Fuutarou quickly rushed down the hill to where the girl was supposedly caught in an accident. Before he even arrived at the scene of the issue, he saw a group of girls rushing toward the one who had been injured. From a distance, he couldn't recognize which one of the five sisters it was but he still was worried sick nonetheless.

The girl had veered off the course and crashed into one of the nearby trees. Depending on how fast she was going when she met her abrupt stop, she could be in great danger. Hopefully, nothing too bad happened.

Fuutarou was already pretty exhausted when he arrived at the scene. A circle had formed around the tree where the girl was laying. Her face was dusted with snow, probably shaken from the branches after her impact.

The students around her just stood there, not knowing what to do, panicking and muttering amongst themselves. "What should we do? What if she's hurt?" "We gotta do something!"

Fuutarou pushes the students to the side so he could get through and kneels down right beside the prone body. He quickly removes all of the snow and reveals the face of the sister involved. It was Itsuki.

"Oh my god, Itsuki! Are you okay? What happened?" Fuutarou shouts frantically as he tries to find out if she was even awake. Itsuki slowly opens her eyes and with a very weak and quiet voice, she mumbles. "F-Fuutarou..."

"I'm here, Itsuki. Don't worry, you're gonna be alright!" He takes off one of his gloves and touches her face with his bare hand to see how cold she got, nearly hissing at the sudden chill. "Oh my god, you're freezing. We've gotta warm you up!"

As none of the students around him were in any shape to be of any help, he just lifts Itsuki off the ground himself. He immediately realizes that this wouldn't be easy as not only was he extremely weak but Itsuki also was heavier than he previously thought (he would keep that thought to himself, of course). But he had to do it. He at least had to bring her to the cafe up the hill.

"Are you hurt, Itsuki? Do you feel pain in any part of your body?" He asks frantically while staggering up the hill, wheezing every now and then out of sheer fatigue. His knees trembled, but the teenager gritted his teeth and pushed forward. There were more important things to be worried about.

"My kn...kn...knees and legs hurt and I-I-I'm very cold..."

"Don't worry. I'm sure it's just a small injury." Fuutarou knew that it probably was more than just a small wound, it probably was way more than that, but since he wanted to calm Itsuki down, he didn't tell her about it. There was a time for being blunt, and there was a time for being accommodating.

Finally, after what had felt like an eternity, more students caught up to Fuutarou and helped him get Itsuki to the cafe. There, they had already prepared blankets to warm her up and even a first aid kit to help treat her wounds.

After taking off her skiing equipment, a series of small cuts were littered across her arms and legs, but those were easily treatable. Nothing too severe but since her knees were hurting, she could have also broken a bone.

Itsuki was brought into a separate room in which they could wait for the ambulance to arrive. Naturally, Fuutarou tagged along and sat next to the bed she was lying in. He was still worried sick for Itsuki, even though he knew that she was now in safety and wasn't in danger anymore. It wasn't logical, in any way, shape, or form. Still, he worried.

Itsuki on the other hand was surprisingly happy despite the series of unfortunate events that had just occurred. Yes, she had crashed full speed into a tree, but Fuutarou had done everything in his power to help her as soon as he arrived. He rushed to her, made sure she was okay and brought her to a safe place without hesitation. He was her hero.

"Does it still hurt? If you need anything, just tell me and I'll go get it." Fuutarou was trying his best to keep his voice level, but both of them could hear the quiver in his words.

Itsuki giggles and a bright smile forms on her face. "I already told you, I don't need anything. You're already doing more than necessary."

"Alright, alright. Just tell me if you need something." Fuutarou wanted to make sure Itsuki was okay though she would always politely decline everything he offered to do for her.

"Say, what exactly happened earlier? Did you lose control?" Itsuki's face heats up and she starts clinging to the bedsheet very nervously. Obviously, the reason for her accident wasn't that she had lost control but rather that she hadn't been focused in the first place. And when she realized that she was moving closer to one of the trees, it was already too late. It was just too embarrassing to tell him that!

She remained quiet, not wanting to look stupid in front of Fuutarou. Fuutarou, still awaiting his answer, sighs and shakes his head. "Okay, is it just me or are you avoiding me all of a sudden? You didn't talk to me all morning, ignored me when I tried to say hello, and now you can't even give me an answer. Did I do something that upset you?"

"N-No, I didn't mean to avoid you! Y-You didn't do anything wrong. I'm really sorry!" Itsuki frantically responds as her face takes on the color of a ripe tomato. She was extremely nervous and this situation was embarrassing for her to say the least.

"It's just that...ever since we went on the class trip, something was on my mind, and I was constantly thinking about it. It was stuck in my head for so long…it must've affected me more than I thought it did." Fuutarou blinked at the answer, mulling over it in his head before putting the pieces together.

"Does it have something to do with me? Was that the reason that you've been avoiding me?" Itsuki pauses and takes a few seconds to think about it before nodding shyly.

"The reason that I crashed into the tree previously is that I tried to clear my head by riding down the ski slope but I just couldn't stop thinking about it, I just couldn't focus at all! And then before I even noticed, I was already crashing into the tree."

Fuutarou gently puts his hand on Itsuki's shoulder and smiles at her. "You know, you can always talk to me if something is bothering you. I may not be very good at helping to solve the problem but studies show that even just speaking to someone about your problems helps to reduce your stress about it."

Itsuki laughs and the red color on her face slowly disappears until only a light pink blush was visible. "Always acting like a tutor, teaching me new things whenever you can."

The teenager nervously looks down and mumbles to herself. "T-The thing that has been bothering me this whole time is..."

"Hm?"

Itsuki looks up and starts staring directly into Fuutarou's eyes. "Do you want to dance with me tonight?"

"Alright, I think it's for the best if I break up with him first. He'll probably be really angry at me but once I'm gone, you can go to him and tell him that you love him. I'm sure that it will work out. We just have to believe in ourselves!" Ichika smiles at Matsui who still was pretty nervous because of the whole situation.

They had been looking for Maeda for quite a while and had finally found him near one of the ski lifts, standing there alone.

"Are you sure that you want to do this? What if it goes wrong and he gets really mad at you? He won't ever agree to go out with me!" Matsui mumbles anxiously and looks at the ground.

"Believe in yourself, Matsui. You are a sweet girl and if you show him what a great person you are, he'll never say no!" Ichika giggles, gently grabs Matsui's hands, and looks her into the eyes. "Let's do our best!"

Ichika sighs, turning around and putting her game face back on before approaching Maeda. Once he saw her, he started to smile and a slight blush appeared on his face.

"Good morning, Ichika-san. Are you already excited about our dance tonight?" Maeda asks in a very polite and cautious tone. You could clearly see that he was nervous because he never had a girlfriend before.

"Yeah, well...Maeda, there is something we have to talk about..." With the tone of her voice, Ichika made it already clear that something wasn't right. Maeda noticed this and panicked a bit, hoping that it wasn't a big problem. "Huh, what is it?"

Ichika hesitated for a few seconds, only to look him directly into his face with a sad expression on hers. "You see, Maeda, I can't go out with you..."

Maeda gasps and shakes his head. He just couldn't accept that this was true. "W-What? What are you even talking about?"

"Maeda, when you asked me out, I was very nervous and couldn't figure out what to tell you. I didn't want to hurt you and since you wanted me to give you an answer, I just said yes, hoping that everything would turn out to be okay but...I just can't go out with you..."

Suddenly, the look on Maeda's face would drastically change. He looked furious. Maeda ground his teeth, slipping back into his usual way of speaking. "Dude, so you tell me that I asked you out only to get dumped after not only one day? I gathered all of my strength and courage for this, ya know!" Maeda turned away, fists clenched tight as he stomped on the ground.

Trying to comfort him, Ichika slowly approached him and gently put one of her hands on his shoulder. "Maeda, I'm sorry-"

Maeda pushes Ichika's hand off his shoulder and sighs in a sad tone. "Just go away, will ya?" Ichika steps back and leaves the teenager alone, only to return to Matsui who looked very worried.

"Oh, he looks mad. I think I should just leave him alone and wait until he's in a good mood-" She tries to turn away and retreat, only to get interrupted by Ichika, who grabbed her hand and smiled at her.

"Now or never. I know you can do it." Ichika pushes Matsui toward Maeda and leaves the scene afterward, hiding behind a wall.

Matsui approaches the brooding teenager hesitantly but plucks up the courage to stretch out a hand and tap Maeda on the shoulder. "M-Maeda...? C-Can I talk to you for a second...?"

Maeda turns around and sighs as he sees Matsui standing in front of him. "What is it, Matsui? I'm kinda in a bad mood right now, you know."

"I-I-I just wanted to ask you s-something...it's r-really important..." Matsui's face heated up pretty quickly and she started to fiddle with her fingers.

"Hm?"

"I...I..." Matsui looks at the ground nervously, not being able to say a single word without panicking and stuttering. But she knew that if she backed out right now, things would remain the same as they were before. She took a deep breath, looked Maeda directly into the eyes, and with all of her gathered confidence, she speaks.

"I'm in love with you Maeda! Please, will you dance with me tonight?"

The same evening, all the students, the teachers, and even some staff members of the hotel they were staying at gathered around a huge pile of wood where the bonfire was to be lit. The bonfire they would dance around.

All of the five Nakano sisters had sat down on a wooden bench nearby to wait for the dance to begin.

"God, why couldn't Kintarou just come here and dance with me, tonight? It could have been so romantic but instead, I have to wait here and watch all of the other couples dance around the fire!" Nino sighs as nobody had asked her out to dance.

"Don't be sad, Nino. I'll just sit here with you!" Yotsuba tries to calm her sister since she also didn't get asked out by anyone. "Now that you mention it, what about you, do you have anyone to dance with?" Yotsuba asks whilst looking at the other three girls.

"If things today were like the past couple days, I'd be dancing with Maeda tonight. He asked me out and I agreed even though I didn't like him in a romantic way. But fortunately for me, I found him a partner that suits him much better." Ichika explains and then points at Maeda and Matsui, sitting on another bench on the opposite side of the soon-to-be-bonfire. They both smiled happily, held hands, and seemed to be having an amazing time together. The oldest of the quintuplets smiled softly herself, glad that things had worked out.

"What about you, Miku? Are you dancing with Takeda, tonight?"

Miku nods and starts smiling. "Yes. I hesitated and needed some time to think about it when he asked me out, but I agreed in the end."

"What? Haven't you heard about the legend of the dance?" Nino asks in a slightly angry tone, hoping that her sister wouldn't fall in love with a guy like Takeda.

"Yes, I've heard about it. And I don't care about it at all. It's just a myth." Miku explains just as the bonfire is lit. The couples started standing up and gathered in a circle around the fire. Miku stands up as well and walks up to Takeda who was already waiting for her.

Itsuki had stayed silent for the entire conversation and when the bonfire was lit, she sighed quietly and looked down at the ground. Yotsuba becomes aware of this and puts her hand on her sister's shoulder. "Itsuki? What's the matter?"

"It's nothing..." Itsuki softly answers Yotsuba and turns her head to look around the bonfire as if she was searching for someone.

"Did you ask Fuutarou to dance with you?" Yotsuba asks to which the youngest sister silently nods. "What did he say-?"

"Sorry, I'm a bit late." Yotsuba suddenly gets interrupted by someone. She looks up to the person standing there, in front of their group. Fuutarou stretched out his hand towards Itsuki, a smirk on his face. "May I have this dance?"

In a mere second, the sad expression on Itsuki's face disappeared, replaced by a bright, beautiful smile. Her eyes shimmered as she gently placed her hand into his. "You came..."

"Of course, I came. I know we agreed to meet before the bonfire started but...I had to practice how to dance so I wouldn't trip over my feet. Or step on your toes..." Fuutarou admits as a pink blush forms on his face. Itsuki giggles and stands up, still smiling widely.

Together, the two of them joined the big group of students that were dancing around the fire. Fuutarou gently placed one of his arms around Itsuki's hip while his other hand grasped hers tightly. Itsuki hesitantly places her free hand on her partner's shoulder.

Both of them were clearly nervous. They had never danced before and didn't want to mess anything up. After a few seconds of standing completely still, the two slowly started to dance, just like all the other couples around them were currently doing.

The two of them stayed silent as they didn't want to make the situation more awkward. The only time this silence was broken was when Fuutarou accidentally stepped on Itsuki's foot and apologized to her.

And even though the two of them couldn't even get a single word out of their mouths, Itsuki was unable to stop the thoughts bouncing through her mind.

"Here I am, finally dancing with Fuutarou. I just can't believe that I found the courage to ask him, and he even said yes! I couldn't be happier.

He's the one person that was always been there for me since we transferred to our new school. He helps us out with our studies, he worked hard so that the five of us could look at the fireworks at the festival together and today, he saved me when I crashed into the tree.

He's a real friend and I think I finally know why my heart is beating so fast when I'm near him. I want him to stay by my side forever.

I love you, Fuutarou Uesugi."

The teachers and employees of the hotel watched as the students danced around the bonfire and smiled happily as they saw how much fun everyone was having.

"Say, I've heard from one of the students that there is a legend. When a girl and a boy dance around the fire here, they'll end up falling in love. I know this sounds ridiculous but is that myth true?" One of the teachers asks one of the employees who instantly started to laugh after hearing the question.

"Well, it isn't entirely true. Some people fell in love when they've danced here but we found out that only the ones who truly believed in this legend were guaranteed to fall in love." He explains.

In the end, he was right. Matsui and Maeda may have not believed in the legend but became a couple nonetheless. Neither Miku nor Takeda believed in the legend which is why they didn't fall in love. The only person who truly believed in it was Itsuki.

Nino sighs as she watches her two sisters dance with guys that she didn't like. Ichika had already gone up to their room to grab some sleep so she watched the others with Yotsuba. "Kintarou better ask me out to go dancing with him, next time we meet! He has to make up for tonight."

"Haha...yeah..." Yotsuba mumbles quietly whilst looking at the ground with a sad expression on her face. Her somber attitude immediately catches Nino's attention, and the older quintuplet's expression softens.

"What's wrong, Yotsuba? You've been awfully quiet the last two days. Is something the matter?" Nino asks calmly as she gently puts her hand on her sister's shoulder and tries to comfort her.

"Nino, please keep this to yourself, ok?" Yotsuba mumbles and looks up at the crowd of dancing students. Her eyes had locked on Fuutarou.

"I'll not tell anyone. I promise."

"I...I think that Uesugi-san is the boy I've met in Kyoto five years ago..."
