The hotel had ensured they were completely blockaded to keep angels out. They were intending to ride the day out in their respective rooms with Alastor in the kitchen, when a loud boom erupted from the lobby floor, causing everybody to rush out. They left their rooms planning to get to the kitchen for safety due to it being the most fortified room in the hotel. They all stopped by Alastor's room. When everyone got together, he teleported them; they began fortifying the kitchen further. As the sound of footsteps got closer, everyone ran to the furthest corner with Alastor and Charlie standing in front. The two most powerful demons of the group would take a stand if it were necessary. The footsteps seemed to stop in front of the kitchen door and a loud blast sent the barricade and the door flying off its hinges into the opposite end of the kitchen.

As soon as Selena could, she teleported to the hotel. Rushing past the rubble, she got there as the angels broke into the kitchen. The crimson fighter sent foxfire to burn and root the enemies in place. She used her wind manipulation to place herself between the hotel staff and the angels. The Magistratus angels fell to her foxfire immediately. The archangels merely waved the flames away.

Selena felt Alastor walk closer to her and eventually saw him in her peripherals. Charlie seemed to stay back as the last line of defense. Alastor used his shadow tentacles in an attempt to restrain the remaining angels. However, his efforts failed, and he was cast aside like a ragdoll and smacked against a wall. Selena moved to defend him but barely made it. The blow sent Al flying and broke her mask. The mask fell into shambles on the floor, and the backdraft of the blow removed the hood that covered her hair. If her identity as the Crimson Reaper was going to be outed, she might as well fight comfortably. She chose to remove her concealment magic so she could focus on the fight at hand. Now that her identity was out, her ears and tail became visible. "Auntie?! What are you doing here?" Charlie seemed baffled.

"Just protect them, Charlie. Let me do my job." Selena made eye contact with the archangels. "Now explain to me why you would break the treaty between Lucifer and the High Heavens!" Selena summoned a leaf and tossed it towards the angels. They put up a shield, but the wind blow caused by the leaf managed to cut through the shield and nick one of the angels in the shoulder.

"The Lord God in Heaven has declared the Princess of Hell, Charlotte Morningstar, a threat to the order of creation. He has ordered her to be neutralized in the name of peace and balance. But I wouldn't expect demon scum like you to care nor comprehend the matters of God." He began casting a spell which he then hurled at Charlie. Selena jumped in front of it and screamed in excruciating pain. "Divine power of our Lord affects heretics, demons, and false gods. If you will not allow us to complete our Lord's task, we will exterminate you." A symbol of the cross glowing with a golden hue appeared below Selena. She began screaming in pain again.

Alastor had risen shortly after landing on the wall but was too enamored by their Crimson savior's identity. Did Selena not help today because she was part of this identity? His dishes that were on the remaining table were damn near ruined thanks to these angels' escapades. Selena was taking on the angels' onslaught of holy spells. She screamed in agony. He thought that perhaps she was buying time. He did all he could to summon all the loa under his control, commune with the shadows, and the spirits of voodoo. He used all of this energy into a spell that was meant to bind the angels into place. Once he succeeded in binding them, he summoned his tentacles and had them waylay the angels. Selena's screaming did not stop. After he finished his spells, the angels seemed slightly bruised, but otherwise, no worse for wear. The angels summoned their weapons and impaled Selena. One through the heart. The other through her eye.

She stopped screaming.
