The club was closed for the day, but that didn't mean that the kitchen wasn't preparing for that night. She knocked on the door. An imp demon opened the door. "We're closed. What the fuck do you want?"
"Is Asmodeus here, sir?" The imp seemed surprised by her calling him 'sir'.
"No, miss. He's residing at his mansion. Resting from the night's debauchery." He looked her up and down. "Did you leave something with him, ma'am?"
"No. I'm a friend of his. I have business to discuss with him." She bowed at the imp. "Thank you for answering my question and pointing the way! Have a wonderful day! Good luck tonight!" She began darting off as she waved the imp goodbye.
The imp waved back with a blush on his face. "Since when did Master Ozzie have such nice friends?" He closed the door.
Selena knew where Asmodeus resided. It wasn't too far from the club. She conjured a parasol and stepped on it. She used the wind to send the parasol into the sky. She wanted to enjoy the weather. If traveling this way would let her, so be it. Once she arrived at Asmodeus's manor's doorstep, she used the door knockers to alert the house of her arrival. Once a maid opened the door, she stepped inside. "Miss Selena, it's been awhile! I'll inform my lord of your presence."
"Take your time." She waved the imp maid off.
She heard a knock come from upstairs, followed by a few mumbles, then a crash. She teleported behind the maid who had the door barely cracked. "Ozzie, you okay?" The maid bowed out of the way. "Coming in!" It was followed by another crash. Selena opened the door and stepped through. She braced to see seven or eight people in there but only found Ozzy. He was sitting suspiciously on his side.
"Hey, Selena! If you wanted a fuck that bad, you didn't have to announce yourself." He gave her a seductive wink.
"No thank you, Ozzie. Now your partner can come out. I can smell him." An imp came crawling out from on top of the canopy bed. "Plus you are never so clumsy as to bust your ass twice. Dead give away." If Selena remembered correctly, his name was Fizzaroli. "Fuckin' an imp, huh?" She raised her eyebrow. She knew full well that the Hellish hierarchy would laugh at him. "Good for you. And don't worry; your secret is safe with me." She gave him a wink.
"Thanks, Lena." She rolled her eyes at his new nickname for her. "So what are you here for?"
"About last Friday: I saw you in one of your shape-shifted forms." He stiffened.
"Yeah, what about it?" Ozzie started to sit more comfortably on the bed. He had a feeling this would be a very awkward conversation.
"The Hazbin Club finances The Happy Hotel. Now, I know you well enough to know you don't support it. So, why were you there? Scoping out the competition at a new place? Or interested in my unveiling for your club?" She had crossed her arms and leaned on her primary foot.
"Why do you care? You're just a singer there, right, Lena?" He seemed confused. This demon had appeared out of nowhere one day and saved him. She bandaged him and claimed to be a demon who began following Lucifer. He met the bastard under Selena's advice, and now, he is where he is today. She was one of his oldest friends. And one of the few people he never boned. Not that he hadn't tried.
"Actually, I'm a co-owner these days. Singer, cook, housekeeper, and whatever else they may need." The duo erupted into laughter.
"You co-own a redemption hotel!? Boy! And I thought I heard it all!" Ozzie's boisterous laughter rang through the room. Fizzarolli was laughing so obnoxiously.
"Do you think it's wise to laugh at a person with both of your dicks hanging out?" She grew her claws. They stopped laughing. "I didn't think so. Now answer me, Ozzie. I have to deal with the Radio Demon every day. I assure you I use all my patience on him. Now, old friend. It's time to get honest."
"Damn, girl! How long has it been since you got laid?!" Fizzarolli started laughing again. But when Ozzie didn't join in, he stopped abruptly. He realized that apparently in this moment joking about her sex life was a bad idea.
"First off, I wanted to see The Zephyrian Chaos. Secondly, I wanted to see what that shameful princess was up to." He tensed when he saw her eyes flash warningly. He never saw her demon powers, but for whatever reason, he found her terrifying. "Thirdly, I would loathe to miss your performance." He made a kissy face at her. He was trying to lighten the mood.
"Well, you saw her. And that shameful princess is doing her damn best! So, Ozzy, considering that favor you owe me.. I'm cashing it in." She narrowed her eyes at him.
Ozzie swallowed. He didn't think she'd ever cash it in. She never seemed the type. "I never thought you would." He had gotten so nervous now. He didn't even know why.
"That's because until now, I had no reason to." She tapped her foot.
"Fine. What do you want?" he sighed.
"Considering it was a large favor: I require two things. One: Anyone you punish is sent to the hotel for redemption. Two: you will promote the hotel. However you may please."
"Hah! No way would he agree to that!" Fizzarolli was laughing and pointing at her.
Ozzie got serious for a moment. "How serious are you about this?"
"Very. I know you ridicule it. If anyone gives you shit, tell them I strong-armed you. But not only is this Charlie's dream, but for a reason I won't go into, my goal."
"No one knows who you are. What good would that do me?!" Ozzie seemed frustrated. This would destroy his reputation!
"If I make a reputation for myself, will you accept my terms?" She sighed.
"Sure. If you can prove yourself." He mumbled.
"Then I challenge you. And bring 666 News." She stated. "Meet you out front in thirty minutes."
"What are you serious?!" Ozzie stood up.
"I made a promise. I'd do anything I needed to. So yes. I'm serious." She turned to walk out. "Now put on pants." She walked out. Fizzaroli called the news and told them of an urgent story while Ozzie got dressed.
