The weekend flew by for everyone. They were busy but happily so. Selena had noticed some prominent figures appeared on the first day and even more so Friday and Saturday. She decided she would pay the few she knew a visit, make an attempt to promote the hotel and possibly thank them. There were a few she knew but would avoid. For now.
After breakfast was made and served, Selena left with no meal. She had gathered the questioning glances of everyone there. "Where ya goin', Foxy?"
"Well, I noticed a few Kings and Princes of Hell this weekend. I figured that I would thank them and see if I can get a few to promote us. Plus, Lucifer just gave me permission to handle some personal matters. It's in the human world so I have to talk to Stolas of Ars Goetia. I also wanna book a trip to Rosie's Emporium soon."
"Why there? Auntie, you have plenty of dresses." Vaggie seemed concerned. Everyone but Selena and Ryan knew that Rosie and Alastor were pals.
"I do. I go to have tea with her occasionally. She taught me how to embroider when it was popular so it's my way of repaying her in some ways."
"Well, my dear, let me go with you! I'm due a trip to see Rosie soon myself!" Alastor started to stand and skip breakfast himself.
"No can do, Al." She stopped him in his tracks. "I don't know when I'll visit or how long the visits before her will take.
"But she's the clos–" Alastor started.
"Yes, but like you she's super talkative and one of my few Hellish friends. So I always save her for next to last."
"But–"
"Enough, Al. As much as I wouldn't mind your company I have work to do. And your shenanigans could distract from some of my duties for today." She gave him a stern look.
He sat back down at the table.
"Oooo, she owned you!" Angel was pointing at Al and laughing. Before Selena had turned to leave, Al had magically zipped Angel's mouth shut. "Mmmm mmm mupmmm moo meee moooow?"
She just shook her head as she walked out the lobby door. She heard, "Boys! Behave!" from Charlie.
She faced the street outside the hotel and took a deep breath. She debated taking the long way and walking to each of her destinations but that would eat most of her time. Today's weather seemed so nice. Oh well. She faded into a cloud of vapor and appeared outside of Ozzie's.
