Sooooo it's been awhile for this story, yeah? But before you all start an angry mob remember! This was initially just a side-story while I was in between chapters of BWUR. I have every intention of finishing it of course. And will definitely try to update more frequently. If you missed my author's note on my last update with FURTDR, it's just been a crazy junior year and hectic life… and bad writer's block, especially for this story. But I'm trying y'all.

And I have missed this story:)

"Maybe she's not a hoe. Maybe she'll just marry you and take everything when you die. Let's call her a businesswoman."

Riley Freeman; Lovely Ebony Brown

Cindy's POV

"Tish?" Riley said in surprise, turning around to fully face… Letitia Lopez. The acclaimed and revered bitch on the south side of town. Cindy could not believe they just ran into her while leaving.

"Why hello, Esco." Tish practically purred, stepping closer to give him a tight hug, which Riley readily accepted. Cindy raised an eyebrow, keenly observing the display in front of her. In what world does a bitch wake up and decide to wear a club-worthy outfit with heels to a local family restaurant? Tish had on a dark purple, scoop-neck and cleavage-baring romper that was about four inches too short to cover her ass.

Attention whore much?

"Mm, hello to you." Riley replied, after she pulled back, his eyes freely roaming all over her. "Damn girl, where you goin' and where you been? You look fuckin' good."

Tish let out a soft chuckle as she ran a hand through her ridiculously long dark hair. "Oh please baby, I just threw this on." She winked. Right. "Just got back from Bali yesterday, darling. I wouldn't even be out of bed right now, but my friend wanted to meet me here for lunch."

"Yeah?" Riley mumbled in response, his eyes still not leaving her tanned and exposed body.

"Mhm." Tish grinned, obviously loving the attention. "However, she just texted me that something came up and she can't make it. My schedule's suddenly all cleared up."

"Oh yeah?" Riley was now grinning, finally lifting his eyes to hers.

"Yeah." Tish flashed him a smile. "Join me?"

"Ahh damn, I just got done here, ma." He hedged. Cindy glared at the side of his head. The correct response was "WE just got done here."

"All by yourself?" Tish asked coyly. Oh hell naw, they weren't about to act like she was invisible. Before Riley could even respond, Cindy pretended to clear her throat, making sure that he felt the heat of her stare this time. Lucky for him, he did.

"Oh! Naw, I didn't. I came here with my homie, C." Riley said, vaguely gesturing over to Cindy. She fought not to roll her eyes as she crossed her arms.

"Hi." Cindy said simply, supplying a light head nod.

"Hello." Tish responded coolly, giving Cindy that fake look bitches do when they low-key don't like you; trying to look all discreet and neutral about it, but it's clear as day. "So how do you two know each other?" She asked, having the audacity to sound even slightly suspicious.

This threatened bitch. Cindy was now fighting a snicker and a smirk. Oh, it was time to handle this Olivia Pope style.

"Me and Reezy? Oh, we go back since grade school when we started shooting hoops together." Cindy grinned, nudging Riley amiably. "From rivals to best friends right, Reez?" She winked at him.

He smirked and nudged her arm with his lightly. "For life, girl." He replied, finally sounding like her nigga again. Cindy took pride in this while she focused her attention on Tish again. At least the bitch was now correcting herself, her face in particular. She put on a good act, looking interested and a lot less hostile and suspicious at Cindy. She was no fool. And Cindy had wanted to make it very clear that she and Riley were tight. As in: don't get cute or try any type of fuck shit with me, especially in front of him.

"Oh, wait a minute. You're Cindy, aren't you?" Tish questioned, in surprise. Cindy raised an eyebrow with a brief nod. "Right, we were in a few of the same classes last year!" She said as if it were a complete coincidence.

That's right, bitch.

"Mm-hm!" Cindy nodded, matching her fake-ass voice.

"I didn't know you were friends with Esco," She smiled, placing an unnecessary hand on his arm. "Small world."

"Too small." Cindy replied with ease, knowing neither of them were really listening anymore. Their attention was shifted back to each other.

"So Esco," Tish spoke to him again, as if Cindy was invisible. "When we gonna chill? Tonight?" She asked pointedly.

Riley chuckled slightly, but then surprisingly glanced slightly at Cindy. He must've felt her glare again. When he looked back at Tish he seemed to have lowered his voice a little, as if he was trying to talk to her privately. "I got plans for tonight already but uh, how bout tomorrow?"

Tish had the nerve to pout. "You have to keep those plans? Because I had a few plans of my own that I was thinking about including you in." She spoke quietly, the allure in her voice very obvious. Riley bit his lower lip as he eyed her up and down. Then he gently grabbed her arm and leaned in to say something in her ear. Cindy couldn't completely hear from where she stood, but it sounded like he said at one point, "Don't play with me." Whatever it had been, it had caused Tish to giggle and lick her lips. Ew.

When Riley pulled away, he gave her a wink. "Tomorrow."

"Tomorrow then." Tish agreed, not taking her eyes off his. "I'll text you."

"Please do." Cindy rolled her eyes but Riley didn't notice. She had a feeling Tish might've though. Right after she did it, she made eye contact with her.

"Deal." She said, her eyes still locked on Cindy's before she looked back up to Riley's. It was only for a moment, but long enough for a purpose. "Bye, Esco." She told him quietly before stretching up to reach her lips to his.

Cindy's eyes widened at the chick's boldness. She had barely brushed his lips, a kiss that was used specifically to tease and leave wanting more, but that didn't matter. She met Riley once. She didn't know him to be kissing on him like that.

She pulled back just as easily as she had pulled in, and Riley was leaning into her right after, clearly expecting more. Tish winked at him before stepping out of their slight embrace, causing Riley to emit a slight whine. She only blew him a kiss in response before starting to turn her back on him to go find herself a table.

"You cold, girl." He called after her, his eyes on her disappearing behind.

"Text me." She replied over her shoulder. Then she gave a haphazard wave. "Oh, bye Cindy."

Cindy didn't even dignify that with a response. She turned to look at Riley, who was still watching her. Cindy lost her patience for a moment and shoved his shoulder, snapping him out of it and staggering him a bit.

"Yo!" He snapped in surprise, turning to glare at her.

"Yeah hi," Cindy snipped back. "If you're done staring at her ass, we can actually leave now." She replied. Riley sucked his teeth and led the way out of Luke's. Because of the restaurant's location, Riley had to leave his car at a parking garage because there was nowhere else he could park without risk of a ticket, so they started slowly that way.

"Damn C, why'd you shove me like that?" Riley complained, giving her another glare as he rolled his shoulder. "You must've forgot that you hit like a dude."

"No, but apparently I forget that you whine like a little bitch." Cindy rolled her eyes.

"Um, the fuck's wrong witchu?"

"Nothing."

"No, it must be somethin'." He pressed. "You need to take it down a notch." Cindy bit the inside of her cheek. He was baiting her and she knew it.

"Whatever, Riley."

"Ooh, it must be serious if you callin' me Riley." He kept on, obnoxiously. She tried to ignore him. "Still no comment? What's up, C?"

"Okay, what the fuck, Reez?" Cindy snapped, stopping in the middle of the sidewalk to face him.

"What the fuck what?" He answered dumbly.

"What the fuck are you pushin' my buttons for and bein' an ass right now?"

"I'm bein' an ass? Bitch, you shoved me!"

"Only cuz I was ready to leave and you were bein' a pig!"

"Being a pig how? Cuz I watched her walk away?" Riley gave her a look like she was stupid. "If a chick shakes her ass for me, especially a fat ass like that, I'm going to watch. That's just common sense in my book. Sorry." He told her snidely.

Cindy just blinked at him before scoffing and starting to walk again. "You're disgusting."

She heard him let out a chuckle as he fell into step with her. "So we get to the point."

"What point?"

"This attitude right now isn't about me at all. It's about Tish."

"Excuse you?"

"You don't like her so that means you don't want me to like her. More importantly, you don't want her to like me." He said almost cockily. "It's not that hard, just say it if it's true."

"It's not!"

"Wish I could believe that." Riley shrugged a shoulder. Cindy stopped again and turned to glare at him.

"Alright Reezy, you really wanna do this?" He stared at her blankly, only shrugging a shoulder again in response to her.

Cindy narrowed her eyes at him. "Okay." She muttered, walking to the edge of the sidewalk to sit on a street bench. She crossed her arms and stared at Riley, waiting for him to slowly make his way over and sit on the opposite side.

"Since you really wanna do this now, fine. Let's just lay it all on the table, real talk." Riley nodded silently. "Truth? No, I don't like her. Quite frankly, I can't stand the girl. I think she's rude, I think she's catty, I think she's mean, and most importantly, I think she's fake. And you should know more than anybody that I don't do fake people." Riley rolled his eyes. "But as for what just happened in there and her… whatever relationship with you, I couldn't give two fucks about it. That doesn't concern me and it's not my business."

"Yeah, I highly doubt that." Riley cut in, giving her a look.

"Doubt what?"

"You not giving a fuck about 'our whatever' relationship." He shot back using air-quotes. "You obviously feel some type of way or this conversation wouldn't be coming out like this on the damn sidewalk. Matter of fact, this conversation wouldn't be happenin' at all."

"You the one draggin' this out now."

"The fuck I am, I'm statin' facts," Riley told her hotly. "You don't like Tish. Therefore you don't want me liking her and you don't want her liking me, bottom line."

"Don't fucking put words in my mouth, okay?" Cindy hated when people did that. "Do I dislike the girl? Hell yes. Do I think she's a bitch? Absolutely. Do I think anything good will come out of you two? Fuck no." She noticed how the more she spoke, the angrier Riley seemed to get, although he sat silent. But she didn't care. "Sorry, not sorry, Reez. She's a bitch. And she only hangs out with niggas she's interested in in fucking anyway. Nothing more."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't aware that you fucking knew her." Riley answered heatedly.

"It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out." It was Cindy's turn to shrug.

"Oh fuck all dat noise." Riley scoffed. "I know yo ass should be the very last to judge other people." He said nastily. Cindy stiffened as she looked at him.

"…And why's that?" She asked quietly. All the sudden the nigga wanted to clam up and not speak, looking away from her.

"Forget it." He muttered lowly.

"Oh naw nigga, you didn't mind talking shit a few seconds ago." She shot back, her voice rising, but she didn't care. "I asked you why!"

"And I said to drop it, Cindy." Riley hadn't raised his voice, but there was definitely a hard edge to it that matched hers. Cindy glowered at him, more than aware of what he meant. She took a pause before she spoke again in a calmer voice.

"Were you referring to my mom?" She asked, not taking her gaze off him.

Riley stared ahead, refusing to make eye contact with her yet, although his jaw was set. She was actually surprised that he replied.

"I didn't say it." He answered lowly. "You did." He finally shifted his eyes over to meet her glare. Cindy held the stare before finally looking forward.

"…Consider yourself free of plans for tonight." Was all she said before she rose from her seat.

"Oh, come on, C." Riley protested, standing up and reaching for her arm. Cindy jerked away from him, giving him a stern warning look not to try that again. "Don't do this, at least lemme drive you home."

"I have legs and can walk." She replied, her tone unnegotiable. "Enjoy yourself tonight." She tossed while passing by him.

"Cindy!" He called out to her, but of course didn't try to grab her again. She heard him let out an obscenity, a sign that he'd thankfully given up. Good. She'd be damned if she was spending another moment with him after his snide comment. As much as he knew about the bad situation going on with her mother, especially after yesterday, what he said was a low blow.

Whatever, fuck him. He can go cry about it to the thot.

Riley's POV

He stepped out of the car with a stupid smirk on his face, grabbing his newly opened bottle of Patrón from home with him. He was such a pro, he never worried about getting caught or having an accident. He locked his car before heading into the building. He nodded to the man at the front desk, who was most likely surprised to see someone who didn't live there entering so late.

"Sup." He greeted with a grin as he passed the desk, just to let him know he wasn't planning on shooting up the place.

"Hello," The man said questioningly. "May I help you with something?" He called after him.

"Nope, just visiting a friend." Riley responded while pressing the elevator button, causing the doors to open.

"Oh well then, have a good evening."

"Plan to." Riley snickered before the doors closed. He pressed the button for the top floor and leaned against the rail as he waited. He smirked just thinking about why he was at this place right now. Practically forced by guilt to drive his ass here. Take this long-ass ride up to the penthouse. All to console the white girl with a big-ass attitude.

But she is the bestie. Riley thought with an eyeroll. Even when her ass acts like a brat. He didn't really understand why she got all pissy with him to begin with. Yeah, he'd fucked up when he made that comment, but damn, she'd been bitchin' about Tish so much she'd ticked him off. He hadn't meant to take it there, she'd just pushed him.

What the fuck was her deal with Tish anyway? If you don't like someone, just stay out of their way, simple. The fact that she didn't like her wasn't really his problem. That was Cindy's shit to work out. But the girl shouldn't be catchin' an attitude with him just because he saw somethin' in her that Cindy obviously didn't.

Mainly dat ass though. Riley thought, feeling trippy as he made his way out of the elevator. Tish was sexy as fuck. And seemed nice as hell to Riley, shit. What nigga wouldn't like her? Cindy was just hatin'. Typical chick. She needed to quit that shit. It wasn't cute.

With these thoughts on his mind, Riley took another swig of the Patrón before he pounded on the door with authority. For once her door was locked, so that had to have meant that she was sleeping already. Shit, he hoped he hadn't just driven down here for no reason if her hard-sleepin' ass didn't hear him. Fuck naw, he'd make sure she heard him.

BAM-BAM-BAM! Riley banged on the door even harder. He then slumped his body against the door, pressing his ear against it. Within moments, he started to hear movement on the other side. He was taken off-guard when the door flung open, causing his leaning body to stumble hard through the threshold of the apartment.

"What the fuck?!" Cindy exclaimed, moving out of the way just in time to avoid Riley falling into her. He instead broke the face-first fall by landing on his knees and one hand, miraculously managing to hold onto his bottle.

"Saved it." Riley breathed a sigh of relief, holding the bottle in the air.

"Reezy? What in the fuck are you doing here and why the fuck were you bangin' on my door like you were the goddamn police?!" She exploded, slamming the door closed.

"Thanks for inviting me in." Riley mumbled, slowly rising to his feet.

"I didn't fucking invite you in." Cindy snapped at him. "It's after one in the morning, what in the hell are you doing here?"

"We need to talk, girl." Riley replied calmly. Then he extended the bottle to her. "Brought you a lil housewarming gift. From my home to yours." He winked.

"I don't want no damn…." Cindy trailed off for a minute. "Hold up. Why the hell is this bottle open?"

"I popped it before I left the house." Riley shrugged.

"Tell me you didn't fuckin' drive here." Cindy's glare was prominent as she waited for an answer. When she got a hesitant look in return, her eyes flashed. "What the hell is the matter with you, Riley?! Do you have a death wish?"

"Only to get you to notice me." Riley snickered.

"It's not a fuckin' joke, Riley!" She barked, snatching the bottle and practically slamming it on the small end table near the sofa. "You could've been killed! Someone else could've been killed! You could've gotten arrested…."

As she continued to chew him out, her voice began to fade and her words began to become a jumble to him. He was too preoccupied with what she was wearing that evening. Cindy had on a very tiny pair of pink boy shorts with a voluptuous leopard-print bra. She wore a short black robe to cover her body, but it was now partially open due to the hasty way it probably was tied.

"Are you even fuckin' listening to me?!" Cindy was suddenly in his face, looking a little too hostile. She actually looked like she could take a swing on a nigga. Riley needed to do damage control and turn it around ASAP.

"Yes Cindy, damn! Chill out." Riley told her, not backing down as he calmly raised his hands, to restrain her if need be. "Look, I know I shouldn't have, but I'm okay, right? I just really needed to talk to you."

"About what? Earlier?" Cindy scoffed. "If you're here about that, save it."

"I can't. I fucked up." Riley shrugged helplessly. "You know I didn't mean dat shit."

"And now what, Reezy?" Cindy crossed her arms, not letting up with the attitude. "You think just because you show up at my place, after midnight, barge into my house, and make a drunken excuse about your behavior means that I'm just supposed to accept that?"

"…There were a couple things wrong with that statement, but yeah, hopefully?" Riley tried.

"You're out of your mind." Cindy rolled her eyes and started for the door. "Out."

"Oh come on, girl!" Riley leapt in front of her and put his hand on the door, preventing her from opening it.

"MOVE." Cindy's eyes dangerously glowered as she looked up to face him.

"You'd really let me drive all the way home drunk though?" Riley tried a different tactic, sliding in between her and the door.

"I didn't say you had to drive home, but you need to get the fuck outta here. There's a hotel up the road and a YMCA down the block, take your pick." She replied flippantly.

"Dat's gay." Riley scoffed, deciding to try another different tactic. He suddenly looped his arm around her waist and swiftly spun to switch their positions, with Cindy now against the door.

"Freeman," Cindy growled, but looked a little less of a threat as she was pinned up against him. "What are you doing?"

"Why you gotta be like that, C?" Riley questioned, dropping his voice, his hands at her waist. "I came out of my way to make up for this morning. Drank me some courage. Risked my life. And this is how you gonna do me? Where's the love?"

Cindy rolled her eyes, but had the faintest glimmer of a grin she was trying to hold back. "Please spare me this sob story." Her voice had definitely lost the dangerous edge to it. This made Riley get brave.

"You know what always makes me feel better?" He smirked, his hands gently caressing her waist. "Kisses." His smirk deepened when she looked away from him, a pink tint blushing her cheek. Riley leaned in to softly kiss it before sliding his lips over to her ear. "Better yet: sex." He whispered, now pressing himself against her. He knew he had it in the bag once Cindy stifled a whimper-like moan. But of course, this girl would never go down without a struggle.

"Why don't you go see one of your hoes then? Like Tish?" She managed stubbornly while Riley sucked along her neck. He knew she was weakening. Her hands had somehow found themselves on Riley's shoulders, and yet she wasn't trying to shove him away.

Riley's hands started to roam her body while he spoke, slyly untying the robe and going inside. "When I'm with you, I ain't thinkin' bout nobody else." He whispered smoothly. He heard Cindy scoff.

"Yeah whatever. Try that line on somebody that actually falls for that bullshit." Riley chuckled at this, pulling his head back only a little so he could make eye contact with her. One of his hands slid up her body slowly until it reached her cheek, cupping it as he ran his thumb along her bottom lip. Cindy shivered in response. Riley decided to take a risk as he pressed against her more.

"You know, it turns me on when I see how jealous you get over me." He told her huskily. Cindy gasped, from both his statement and his hardness most likely. She blushed even more furiously while she scowled at him.

"Jealous? Over you? I don't think so." She practically spat with that attitude.

That sexy goddamn attitude.

Riley let out a hungered growl before he lost it. He crashed his lips into hers in a fever, wasting no time in yanking the robe down from her shoulders and onto the floor. Cindy barely fought him this time as she immediately kissed him back, her hands and arms now clutching around his body. Riley grabbed her left leg and propped it up to wrap around his hip, pulling her into him more as they kissed. Cindy moaned and squeezed around him tightly. Riley took the small opportunity to gloat, pressing his lips against her ear as he finally responded to her.

"Yeah… just keep tellin' yourself that."

"Go to hell." Cindy hissed back, her fingers digging pleasurably into his shoulders. Riley growled as he pressed his body to hers to brace her back against the door, then grabbed her other leg to lift it up around his waist. Her ass now sat in his hands the way he strongly held her up. Cindy moaned and tossed her head back when Riley gave her a hard squeeze with both hands, taking the moment to hungrily stare at her reaction. When she met his eyes, he leaned in to catch her off-guard with a slow and soft lick to her waiting lips.

"I'll meet you there, bay."

Cindy's POV

Her eyes squinted open at the bright light that peeked its way in through her window.

Is it seriously morning already? Cindy thought groggily. She felt as though she'd barely slept. She began to stir but then realized her movement was restricted due to the heavy arm tossed across her body. Cindy slowly turned to look back at Riley, who was lightly snoring and naked beside her.

That's because you HAVE barely slept. Cindy thought to herself with an eyeroll, now remembering more of last night. She had tiredly gone to bed at midnight anyway, had been woken up around one in the morning, and then she didn't actually get back to sleep until maybe three or four.

Cindy closed her eyes again, thinking about everything that had transpired. She must've been the drunk one for allowing last night to go down the way it did. Riley's behavior yesterday was unacceptable. Shit, his behavior last night was even worse. She was mad at herself for giving in to him as easy as she had.

But damn… it was just something about the way he had with her. And last night had been no exception.

Cindy opened her eyes when Riley's snoring was interrupted as he began to stir as well. She felt him tighten his arm around her more snugly as he pulled her close. Suddenly, his lips were at her ear.

"Good morning, baby." He said huskily, before kissing her lobe.

"Morning." Cindy responded quietly. She gasped when Riley's kisses continued to her cheek and moved down to her neck. "Reezy," She whispered softly.

"Hmm?" He continued kissing her, slowly sliding a hand down her hip, around to the front of her lower abdomen, and attempting to slide down farther.

"Reezy," Cindy breathlessly said again, grabbing his hand and rolling over to face him.

"Well if you'd rather go a round, that's fine with me too." Riley smirked, glancing down as he pretended to inch his lower half closer.

"Knock it off." Cindy blushed, fighting a smile.

"Damn boo, I'm just tryna start the morning off right." He grinned.

"Yeah, I bet." Cindy gave him an eyeroll.

"You know I ain't lyin'." He told her, pulling her close as he started kissing on her neck again.

"You…are way too lovey this morning." Cindy managed, trying to keep control. But Riley was sliding his lips further and further down.

"What can I say?" Riley murmured in between his kisses. "I woke up happy…as you clearly saw."

Cindy laughed out loud as he motor-boated her breasts loudly, tickling her. "Boy!" She smiled, shaking her head. "Your mood is at a 10."

"I had a good night." Riley winked at her when he pulled his head up. Then he lifted his face to kiss her on the lips. "Whatchu want for breakfast?" He asked her.

"You're gonna make it?" Cindy raised a brow.

"Don't act like I don't cook." Riley rolled his eyes. "You want an omelet?"

"…Sure." Cindy was surprised at his offer.

"Aiight. I'm starvin' so I'm gonna go make the food now." He said as he slowly rose off her and began to get off the bed. Cindy watched him, pulling the sheet to cover her nude body.

"…Reez?"

"Hm?" He glanced at her while putting on his boxers.

"Didn't we say we weren't gonna be makin' each other breakfast and shit?" She asked with a half-grin.

"Correction. We said we wouldn't be bringin' each other breakfast in bed like we were married and shit. And trust me, I ain't. You got legs and can walk. Bring your ass to the kitchen."

"Whateva." Cindy chuckled.

"Yeah whateva." Riley smirked, winking at her before he headed out of the room.

Cindy shook her head and leaned back on her pillow, taking it all in. Riley was in rare form. All the kisses, the playfulness, and even the sweetness? She knew his game. He was going to pretend like nothing had happened and that everything was all good. Typical Riley.

Not that Cindy was going to hang on and obsess about what had happened, but she at least had been hoping to talk about it. Especially to explain the fact that she was not jealous. Tish was just bad news. Unfortunately, Riley was too dumb to see anything past her beauty. Men.

Fuck it though. Cindy would let it go for now. If he wanted to hang with trash, that was perfectly okay. Shit, she knew he would probably see her later today as they'd planned. But whatever. Riley really wasn't Cindy's responsibility as far as their "relationship" was considered. So it was his decision.

…Cindy would just make sure to be there for the inevitable "I-told-you-so."

Hey baby, hey baby, heeyy! :D TWO updates relatively close to each other? Say whaaaatt?!

I know! Be proud of me? I'm trying! XD This chapter flowed sooo easy I was surprised. The scoop is that I took a short hiatus from this story because of a situation I was going through not too entirely long ago while I was writing for it. Long story lol. But the good news is that it's over and in the past, and suddenly I've got new motivation to write this again:)

It really blows my mind and makes me so happy to know that you guys still like, read, and review this story too. Personally, I never thought this story was that good, but you guys just continue to lift me up with your opinions and comments. And they mean the world:)

Can't wait to get back into this story and come out with another chapter soon. Thanks so much for the continued support. Love you all!
