Selena and Alastor had to quadruple their efforts to make dinner for their new residents. Thankfully, Alastor started sooner than usual, and they finished on time. Barely. Much to everyone's surprise, Alastor and Selena were not dining with everyone. In fact, Selena darted up the stairs before they could get a full answer as to why. Alastor merely let out a chuckle at her excitement.

Within thirty or so minutes, she came down dressed in a red sundress and black heels. What wasn't noticed was that she was wearing shorts under her dress skirt. She wanted to make sure that if she accidentally tripped, despite her usual gracefulness, nothing showed. She felt jitters she hadn't felt since she was alive.

He held out his arm for her to take and whispered in her ear, "My dear, tonight I'm going to ask for you to trust me. And embrace your wonderful dark side." She nodded in understanding. Of course, going on a date with the Radio Demon probably meant that she would have to use the sides of her which were recently seeing more light of day. She felt that since she had met him, the more likely she was to pull out her darker self. "Wonderful, my dear!" They began leaving the hotel.

After they walked down the corner, Alastor used his shadow magic to transport them to the first point of their date. A restaurant in Cannibal Corner. "This happens to be one of my favorite places! It also comes with 'vegetarian' options." Alastor gave a laugh as he opened the door for Selena. She knew he would cook up something like this. If he hadn't, there was no way he was being true to himself. She gave a soft smile and walked in. At least he knew she might not want to feed on demon flesh today. Not that she was against it. Just unsure if that was something she would do without her killing instincts in play.

The two were seated and ordered separately. Then the rest of dinner was filled with awkward silence. Alastor attempted to make conversation, but feeling it fail, began tapping his fingers while humming. He wanted to face palm. So far this was a bust. Selena, on the other hand, was just too nervous to talk. She was anxious and wanted to continue the conversation, but her tongue got stuck. When he would stop the conversation, it made her sad.

Eventually, they got their food. Alastor started making puns about their meals and then began being his usual chatty self. This, of course, had people starting to notice him, and they earned plenty of stares. She let Alastor chat away as she gave him a positive smile for the rest of dinner.

Back at the hotel, everyone was wondering how their date was going. Specifically Angel and Husker. The two sat anxiously at the bar as a few new demons ordered the occasional drink from Husk. "I hope today goes well." Husk mumbled just so that Angel would hear.

"Same here. Maybe he'll lighten up, and she'll finally get laid again."

"Sex needs to wait 'til later. And what the fuck is up with you and them needing to get laid anyway? They should build their romance. Haven't you been in a genuine relationship before?"

"No? Not that anyone has been interested in a real relationship with me." Angel got sad.

"Oh hell." Husk looked at the idiot spider. "That's not true. Now stop being a baby."

"How the hell would you know?!" Angel was in a desperately sad headspace.

"Because you idiot, I'm talking from experience." Husk placed his hand on the spider demon and hid a blush.

"What the fuck you mean?"

"Nevermind, you dumbass." Husk took his hand back and began cleaning bar glasses.
