Eleanor couldn't help but let her mind wander to what her brother and Takuma could be up to. She knew Zero wasn't the warmest person out there….more of an icy blizzard with eyes that cut like steel. Eleanor let out a soft sigh stopping in her tracks to clear her mind of the unnecessary distraction that was the inevitable outcome between the two men on her mind.

"You seem distracted" Senri's monotone voice had Eleanor glancing at the male beside her with a slight frown. Her eyelashes brushed against her cheekbones as she closed her eyes, letting her eyebrows furrow just the tiniest bit to show her frustration.

"I just need to focus" She casually placed her hands in the leather jacket, swallowing her more petite frame. She dropped her shoulders to give off a relaxed air.

"We shouldn't have split up" Senri's voice had more bite to it than Eleanor's heard before, making her tense just the slightest amount.

"You're right, but also wrong. Us splitting up gives us a higher chance of success in the hunt. The outcome is tilted more in our favor, don't you see?" She didn't glance back at Senri as she strode forward towards the desolated part of the city. The cracks in the ground spun in a beautifully broken pattern as if showing the way to ancient secrets. The tiniest bit of greenery poked out of beneath the rubble of broken buildings and crumbling arches, searching for any source of light. The noise of life and warmth was soon nothing more than an echo in the wind blowing through the ruins of what was once a bustling part of the city. Not many wandered willingly into the depth of the ruins unless there was a test of bravery involved.

"Maybe...," Senri whispered before following after the shorter girl. Despite his slightly hunched-over figure and messy bedhead, his stride was elegant and poised. His dull eyes were blank and void of emotion. It reminded Eleanor of a doll, but the slight furrow in his sculpted brows told another story.

"You and Takuma must be close. You're worried."

"What is your relationship with Takuma? You call him by his first name." Eleanor kicked a stray pebble into an empty building listening to the echoes quietly.
"That's what gave it away? He's just friendly, nothing more. You should know him enough to understand how…sunny…he is."

"You smell like him as well" Eleanor stooped low to inspect a nearby broken window, her figure freezing just the slightest.

"That's creepy."

"You're a vampire."

"It's not much of a secret anymore." She figured everyone knew about her and Zero. Gossip spreads fast.

"I suppose not. Why Takuma?"
"You ask many questions for someone I pegged as more of the quiet, solitary type." Eleanor glanced back at Senri with a tired sigh. She pulled her red scarf closer to her, gripping her brother's leather jacket closer to her body to breathe his comforting scent in to ease the slight panic in her chest. She wasn't one to have panic attacks or any bout of anxiety, and it made her even more nervous. What was wrong with her? She could feel it ever since the night Kaname decided to add her to his sick game that her somewhat peaceful life was starting to crumble at the edges.

"I sense a Level E" Senri's voice had Eleanor looking in the direction his eyes stood fixed on. It was the cemetery.

"How cliche" Eleanor slipped a small dagger into her hand, placing her arm around Senri. She leaned her more petite frame against his, her curves filling in the places so that the two of them fit together like broken puzzle pieces.

"Is this your strategy?"

"I want to draw it out," Eleanor huffed, digging her elbow into him slightly, but he didn't flinch. He had one hand in his jacket pocket and the other he casually draped over her shoulder. He made no further attempts at conversation as he seemed almost to fall asleep standing up. Dark clouds crept in overhead, causing the little bit of sunshine to disperse behind the thick shadows. Eleanor and Senri made their way across the cemetery, graves littering the place haphazardly. As the pair passed a stone figure of a weeping angel is when Senri whipped his hand to block an attack that would have pierced his neck. Eleanor took the chance to spring forward, her red scarf flying behind her like the red strings of fate that bound her to her bloodied path of vengeance. Her small dagger glinted dangerously. She twisted her body just enough to jam her knife upwards to make contact with the Level E's face. The Level E jumped away clumsily, her knife leaving its mark along the ridge of its brow and into their disappearing hairline.

"An angel," it rasped with wild red eyes focused on Eleanor. Senri stepped forward in front of Eleanor, causing her to grimace at the act of chivalry.

"I don't need protection" Eleanor stepped up beside him, her gaze focused solely on the threat. Her eyes jerked to Senri when his hand was placed firmly on her head to keep her in place. She almost huffed in indignation at what she perceived as him treating her as a mere child. He brought his free hand up, and with a flash of his sharp fangs, a bloody whip protruded from his pointer finger to attack the Level E relentlessly. The Level E let out an inhuman screech followed by a deep guttural growl. Jumping towards them, the Level E was pierced through the shoulder, giving Eleanor enough time to slide in front of Senri and throw her dagger with enough force for the blade to slide right between the eyes and into the stone pillar behind it. The cemetery was quiet except for dust falling and the wind blowing through the space around them.

"I'm not a child, and I would appreciate you not treating me as such" Eleanor turned towards Senri for a split second and was surprised to see his gaze trained on her intensely. She went to retrieve her dagger, yanking it out of the stone pillar with a grunt.

"It wasn't my intention. I wanted to see how you would react" His blunt answer had Eleanor feeling unsure of how she thought about the male. He confused her.

"We should head back" she brushed past him, only for her to stop and inspect his outstretched hand. Specifically, her gaze was focused on the now healed cut on his pointer finger from where his fang had broken the skin to release his blood whip. The tiniest drop of blood dangled teasingly in front of her, and before she could comprehend what she was doing, she reached forward to grab his hand. She cradled his hand gently with both of hers as she dragged her tongue up his finger, relinquishing in the taste of the salt on his skin and the richness of his blood. If Takuma tasted like winter, Senri reminded her of the ocean. He was like a deep whiskey in how he burned her so perfectly. It warmed her whole being, and she craved to drown in him. As his blood brushed her senses and her tongue relished in the taste of his nectar Eleanor knew she would willingly cave to this feeling if she needed to. His compel reminded her of that woman just enough for her to glance up at Senri. Her lips brushed his finger delicately as their gazes stayed locked on each other. Her eyes were a deep red, slowly fading back to pale lilac. Eleanor felt suffocated by the intense gaze that fell on her. His cobalt blue eyes seized her in place.

"They'll be looking for us" Senri slid his gaze away from Eleanor to look at the overhead dark cloud. "It's sure to be a bad storm" Eleanor merely placed her hands in her jacket, slipping her dagger in the inner folds.
