Responses from my last story made me so happy that I wrote another story. I got the inspiration from this after running in class and feeling my heart beat in my ear. It was an odd beat – more like thumpthump, thump. So I was thinking of that, looking out my window, with the Word Processor in front of me, and walla. Reviews make me write faster. Cliché, I know. And thanks to everyone who in the past has reviewed me!

Her heart beat with cobalt gasps, able and earnest. And it would sound in metallic sets, in twitches and whispers of her wrench against his arm and steady paces of her stubborn lifestyle.
Clank. Clank. Twist. Beat.
His heart would sound in a raspy, furious pitch. And it would beat hard against his thought, reminding him of his sins, status, and goals, implying that he was only mortal.
Strike. Strike. Surmise. Beat.
Together their heart beats would support the other, adjoining in rare occasions and sharing a symphony of security and hues of faith over pearly pallets and snowy easels, bleached futures and fate's bulletin of preparation.
They both masked their affliction under veil of euphoria, assuring words of counterfeit "I'll be okay"s and "I promise"s.
But together, they were not alone, and were united as one for a brief second of time.
After all, she needed him.
And he most definitely needed her.
In a way, they kind of were each other's habitual rhapsody.
