The day of the Extermination approached. Selena had helped Alastor for half the day as she promised then went to her shrine. She magicked the cleaning and prayed for the souls that would be lost in the next 24 hours. After she went through her ritual for every Extermination Day, she donned her Crimson outfit and prepared for moderating the angels who would enter Hell.
She teleported to Lucifer's office as they did every Extermination Day. Awaiting his Reapers, Lucifer sat in his office chair. He sensed the arrival and began to speak, "As every year, ensure that they don't break into houses with boardings, seals, etc. I want this to be as contained as usual." With that said, he gave a flick of his wrist in the Reaper's sight indicating that they should leave. Without hesitation, the color-guarded Reapers left. Each of them chose various locations and sent familiars to cover the other rings or locations that they themselves could not view. Selena was stationed outside of Pentagram City and sent many sentient foxfires that would cover her designated regions.
Selena looked up and watched as angels descended from High Heaven. The first set looked like humanoid angels. They wore battle helms with X's over one eye and carried their divine weapons in tow. Behind them were two more powerful angels. They were merely Medicums, angels ranked above the more common acolytes that descended. That rise in ranks, though, made their appearance ghastly. One was a fleshy blob-like abomination that was connected to rings made of flesh. The rings surrounded the blob; the rings were covered in eyes. They were ever blinking, ever observing. The other was more akin to a giant with wings in appearance, but it too was covered in these ever watchful eyes. They dispersed throughout the ring. The Medicums gave a motion of acknowledgement towards the Crimson Reaper. It was more of a motion saying "we'll do our part, you do yours." A sentiment Selena agreed with.
For several hours, the extermination commenced as normal. Quite abruptly, a new portal of angels emerged, interrupting the extermination. Selena's foxfire told her it was near the hotel through telepathic communication. Two Archangels came first, followed by Magistratus angels. Magistratus angels were above the Medicum and had a great deal of power on their own. However, they, like the neophyte, acolyte and medicum angels, were human souls. The Archangels were gods original creations. This would prove troublesome. They descended onto their feet and walked into the hotel.
