Chapter 36: Brain Storming.

Aiden groaned loudly as his mind reconnected to his body and, as he opened his eyes, his cybernetic eye focused instantly while his organic one took its sweet time, making one side of his vision blurry and giving him a very swimmy feeling.

Suddenly three faces appeared over his head, two of which he loved so completely that it hurt, "Welcome back, sunshine, how are you feeling?" Ice asked, running a bio scanner over him, which batched his body in green and blue laser light.

"Like I lost an argument with a bus," he groaned, and Ice grinned.

"Close, it was a lot of tanks and, to be fair, you gave them some serious what for, you gave dying heroicly your absolute best shot but you just couldn't make the grade, but, on the plus side, you now have a full set on the cybernetics, one arm, one eye, and now one leg, Spike finished upgrading your spare arm and, in his words, 'It's better than his original,' plus, he built you a new leg to boot, pun utterly intended of course, so, long story short, you suck at dying and you're going to be just fine, now I'm going to leave you in the care of these two who haven't moved an inch from this bed rail since you got brought in here, be warned, they will hug you to death," Ice said, grinning.

Aiden groaned, "Has anyone ever told you your bed side manners suck ass?" he said, and Ice roared with laughter and nodded.

"Don't get paid to coddle you, just fix you up and put your cute nearly entirely cybernetic ass back into the fight," she said, grinning, and a black shape moved past them in the background and Ice's head turned to follow it, "Speaking of cute assess, is that Shadow?" she said, more to herself than him, but Aiden caught it and sensed an opportunity for payback.

"Since when do you look at anyone that isn't human? Or have you finally come to the realisation that our kind is boring as fuck and that there's a whole universe out there?" he said, and Ice balked and turned to look at him, just as both Macha and T'Shara turned to look at her, despite having not said a word yet.

Ice suddenly looked very uncomfortable and nervous, "What? I can look, can't I? He's pretty, I don't know why he's pretty, I mean, I've spent my entire life looking at humans but now theres a Xeno and he's pretty," she said, quite defensibly and grumbly, she was clutching her scanner against her arm as she watched the male Xenomorph investigating every part of the medical bay, since Reggie and his family had been transfered to one of the Guardian Core vessels under the care of a specialist carer among the Battle Angels, they had training in all areas and aftercare and, thanks to the kiss from a queen, getting inside his mind was easier for them, but it had obviously left Shadow feeling a little lost.

"Hey, Ice, I'm the last person who could ever judge you for it, look at me, I'm a fucking human cyborg who love the most beautiful Xeno queen in the universe and the most beautiful Yautja huntress who graces this universe, last thing you're gonna get from me is judgement," he said, grinning at her as he sat up, assisted by both of his girls.

Ice made a strangled, groaning noise, "Ugggghhh, why does life have to be so fucking complicated?" she groaned.

"It's only complicated if you make it so, in reality it's really simple, girl meets exotic boy from a far off land who is strange and different in all the right ways, which make him both enticing and exciting, a part of her feels like she's betraying herself because he's so different to what she's always told herself that she wants and now she feels guilty about it, but, really, all she needs to do is realise that there are no rules, not really," he said, and Ice stared at him in utter surprise.

"When the hell did you become the love philosopher?" she asked, and he grinned, lifting his new arm to inspect it before lifting the bed sheet to inspect his rather shiny new leg.

"Bout the same time I fell in love with two girls at the same time and both of them fell in love with both me and each other," he said with a grin, reaching up to hold two very different hands at the same time.

"I could put in a good word with Shadow if you'd like," Macha said, watching Ice chewing the decision in her mind as she watched the big male Xeno, who had now taken to living up to his name by following Zachee around the Ghost Shadow's bio lab which was next door to their med bay.

"No!" Ice exclaimed quickly, making them all jump and suddenly she looked real embarassed, "If I take this step I want it to be on my terms because I want to, not because I was pushed into it, plus, it wouldn't be fair on him, he doesn't need or deserve to be put on the spot like that," she said, and, with that, she shot out of the room, pausing only to glance at the big male Xeno who was now carrying Zachee's cases and helping her set things up, she tried to shake her head clear but the little fluffy xeno shaped thought dislodged only to scamper off, hissing and screeching deep into the back of her mind where she couldn't get it out and began setting up its own little hive back there.

"Oh, she's got a raging case of Xeno fever and she doesn't know what do about it," Aiden said, chuckling to himself, and Macha tilted her head curiously.

"Xeno fever?" she asked, and he laughed again.

"Yeah, it's a real thing, you know, symptoms include an uncontrollable urge to grab the prettiest Xeno you can find and snog their face off while stroking the hell out of their tail, both of us both have it," he said, indicating T'Shara, who just grinned and nodded at her, making her laugh.

"So what's the diagnosis on why we love her then?" Macha asked, indicating T'Shara, who made a mock insulted face and pushed her arm playfully.

"Oh, that's easy, acute prey syndrome, on a deep subconscious level we both love being hunted by irresistible huntresses so we make ourselves irresistible prey so that only the absolute prettiest and most determined of huntresses could catch us and, hey, look who made the catch," he said playfully, and it earned them both a growl from T'Shara who leaned down to kiss him but just after their lips met the damn broke in both her and in Macha and the pair dog piled him, throwing their arms around him and sandwiching him between them in a crush of interspecies feminine flesh.

"I've never felt scared before, Aiden, not once not in my whole life, but I felt it twice in one day, first when I thought we were going to lose Macha and then again when I thought we'd lost you, I felt so lost and alone, so scared that my loves were gone and I was all alone, I don't ever want to feel that way ever again, I would rather die at your sides knowing that we die the same way that we live and love, together, than ever be separated from you ever again," T'Shara said, her pain pulsing through into both of them and instantly the pair of them began apologizing to their emotional huntress while cradling her.

They rode through her fear and her anger, then held her tight and smothered her in love, keeping her safe and warm between them, Macha's tail made contact with Aiden's leg and it made a metallic ping noise and she looked down his body before looking back up with pain in her eyes, but he just smiled.

"I'd give up the whole thing to keep you safe, least this one didn't hurt like the arm did, plus, now when I break off my foot in the arse of the guys who did this it'll be easier just to bolt a new one on," he said, and, from his left shoulder, he heard a soft snigger from T'Shara, who was trying her hardest to be angry with him and failing, her love for him and her relief that he was ok were breaking her down, her loves were still with her and were still alive and well and it meant everything to her.

After an hour of just clinging together Queen Bee appeared in the medical bay, "God, when life gets wiped out of this universe it's going to be you and the damn roaches left, ain't it, so, tell me, did you punch the Reaper in the face this time or just wave hello again?" she said, grinning at him, and he laughed softly.

"Just waved, he wasn't there for me that day, just the fuckers in the tanks," he said, and she burst out laughing, shaking her head.

"Well, if you're good, we need you three out in the conference room, we're on our way to the Medina system as the honored guests of Clan Mason, but we got their Grand Patriach and Matriach on board, along with their son and daughter and they really want to go through a debrief with us and, since they royally pulled our collective arse out of the fire, it would be a smart move to work with them," she said, and Reaper nodded.

"Roger that, boss, we'll be there in a moment," he said as T'Shara squeezed him tighter and Macha coiled herself protectively around them both, she smiled and nodded before turning and coming face to face with the other three Xenos of Macha's hive and nearly jumping out of her skin.

"Jesus Christ, guys! Stop bloody doing that! That's the third time today you three have nearly made me have to go change my bloody underwear!" she exclaimed as the three Xenos sniggered.

"Can't help it, it's fun," Liquid said, smiling, and Queen Bee sighed heavily.

"Fine, but, I swear to god, if you three put resin on any part of my ship you're going out of a damn airlock," she said, stomping off down the hall and the three of them turned to look at their queen and her two loves.

"She's kidding, she'd never hurt you, she's just grumpy when someone makes her break her face like that," Reaper said, and the three Xenos smiled more reassured now.

"Thank you, our king, for bringing us into your home and your hive," Liquid said, smiling.

"King?" he asked, and Liquid nodded.

"You are the lifemate of our queen, this makes you our king and it makes lady T'Shara our princess," he said and Aiden looked at her.

"Hmmmm, princess, I can see that," he said, and she punched his arm.

"I am no princess! I am a huntress," she exclaimed, and both Macha and Aiden both burst laughing.

"And our hunting princess is back," he said with a grin, making T'Shara punch his arm again, but she was smiling slyly and Macha was grinning at them both too, the relief was obvious in their huntress and she was clinging to them both, and cuddly, needy T'Shara was really cute.

But, finally, Aiden managed to drag himself out of the bed and realized that he was dressed in one of those open arsed hospital gowns which was made even more evident when Macha used her tail to flick the gown open and rubbed her tail tip on his bare rear end, the soft growl that accompanied it was one of deeply set need and want and Aiden couldn't help but tease them both a bit by slapping his arse cheeks with both hands, "Like what you see, ladies? Prime human rump steak and one of the only parts of me that's utterly metal free," he said playfully.

Macha and T'Shara both glanced at one another and then they both growled and, faster than lighting, both flashed out a hand each and gripped a buttock each, "I disagree, our male, these feel like they are carved from steel," T'Shara growled.

"I agree, my huntress, but I believe it warrants further and more intensive and thorough investigation," Macha said, squeezing his buttock and making him laugh.

"As much as I'd like that we'd better get to the briefing guys, so, briefing now, ass grabbing later," he said, and they looked at one another.

"We will hold you to this promise, our male," T'Shara growled deeply, and Aiden nodded.

"I always keep my promises," he said, and that's when he saw something that made him freeze solid.

"Is that Whisper in there!?" he exclaimed, looking into one of the other pods in the medical bay as he caught sight of T'Sall sat at her bed side, holding her paw in his hand while stroking her head.

"Yes, she was was gravely wounded but the Battle Angels saved her life," T'Shara said, joining him along with Macha.

Without a seconds hesitation Aiden stepped out and straight into Whisper's room, making T'Sall look up as he heard the clanking of Aiden's metal foot on the deck plate.

"How is she?" he asked, and T'Sall smiled softly and a little weakly.

"She's alive thanks to the Battle Angels, I have never felt fear like this, Reaper, I didn't know that fear like this exists," he said softly, sounding both doubtful of himself and confused.

Aiden put a hand on the big hybrid's shoulder and T'Shara put one on the other side, "This is love, my friend, bitter sweet and beautiful," he said.

"We sympathise with you, Seeker, till I was hit with the realisation that I could actually lose the ones that have captured my heart I experienced a fear and a pain I never knew possible and not one I ever wish to repeat, from now on I am glued to their sides, where they go so do I, if we die we will do it together as we live and love," T'Shara said, and T'Sall looked up at her and nodded.

"I did not not know that fear like this existed until I held my soul mate in my arms and actually felt her life force leaving her, having to use my Dream Warrior abilities to hold her soul tethered to her body to keep her with me until the Battle Angels could fix her body," T'Sall said, and Aiden looked at him in amazement.

"You can do that?" he said, and T'Sall nodded.

"it is not an ability that is either widely known or used," he said, and suddenly, out of nowhere, Aiden actually hugged T'Sall.

"Thank you, my friend, for keeping our friend here with us, you have our deepest gratitude," he said, and T'Sall just broke and, out of nowhere, he embraced Aiden and held to him tightly.

"Thank you, I know I haven't known her long but my soul is bound to hers and I couldn't bare to spend a single second of my life not at her side," he said, and Aiden nodded in agreement.

"I know what you mean, even in the digital hell that I was in during my time in the GRIM in the back of my mind all I could feel was pain imagining how I was going to hurt my two beloved ones by not returning to them as I had promised to do," he said.

"I will not leave her, as long as she is in this bed this is where I will be, my place is at her side, protecting her and supporting her, I will stroke her soul and soothe her every fear as is my duty as the one who loves her," he said, and Aiden nodded.

Once T'Sall let go, Aiden and the girls let him go and he sat back down and took up his guardianship of his beloved feline, Aiden went to the changing room to put on an inner suit and Macha suddenly looked curious and looked up, "Jet, why are you trying to peek on your king?" she said, and suddenly the shadows morphed into a very guilty and nervous looking female Xeno.

"I-I-I am sorry, my queen, I did not mean anything by it, I swear, S-S-Shadow was telling me that our king is indestructible and is made of metal, I merely wished to see," she said very guiltily while crunching up into a sitting position and wrapping her tail around herself protectively.

"Not entirely made of metal, Jet, just one arm, one shoulder, one eye, a piece of my skull, one leg, half of my ribs, shit... ok, yeah, I'm made out of fucking metal," Aiden said, appearing from between the lockers dressed in his skin tight inner suit and Jet looked up at him and Macha tilted her head before sniffing the air around her, now the young Xeno looked even more guilty and nervous.

"Your king is off limits, my adopted daughter, I will forgive this only once and only because I know the lure of his beauty, I won't forgive again, understood?" Macha growled, and Jet nodded, both relived and thankful.

"If you need help hunting, simply ask and I will aid you," Macha said, and Jet looked amazed and surprised.

"T-T-Truly, my queen? Y-Y-You would do that for me?" she exclaimed, and Macha nodded.

"You are my adopted children now, you are my hive and I protect and aid my hive in any way I can," she said, and suddenly Jet launched herself forward and threw her arms around her neck.

"Thank you, my queen!" she exclaimed, before scampering off to find her siblings, which wasn't very hard as Liquid appeared in the corridor a moment later with Missy riding on his back like a giant black horsie.

"Uncle Aiden, you're ok! Thank the gods!" Missy yelled, leaping off Liquid's back and into his arms.

"Hey, kiddo, yeah, I'm ok, got me yet another metal body part but I'm good, and I'm glad you're ok," he said, hugging the young feline tightly to his chest.

"Yeah, I'm good, and look, uncle Aiden, I've got siblings now! I have big friendly Xeno siblings! I have two brothers and two sisters now, I'm so happy!" she exclaimed happily, hugging Liquid as she was put down and the big friendly male Xeno coiled his tail around his adoptive sister before placing her back on his back again and, with Jet in hot pursuit, scampered off into the ship like a knight charging into battle on her trusty steed.

"Only on this ship is it considered a normal day when a Felenis is riding a friendly Xeno around the ship like a horse," Aiden said, watching Jet and Liquid vanish around the corner and T'Shara laughed softly, then Aiden turned to Macha with a curious look, "So, what was that about in the locker room?" he asked, and Macha just smiled at him.

"Oh, she was just admiring you and trying to catch a glimpse of you naked," Macha said, very matter of factly, and T'Shara's mandibles clicked and flared till Macha patted her shoulder.

"Don't worry, my exquisite huntress, she is no threat to either of us, and she meant no harm or intrusion, she was merely curious and wished to know what her king, the human male who has her queen's heart, looks like, she's a human hunter herself and she doesn't know how to handle it or what to do, she's had no real experience or action with humans and now she's presented with all these beautiful creatures around her and she's fighting her instincts to grab one and scamper off into the shadows with it like a child protecting its favorite toy, she just needs the right guidance, they all do," she said, and Aiden laughed.

"Well, then, she picked the right queen, didn't she?" he said with a sly grin, and she stroked his jaw tenderly with her tail tip, such beauty and danger in that one little piece of her, her armor was currently stored in her little collar so he got the full effect of her bare tail.

"Indeed, now, come on, we shouldn't keep our guest waiting," she said, and Aiden turned and headed past the game of Xeno tag that appeared to happening in the middle decks and into the conference room where everyone, bar Whisper and T'Sall, were gathered, oh, and Pegasus, who was piloting the ship, but in their place were four new comers, two of which Aiden recognized as Jack Mason and his lifemate, Tik eleth Mason, the Grand Patriarch and Matriarch of Clan Mason and the founders and leaders of the Guardian Core.

"Ahhh, greetings, Reaper, glad you could finally join us, and that you brought Macha and Inferno with you," Queen Bee said, gesturing to the seats prepared for them, once again, both Reaper and T'Shara were treated to the joys of watching Macha's on going battle to understand household furniture, an epic saga that would never die in its entertainment value and, to be fair, most of those gathered around the table would rather spend two hours of their life watching the big Xeno hybrid queen trying to figure out a chair to, say, watching something that involved sparkling vampires, besides, Macha vs chairs had much more plot and a whole lot less brooding, though, as she wasn't wearing her armor, currently there was just as much nudity and it was definitely more tasteful and palatable in Macha vs Chair, especially when she was bending over to closely inspect said chair closely and her tail was waggling about, enough that Queen Bee felt it her duty to draw attention to it.

"Ok, Reaper, when you're quite done admiring and staring intently at Macha's rear end we have a debriefing to get done and some introductions to make," she said, making Aiden flush red as Macha instantly looked over her shoulder to catch him looking and T'Shara tried to look at her own rear already sat snugly in its seat with a slight flicker of wishfulness, wishing he was looking at hers too.

Aiden felt the eyes of the new comers upon him so he decided to own it, "Hey, if my beauty queen is going to wave something that beautiful and perfect at me I'm going to take great pride in admiring her very intently, same if Inferno happens to be waving Yautja perfection at me, I'm going to look and not be ashamed of it," he said.

Suddenly Jack Mason started laughing and it was a deep rumbly noise, like gravel in a cement mixer, "Oh, he would do very well in our clan, don't you think so, my heart?" he said, turning to Tik eleth, who smiled and nodded, causing all her dread ornaments, of which there were a great many, to jingle like wind chimes.

"He shows his pride in not being ashamed to show his love and his attraction to his loved ones before everyone, he would be most popular on our homeworld, and I do believe for him we would have had to have held a battle royale or a great hunt to seal his fate," she said, and both of her children laughed.

"I think he might have had a bit of an advantage, what with all those cybernetics, Matriarch," her daughter, Sela eleth said, smiling broadly, she was a perfect mixture of human and Yautja, and Aiden could see why she was referred to as the Arrow of Cupid, well, that, and she was a renowned sniper, just like Whisper.

"Unless one or more of his pursuers was a Dream Warrior, of course, wouldn't have stood a chance then," the other of Jack and Tik's children said, this was Ryan Mason, the renowned beast master, due to his incredible talent for being able to calm and turn any wild beast to his will and, like his father, a famous Dream Warrior.

Both his mother and his sister laughed at that, "Hahahaha, that reminds me of what happened when David and Marie's eldest son, Dante, came of age, goddess, do you remember the stampede to the arbiters office to register a wish to hunt?" Sela said, laughing, and Tik eleth laughed hard, also nodding.

"poor boy didn't know what hit him, there was a queue that ran from his house all the way to the arbiters office," Tik said, chuckling.

Aiden raised an eyebrow and cocked his head curiously as he looked at Jack, who smiled, "Pure blood humans on our worlds are always in high demand, quite a few families moved out there before the hybrid wars and we have quite a healthy pure blood population of most races among our numbers, on our world anyone is free to marry whoever they wish of course, but in order to prevent misunderstandings and problems if you are only attracted to members of your own race we ask that on the day that you come of age you register that wish with the arbiters office, it is in no way any kind of slight on anyone and everyone knows it and accepts it, if that's the way you are that's the way you are, no one has any right to judge another's love, it is one of the core foundations of our clan's society, but registering that at the arbiters office means that no other member of another race may pursue you unless you go to the arbiters and have the decision reversed, which you must do alone to prevent anything like duress or coercion, we have very strict rules on such things," Jack said proudly.

"So what's the whole queueing up at the arbiters on his birthday about then?" Macha asked, and Tik eleth smiled coyly.

"If it is known that there is a lot of interest for a particular male or female unless that person themselves has chosen someone for themselves already people can put in what we call a wish to hunt application, these are collected over the first month of that person coming of age and at the end of it we either hold a battle royale or a great hunt, either last person standing or the one who catches their prey wins," Tik eleth said proudly, and Aiden looked both surprised and a little horrified and Jack caught it.

"This is all done with the person's consent, young one, we would never ever take away a person's choice from them, if they do not wish to be hunted or fought over they can simply attend the arbiters office in that first month or even before it and register a wish to be left alone, we call it a non consent order, it shows that this person does not wish to be hunted by any member of any race and will not tolerate any pursuit, if any member of any race breaks this wish we handle things most harshly, like I said, we believe in everyones sacred right to choose, for the vast majority of people in our clan having a great hunt for them or a battle royale held in their honer is seen just so as a great honor with themselves being the prize at the end, but if someone has their eyes elsewhere, or simply doesn't feel ready, or simply doesn't want to, they will not be forced, ever," Jack said, and all those around the table toyed with this idea in their minds and it seemed a pretty fair system to them.

"Dante was a very very pretty ooman boy and he was well known around the place for his helpful and kind nature, he used to spend a lot of time either at King Cortez's hive, as well as King Yoshi and Queen Cirtus's hive helping out, plus, he was a regular at the training grounds and he liked to help out, cleaning the weapons and the armor for the Yautja so he caught the eyes of both the Yautja girls and the Xeno girls of those two hives, poor boy was so utterly clueless as to their attentions as well, he was worse than a damn anime protagonist who lives in a house full of girls and doesn't believe that any of them like him, oh, and, just to put this into perspective, his house was three miles from the arbiters," Sela said, chuckling, and Spike's eye's popped open wide.

"A three mile queue of horny Yautja and Xeno girls!? Jesus H Christ, the guy must have thought all his Christmases came at once when he opened the door that morning," he said, and T'Kell gave him a bit of a death glare before realizing he was reaffirming his Yautja loving status and she settled for a heavy pat on the shoulder to remind him that he was taken.

"Actually no, he had to queue for six hours to get to the arbiters to sign a no consent form, he wasn't ready and didn't want to be hunted," Jack said.

"God, I remember the disappointment, first and only time we've nearly had a riot on our hands," Ryan said with a laugh.

"So, what happened in the end?" Picasso asked curiously.

"Oh, he repealed it a couple of months later, he just wanted time to make up his mind what he truly wanted, so he did the right thing and, to be fair to those girls, not a single one put any kind of pressure on him to change his mind, they were all really sad, yes, but, at their core, each and every one of them proved their worth to him by putting his happiness first, therefore proving to him that they truly loved him, so, when he repealed his no consent form he chose to be hunted rather than a battle royale because he couldn't bear the thought of any of them being hurt for him, even though we have strict rules to prevent death or maiming broken bones are quite common, he chose a hunt and did pretty well too, managed to evade them for three days until he got caught by a huntress called Y'Let, they had a massive family, she couldn't keep her hands off the prize she worked so hard to secure, in fact, it was one of their daughters that called in the Dark Star call that T'Sall made that brought us here," Jack said.

"Wow, you're world sounds both so complex and so bloody simple all at once," Moodstone said, and Tik eleth smiled proudly.

"We poured our entire hearts into building a society which is both completely accepting and truly equal, no class system, no elitism, all are welcome, as long as you prove that you are worthy of joining us and can accept our way of life, but once in no one ever wants to leave, because with us they understand true freedom, true equality and true safety, knowing that, no matter what, Clan Mason always protects both our own and the innocent, we stand for those who cannot stand for themselves, just as we stood during the hybrid wars, when all others were routed and falling apart only we stood tall and proud and said, 'no more, no further,'" she said, and Aiden nodded, he knew this story well, or at least the part that the special forces community of the galaxy at large knew of how Clan Mason, with the power of their Dream Warriors, stood toe to toe with the Nightmare assassins of the Creeping Darkness as they called it, but, other than the four in the room with them right now, no one truly knew what it was, not really, though, he hoped that one day maybe they would share that tale.

"Ok then, let's get on with the debrief, shall we?" Queen Bee said, and Jack nodded in agreement.

"Yes, let's, first thing to discuss is the fate of the civilians, we have offered them all the choice to join Clan Mason, for those displaced and without no family we have offered them a permanent place, to those with family elsewhere we have offered them safe harbour until they can sort themselves out, so you don't have to worry about them, as for the NBPD officers, we have read Seeker T'Sall's reports and found ourselves mightily impressed with them all, each of them has been offered a chance to join the Guardian Core as a Hunter to be under the command of my better half here, as Seekers seek truth and justice for all. Hunters pursue evil and darkness wherever it hides, they hunt it down and destroy it with the might of justice, while the Seekers are a surgical scalpel the Hunters are a hammer, they defend the innocent to the last and smash those who would harm them under the weight of their strength," Jack said, and, beside him, Tik eleth looked proud.

"I'm taking both Xia and Shey Matriarch, I believe they would do well in the Saviors, they have both displayed all the traits of a Hunter Savior that I ask of my people, they are dedicated to the protection of the weak and the helpless and would die to protect them, plus, from what I have read, they are both dedicated to the preservation of life," Sela eleth said, and her mother nodded her ascension.

"I believe so to, my beloved daughter," Tik eleth said.

"Who are the Saviors?" Aiden asked curiously, and Jack smiled at him.

"Oh, there are sub groups within the main groups who specialise in certain areas, for the Hunters you have an additional group called the Saviors, these guys specialise in defence, while, as Hunters, they are trained to hunt down and destroy evil, Saviors are also trained to defend civilian targets and to protect them, they are given additional training depending on their areas of expertise, everything from snipers to combat engineers, there's a lot more to being a Guaridan than fighting, you know, for the Seekers there are two additional groups, the Tamers, who, like my beloved son here, specialise in talking to the hearts of other species and the Soul Knights, who specialise in communicating with the dead for guidance and protection, I lead the Knights personally while Ryan leads the tamers," Jack explained.

Then he turned to smile at Macha, "You know, we've never had a Xenomorph in our ranks, not one has had the gift until now," he said, and Macha swished her tail.

"Huh?" both her, T'Shara, and Aiden all said at once.

"Oh, she's touched by the gods, specifically by two of them, feels like lady Paya's work to me and, from the celtic feelings I'm getting, I think your name sake as well, lady Macha, personally, I think you have what it takes to be a Tamer, Macha, you certainly have the aura of one, it's like a calming presence that screams both authority and safety," Ryan said, and his father nodded in agreement.

"So, what do you say, Macha? Would you like to try out for the Seekers?" Ryan asked, and Jack held up a hand.

"First things first, my eager son, Macha, please give me your hands," he said, offering his to her and the big Xeno queen looked both confused and nervous, but Aiden laid a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"Choose your path, my love, we will support you no matter what," he said, and T'Shara nodded beside him.

Macha smiled and felt their love radiating from them, she nodded and took the hands offered to her and, before she could utter a word, it was like an explosion of white light inside her head and suddenly the entire universe seemed to seep into her mind, along with the hearts and feelings of everyone around her, "Oh yeah, she's definitely a Soul Knight, so, welcome to the truth, young Seeker," Jack's voice echoed through her mind, which seemed to be flooded with sunshine and peace all at once.

Ryan turned to both Aiden and T'Shara and smiled, "Don't worry, we aren't stealing your beloved queen from you, simply waking her up to who she truly is," he said, and both Aiden and T'Shara looked stunned.

"Our beauty queen is a Dream Warrior?" they said in unison.

"Oh yeah, and a powerful one too, haven't come across one like her for quite some time, I think this confirms it, guys, these are the three that the prophecy of the dead spoke of, we found the trinity," Jack said.

"Oh boy, this debrief is going to take a while," Ryan said with a huge grin plastered on his mandibles.
