The Water Flowers of Cerulean City
On the night that Jovan got the Pokémon League DVD, Jovan, July, Anna and Seth are sent to the Pokémon World. Hoping to find a way home, they all meet up at Professor Oak's Lab, the day Ash was going to receive his own Pokémon and decided to travel together. Determine to be a Pokémon Master, Ash continues on his quest, gaining skill, knowledge and catching new Pokémon along the way. A long the way they meet Jessie, James and Meowth of Team Rocket. Which was more surprising, July's friend, Slade, joins them and meets their other friends, Libby, Sam and Justin, who is a part of Team Rocket and the mysterious hooded figure.
Their fierce battle with Gym Leader Brock earned, Ash, Jovan, July, Anna and Seth a Boulder Badge and a new friend. Brock, hoping to a Pokémon Breeder, decided to join Ash, Misty, Jovan, July, Anna and Seth on their journey. But with his rival, Gary, way ahead of him, Ash Ketchum is still planning to catch up. We can only wonder what adventures lay ahead.
Ash stretches his arms. "It's a great day to enjoy the sunshine."
"It really is." Jovan smiled.
"While you enjoy the sunshine, Gary is catching more Pokémon." Brock said. "But I guess a Pokémon Trainer can capture Pokémon and enjoy the sun."
As Pikachu kept walking next Ash, Pikachu turn his head around to see Misty running towards them.
"Hey, wait a minute!" Misty called.
"Cha." Pikachu greeted.
The group stops and turn around and Misty caught up with them.
"Where do you think you're going?" Misty demanded.
"I know where we're going." Ash said. "We're going to Cerulean City."
"Cerulean City?!" Misty gasps. "What are you going there for?"
"Well it's none of your business." Ash said. "But I'm going there for more badges."
"Uh, Ash." Misty smiles nervously. "You don't want Pokémon from there, trust me."
"How come, Misty?" July asked.
"Is there a reason why we don't want Pokémon there?" Seth asked.
Misty walks up to Ash. "Because they're all…"
"All what?" Ash asked.
"Creepy?" Slade asked.
"Very scary Pokémon that looks like this." Misty said. Misty stretches and her mouth and eyes, making a scary face. "Like monsters."
Ash started laughing. "Nice face, Misty."
"Let's go, everyone." July said.
They turned around and started walking.
"Wait a second!" Misty yelled. Misty ran in front of them and spreads her arms and legs. "What about Vermillion City?"
"Vermillion City?" Anna asked.
"It's right on the water and has neat Pokémon and you watch all the giant yachts pulling into the harbor." Misty said. Misty turns around and clasps her hands together. "And there's a little park, way up on the hill where you can sit and enjoy the sunset that so romantic."
"Uh huh." Ash said.
Misty turns to face Ash. "It's much nicer than Cerulean City so let's get going!" Misty cheered.
July turns to her left to look at Anna. "What do you think, Anna?" July asked.
"I don't know, July." Anna answered. "We've already decided to head to Cerulean City and…"
July shook her head. "That's not what I meant." July said.
"What are you talking about, July?" Anna asked.
July leaned in and whispered. "When we get to Vermillion City, you and my brother should go to that little park to watch the sunset as a date."
"What?!" Anna yelled, causing everyone to look at her.
Seth notices Anna's face turned red. "Anna, why is your face turning red?" Seth asked.
"And why did you yell?" Slade asked.
"It's nothing." Anna muttered.
"Ok… then." Seth said.
"Alright, let's go." Ash smiled.
"Really?" Misty asked happily.
"To Cerulean City." Ash said.
Misty fell on the ground and they all walk around her.
"We have to get more trainer Badges, you guys." Jovan said.
"Since there's a Gym in Cerulean City…" Seth said.
"That makes sense." Brock said.
Misty got up and watch them go. "Augh." Misty grunted, rubbing the side of her head. "I never wanted to wind up back here." Misty groans and she went after her friends.
Night time came around at Cerulean City. Inside one of the buildings, the air vent was pushed open by James.
"The coast is clear." James said.
"Nothing to fear." Jessie said, sticking out of the air vent.
Meowth appeared right next to Jessie. "Nobody here." Meowth said.
Jessie, James and Meowth exited the air vent.
"Come on you three." Meowth called.
Libby, Sam and Justin landed on the floor with their feet.
"Let's find what we're looking for now." Sam chuckled.
James grabs a flashlight from his belt and turns the switch on. There were a lot of different machines that were all lined up. They all come across a huge green machine.
"Looks like we've found it." James said.
"Just what we need to get what we want." Jessie said.
"Pokémon." Meowth said.
Justin nodded.
The group made it to Cerulean City the next morning.
"So." Ash said as they all stop walking. "This is Cerulean City, eh Brock?"
"Pretty nice place, isn't it?" Brock asked.
"I know." Seth said.
Jovan turned around and notices Misty wasn't with them. "That's strange. Misty stopped following us."
They all turned around and notice too.
"Cha." Pikachu said, worried about Misty.
"She really didn't want to come to Cerulean City, did she?" Brock asked.
"I wonder why she hates this place so much." Ash wondered.
Slade cross his arms over his chest. "Maybe there's a good reason why she hates this place."
"We'll never figure out girls." Jovan said.
After walking a while in the city, they come across a large crowd with a lot of police officers in front of an apartment.
"The police." Ash said. "I wonder what happen."
"Yeah." Brock said.
They all went into the crowd and made it to the front.
"Excuse me, sir." Ash said. "Do you know what happen?"
"Some burglars broke into that store last night." The man said.
"Burglars huh." Ash said, amazed.
"What do you know about burglars?"
"Hhmm?" Jovan asked.
The police officer woman was giving them a suspicious look. "All of you look very suspicious to me."
Seth recognized her. "You're that motor cycle girl that we met at Viridian City." Seth smiled.
"Huh?" Jenny asked. "Oh, you must have met my sister in law." Jenny crosses her arms and leans in close to Jovan's face. "If you know my sister in law that means you probably have some dealings in Viridian."
"Uh- I…" Jovan stuttered.
"Now maybe you stop and ask her for directions." Jenny eyed Jovan. "Or maybe you found a wallet on the street and turn it in to her or maybe you're a burglar who broke out of jail!" Jenny yelled, taking out her hand cuffs.
"I've never been to jail." Ash said nervously.
"Neither have I, ma'am." Brock said, agreeing.
"Same here." Jovan nodded.
"We haven't stolen anything." Slade said.
"That's what they all say." Jenny said, not convinced.
"You see." Anna explains to Jenny. "We just came into town and saw the crowd, so we came over to see what's going on."
Jenny smirked. "The criminal always returns at the scene of the crime."
"But we're not…" Slade try to say.
"Maybe this should help." Ash said, taking out his Pokédex.
Jovan, July, Anna and Seth completely forgot about the Pokédex.
"Here's ours." Jovan said.
"I'm Dexter. A Pokédex program by Professor Oak for Pokémon Trainers Ash, Jovan, July, Anna and Seth."
"Yeah." Brock replied. "And I was the leader of the Pewter City Gym." Brock took out the Boulder Badge and shows it to Jenny.
Jenny looks at Slade. "What about you?" Jenny asked.
"I'm traveling with them." Slade answered.
Jenny looks back at Seth. "It's the truth." Seth said.
"Well, that's evidence enough for me." Jenny said. "I'm sorry I was suspicious." Jenny apologizes.
"It's ok." July replied.
Jenny looks away as she put away the handcuffs. "Now I'm suspicious of my sister in law. She sure has some weird taste in friends."
"Um, miss." Brock said.
Jenny looks at Brock. "Yes?" Jenny asked.
"Since I'm new in town, maybe we could get together tonight and you could show me around." Brock smiles.
"Well, I'm not off duty till past you bedtime and I may even work around the clock to catch these burglars." Jenny smirked.
"So what exactly did they steal?" Ash asked.
Jenny looks at Ash. "That's the strange thing about it." Jenny said, crossing her arms over. "They didn't take any money, just a massive vacuum and a giant hose."
"Why would anyone steal that for?" Jovan asked.
"I'm sure I don't know young man." Jenny said. "But I do know I don't have time to play guessing games with you because I have job to do and it's time for all of you to leave." Jenny pushes them all out of the crowd. Then Jenny went back behind the line and started telling people to move.
The group went towards the park and found a park bench. Ash and Brock set their stuff down and sits on the bench with Pikachu.
Jovan, July, Anna, Seth and Slade set their stuff on the ground and sits in front of Ash, Brock and Pikachu.
"It's a good thing that we had our Pokédex and your Badge." Anna said.
"Yeah." Brock nodded, crossing his arms. "Shouldn't you all be at the Cerulean Gym?"
"Yeah." Jovan said.
"Brock, do you have any inside info on the Gym Trainer?" Anna asked.
"Huh?" Brock asked, confused.
"Ha ha." Ash chuckled. "We just want to find out much as we can about him before we have our match. Know yourself; know your adversary and you hold the key to victory."
"You sure know some pretty deep stuff there." Brock said amazed.
"I learned that one from Dexter." Ash smiles.
"That's great, Ash." Seth said.
"Well, I never met the Gym Trainer here. But I do know his Pokémon's special ability."
"What is it?" Anna asked, anxious to know.
"I'm sorry everyone, but I can't give you that information." Brock apologized.
"How come?" Jovan asked.
"I'm a Gym Leader too after all." Brock reminded everyone. "I can't tell all of you out of respect. All of you understand?"
"That's cool." Ash said.
"Alright then." Seth said. "Let's go find the Gym."
They all grab their stuff and started walking. After walking for a bit, they all come across three paths.
"Well I have some stuff to check out." Brock said.
"What kind of stuff?" Seth asked.
"Just stuff." Brock answered. "See you later." Brock said, as he started walking on the left path.
"See ya." Slade said. Slade turns around to face them.
"Let's get going." Jovan said.
They all started to look for the Gym. After a few minutes of walking, they took the right path and stops walking.
"The Gym should be around her someplace." Ash said.
"That must be it." July said, pointing to a dome building.
At the end of the path there was building with a dome shaped brightly colored Gym with a gigantic painting of a Pokémon.
When they all got inside, they were amazed of what they are seeing. Inside there were a lot of people sitting in their seats. In the center of the room was a big swimming pool with a huge diving board. At the other end of the pool was a rainbow colored door with one water container on either side.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please the stars of our show. The Sensational Cerulean City Synchronized Swimming Sisters!"
"Huh?" Ash and Jovan asked confused.
"Look at that." Seth pointed.
There were three girls on the diving board. On the left the first girl had blonde hair, her eyes were green and was wearing a red swimsuit. In the center was girl that has indigo hair, her eyes were brown and was wearing a green swimsuit. The last girl on the right has pink hair, blue eyes and was wearing an orange swimsuit. All three of them were waving at the crowd.
"I think they're going to jump into the pool and show their skills." July wondered.
The three girls jump simultaneously and dive right into the pool without a miss. The crowd cheers and Seth notices that Slade was holding a score board that says "10."
"When did you get that?" Seth asked.
"Just now." Slade said.
"Ok then…" Seth sweat dropped.
The group watches as the three girls came back to the surface and twirl around. Then they went back underwater and their legs showed.
"I thought this was the Pokémon Gym, Pikachu." Ash said to Pikachu.
"Pika." Pikachu said. Pikachu ignores Ash, watching the three girls. "Cha." Pikachu said dreamily.
After the girls came back to their surface and finished their pose, the crowd cheers.
"They're so amazing!"
"I don't understand it." Ash said, with his arms cross over as they all went downstairs.
"Same here." Jovan said, scratching behind his head.
When they reached the bottom and was about to keep walking, Ash gasps.
"It's like an aquarium!" Ash exclaims.
Truth to be told, they were all in the Aquarium Hall. Ash walks up to the glass and put his hands on it. Inside of it there was a lot of small fish.
"How can this be a Gym?" Ash asked.
Jovan shrugs his shoulders. While Ash and Pikachu were admiring the fishes, July walks up to the glass and stares at the fish.
"Brings back memories, huh? Jovan asks July walking up beside her.
"Yeah." July answered.
"This reminds us of the aquarium back home." Anna said.
Seth began to chuckle.
"Why are you chuckling, Slade?" Jovan asked, turning around with July to look at him.
"I still won't forget that we both scared Anna and July when we were on that the field trip to the aquarium." Slade chuckled.
"That was funny." Jovan replied.
Anna looks at him. "No, it wasn't." Anna retorted.
"Yes it was." Slade said. "When you two were looking at the shark tank, the two of you screamed when we scared you."
All Jovan and Slade started laughing.
"That's not funny!" July shouted at them.
"The crowd was totally awesome."
"I know it was so great."
They all turn to look to see the three girls from before, walking towards them.
"Daisy, the dive you did was super." Violet said.
"That practice really paid off." Daisy said.
"Totally." Lilly agreed. They all laughed.
"Excuse me." Ash said, walking up to them with the others.
Lilly looks at him. "I'm sorry." Lilly apologized. "If you want an interview, you should like, cal our manager."
"It's not that." Jovan said.
"We don't do autographs." Lilly said.
"We don't want one." Ash said. "We just really want to know if this is a Pokémon Gym."
"It sure is." Daisy said.
"We're looking for the Gym Trainer." Jovan said.
"You're looking at them." Daisy said.
"Huh?" Jovan asked, confused.
Daisy, Violet and Lilly did their poses.
"The three of us are Gym Trainers." Daisy said.
"We're the Sensational Sisters." Lilly said.
"We're world famous." Violet said.
Seth crosses his arms over his chest. "But what's all that swimming about?" Seth asked.
"It's like our hobby, and our fans love to watch us perform." Lilly answered.
"We cool our talents to make a big splash." Violet laughed.
"Oh brother." July muttered.
"Jovan?" a voice asked.
Jovan turns around and gasps. Standing in front of him was three girls. The first girl on the left was wearing a white t-shirt with a long blue, black pants with a matching black hat, blue sandals and her hair was brown and the color of her eyes are brown also.
"It's Cleo." Jovan said.
The second girl on the right was wearing cute purple crotchet trim, black jeans, pink sandals, her was blonde and has green eyes. She defiantly looks like Selena Gomez.
"Selena." Seth said.
The girl in the center was wearing a blue comfy scoop neck tank, blue shorts, yellow sandals, dark brown hair and dark blue eyes. The girl is just like Emma Watson.
"And Emma." Slade smiled.
"The Bluebells." July grins.
Anna was shocked to see her sisters here. Anna walks up to her sisters and they all hugged each other. "How can this be?" Anna asked. "How are you all here?"
"We all got sucked into a portal." Emma shrugs her shoulders.
"A portal?" Anna repeated.
"It was weird." Cleo said.
Ash turns his head to look at Seth. "Do you know these three?" Ash asked.
Seth nodded his head. "Yes." Seth answered. "These three girls are Anna's Sisters."
Anna turns around. "Ash, these are my sisters." Anna said, as she began to introduce her sisters. "This is Emma, my older sister, Cleo, my second sister and this is Selena, my third sister."
"It's nice to meet you." Ash said. "I'm Ash and this is Pikachu."
"Pikachu." Pikachu smiled.
Emma notices Slade standing next to Seth. "You're here too, Slade?" Emma asked.
Slade nodded. "That's right." Slade smiles. "So how did you three get here?"
Cleo begins explaining.
Flashback
Cleo, Emma and Selena were in their room watching "Pretty Little Liars". Emma was sitting on top of her bed and Cleo and Selena were lying down on some pillows and blankets on the floor. While the three girls were watching, a portal appeared between Emma, Cleo and Selena and the TV. The portal began to suck all of them in. The three girls grab each other, yelling as they went inside the portal and the portal disappeared.
Flashback End
"And that's how we ended up here." Emma said.
"So they've been living with us, like, for a few weeks." Daisy said.
Emma looks at Daisy. "Thank you for letting us stays here." Emma thanked Daisy.
They all made their way back to the pool area and Ash faces Daisy, Lilly and Violet.
"Come on." Ash said. "I challenge all of you."
The three Gym Leaders looked away.
"What?" Ash wondered.
"We really don't feel like battling anymore." Daisy said.
"What do you mean?" Ash asked.
"We got beaten, like, four times in a row by kids from this nowhere town called Pallet Town." Violet explains.
"Not again." Ash said.
"It was just one defeat after the other." Violet said, raising her fingers. "My eyes were spinning around from the losses."
"We had to, like, practically rush all of our Pokémon to the Pokémon Center." Daisy said.
Lilly took out a small Pokéball and press the button to make it grow. "This is the only Pokémon left." Lily said, tossing it to the floor.
The Pokéball open and a Goldeen appeared.
"Goldeen, Goldeen." It said.
"You mean all you have is a Goldeen?" Ash asked.
Goldeen transform into red energy and went back inside the Pokéball.
Violet put her hands behind her head. "If it were to evolve into a Seaking, we could use it, but all it can do now is its Horn Attack."
"So, like, there's no point in battling." Daisy said.
"Now, instead of having matches, we have time to make ourselves more beautiful than ever." Lilly said.
Anna stares at her sisters. "Don't you three have any Pokémon when you came here?"
"Yes." Emma answered. "We all have a Goldeen and the only two moves that they can do is Peck and Horn Attack."
"Aww." Ash moans.
Jovan frowned. "Bummer."
Seth crosses his arms over his chest. "Who was the fourth challenger that fought you?"
"That would be me." A voice said.
Jovan turns around and gasps. Standing a few feet away from them was another boy. The boy was wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and wearing small necklace with a blue stone at the end. The color of his hair was red and his eyes are green.
"It's Mile Smith." Jovan said.
Mile Smith is the childhood friend and rival of Jovan Hale. They were good friends at one time and went to see movies together. When they were in middle school, both Mile and Jovan found something that changed their friendship.
"How did you get here?" July asked.
"Some portal appeared out of nowhere and dropped me off in the woods." Mile explains. "I guess you guys came here too?"
"That's right." Slade said.
"When I came to Pallet Town, I met Gary and we became friends quickly. I also received a Pokémon and began my journey as a Pokémon Trainer." Mile said.
"What starter Pokémon did you get?" Jovan asked.
"Sorry." Mile wags his finger. "If you were there on time, you would've seen the Pokémon I got from the professor." Mile turns around and started to walk away from them. "Later, Jovi boy." Mile called as he waved.
Jovan clench his fists and growled. "He thinks he's so better." Jovan growled.
"Let's not worry about that." Anna said, as Jovan turns around.
"I know what you want." Daisy sighed. Daisy turns to the pool and claps her hands. "Seel!" she called.
Two pinniped Pokémon appeared at the surface. It has a thick hide covered in bluish white fur. It has a pale tan maw with a large red tongue and a pair of tusks on its lower jaw. It has circular eyes and a black nose that is capable of closing while it swims. There is a small horn on its forehead, which it uses in combination with its tusks to bore through ice floes. It has two flippers on its chest, and two more on the end of its tail. When the tail is raised, it resembles a waterspout.
The two Seel went up to the edge of the pool and hops out of the water. They stuck their tongues out and revealed two raindrop-like badges on the first tongue and the second tongue only had two. Daisy and Emma picked up the five badges and shows them the badges.
"The Cascade Badge." Daisy showed them.
"It is what you all want right?" Emma smiled. "You can have it."
"Thanks." Ash said, unsure. "We rather earn our badges."
"Take it." Daisy said. "A Badge is a badge."
Jovan, July, Seth, Anna and Ash walks up to the two girls. Before Emma and Daisy can hand the badges, a voice shouted.
"Hold it right there!"
Everyone turns their heads and spots Misty in the stands with her arms crossed.
"Misty?!" Ash exclaimed.
"Cha." Pikachu said happily.
"What are you doing here?" Jovan asked.
Misty jumps from the stands and landed in front of them. "Alright Daisy." Misty said angrily, staring at her sister. "If you don't want to battle them, I will."
"Huh?!" Ash gasps.
"What do you mean?" Jovan asked confused.
"It's not like she's related to them." Seth said.
"I believe that." Slade nodded.
Misty turns her head to the right with her eyes close. "I'm a Cerulean Gym Trainer too." Misty smirks.
"No way." July gasps.
"I'm the fourth Sensational Sister." Misty announced.
"There are only three Sensational Sisters and one runt." Lily said.
"Ggrr." Misty growled.
"So little sister." Daisy said. "It's a surprise to see you back so soon."
Lily nodded. "That little girl with the big mouth said she wouldn't come back until she become a great Pokémon Trainer. Wasn't that you who said it?"
"Uh…" Misty said, but looks away. "I guess I did say something like that when I left."
Jovan looks at Dratini. "So that's why Misty didn't want to come here in the first place."
Lily crosses her arms and smirks. "Misty, you left here pretending you want to be a Pokémon Trainer because you couldn't compare to us because we're obliviously talented and beautiful than you are."
"Oh no…" Jovan muttered.
"That wasn't the reason!" Misty shouted.
"Well then," Daisy said put her hand to her face. "I guess you came back because you couldn't make it as a Pokémon Trainer."
"That's not the reason." Misty said, walking up to Daisy. "It wasn't my idea to come back here." Misty looks at them and pointed a finger. "Because the only reason is that they wanted to come."
Daisy looks at Ash. "Well, he's totally not someone that I choose for a boyfriend."
"Aaww." Ash groans as he fell on the floor with left hand up in the air.
Daisy looks back at Misty and smiles. You're no prize yourself."
"My boyfriend?!" Misty shouted angrily. "If I battle him that would prove I'm not a quitter and I'm just as good as a trainer as you three."
"Well you are the only one of us with Pokemon that can actually battle." Daisy said.
Misty walks up to Ash and points him in the face. "Aright Ash, are you ready to rumble?" Misty asked angrily.
"How about you battle Jovan too, Anna?" Cleo asks.
Misty turns around to look at Cleo, Selena and Emma, standing there. "Who are you three?"
"This is Cleo, Selena and I'm Emma." Emma introduces herself and her sisters.
"Why should I battle Jovan, Cleo?" Anna asked.
"All four of us are Gym Leaders with the Sensational Sisters." Selena smiled.
"What?!" Everyone yelled except for Daisy, Lilly and Violet.
"When did you three became Gym Leaders?!" Misty asked furiously.
"Last night." Emma answered.
"We contacted the League and they said that all four of you are Gym Trainers since you're going to be here." Lily explains.
"They also told us that you're traveling with Ash on his journey and can take on the Pokémon League Regional Chamionships." Emma said.
"Oh wow." Misty said, shocked.
"There's another reason why you should challenge Jovan." Selena said.
"What's the other reason?" Anna asked
"Do you remember what happen to your bike at your seventh birthday party?" Cleo asks.
Jovan backs away slowly.
Anna shook her head. "No." Anna said. "I was so tired after the birthday party and I didn't even bother to know what happen to it. So what happen?"
"Jovan forgot to put your bike away after a tree fell down on it after the rain storm." Emma said.
"WHAT?!" Anna shrieked. Anna turns around and sees Jovan backing away slowly. Anna took out her wooden mallet out of nowhere and started chasing Jovan around the pool.
"Get back here Jovan Hale!" Anna yelled.
"AAAHHH!" Jovan screamed, trying to get away from her.
"Oh brother." July face palmed.
As Jovan and Anna were about to past a third time, Seth grabs Jovan by the collar of his shirt and Slade grabs Anna's wrist.
"Calm down." Slade said, trying to calm Anna down.
"Fine." Anna growled.
Ash was standing on his water mat on the side of the pool and Misty, Anna and Jovan did the same. Since the pool was big, Seth suggested using the water mats as a line so the battle can take place in the same pool.
"I wasn't planning on challenging you till you pay my bike back but this is a good time as any. If you want that Cascade Bade, you're going have to beat me!" Misty called.
"It'll be my pleasure." Ash said. Ash turns to face Pikachu. "Pikachu, this is going to be a piece of cake."
"Chu." Pikachu said, worried.
"Don't worry, Dratini." Jovan said, looking at Dratini. "This is going to be easy."
"How many Pokémon?" Ash called.
"Two on Two works for me." Misty said.
"We'll do the same." Anna said.
"Alright then." Ash said. Ash picks up Pikachu and throws him. "Alright then, Pikachu, I choose you!" But Pikachu was still hanging on to Ash's hands.
"Go Dratini!" Jovan yelled but he notices that Dratini didn't move.
"Pikachu, what are you doing?" Ash asked.
Jovan notices that Dratini didn't want to battle Anna. "You don't want to battle Anna?" Jovan asked.
"I guess it's ok that you don't want to battle Misty." Ash said, putting his hands on his hips.
"Pikachu!" Misty called. "You're Pika awesome!"
"You rock Dratini!" Anna cheered.
"Pikachu." Pikachu said happily.
"Tini." Dratini said happily.
"Thanks a lot." Ash muttered taking out a Pokeball.
"Great." Jovan said with sarcasm, taking out a Pokball.
Ash and Jovan threw their Pokéballs.
"Go, Butterfree!"
"Here we go,Pidgeotto!"
The two Pokémon appeared in the air.
"Alright then." Misty said. "Then I choose Staryu!" Misty throws her Pokéball and Staryu appeared.
"Go, Vulpix!" Anna threw her Pokéball and Vulpix appeared.
The trainers took out their Pokédex.
"Staryu, the core of this Pokémon shines in a rainbow seven of colors. A core that is value as a type of jewelry."
"Wow." Ash said, amazed. "Leave it to a girl who likes to show off her jewelry."
"Quit stalling and let's get this show on the road!" Misty yelled, flailing her arms.
"Do you think Misty could really win?" Violet asked.
"In your dreams maybe." Lilly said.
"Seel Seel." Seel said.
"Butterfree, you blow that thing away with one blast. Tackle it!" Ash ordered.
"Use Gust!" Jovan ordered.
Butterfree tackles Staryu, making Staryu fall backwards. Pidgeotto started flapping his wings fast.
"Staryu, counter attack!" Misty yelled.
"Counter it with Ember!" Anna ordered.
Staryu jumps at Butterfree.
"Butterfree, dodge it!"
Butterfree dodges the attack. Vulpix releases bolts of fire from her mouth and fires it at Pidgeotto but he dodges the attack. Butterfree and Pidgeotto attacks Vulpix and Staryu two times.
"I'm going to win this." Ash cheered.
"Too easy." Jovan said.
"Staryu, Water Gun!" Misty said.
Staryu jumps in the water and releases a spiral of water from the tip of its top-most limb at Butterfree and it was a direct hit. Vulpix fired another Ember at Pidgeotto and it hits him. Staryu and Vulpix kept firing while Butterfree and Pidgeotto kept dodging.
"In that case, Stun Spore, now!" Ash ordered.
"Use Quick Attack!" Jovan commanded.
Butterfree flies over Staryu and an orange mist comes out of his wings, paralyzing Staryu. Pidgeotto dives down at a fast speed towards Vulpix. While diving, a white stream is created behind Pidgeotto and is surrounded by spirals of fire and the attack hits Vulpix.
"Looks like its in real pain." Misty said.
"It doesn't even have a face." Ash pointed out. "How can you tell?"
"Because I'm sensitive to other's feelings, that's how." Misty said
Ash crosses his arms. "Oh yeah, like I'm not?"
"Vulpix is in pain from that attack." Anna said.
"How do you know?" Jovan asked.
"Because I care about other's feelings." Anna said.
Lilly, Violet and Daisy notices Seel clapping its fins. "Which side are you clapping for?" Violet asked.
"Staryu, wash it off!" Misty yelled.
Staryu jumps into the water and comes out to the surface quick.
"Yay!" Misty cheered. "Too bad, you didn't know Stun Spore doesn't work if you wash it in the water."
"She thinks she knows everything." Ash muttered. "Butterfree, Sleep Powder!"
Butterfree started flapping his wings above Staryu and blue, shining powder comes and is released. But Staryu jumps into the water to avoid the Sleep Powder.
"Quick Attack!" Jovan ordered.
Pidgeotto dives in at Vulpix but Vulpix dodge the attack.
"Tackle it from underwater!" Misty commanded.
Staryu shot out straight from the water spinning at Butterfree and the attack hits. But Butterfree dodges the attack several times.
"If Staryu can get Butterfree underwater, I win." Misty muttered. Misty put her hands on hips and laughed. "Water Pokémon always has the edge underwater!"
"Grr." Ash growled.
"Pikachu." Pikachu nodded.
"Pikachu, you're supposed to be on my side." Ash said angrily, looking at Pikachu.
"Chu." Pikachu said sadly.
"Misty is totally awesome." Daisy said, putting her hand on her face.
"Well, we three got good looks from the family." Lilly said. "I guess she has to get some talent."
Staryu jumps out of the water, attacking Butterfree and Butterfree landed in the water.
"Butterfree, return!" Ash called.
Butterfree transforms into red energy and went back inside the Pokéball. Then Ash took out another Pokéball.
"Pidgeotto,I choose you!" Ash threw the Pokéball and Pidgeotto appeared.
"Pidgeot!" Ash's Pidgeotto said.
"Quick Attack!" Jovan ordered.
"Ember!" Anna commanded.
Jovan's Pidgeotto dives at Vulpix and doges the attack.
"Pix!" Vulpix yelled in pain.
Anna decided to switch Vulpix.
"Vulpix, return!" Anna called, taking out Vulpix's Pokéball.
Vulpix transforms into red energy and went back inside the Pokéball.
"Come on out, Pidgeotto!" Anna called throwing a Pokéball. Anna's Pidgeotto appeared.
"Pidgeotto, return!" Jovan called, taking out Pidgeotto's Pokéball. Jovan's Pidgeotto transforms into red energy and went back inside "Do it, Growlithe!" Jovan tosses another Pokéball and Growlithe appeared.
"Misty calls Starmie!" Misty throw the Pokéball and the Pokémon appeared. It was a violet sea star-like Pokémon with a gold formation on its front. The jewel core, which can glow in seven colors, has developed to resemble a cut precious stone. A second set of semi-attached arms have formed.
"Pidgeotto, Whirlwind it away!" Ash called.
Pidgeotto started flapping his wings fast and a strong gust is created.
"Dive under and up!" Misty called.
Starmie dives into the water and hits Pidgeotto.
"Strike back with Wing Attack!" Ash ordered.
On the other side of the pool, Anna's Pidgeotto keeps dodging Growlithe.
"Quick Attack!" Anna commanded.
Anna's Pidgeotto dives down at Growlithe.
"Counter it with Bite!" Jovan ordered.
Growlithe bites Anna's Pidgeotto's wing.
"Pidgeo!" Anna's Pidgeotto cried out, landing on a water mat.
"Oh no." Anna said.
"Give it a Gust to blow away!"Ash ordered.
Ash's Pidgeotto started flapping his wings fast at a high speed, creating a miniature tornado and pushes Starmie away. Starmie hits the door and fell onto the floor.
"Starmie." Misty said, looking at Starmie. "Oh no. Starmie's energy is almost out."
"Let's get that trainer badge, Pidgeotto." Ash said.
But then the whole building started to shake.
"What's happening?!" July yelled.
"Look!" Slade shouted, pointing.
On the other side of the pool, the walls began to crash and a huge boat cart appears and stops near the side of the pool. Jovan, Ash, Misty and Anna got on the side of the pool.
"Who invited the party crashers?" Daisy asked.
"Sorry to break in on you ladies." Jessie said, appearing on the boat cart with James, Sam and Libby.
"Allow us to introduce our selves." James said, holding a blue rose.
"Prepare for trouble!"
"Make it double!"
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket, blasts off to the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth dat's right!"
Meowth jumps in front of them and Justin appears on top of the machine.
"The Water Pokémon has the advantage." James pointed out.
"But if we still the water away…" Jessie said.
"The Pokémon are ours for the taking." Sam smirked.
"And Meowth knows just how to do it." Meowth said.
"What are they trying to prove?" Daisy wondered.
A long hose came from the top of the machine and went in the water. Then it started sucking up all the water.
"A massive vacuum and a giant hose…" Ash muttered and he gasps. "Team Rocket was the robbers who broke into the store back there."
"We should've known." Jovan growled.
"Our swimming pool!" Daisy said shocked, watching the water going in the vacuum.
"They're sucking it dry." Misty said.
"That's our water." Lilly said.
"Right." Justin said. "I'll give it back." Justin pulls down a lever and fires it at them.
"AAAHHH!" They all yelled.
"You've got to protect the Water Pokémon!" Misty shouted.
Violet floated next to her. "What about my hair?!"
"Time to suck them up." Justin said pulling the lever up.
The hose went back inside the pool and started sucking up all the water.
"Seel!" Seel shouted, trapped in the pool.
"Come back, Seel!" Violet shouted.
Seel disappeared beneath the surface.
As Ash watches, Pikachu was swept inside the water along with Jovan.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted.
"Jovan!" July screams. July was about to go in when something jumps out in front of her, facing the pool. is a composite creature sharing physical traits of aquatic and land animals. It is a quadruped with three small toes on each foot and dark blue paw pads on the hind feet. Its body is light blue with dark blue ridge around its head and as a ridge down its back. This Pokémon has a split tailfin that has been mistaken for a mermaid's in the past. It has a white ruff around its neck, and three fins around its head made of cream-colored webbing.
"A Vaporeon!" Misty yelled amazed.
Landing right beside it was the mysterious hooded figure.
"Looks like we made it." The hooded figure said.
"It's you." Seth said, standing up.
"Can you help him?" July asked.
The mysterious hooded figure nodded. "Vaporeon, dive into the pool and rescue Jovan!" the hooded figure commanded.
Vaporeon dives into the water along with Dratini. Under water, Vaporeon can see Jovan holding onto Pikachu with his left arm while trying to swim away from the hose. Jovan lost his grip and Pikachu was sent to the surface. Vaporeon grabs Jovan from the collar and went along with the current. As soon they were close to the side of the pool, the hooded figure grabs Jovan out of the water as Vaporeon jumps out of the pool with Dratini.
"Water conducts electricity." Ash said. Ash cups his hands around his mouth. "Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"
"Pikachu!" Pikachu yelled, releasing a powerful bolt of electricity.
The electricity went towards the vacuum and shocks Team Rocket. Then the shocking stops.
"At times like these, makes me want to go straight." James groans as they fell into the pool. "Now I know how it feels to be washed up."
"We'll never come clean." Jessie groans.
"It can't get any worse now, can it?" Sam asked dazed.
They were all sucked up into the vacuum and out the back hose, flying while Seel claps its fins.
"Looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!" they yelled before they disappeared.
After Team Rocket is gone, Pikachu is still in the water.
"Cha!" Pikachu yelled.
"Oh no!" Daisy gasps.
"Pikachu!" Misty shouted.
Ash ran to the other side of the pool to try to shut down the vacuum. As Ash was running, Pikachu was sucked inside the hose. Ash climbs inside the boat and dove for the switch.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted as he pushes the lever down.
The hose rose in the air and Pikachu was sent flying and landed safely in Daisy's arms.
"Pikachu." Pikachu muttered happily.
As they were all looking at the damage, Misty remembers something. "Hey." Misty said. "We never get to finish our match." Misty said.
"Yeah." Ash said.
"I agree." Anna said.
Jovan turns his head to the right to look at Anna. "And I was about to win it too."
"What?" Misty and Anna asked.
"You could say that you're match was postpone, like due to the rain." Violet said.
"At least nobody lost." Cleo said.
"I wanted to win." Misty said, looking up.
"Looks like we're not getting that Cascade Badge." Ash said, bummed.
"Wrong." Daisy said.
They all look at her and Emma and the two girls was holding five Cascade Badges.
"We're giving it to you." Emma said.
"What?" Jovan asked, raising his eyebrows.
Anna looks at Emma confused.
"Why do they get the Badge? July and Seth didn't even battle except Jovan and me along with Ash and Misty." Anna said.
"Pikachu was the one who save us all." Daisy said. "And if you use Pikachu from the start, there's no way you're Water Pokémon could won."
"It was also brave of you to save Pikachu, Jovan." The mysterious hooded figure said.
"Oh man." Misty said.
"But wait." Anna said. "If I'm a Gym Trainer and challenging the other Gyms, doesn't that break the rules?"
"Yes." Selena said. "But once the Pokémon League heard that you'll be travelling with Ash, challenging the Gyms and becoming a Gym Trainer, they're giving you special permission to do this."
"Sweet!" Anna smiled.
"Take the Badge, everyone." Emma said. "You all deserve it." Emma and Daisy handed them the Cascade Badge.
"We'll take it."Ash smiled.
Pikachu and Dratini nodded.
It was already late afternoon and Misty stood in front of her sisters of the Gym.
And so Ash, Jovan, July, Anna and Seth has earned their second Pokémon Trainer Badge.
"Misty." Lily said. "You just go right on trying to be a Pokémon Trainer. You might as well be good at something because you'll never be stars as us."
"You'll keep that up and you'll be seeing stars!" Misty yelled.
Violet raises her hands in defense. "Chill out." Violet said.
"Misty, be careful." Daisy said. "You know we love you."
"Yeah." Misty nodded.
Anna hugs her sisters. "You take care now." Anna said.
"Right back at you." Emma said.
"Jovan." Cleo said, looking at Jovan. "Take care of Anna for us."
"I will." Jovan nodded.
"Also, you might be a nice as Anna's boyfriend." Selena added, making Jovan blushed.
"My boyfriend?!" Anna yelled.
Everyone laughed. As they were all laughing, Seth forgot about something.
"What is it, Seth?" July asked.
"I wonder what happen to the hooded figure." Seth answered.
"Look." Misty pointed.
Standing in front of them was the mysterious hooded figure with Vaporeon.
"Thank you for saving me." Jovan thanked the mysterious hooded figure.
The hooded figure nodded. "Your welcome."
But then Jovan felt something in his head. July notices Jovan bring his right hand to his head.
"What's wrong, Jovan?" July asked.
Then July, Anna, Seth and Slade felt something in their head as well then it went away.
"Are you guys alright?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, thanks." Jovan said.
But the hooded figure knows why they felt that in their heads. "So it's already beginning." The hooded figure thought and Vaporeon and the hooded figure disappeared.
"Hey guys!" Brock called, running over to them.
"Yo, Brocko." Ash greeted Brock as he stops in front of them.
"How'd it go?" Brock asked.
"See for yourself." Jovan said as they all showed Brock the Cascade Badge.
Brock nodded. "Cool, let's go." Brock said as he turns around and started to walk.
"Right." Ash said, following Brock.
"You're not leaving without me." Misty said, catching up to the two boys, followed by Jovan, July, Seth, Anna, and Slade.
"Misty, you're not gonna be a sore loser now, are you?" Ash asked angrily.
"I didn't lose anything, it was a draw." Misty said angrily.
Daisy and Violet looks at each while Lily puts her hands behind her head. Emma, Cleo, and Selena smiled as they watch.
"Well, we're the ones who got the badge." Jovan said.
"What?!" Anna shouted. "You know that you and Ash lost with Pidgeotto and Butterfree."
"That was just round one. We've made a great comeback." Ash said.
"If Team Rocket hadn't busted in, we would've destroy you." Anna said.
"Plus we did stop them from stealing the water." July pointed out.
"You're lucky that they showed up, you were about to lose." Ash said.
"We were just getting started." Misty said.
"Oh yeah?" Ash asked.
"Oh yeah." Anna said.
"Oh brother." Seth and Brock said.
