So glad to be back with this one-shot series. This one was requested by Guest.

Disclaimer: I do not own Ninjago.

It was raining outside, training for the day had ended, and Wu and Pixal had gone out for the day, leaving the ninja with nothing to do.

"Maybe we could watch a movie?" Jay suggested.

"Which one?" Kai asked.

"I dunno."

"Would anyone like to play minidroid chess?" Zane asked.

The response given was not positive, and the nindroid appeared very disappointed.

"It's not that we don't like playing minidroid chest, it's just that you win in two moves," Jay shrugged, and Zane seemed to understand. He was still upset, though.

"Well, what else can we do?" Nya asked.

"Game!" C.J. exclaimed.

"What kind of game?" Cole asked.

"Hide!"

The other ninja looked to each other in curiosity. They hadn't played hide and seek since they were little kids. It might be even more fun now that they were professional ninja.

"Alright."

"Sounds fun."

"It could be most enjoyable."

"Okay, but who's going to be the seeker?" Jay asked.

"Me!" C.J. said as he raised his hand as high up as it could go.

The ninja, minus Cole, started to snicker.

"Are you sure, Bud?" Lloyd asked. "I mean, we can hide pretty well."

C.J. nodded as he said, "I sure."

Zane smiled as he said, "Then let us state some rules. We are not allowed to hide or go outside or in places too high for C.J. to reach. Bathrooms are off-limits and so is locking yourself in rooms."

"Lookin' at you, Kai!" Nya pointed out.

"What'd I do? None of us have played this game in years," Kai protested.

"Eh. It just seems like something you would do," Lloyd laughed as he ran off to hide. C.J. was just beginning his count to ten.

"Man, he counts fast!" Jay exclaimed as he and the others ran away.

Cole just smiled proudly as he ran in the opposite direction of his friend.

"Ten!" C.J. exclaimed.

The young blond boy immediately ran off to the kitchen. He waited a moment to see if he could hear anything. He didn't. C.J. ran over to the cabinets near the bottom of the sink and opened them up. It was just big enough for one of the ninja to fit in, but there was no one there. He then ran over to the fridge and pulled on the handle with all his might. It opened quite suddenly, and he ended up falling over. He got up quickly afterwards, though, to see Zane with a worried look on his face.

"Are you alright, C.J.?" he asked the little one.

C.J. nodded, wearing a big grin on his face now that he found his first ninja.

"Well then," Zane sighed knowing that he was okay, "would you like my help in finding the others?"

"No, thank you," C.J. replied as he continued on his journey to find the other ninja.

The next place he went to was Kai's room. He flattened himself onto the floor and looked under the bed, but there were only some messy clothes. He then moved to the closet and opened the door, but no one was in there. Only a bunch of bottles of hair gel. Then, there was the curtain. It was very thick since Kai had trouble sleeping if any light made it through and was the perfect place for someone to hide. C.J. tried to pull the curtain back so he could see behind it, but it was so heavy, he could barely move it. After a moment of thought, C.J. crawled underneath the curtain, but no one was there. He did see the pouring rain outside, though, and in that, he saw something in the attic window. It looked like a person.

C.J. laughed as he began running for the attic. The stairs had already been brought down. Someone was definitely up there. He climbed up the stairs very carefully before walking over to the dusty window. He didn't see anyone there.

He turned around and saw a hint of blue coming from behind a nearby box. He ran over to it and latched onto his uncle Jay's leg saying, "Gotcha!"

"Aw, Man," Jay sighed.

The next place C.J. traveled to was Nya's room, but she had apparently locked her door to keep the boys out. So, to Jay's room he went. There was a lump under the blankets. C.J. ran as fast as he could to the lump and jumped on it, but it was squishy. Upon looking underneath the blankets, he saw that it was only Jay's pillow. He went to the closet, but it was also locked. After looking under the bed and seeing nothing but gears and tools, he thought to look in the Hangar Bay. On his way there, he had to go into the game room, where Zane and Jay had decided to wait for the game to end.

"Are you sure you don't want any help?" Jay asked.

"I fine," C.J. replied as he pressed the button to call the elevator. As he was waiting, he heard a sneeze from behind. He looked up to see Lloyd hanging onto a roof support above.

"Hey, Ceej," Lloyd wheezed. "How's it hangin'?"

"I didn't even know you were up there!" Jay exclaimed.

Lloyd jumped down and sat on the floor, but C.J. didn't even acknowledge this because it was then that the elevator dinged, and C.J. continued on his journey through the monastery.

"Bye bye!" he called to his uncles as the elevator door closed.

It wasn't too much longer before the elevator stopped, and C.J. could search through all the cool vehicles. The first one he went to was his dad's dirt bike. No one was there. Then to Pixal's secret project that she made him promise not to tell anyone about, and he received the same results. He went to Kai's four by four, Lloyd's car, then to a mech that belonged to Kai, but there was still nothing. Before long, he had checked every single vehicle, even unusable ones, but there was still no one.

C.J. was beginning to feel frustrated, but it was then that he remembered one more place that he could look. In the manhole they hid from Aspheera in. The toddler went over to the manhole and shoved the surprisingly light lid off with way too much force. He then slid down and crawled through the tunnel he was told to climb through not too long ago. When he made it to the end, he saw a potted plant against the wall. He looked behind that and saw Nya.

"Nice job, C.J.!" Nya congratulated as she gave the toddler a high five. "Where are the others?"

"Upstaiws," C.J. replied.

"Are they helping you?"

"No," C.J. shook his head.

He then turned around, and the two made their way back upstairs to the other ninja. Nya sat down next to Jay on the couch while C.J. made his way to his and his father's room. He looked under his bed, under his father's bed, and under the blankets of both. He then searched the closet, but something seemed off. Were there usually this many toys in here? And why was the floor suddenly cleaned off? C.J. entered the closet and looked at the massive pile of toys. It looked like the way C.J. would clean, but he hadn't done so in a while. In fact, his did was just telling him to do so earlier that day.

C.J. picked up the biggest toy on the top of the pile and screamed in delight when he saw his father's head peeking out from underneath.

"What took you so long?" Cole laughed.

The young blond laughed too as he and his father worked to free him from the toy pile. They then went hand in hand to the living room, where everyone but Kai was.

"Still haven't found Kai, huh?" Nya asked.

C.J. shook his head.

"Do you want some help for this one?" Lloyd asked.

C.J. paused. On the one hand, he didn't need help. He could do this all by himself, but he was getting tired of searching. He wanted to hide already. Finally, C.J. nodded. He and the five ninja looked all throughout the monastery, but they couldn't find the fire ninja anywhere. After at least an hour of searching, they all gathered, once again, in the game room.

"I think he cheated," Nya said, her arms crossed.

"Yeah, I'm starting to think that too. I mean, we looked everywhere," Lloyd complained.

"What were the rules again?" Jay asked.

"No locking yourself in a room, no bathrooms, and no going outside," Zane responded.

"Okay, then. Um, let's check all those places then," Cole responded.

"I'll check my room," Nya rolled her eyes as she said this.

"I got my closet," Jay added.

"I'll look outside," said Lloyd.

"And I shall check the bathroom," Zane said.

Cole just sighed as he and C.J. followed Jay. After checking his closet, which had basically nothing in it, they went to help Zane search, but it was then that they heard Nya screaming angrily at someone.

"Kai! What are you doing in here!"

Everyone ran to the commotion to see that Kai was sitting on Nya's bed. He wasn't even hiding.

"Found you!" C.J. exclaimed happily.

"I thought we said no locking yourself in rooms," Jay whined.

"I didn't. The door was already locked. I climbed in through the window," Kai replied, proud of his little loophole.

"So you went outside," Cole said, playfully crossing his arms.

"I got back inside before he stopped counting," Kai defended.

"Well, I think we know who's counting next time," Nya replied. "Everybody ready for another round?"

"No!" C.J. yelled.

"No? What do you mean no?" Jay asked.

"I hide!" C.J. told them.

"Of course. You're hiding too," Lloyd smiled.

"No. You count, I hide," C.J. explained. He gestured to all the ninja as he said the former.

"You mean all of us try to find you?" Kai asked. He couldn't believe this.

"Yeah!"

"I'm not sure if that's a-" but Nya couldn't finish her sentence before Cole said, "Okay then. You go hide and we'll count to..."

"Tenty!"

"Tenty it is!"

As C.J. ran off, the other ninja looked to Cole in confusion.

"He doesn't stand a chance against all six of us!" Jay exclaimed.

"Yeah, so? We'll go easy on him," Cole replied.

As soon as the ninja finished counting to twenty, they began their search. They checked each spot that they had hidden in during the previous round, but he was not in any of those spots.

"Guess the kid got creative," Kai smirked as he strolled through the hallway. He checked his own room for places that a small child could hide. He checked his closet of hair gel bottles, making sure to see if there was any way for C.J. to climb up the shelves, but he was not there. He checked underneath his bed, but he was not there. He checked under his already messed up blankets and still found nothing. Finally, he looked behind the curtain. He sighed as he looked out his rainy window to see the attic window. Maybe Jay was having better luck up there.

Jay was confident that he could use his ninja skills to find C.J. He jumped up to a support beam and began walking across so he could see the boxes down below. Maybe C.J. was hiding behind one of them, but he found nothing. He jumped back down and knocked gently on each and every box before listening for something back. A giggle, a sneeze, maybe even a knock back, but there was nothing. Shrugging, Jay decided to help Lloyd.

He went downstairs to the game room, but it was a mess. Cushions, pillows, and blankets were scattered all over the floor, and Lloyd was practically under the couch.

"Uh, do you need any help, Lloyd?" Jay asked.

"I'm just about done in here, but I'm about to go check Wu's study," Lloyd replied as he placed one of the stray cushions back on the couch.

Jay followed Lloyd to their master's library and began searching the room. They checked big drawers, under the desk, behind the bookshelves, and as Jay touched one of the bookshelves to help him balance as he stepped over a pile of books, he fell over. Almost as if the bookshelf had moved.

"Woah!" Lloyd exclaimed as he came up next to his older brother.

Jay stood up to see that the bookshelf had moved. In fact, it was really a door to a secret room filled with all kinds of scrolls and pictures and even Wu's bed.

"Maybe we should go," Lloyd said. "I doubt C.J. would've even been able to find this place."

"Wait just a second," Jay responded. He flattened himself on his stomach to look under the bed. There was a small box with no lid and some scrolls, but no C.J. The lightning ninja then stood up and said, "Alright. Let's go."

Meanwhile, Nya was looking throughout the Hangar Bay for any signs of the young blond. She entered the manhole but soon realized that she was too big to crawl through the tunnel that C.J. went through to find her.

"C.J.!" she called. "If you can hear me, come out because I can't get through the tunnel!"

She listened for a moment to see if she could hear C.J. shuffling about, but there was no sound. He was definitely not in here.

She then looked through some of their vehicles, but he wasn't there either. She even checked the trunks of all the vehicles, but he was nowhere to be found.

Cole had finished searching through his and C.J.'s room, Jay's room, Lloyd's room, Zane's room, and Kai's room, but he still couldn't find his son. He decided to go to the kitchen to see if he could help Zane at all.

"Did you find anything?" Cole asked as he walked in.

"He's very good at hiding," Zane mused. "I've checked everywhere."

"Seriously! We've looked everywhere!" Jay complained as he and the others entered the room. "Where is he?"

"You know what? No more going easy. We can treat it as stealth practice," Cole smiled.

Everyone nodded and put on their ninja masks. They decided to work as a team this time. Zane reminded everyone of C.J.'s favorite places and the smallest places in the monastery. The only spot which they had not checked was the vents. None of the ninja were small enough to fit in one of these vents, though.

"So if he really is in the vents, how are we supposed to find him?" Kai asked.

"If we're stealthy enough, we'll be able to catch him," Lloyd replied.

"Yeah. He'll move eventually. He can't stand staying in one place for too long," Cole added.

The ninja all sat next to a different vent and waited. They listened for a very long time, but no sound from the little one came. Until it did.

Cole suddenly heard a slight giggle from his son. He listened as C.J. seemed to be coming closer and closer until suddenly, he was going farther and farther.

"What?" Cole asked. "He must have gone down another pathway."

It wasn't long before a loud clang was heard not too far away. C.J. must have gotten out. Zane ran towards the sound as quietly as possible and discovered C.J. toddling over to his room.

Jay was already in the room, keeping himself stable at the top of the closet. He listened as C.J. walked in and began rummaging around his bed. He had him now.

The lightning ninja jumped down, but he must've been too loud because it was then that he heard the pitter patter of tiny footsteps running away.

Kai was resting on a roof support in Lloyd's room when he heard C.J. pass by. He saw the blond walk into the room and climb into his uncle Lloyd's bed. Just then, Kai jumped down, but C.J. ran away before the fire ninja could get to him.

"Ah! He's getting away!" Kai exclaimed.

C.J. ran down the hall and right past Nya, who had just missed the toddler. He sprinted off into the kitchen and found a brand new hiding spot.

Zane, meanwhile, had accidentally picked up a sensor, seeing that a much smaller life form had moved very quickly into the kitchen.

He ran over there and smiled as he opened the kitchen cabinet to see C.J.

"I believe we have found you," the nindroid said.

C.J. laughed happily as he jumped into Zane's arms.

The ninja of ice then carried C.J. over to the game room where everyone else was located before placing to toddler down, so he could run to his father.

"Do you want to play another round, Ceej?" Cole asked.

C.J. shook his head before pointing to the window and saying, "Outside."

The ninja looked to the window and were surprised to see that it had stopped raining.

"Alright!" Jay exclaimed excitedly as he, C.J., and the rest of the ninja went outside to play with the toddler.
