him on the couch. Though I didn't notice for a good five seconds, Roger was speaking again.

"I hope you don't mind if I practice for a while"

It took a moment, but I realized he was referring to his guitar. I nodded shyly in response.

"No, go ahead"

He nodded, pulling his guitar further onto his lap. I watched closely as he played the instrument, watched closely as he got lost in himself. And slowly, I got lost, too. I knew Roger was lost because he didn't even seem to notice my presence. I knew I was lost because, without thinking, I leaned forward and pressed my lips to his. Immediately after realizing what I had done, I was scared; scared of rejection, disgust…But Roger only smiled at me. It was almost as if that smile changed my life. Soon, we were the only ones left in the loft. Soon, I told him I loved him. Soon, he told me he loved me, too. I don't know what it is about that Roger Davis, but he had me hypnotized.
