So this week, I have been moving and have no internet. I uploaded this off of my phone so let me know if there are any mistakes so that I might fix them. Thank you for reading!
Charlie began wandering in the woods. The forest was the definition of lively. The lush greenery, browns, and other vibrant colors sent giddiness into the adorable demoness. She continued walking and looking at the forestry until she reached an alcove. A stone sat in the middle of the alcove, it had paintings of various colors but no clear defining shape. Charlie walked to it. The stone had a smooth appearance that she couldn't resist touching. As her hand ran across the smooth stone, a hand touched her. Charlie jumped out of her skin.
A small girl stood on the opposite side of the stone. "Forgive me, Princess Charlotte Morningstar, Charlie, child of Lucifer and Lilith. I didn't mean to frighten you." The girl gave a small smile. "I am the Goddess Neana. Welcome to my forest. It is one of many domains in my Heaven. I hope you like it." She walked around to Charlie.
"I'm sorry. It just looked so smooth." Charlie pulled her hand to herself and turned towards the goddess.
"It's quite alright. Now, my darling child told me that you wanted to speak with me. I usually wouldn't appear before you, but I've been so lonely. Selena is a wonderful, faithful priestess, but I really wanted to hear another voice. So, what can I do for you?" She sat on the rock. She looked expectantly at Charlie.
"I have a lot of questions, but I love it here! It's so colorful and pretty! Are your other domains this colorful? I've never seen this much without a large amount of red to drown it out." Charlie twirled in place and took a deep breath. The air was so clear here. However, she suddenly remembered that she was talking to a goddess. "I'm sorry. Your Eminence." Charlie then gave a bow.
Neana burst into bubbly laughter. "It's alright. Formalities are something for mortals. I don't mind as long as I am respected. To answer your question, yes. Color exists in all of my domains of Heaven. This, however, is by far my favorite. This domain reminds me of my time as a small god with few followers. This stone is a copy of the shrine I dwelled in before I ascended. I will never forget those that gave me my place in Heaven nor will I let their deaths be in vain. Would you like to meet the souls of my Heaven?"
Charlie gave an enthusiastic nod. Soon many light balls appeared in the forest. They all lined up and faintly touched Charlie. She felt their memories, their emotions, their thoughts. It felt wholesome and sweet. "Now tell me, dear, what questions do you have?"
"I know that you want to avenge the souls lost during the war by gaining power to overthrow God. But what do you plan to do with the world after you restore more magic to the human world? What will you do with the hellsent? How strong are your morals? Like since hell is overcrowded due to God's tight list of demands, will yours be worse, easier? Will Hell see a decrease in population? Will you care for the souls brought here? Will you make sure that God being murdered doesn't happen? I mean, I know He faulted you and all, but you can't stoop to His level if you are going to be the next power. I won't let you. The souls of all worlds need to feel safe, and I won't allow anyone to threaten t–" Neana silenced Charlie with her hand.
"I admit that I have selfish reasons for the future. But I will not let a soul suffer if they don't deserve it. I will be as forgiving as their crimes or redemption allow. I believe in necessary darkness in the world. There must be a balance so Hell will have to maintain its role; having said that, I intend to lessen the population by granting them a home here. They shan't want for naught. I am a goddess of duty after all. As for the Judeo-Christian God who has the pride to claim a word used for all for only Himself, I don't know yet. I believe His greatest punishment would be in humiliation though rather than death. Charlie, I will care for your people and the people of humanity. They may not be my original people, but I will shower them with love. The same love Selena gives you. I will not have anyone suffer. Even God's followers will be given a chance. As long as they will give me a chance to show them my love."
"Alright then. But if I find you cruel, unwanting, or as awful as God, I will cease this deal and find another way. Seem fair?" Charlie asked nervously.
"Fair enough, child of the fallen. Until we meet again." The world around her began to darken and fade. What reappeared was Selena's room.
