-Remnant, Anima, Mistral, Argus-
The sun shone on the distant coastal city, home of Mistral's champion Pyrrha Nikos and to a certain blonde's older sister and her family.
And for the youngest son of the Arc family, he was kinda lost in the city itself.
"Ok, so was I supposed to take a left or right?" He muttered out loud while looking around the city. "Ugh, I wish Saphron made some better directions other then just 'turn left and then right'." 'Hopefully she doesn't realize I'm only visiting to catch up before Beacon. Knowing Terra, she would be asking a lot of questions about my transcripts if I told them outright.'
As he turned a corner, he started to wonder if he should ask someone for directions or not.
'Maybe some help would...help.' He thought while not noticing that he was about to collide with someone.
Trip!
Bam!
Splash!
"My new jacket! And my clothes!"
Jaune blinked as he noticed a tall slender pale skinned young girl with short white hair that was pushed to the left side of her face, light blue eyes, an A cup chest and small ass, wearing a black short sleeved dress shirt with gray cuffs, bronze buttons, a white vest with a gold pocket watch in the right sleeve, a heavy gray jacket with white fur on the cuffs and collar, black tight trousers, gray socks, black high heels, and a single conical white hat with white fur around the base with the symbol of Atlas in its center, currently on the ground, in a puddle and was angry that her vest, jacket and trousers were covered in filthy water and sludge.
"Look at what you did!"
"Oh no! I am so so so sorry!" he spoke up quickly in panic. "I-I didn't see you there, I was thinking to myself and-"
"Tripped me." She frowned while trying to get up. "And now I'm filthy! You pedestrian pig!"
"I said I was sorry." Jaune said while extending a hand to help her up.
"Sorry doesn't take care of the dirt." She frowned while getting up, pushing his hand away, and placed her right hand behind her back. "Now if you excuse me, I'm going."
"Wait." Jaune said calmly. "I get I might have ruined your clothes, but I'm willing to pay for the damages."
"Pay?" she raised an eyebrow and frowned. "Do these look like your run of the mill clothes?"
"Um...maybe?"
She glared. "This is the finest of Atlasian tailoring!"
"And the jacket is torn in the back." Jaune admitted as he pointed to her back, revealing a thick tear the size of his hand near her ass. "I'm willing to pay for it."
"These aren't cheap, I doubt you could afford the shoes." She frowned.
"Well, I'm willing to pay for it." He smiled, making the girl raise an eyebrow. "I mean how expensive is it?"
"Ten thousand lien."
That made Jaune nearly fall over and stumble, but didn't show it.
"Oh, just for the entire outfit?"
"No, for each one." She deadpanned while Jaune screamed in terror in his mind. "And seeing that you're unable to pay for it-"
"Miss, I'm serious about paying for the new clothes." He interrupted. "An Arc never goes back on his word."
"...and why are you going out for me again? I'm a stranger."
"But strangers are just friends you haven't met yet. Well that's what my mom always says at any rate." He chuckled with a smile. 'And because if I don't I'll probably owe her more if it works like taking money from a bank, I do NOT need interest added on!'
She stared at him in bewilderment while not noticing that he was currently holding her hand or that they were heading to a very fancy clothing store a few blocks away. 'He...He's so strange! I mean does he KNOW who I am!? I'm not a stranger yet he CHOOSES to think I am one...ugh! And to pay for my clothes, is he nuts!? He needs to buy a small kingdom first before he can EVEN cover the cost!'
Ding ling.
'Wait, where am...' she thought while finally noticing that she was in a clothes shop as the boy was currently looking around for something fancy. 'Damn it! He manhandled me!'
"So where would stuff like that be in here?" Jaune muttered while looking around, only to turn to the white haired girl. "So what exactly would you want to wear?"
"Something with a vest, shirt, jacket and trousers." she said with a smirk. "But all with a special Atlasian design."
"I see." he nodded while looking around. "Any undergarments?"
"W-Why!?"
"I-It's not what you think!" he blushed. "I lived with seven sisters and they always did this sort of stuff with me, I just...thought you needed some new underwear. I mean you were in a puddle." 'Shit, now she's going to sue me or something!'
"I got wet, but not THAT wet." She deadpanned while Jaune blushed. "But less talking and more clothes hunting."
'She's kinda full of herself.' he thought while the girl stared at him with a frown.
'Perverted savage.'
(Later on)
"Are you done in there?" Jaune asked while waiting outside one of the changing rooms, the girl currently trying on a few pairs of shirts and the like, and right now she was on her fiftieth change.
"You can not rush perfection."
"They're just clothes." he muttered.
"I heard that."
He groaned while feeling like the girl was more annoying than his other siblings.
Wussh.
The curtains were drawn away as the girl revealed herself, wearing a white vest, a navy blue jacket with black cuffs, light gray trousers and had her conical hat on her head.
"How do I look?"
"...to be fair, it suits you." he admitted. "Very stylish."
She smirked. "Well I'm a stickler for the higher fashions."
"But I do have one small request."
"What?"
"Maybe you could take the hat off?"
"What? I like this hat!" she frowned.
"I get that, but you would look much nicer if the hat wasn't on."
She raised an eyebrow at that while lightly blushing pink. "And if I keep it on?"
"Well, you would look nice either way, but I want to see you without a hat on." he admitted with sincerity.
She sighed in disbelief before taking her hat off, revealing that she had a small cowlick on the top of her head. "There, happy?" 'I hope NOW he recognizes me, or at least don't laugh at the cowlick!'
"Wow." he said in surprise. "Very cute."
"...thank you." she said with a light blush before shaking her head. "But that doesn't excuse you from anything."
Jaune chuckled while the girl pulled the curtain back.
"I will take these clothes, please make sure you pay for all of them."
"Ok, but how much is it exactly?"
"Three thousand lien, each."
'Oh boy.' he thought with a pale face.
(Later)
Jaune groaned as he felt his wallet emptier than normal, although he still had a few lien still in his bank account to help with Beacon, as he walked the young girl out of the shop, the sun setting in the distance. 'My wallet...'
"I'm impressed." she said with a smirk. "You actually paid for everything and then some."
"Yeah...my family is kinda rich, but not that rich." he sweatdropped as the girl looked at him with a hint of arrogance.
"Well, no one could best my family in the economic battleground."
Jaune sighed before coughing. "Um...since it's getting late, want to um...hang out? Like come over to my sister's place? Her wife is a great cook."
"Sorry, but I have other stuff to attend to." She said while Jaune sighed.
"Well, I was hoping to get to know you more. Plus the dinner was on me, for the most part."
"Maybe another time." she said while putting a hand in her right pocket and pulled out a business card. "Here."
He took the card, which had the logo for the SDC, and looked at it in surprise.
"Show this to a SDC employer or at any SDC related stores and you will get a discount. But try not to lose it." she said with a smirk.
"Oh! Thanks...SDC...I know I heard it from somewhere."
"We own all the Dust." she deadpanned.
"Oh..." he said before seeing a familiar street. "Well I just found my sister's neighborhood, um thanks."
She turned to walk away when Jaune placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Right, I almost forgot. Names' Jaune Arc. Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue."
"...yeah." she said, unimpressed at the line's delivery. "Here's some advice, DON'T use that on any normal woman. It's...annoying."
He blushed. "I'll remember that when I get to Beacon. See you...um...miss?"
"You don't need to know my name right now. I'll let you figure out my identity on your own." she retorted.
"Well ok, but if we do meet again." he smirked. "Let's go on a date, just the two of us."
She turned bright red and stuttered a little as Jaune smiled and ran off, waving goodbye to her in the process until he was out of sight. 'T-T-That commoner! How….how...blunt!'
Zooom.
Zooom.
She turned her head to the right side as a black limousine drove towards her and stopped on her side of the road. As she opened the door, she sat down and looked up at the limo driver and said in a more calm tone. "Klein, home."
"Right away Miss Schnee." he said before driving off, only to notice the new clothes on her person. "Had a spot of trouble today?"
"You could say that." she said while crossing her right leg over her left and smirked a little. "Klein, remind me when I get back to pull up the Arc Family papers, more specifically for one Terra Cotta-Arc."
"Why?"
"Reasons." she said while slowly thinking back to Jaune's offer. 'A date, intriguing. Perhaps I should entertain the notion, maybe expand upon it, after all he helped the Schnees and we Schnees always help those with 'familial' ties.'
(Many months later)
-Vale, Beacon Academy, RWBY's Room-
Knock knock.
"Ruby! Can you get that? I'm in the shower!" called out Yang from the bathroom.
"Can't! I'm busy!" Ruby yelled while currently playing a game on her Scroll.
Knock knock.
"Blake!"
"Reading." she said while on her bed, reading the tenth book today, one that ISN'T perverted.
"WEISS!"
"I'm studying!"
Knock knock!
"JUST OPEN THE DOOR!" she yelled while the pipes busted from her semblance. "GAH!"
Weiss sighed while putting her pen down, stood up and walked to the door.
Only to see Jaune at the door holding a letter in his hands.
"Oh hey Weiss...um…" he gave her a confused look. "I know you're all proper and the like, and I know my wooing skills are bad, but why did you give me this letter?"
"What letter?"
"This one." he said while showing it to her, revealing the SDC logo stamped on the back in gold wax. "It was stuck in my mailbox today."
"Jaune, I never sent a letter." she raised an eyebrow.
"But if you didn't send it, who did?"
"I don't know." she deadpanned before opening the letter's seal, revealing an invitation within it. "You, Jaune Arc, are hereby granted permission to attend the 109th Schnee Dust Company's Bicentennial Gala. As such you are granted the temporary title of Baron and are allowed a single guest, we hope to see you in Atlas."
"...eh!? But that's impossible!" Jaune said in surprise. "Terra told me no one, not even SHE got an invitation to this event!"
"Terra?"
"My sister's wife, she works as a CCT Operator for the company." he said in surprise. "But...wow. Are you SURE you didn't send me this, because if you did, thanks. I really mean it...not because you're rich but as a friend. I mea-"
"Jaune, for the last time, I didn't." she crossed her arms. 'But then how else could he have gotten it? Could Winter have sent it thinking he was my boyfriend? Gross!'
"Oh." he said before rubbing his chin. "But I don't know, it's kinda your family."
"And?"
"Well, you're the only one who knows me right? So who else would know my existence?" he asked while rubbing the back of his head. "But if you come along as a chaperone I won't let you down at all. I mean...I really don't have anyone that's from Atlas in my circle of friends."
"Why not take Ruby or someone from your own team?"
"Ruby is too young, Pyrrha is too famous and might be intimidating, Ren might be mistaken for a girl, Nora needs to be near Ren every hour, Yang is a party animal, Blake is a faunus that hates the Schnees besides you." he said while listing the reasons very carefully. "And well...I really don't have any other friends besides your team and mine so….yeah. I have to ask you to come with me, sorry."
She sighed.
"I will make it up to you. I promise."
"...fine, but mostly because there's a chance my sister will call up and ask me if I'm coming, so it was bound to happen anyway, just remember, it's not a date."
He nodded before realizing something. "Oh right. I just remembered something."
Weiss blinked before seeing Jaune quickly run back to his room and then ran back to her holding a white tuxedo with golden cuffs, long sleeves with two yellow rainbows on the shoulders, a fancy white handkerchief folded nearly in the right breast pocket and a pair of long white dress pants, in his hands.
"This came in the mail as well, but for some reason it didn't have a return address. Just a note saying 'Try to be fancy.' attached to the tag."
"Well whoever sent the invite obviously wants you to dress up in decent clothes so you don't stick out like a sore thumb." she deadpanned while noting that the stitching was all Atlaian in nature, the finest she had ever seen. 'And had a lot of money. Mmmm...I wonder if Winter is trying to date him...or worse...marry him!'
'Damn it.' He thought in embarrassment as Weiss made it her mission to stop Winter from dating someone that might ruin her career, that and not feel sick having to call Jaune 'brother'.
(A few weeks later)
-Atlas, Schnee Manor, Front Gates-
Cars drove up and down the pathway as the guests seemed to funnel in without a problem, the faunus servers making sure they were relieved of their coats and other accessories as one of the cars stopped and opened up.
Revealing Jaune Arc, in his suit, carefully had his right arm wrapped around Weiss' left arm, her attire now in a more elegant white dress that she used for her singing, and was currently trying not to get nervous.
"Wow, this place is...big."
"Well the Schnees are one of the elites of Atlas." Weiss frowned. "It makes sense we live in a mansion of this caliber."
He nodded while they walked up to the front doors and were stopped by a rabbit faunus.
"Name and title."
"Jaune Arc, Baron." he said with a smile. "And this is Weiss Schnee, Baroness."
"Ah, the guest of honor and the master's middle daughter." he nodded while moving to the side. "Step this way."
The two made their way inside, with Jaune's eyes widening and jaw dropping.
For the mansion itself was covered in blue and white marble, the curtains were navy blue, the floor was covered in white and blue tiles that formed several snowflakes, and the people were all numerous and seemingly having the time of their lives.
This made him feel small and a little insignificant compared to everything around him, like when he first entered Beacon but less imposing.
"Jaune." Weiss warned with a low whisper. "Try not to act...like you do with me."
"So no flirting?"
"Yes!" she hissed while Jaune nodded, only to see a young girl in a green dress and coughed to get her attention.
"Hey. Name's Jaune Arc. Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue." he said while trying to act smooth. "The ladies love it."
She deadpanned at him before walking away.
"Jaune!"
"Sorry I panicked!"
She facepalmed and groaned. "Look, how about you just stay quiet so you don't say something stupid?"
"Um...that ruins the point of socializing."
"Just try to act civil." she sighed while they walked into the ballroom and Jaune noticed that the entire ballroom was filled white yellow curtains for some reason. "Wait, why are the curtains yellow?"
"It's not normal?"
"No, they are always white." she said while seeing Winter near the punch bowl. "Excuse me Jaune, I need to talk to my older sister for a moment."
"Sure, go ahead."
"And DON'T cause a scene." she warned before storming towards Winter, leaving Jaune alone.
He gulped while feeling very nervous about being in a crowd of rich folks, especially older MILF's with wealth.
Unfortunately for him, some of the older women took notice of him and actually licked her lips for...less than wholesome reasons.
'I feel like a rabbit in a den of lions.' he thought nervously while chuckling a little at the small joke, since he usually wears a Pumpkin Pete's hoodie on his person.
However, as he tried to calm down, he didn't notice that a figure was walking down the white curved stairs nor their name or title.
That being a tall slender fair skinned young girl with short white hair that was pushed to the left side of her face, light blue eyes, an F cup chest and large ass, wearing a long white ballroom gown that went to her legs, a long high collar that pointed downwards to her chest, a white tiara with blue sapphires encrusted in the middle of a white snowflake diamond center, long white opera gloves with navy blue tips, a silver necklace in the shape of a snowflake, white stockings, glass high heeled slippers, and holding a white snowflake fan in her left hand, who seemed to be walking towards the blond Hunter In Training with a smirk.
"Winter, you and I need to have a serious talk." Weiss frowned while Winter looked at her in confusion, a glass of juice in her left hand.
"What might that be Weiss?"
"About the invitation to Jaune Arc." she frowned. "And the tux."
"...Jaune Arc? The leader of JNPR you told me about in your letters?"
"The same!"
"...so you finally started to date him? Huh, a little surprising given how he was persistent in wooing you but if he makes you happy-"
"What?! Ewww! Of course I'm not dating him." she frowned.
"Then why did I see you two come in together?"
"Because he asked me to, as a friend." she frowned as Winter looked very lost.
"...then what's the problem?"
"You! You apparently have a thing for him and sent him the invitation so you could marry him!"
"...eh?"
"I mean, who else would send him an invite? It couldn't have been father, he'd scoff at the very notion of Jaune being the leader of his own team, let alone think he was good enough to be invited here."
"...but I thought mother sent him here." Winter said in confusion.
"Why would she do that?"
"I don't know, but it's the only logical answer." she said before noticing someone moving towards Jaune. "Wait, isn't that...no no. It couldn't be."
Jaune sighed while not seeing the woman behind him.
Tap tap.
He turned and blinked. "Yes?"
"Ah. Baron Jaune Arc, a pleasure to meet you once more." She said with a smile. "Enjoying the gala?"
"Well, I just got here, so….not right there yet." He admitted while confused why this woman was talking to him.
"I see." she said before fanning herself a little.
"Um...so who are you?"
She chuckled. "Well a simple introduction would be appropriate, given I never gave you my name back in Argus."
Jaune blinked as the woman closed the fan, revealing her white lipstick to him.
"My name is Whitley Schnee, youngest daughter of Jacques Schnee and soon to be heiress to the Schnee Dust Company." she said with a hint of arrogance.
"...EH!?" he went out, wide eyed in disbelief. "Y...Y….Y….You're related to Weiss?!"
"Yes." she said with a frown, which was soon replaced with a smile. "But unlike her, my mother's better genes have bloomed since the last time we met."
"..." he was silent, taking in her form, especially her chest with a bright red face, speechless. 'Holy crap! S-S-She's the same girl I met back then? I couldn't tell at all!'
'He must be amazed at my beauty.' "So, are you feeling dazed by me?"
"M-More like shocked! I mean I kinda hung out with you and...it wasn't the best of moments."
"I know."
"B-But it's still nice to see you again. And I really mean it." He smiled, making her lightly blush at the gesture. "So, wait. Did you send the invitation?"
"Yes, I thought the discount on Dust was...lackluster as a gift so I sent it and the tux." She said with a calm tone. "The tux is made from the same tailor as the clothes you nearly ruined, about two thousand lien a peice."
"Isn't that still kinda pricey?"
"My family is the literal distributor of Dust, world wide, we have lien to spare." she said in a cocky tone that made Jaune sweatdrop.
'Yep, she's JUST like when we met.'
"But before I forget." she said before snapping her fingers, making a dog faunus with a silver tray in his hands walk towards the heiress and opened it up to reveal a silver Scroll and a black Scroll touch pen. "I just need you to sign this."
"Which is?"
"A simple attendance sheet, the company likes having them just in case of an emergency." she said while handing him the pen, something Weiss noticed as the blonde haphazardly signed it. "Thank you Baron Jaune, your contribution to the company will be rewarded." 'Very soon in fact.'
"So...like?"
"Mmm, the date you promised." She shrugged. "But since we are currently at a gala, I count your idea of a date fulfilled."
"Really? Just like that?"
"Yep." she said before the same faunus gave her a microphone and she tapped it, making the rest of the parties stop in their tracks. "Ahem. May I have your attention please? Right, I thank you all for coming to this gala, one that is unusual as it's only been two weeks since my father's previous charity event. However, I must be honest with you all."
'A first.' Weiss thought with a deadpan expression.
"The reason for this gala is something more personal." She said with a smile. "Just a few months ago, I met a young boy that saw me, one of the elite of Atlas, and didn't even question my status as he returned a favor dear to my heart. A cold one mind you, but a heart nonetheless, and his actions have made me think about my position in the company. Yes I will one day inherit the SDC, but I must not neglect the more personal side of my nature."
'I don't like where this is going.' Weiss gulped as she pointed to the Scroll.
"As such, today I have given the boy the honor of attending this gala and more. For on this Scroll is the prized engagement contract that my grandfather and his grandfather before him have crafted, and from this day onwards." she pointed to Jaune. "I shall be engaged to Baron Jaune Arc, Hunter In Training, Beacon student and the eight son of a family of seven. A kind soul in this barbaric age of Grimm and Hunters, and I shall be happy to give him my heart, my company, and my family Glyphs to him upon our wedding day but now, let us celebrate the engagement. For this is what the gala truly is, our engagement party."
And like that, Jaune, Weiss, and Winter were wide eyed in shock, whereas the other guests simply went ahead and clapped together.
The young girl smiled while turning to Jaune. "Consider this payment for your kindness, dear."
"I...um...I...a...e...h…!?" he stuttered in shock as Weiss stomped towards her younger sibling with a glare.
"WHITLEY SCHNEE!"
She smiled. "Yes sister dear?"
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!"
"No. I have not 'lost my mind'." she said while making air quotes with her fingers. "I really am engaged to Jaune Arc. Why? Are you jealous?"
"No!" she yelled. "I am not! I am upset that YOU chose him!"
"And why would you even be upset about my tastes in men?"
"He's from-"
"A Hunter family I know, his sister's wife is part of the CCT Network for the company, I read the files." she deadpanned. "And he might be a savage, but he's more human than the others, and much more tolerant of the fame I have around me."
"Still! You should have standards!"
"Like you becoming a Huntress and leaving little old me alone? Really, I do have higher standards than you or Winter put together."
"I'm standing right here." grumbled Winter to herself.
"Anyway." Whitley said while moving closer to Jaune's left side. "I have a fiance to talk to, so shoo. Go on, shoo."
Weiss glared while Winter put a hand on her shoulder and shook her head no, knowing that she might cause a scene.
Jaune stood there, in silence, as he tried to contemplate the situation he was currently in and getting figurative steam erupting from his ears in the process. He was so out of it he didn't even notice Whitley leading him away.
All until he realized that he was walking up a set of stairs to a balcony above the ballroom itself, which had very few people or servants around as she sat down on a red velvet couch and made him sit down next to her.
"You must be wondering 'why me?' Am I right?" she asked while placing her hands on his own, making him blush.
"Well...you made it clear before...but still…."
"And I do mean every word, you won me over with your kindness. A kindness that has been stewing in my heart for months now." she said with a smile. "From reading your family files to watching your little escapades from the Vale News station, I have watched you grow. I have recalled every minute of our last encounter and made it my most treasured memory, a rare thing in my family."
'She's serious!'
"And starting tonight, we are engaged to be married, aren't you excited about it? Being engaged at such a young age?"
"Uh…" he said in confusion while feeling his cheeks turning red.
"Or are you displeased?" she frowned. "Displeased at being married to a shewed Schnee with too much money?"
"What no no! It's not that, it's...just I'm kinda...confused about everything. I mean last month I was trying to date Weiss and now…."
Whitley narrowed her eyes for a second before sighing. "I see, so you wanted to marry the black sheep of the family. Poor choice given the fact you already have me as a friend and potential lover."
He turned bright red at that last part. "I...um…"
"Not to worry, you won't be disappointed."
"But...isn't it kinda pushing it? I mean we only met once."
"True, that is why the wedding is set for after you graduate Beacon." she said with a sigh. "Although personally I wished you came to Atlas Academy instead, to be closer to me and provided by the SDC."
"I chose it because it has the best quality."
She deadpanned. "Are you insinuating that Atlas has less quality then Vale? A Kingdom dependent on Dust trade? From my family?"
"N-N-No no! I didn't mean it like that." he said quickly. "I mean it has...um...good quality for the weather! Yeah, the weather." 'Good save.'
'He's really flustered.' she thought with a chuckle before Jaune shook his head a little.
"But back on track, isn't the engagement a little...much. I mean it can be nullified by someone right?"
"That's the beauty of it, only those of the Schnee family can annul the contact and since I was the only one that knew about the contact beforehand and was the one to pen the revision, only I can negate our wedding and." she smirked. "I'm not letting a kind man like you slip away from my grasp that easily."
'Oh gods...that's freaky!' he thought with a cold chill down his spine. "Uh, but what if you run into someone better?"
She deadpanned. "That bridge was burnt a long time ago."
He gulped before noticing her standing up and extending her left hand to him.
"Shall we go down and dance, dear?" she said with a genuine smile on her face that made Jaune's heart melt like putty.
"Uh...well….sure." he said while taking her hand and letting her drag him back down the stairs, the partygoers actually clapping for them like they were royalty.
However, Weiss and Winter were busy keeping their mother Willow, who just came in, from drinking anything alcoholic.
"Please refrain from pulling my sleeves." Willow frowned before noticing her daughter with another man. "Huh, so Whitley actually made it official."
"Wait, you knew!?" Weiss yelled in shock.
"Yes, she asked me how to better talk to a man, how to dance and how to act proper with a straight face." Willow sighed. "She was so nervous about the gala and looking proper in 'her prince's' eyes, it was almost adorable in my eyes."
"And you didn't inform us why?" asked Winter.
"You two were busy with your own problems." she said while grabbing a glass of wine. "And you never answered my calls, not one. If you had you two might have saved your own dignities and actually be happy that your youngest sibling found the right man."
Both looked a little sheepish at that while seeing their sister waltzing with Jaune on the dance floor, the blond actually making an effort to look dignified.
Although he did step on the heiress' feet a few times.
'Ow! Gods damn-OW!'
'Stay calm, just focus on the dancing.' Jaune thought while Whitley made sure not to show her discomfort or pain to him, although she did look ready to scream.
'That's it, he's taking dancing classes, no ifs, ands, or buts.' she thought in pain before seeing Weiss and smirked at her.
Weiss facepalmed while feeling like she's going to be on duty for something in the near future. 'Damn her and her insanity!'
(A bit later)
Whitley groaned on a chair near the stairs as she rubbed her feet in pain, Jaune currently sitting next to Weiss as they were busy with idle chatting. 'He really has strong feet.'
As she looked at the two talking, she felt a little envious that her sister knew him more than she did, conversation wise, and that coupled with her own personal feeling for Jaune, made her a little jealous.
'What does Weiss have that I don't? I have better business experience, the better bosom, and the better clothes YET she knows him more. I understand he chose Beacon as part of his Hunter 'training', but I need affection too! I saw him first and knew him, YOU dear sister knew him only after you ran from home and joined the savages!' she thought while biting the tip of her lip, making it draw blood. 'So what, what what what what what IS IT that you have that drew him to you?'
As she stewed in her own negative pool of emotions, she didn't notice that Jaune just left Weiss' company and was sitting next to her with a bouquet of white roses.
'I hope this works. I mean Weiss did say she liked roses.' He thought before tapping her shoulder. "Um...Whitley."
She looked up and saw the roses, making her blush but didn't make her feel any better as her envy just took hold of her. "Oh, roses? For whom are these for exactly?"
"Well-"
"Let me guess, Weiss or better yet Winter? Is that right?"
"Well n-"
"I mean you know them longer than me, and apparently have a fixation with flat boards." she frowned while feeling the negative emotions bubble to the surface.
Jaune lookked very confused at that. "Wait what? These aren't for Weiss. They're for you."
"...oh….in that case, thank you." she said in an embarrassed tone while taking the roses. '...damn it. I let my inner emotions take over, again. Damn it!'
He smiled a little before noticing the blood on her face and took out his pocket handkerchief to wipe the blood off. "What happened?"
She blushed at the gesture. "Nothing...just bit myself. Nothing serious."
"Oh." he said while Whitley felt her mind becoming a little bit clearer. "Well, do you still want to dance? Or are you thirsty?"
She stood up and smirked. "No, I'm not feeling in the mood. But perhaps we can leave and go somewhere more….quiet for a bit of intimacy?"
Jaune went wide eyed and stared at her, slack jaw.
"What? Aren't boys your age into such things with their lovers?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
"W-W-Well I guess you're not wrong, but that seems way too fast!" he blushed while Whitley cocked her head a little.
"But don't couples like to cuddle? To hug and kiss?"
"Well...yes but…"
"If you're suggesting sex then no." she deadpanned. "I might be an heiress engaged to you, but I am still the YOUNGEST daughter of the most powerful man in Atlas, it wouldn't work. Plus Klein and my sisters might kick your ass, pardon the expression."
Jaune sighed in relief before noticing that the young girl was trying to reach up to kiss him, and having a real hard time even with the high heeled glass slippers. "Uh, I could crouch down if that'd help."
"No no." she said with conviction. "I can do this just fine."
He chuckled before crouching down, picked her up like a princess, and kissed her on the lips.
This action, however, was in full view of the entire party and for some of the paparazzi in attendance.
FLASH!
Who took a nice picture of the kiss, much to Whitley's embarrassment.
'Oh joy, this is gonna be great to see on the news.' thought Weiss sarcastically.
Jaune smiled while his fiance was in cloud nine right now, a smile plastered on her face as Jaune walked away from the party and the flashing of cameras. 'Well, this went well….right?'
(A few weeks later)
-Vale, Beacon Academy, JNPR's Room-
"HUH!?" Nora cried out while reading a random newspaper she 'took' from Cardin and nearly dropped her coffee cup on the floor. "Jaune's engaged!?"
Pyrrha turned quickly at that announcement as Ren looked at Jaune in surprise.
"You got hooked up?"
"Yes." Jaune said with a blush.
"But to who?"
"...Weiss' sister, Whitley." he blushed as Nora was amazed at this news. "We kinda met in Argus, didn't know her and well...she liked the Arc kindness."
Ren shook his head. "Only you."
"What does that even mean?"
He pointed to Pyrrha. "Only you can ignore the affections of your partner, try to date Weiss and be kind to her sister to the point of getting engaged."
"...to be fair, she never told me her name and she made me sign a contract at the gala."
"Wow, she must be crazy about you."
"Not crazy, just….um….ok. Maybe crazy, but she seemed nice." he admitted while Pyrrha felt her heart break a little. "But the wedding is set for after graduation, so we won't be doing the deed Nora."
"AW! But I want to know the details!" she exclaimed while throwing the paper into the air, which Ren caught with one hand.
"..." he looked up in confusion. "Jaune."
"Yeah."
"I know you're engaged to an heiress to the Schnee Dust Company."
"And?"
"And you might become the head soon." he said grimly. "Because her father died just last week."
"How?" Pyrrha asked with curiosity.
"Choking on a piece of steak. The body is being cremated later today, General Ironwood's orders apparently." he said while Jaune shivered a little for some reason.
"Huh, love and death in a few weeks." Nora said in morbid humor. "Looks like Jaune's going to have his hands full in this batshit insane family."
"Nora, now's not the time." frowned Pyrrha.
"What? It's true."
Jaune sighed before seeing his Scroll ring and answered it. "Hello?"
"Hello dear." said Whitley as her face appeared on the screen. "I just wanted to say hello and to tell you that….father has passed, but not before allowing you to become a member of the SDC."
"Oh…"
"Unfortunately, you will have to start as a secretary. He really hated you for some reason." she said before seeing his team. "Oh. So this is your team of savage Hunters….lackluster. Especially the ginger."
"Oi! I'm not lackluster lady!" Nora frowned while grabbing the Scroll. "I'm the Queen of this castle!"
"Yeah...no. You aren't a queen, more a baroness than anything. Especially with that attitude of yours." she said coldly, making Nora look a little pissed. "Now give me back to Jaune, now."
"You wanna go? Let's see who's tough when I put you in a headlock you won't ever forget!"
"Oh please, savagery is below me." she waved off before looking at Pyrrha, studying her carefully, before coughing. "Dear, I know you said before that Pyrrha Nikos was your partner but if she tries to seduce you-"
"She won't." Jaune sweatdropped.
"...good. But I still need proof that she is a good choice."
"Choice? Choice in what?" Pyrrha asked in confusion.
" A good choice as the godmother of our future children, when we do become intimate in the future that is. Right now, I can't stomach your very presence without gagging." she said with visible disgust plastered on her face.
"Well, aren't you pleasant to be around." remarked the champion sarcastically.
She huffed before Ren took the Scroll and gave it back to Jaune. "Ah thank you, at least one of you savages has some decency. Ahem, Jaune I wish you well this semester and I will be appearing next week for a business deal. I hope you can accompany me as my 'loyal Huntsman'."
"I will try." he admitted while seeing her kiss the screen, much to Pyrrha's annoyance.
"I will see you then, husband dear."
Click.
"I don't like her." frowned Pyrrha.
"Neither do I." Nora frowned. "She's a bitch."
"True." Jaune admitted. "But she's a good person once you get to know her."
Both frowned while Ren sighed.
"Jaune, do me a favor."
"What?"
"Please hold me back when I see her in person." he said while clenching his left hand tightly. "Or I might break her jaw."
"Wait what!?"
(Elsewhere)
-Atlas, Schnee Manor, Whitley's Room-
The young heiress sighed while putting the Scroll on the table, the room seemingly dark for some reason. "Poor Jaune, to be stuck with three girls that are lackluster at most. Oh poor dear."
As she turned around, it was revealed that the lower portion of her sleeves were covered in dried blood and her feet covered with flesh blood for some reason.
"Well, at least I got rid of one obstacle." she muttered before flipping the lights on, revealing the cold dead body of Jaques Schnee on a table, his clothes removed and his body covered in fresh cuts. "Still, stabbing him in the throat and then making sure the general's signature was used to procure the body wasn't easy, but so was keeping our marriage intact." she moved closer to the body with a sickening smirk. "Oh father, you shouldn't have tried to annul our engagement, it wasn't wise at all. And now, I can use you as a stress reliever."
Her left hand moved to the side of a nightstand and picked up a small scalpel.
"Mmm, where to start? Neck? Throat? Eyes? Or maybe ass? That ginger really pissed me off and those eyes...yeah. Those eyes really make my blood boil." she muttered to herself before eyeing her father's eyes.
STAB!
SQUSH!
And pushed the scalpel deep into his right eye, making the left side of her face get covered in blood.
"Ahh, this is for all the times you tried to make me act more like a son than a girl. Wearing men's pants was awkward, you bastard." she sighed in relief while pulling the eyeball out and placed it in the trashcan nearby. "Now, where to start next?"
As she raised the scalpel towards the corpse's face, the screen went black as she chuckled to herself.
"Oh Jaune, we will be together, forever~"
