Chapter 44: The Bringer of Light.

Aiden woke with a sudden start as he felt the presence of fear and worry near him and he woke to find Macha had left the bed and was standing nearby, she was pacing back and forth and worrying at her finger tips like a human chewing on their nails.

"What's wrong my beauty queen? What is it?" Aiden said, going instantly on alert and that shift in him woke T'Shara, who opened her eyes and even through her sleep addled brain noticed something was wrong with her loved ones and sat bolt up right, instantly on alert.

"What is it my beloved ones!? What's happening?" she asked, echoing Aiden's words moments earlier.

"Something is wrong with Jet and Liquid, I can feel them through our hive link, something worries them so deeply that I can feel it, only hours ago they were bathing in happiness and joy so rich it warmed my heart even in my sleep, but now..." she said, her voice trailing off and instantly both Aiden and T'Shara were up and off the bed and at her sides, embracing the worried Xeno between them.

"Don't worry, our beauty queen, we will find out what's happening, I'm sure that they're fine but we will go to them and find out, you two, take Jet, I will go to Liquid," Aiden said, releasing his beloved ones to get dressed and both women nodded and followed suit, in fact, they all got dressed in record time and began to move.

Aiden tried Liquid's room first and found no one home, his security clearance allowed him to open the door but he found the room empty, suddenly a thought occured to him that he was still thinking like an ordinary human, he started to think like an Angel.

Aiden reached out with his mind, he felt his heart and mind attune to everything around him, he could feel them, all of them, every living thing aboard this ship, from the living and loving people all around him right down to the happy little bees that lived in their garden onboard and it was beautiful, the pure ebb of life, all interconnected like a web of life and energy, it was at that point he realized that they were all the same, every single one of them.

His mind strummed that web like a harp sending ripples along it like sending out a call, it created a pulse that seemed to resonate along that web until Liquid's heart answered him and sent a pulse of its own back along the web and he realised there was a second heart with him, it was Ice.

Aiden smiled as he realised their very own love doctor had stolen away Macha's adoptive son, "Not so much humans only anymore, ehh, doc?" he mumbled to himself as he walked through the corridors towards her room, his wings swishing as he walked, the people he passed all stopping to salute him and some even bowed to him, it was an odd feeling being so revered, yesterday he was human, yesterday he was just a normal cyborg soldier with two incredible women on his arms and now, now he was an Angel, a Dark Angel, and he could feel their hope, they believed in him, they'd seen what he'd done or heard about it, the Spirit who chose love over paradise, who chose to come back as an Angel and fight the darkest force in the universe just so he could be with the women he loved.

As he reached the door Aiden pressed the bell and a second later the door opened to find a rather worried looking Ice standing there, "Reaper, oh, thank the gods! Something's happening to Liquid and I don't know what to do! I've never seen this before," she said, pulling him inside by the arm and leading him to Liquid who was curled up in what appeared to be a ball of resin in the corner of her bedroom, it looked like the sort of thing you found in an actual Xeno hive.

Aiden leaned down and pressed a hand to the hard mass and instantly he felt Liquid's life force pulsing brightly, suddenly he realized he could feel his mind through both his Angelic abilities but also through the hive link that Macha had imbued him with, he tuned in to the young Xeno male's thoughts.

"Liquid, can you hear me?" he said through his mind, there was a stirring through the fluid ether.

"My king, you're here," Liquid said, and Aiden could feel his worry, but he wasn't worried for himself, he was worried for Ice.

"I'm here, my adoptive son, how can I help, whats going on?" he asked.

"It's ok, my king, I'm changing, I found my one true love, I'm becoming a Praetorian for her, to protect her, please tell her not to worry, I tried to tell her yesterday but I don't think she understood, but in a few moments she will see the change is nearly complete," Liquid said, and Aiden felt his heart ease up and he felt his smile crossing his face.

"You got it, young one," Aiden said, and he disconnected from the resin like cocoon and turned to the worried looking Ice with a warm smile on his face, "Your beautiful Xeno boy is just fine, Ice, turns out you stole his heart truly and completely last night so you must have given him the night of his life, my friend, because he's changing, he's becoming a Praetorian, because of you, because he loves you, his desire to protect you and love you burns like a star in his chest, this has triggered his metamorphosis and soon you will have a brand new Xeno with the same heart to love, so I'm going to say this bluntly, speaking as an adoptive father, which is something I never imagined in my life I would do, you look after that boy and you treat him right, because he will love you as powerfully and brightly from the first day to his last, Xeno love never fades," he said.

Ice nodded as relief washed over her face and she sighed heavily, "Thank you, Reaper, and I promise you I will, I never imagined I could ever love anyone other than a human but this beautiful Xeno just stole my heart, when they arrived and I got a good look at them I-I-I couldn't believe how beautiful they were up close, I mean, up 'till then the only Xeno's I'd ever seen all tried to kill us, or, you know, impregnate us, but between them and the Battle Angels I realized that they were just so much more than I thought and the more I looked, the more I liked what I saw, then I saw him and just, wow, here was this nervous, cute as a button, friendly as a puppy young Xeno with a heart of gold and a soul of spun silver, I-I-I had to have him, to make him mine and only mine, now he is and I couldn't be happier, Aiden, he's the love of my life and he's only been mine for a night but, oh, god, what a night," Ice said with such happiness in her voice that he could feel it too.

Aiden patted her on the shoulder and no sooner had he done so there was a loud cracking noise and they both turned to look at the cocoon and as they did the entire lid of it cracked and lifted off and a large crested head popped out like a chick breaking out of a chicken's egg, he even had a piece of the cocoon sat on the top of his newly shaped crested head like a little crown, he kinda looked like a smaller version of a regular Xeno queen, his head was wider with a flatter top and ridged at the rear with angular points, his body itself was more muscular and wider, his tail was thicker and had longer points on it like a triple form of barb that made it kinda look like a trident, he was also taller.

"Oh, wow, just when I thought you couldn't get any more handsome and beautiful," Ice exclaimed, looking at Liquid as he freed himself from the resin cocoon, she moved right up and embraced him, obviously not caring about the mucous still sticking to his hide and now to hers, she reached up and pulled his big head down, guiding him into a deep and loving kiss.

"Well, I'll leave you love birds alone to get cleaned up and sorted out, remember what I said, Ice," Aiden said, and she gave him a mute thumbs up, never taking her mouth away from Liquid's.

In his head Aiden heard Liquid's voice, "Thank you, my king," he said softly, and Aiden smiled over his shoulder, giving him the same thumbs up that Ice gave him before turning and heading off in search of his girls.

When Aiden opened the door to Rose's quarters he found the excitable young human Tamer bouncing around Jet, who was now in her new form too, the female form of a Praetorian, she seemed to want to check out every single inch of her and was also going mad with a cloth to clean her big girl up, Jet was standing there grinning like an idiot and obviously pleased as punch that her girlfriend was happy with her new body.

Once Rose was finished with her cleaning she jumped into Jet's arms and wrapped hers around the big Xeno girl's neck and clung to her, "I'm sooo glad my girl is ok, Jesus, Jet, you scared the shit out of me when I woke up and found you in that cocoon, I didn't know what happened to you! I was so fucking scared!" Rose squealed, nuzzling the side of Jet's face.

"I'm so sorry, my human heart, I didn't realise the change would happen so quickly after you stole my heart, I thought I'd have time to prepare you for it, so, ummmm, surprise?" Jet said, and Rose burst out laughing.

"Silly Xeno, and, before you ask me the next question I know is bouncing around in that gorgeous head of yours, yes, I fucking love the new you, you were gorgeous before, you're mega gorgeous now, I didn't think it was possible for you to get more beautiful but you just had to prove me wrong, didn't you?" Rose said, and Macha purred approvingly before she approached the pair.

"You look wonderful, my daughter, I am so very, very proud of you and I know that your birth mother would be too, Rose, I will say this once and only once, you have taken my daughter's heart, you own it now, you cherish her and love her the way she deserves or you will answer to me," Macha said in her best regal, authoritive queen's voice, and Rose nodded at her solemnly.

"I will, Macha, you have my word of honor as a Tamer, this daughter of yours is safe and loved with me and always will be," she said, Macha nodded approvingly.

"Good, now, we will leave you to get cleaned up, we will be on the bridge," Macha said, and, as they passed by, T'Shara ruffled Rose's hair affectionately.

"Good job, young one, good job," T'Shara said.

"Loving her is no job, it's my truest honor," Rose said, tightening her grip on Jet, who was hugging her back tightly and looked so very happy and emotional, it was obvious she couldn't be prouder of the woman she loved and Aiden smiled as he left the room, patting both his girls on their shoulders before the three of them joined hands and headed for the bridge.

"Ahhh, Reaper, good timing I was about to call you up here, looks like the intel provided to us by Vexan and Leroy for the facility has paid off, we'll be entering orbit very soon but we are already picking things up on our long range sensors that indicate it's exactly where they said it would be, so let's get everyone ready, this time we're not on the back foot, we're going to bring the fucking hammer down on their heads and then we're going to shove it right up their fucking arse," Queen Bee said, and Aiden grinned.

"Oh, I'm going to enjoy this, been spoiling for some payback," he said, and everyone around him nodded, including Jack and Tik eleth who had entered moments after the three of them, though for some reason Jack looked refreshed and Tik looked knackered, but both looked happy as can be.

"So, what do have on sensors boss?" Aiden asked, turning to look at the readouts, the screen was spitting out long range figures that had three glowing green blips on it.

"There are three small ships guarding it but it's obvious they're trying to keep it hidden, the ships are corvettes, no match for us, we'll cut right through them like a hot knife," Queen Bee said.

"So, hammer them from orbit, or drop?" Aiden asked.

"Too deep in the ground, damn thing is buried in the side of a mountain, we could turn the whole planet into glass and still not get them," Jack said.

"So hot drop in then?" Aiden said with a grin that he turned towards Spike who was sat at the E-Warfare station with T'Kell leaning over his shoulders and he saw him grimace.

"Don't worry, Spike, I'm sure you can catch a lift down with T'Kell, I'm sure she won't mind, just do us a favor and keep your armor on guys," Aiden said, and T'Kell purred and clicked happily.

"No promises, Reaper, do you know hard it is to keep my hands off this ooman?" T'Kell growled.

"I know your struggle, sister," Tik eleth growled softly as she stroked Jack's face lovingly and he looked both pleased and proud.

"Alright, we can expect both heavy resistance and that they will be very deeply dug in, full bio-hazard protocols, this is the place they set up to mass produce this vile, evil shit, chances are they got weapons capable of delivering it and they will not hesitate to use it on us, so full armor with bio-hazard modules, respirators and self contained oxygen only," Aiden said.

Nods all 'round, "You will lead us in, Dark one, the entire Guardian Core will follow where you lead us, our purpose is to support and protect the Dark Angel, the warrior of the Gods, both myself and my beloved one will be right there at your side when you lead the charge, just like your beloved ones will, we will all stand together as one in the face of this threat, Spirits, Guardian Core, Halkrath, Section 5, all of us are one and we will show them what we can do when we stand together, we will bring them down or die trying," Jack Mason said proudly, and Aiden clapped a hand on his broad shoulder and his other on Tik's even broader one.

"Nothing makes me prouder than to stand tall and to fight at your sides, this goes for all of you, every last one of you," he said, looking around at them all as he said it and every single one of them, Queen Bee included, snapped to attention and saluted him.

"Lead us to victory, boss, with the fucking Dark Angel on our side how can we lose?" Spike said, and there was a cheer from everyone.

Spike and Tank managed to make adaptations to Reaper's armor to include his wings, using a design thought up by the Guardian Core for Draconis that used a flexible and incredibly strong polymer to cover them which not only protected them somewhat but still allowed their use, not so effective when you had feathers but over short distance it shouldn't make any real difference, it was the seal that was important.

Reaper led the procession down to the hanger bay, they were using drop pods because of their speed, they didn't want to give them a chance to shoot down their troops, in the hanger bay everyone was geared up and ready to go, there were Halkrath wearing their golden armor that marked them as elites, Section Five in their plain white gear that while it looked plain was all about function, Guardian Core in a rainbow of colors designating their division or group and right in the centre the Spirits in their dark blue and black gear.

Reaper stood right in the middle, feeling every set of eyes turning to him, "Alright, people, listen up, thanks to our new found friends we know basically what we're walking into, undoubtedly they know we're coming for them so they will have been scrambling to reinforce themselves and their positions, I'm hoping that we've got here quick enough that we've managed to catch them with their pants around their ankles and it's my full intention to ram a spiky fist made up of all of us together right well and truly up their collective arse, we are gonna pay those fuckers back for every innocent person, every family member, every friend and comrade they killed, we are the best Special Forces in the known universe, today we're going to fucking prove that once and for all!" Reaper said, his voice rising to a yell at the end and the room erupted into a collection of cheers, bellows, and roars of pride in every flavor you could imagine, fists pumped into the air, "Mount up, people, time to put foot to arse!" Reaper yelled, and everyone began climbing into their pods.

No sooner had the ship dropped into orbit than they went weapons hot, the rail guns and plasma throwers went crazy, spewing out multiple flavors of death at the ships in orbit, catching them completely off guard, before they even had a chance to try and send a distress call out the three of them were pulverized into floating shrapnel that would put on a lovely fireworks display when it hit the planet's atmosphere.

"Drop in five...four...three...two...one...go!" Reaper yelled, and the pods shot out of the launch bay like over sized torpedoes screaming towards the green and red planet, moving up into a formation, suddenly a voice came over the intercom.

"Ok, who the hell struck rabbit ears to the top of my helmet? And why weren't they there before I put it on!?" Rose said accusingly, there was a symphony of laughter.

"Bounder! I as leader of the Tamers herby name you Bounder!" Ryan said through the comms.

"Finally, a joke goes right and doesn't result in running and screaming!" Spike yelled triumphantly.

"Just you wait 'till we get back to the ship, nerd boy, I got all your running and screaming right here!" Rose yelled as they hit the atmosphere, and the echoes of the laughter bounced around the inside of Aiden's pod.

The pod bounced and shook as it breached the atmosphere and streaks of red and gold flames licked at the glass and fingers of soot formed as the pod rocketed through the planet's atmosphere like a missile with Aiden inside, his displays showed his flight path in a series of green and yellow displays, as predicted they had anti-air defences but the Spirit's Devil's Door Knockers were built for this and instantly all of them scattered like roaches with the lights coming on.

"Whooooo! I love this part!" Picasso yelled through the intercom as the pods danced and dodged in every direction, this stuff wasn't even a quarter as thick as what had been thrown at them on New Britannia but there were more pods to target as well, to their anti-air it would have been like trying to shoot gnats out of the sky with a pistol, very soon they were hitting the ground and soldiers were jumping out of their pods, grabbing their weapons and getting ready for impending shit making contact with fan blades, but even in the midst of this organised chaos Aiden couldn't stifle the laugh that ripped out of his chest when he saw Rose hop out of her pod and realized that Spike had given her a cute little cotton tail to match her ears, oh, Jet was going to love this image, but Aiden couldn't for the life of him figure out how Spike had gotten them to move or when he'd found the time to install them covertly, that boy really was a wonder sometimes.

"Everyone, sound off!" Reaper yelled into the comms, and instantly he began getting answering calls as the pods touched down, Jack was rallying his Soul Knights, T'Sall, the regular Seekers and Ryan, the Tamers, Reaper couldn't help but snigger at the way Rose's tail twitched and bounced as she walked and the way her ears seemed to twitch and turn to track things, it appeared the Spike had hooked them up with some kind of enhanced aural sensors to improve her hearing, so they weren't just aesthetic pranks, they were actually useful, or at least the ears were.

The Spirits popped up around him and soon the other groups came in, "Ok, guys, real simple, Halkrath and Hunters go camo, skirt around them, Sela, take your Saviours and get your snipers up on that ridge over there, Whisper, you're with them, myself, the Soul Knights, and the Tamers are going to rush them because the speed that we can move should make it impossible for them to draw beads on us, I want everyone jinking cover to cover, Section 5, you and Tank put those heavy weapons to good use and lay a wall of fire down on them, make them get their heads down, everyone else spread out, get what cover you can and advance as we clear sections, watch out for hidden weapons points, everyone good?" Reaper said, and there were nods all around.

"Then let's fucking move!" Reaper yelled, holding his swords aloft and with a cheer everyone broke like a football team, heading for their points, the ground was rocky and sandy, like loose gravel coated in red dust that stuck to everything, it also kicked up clouds when they began to run over it, that's when the shooting started.

It was a surreal experience, charging into oncoming weapons fire, and it never changed, no matter how many times you did it, adrenaline flooded your body and in an odd twist made you numb while at the same time super stimulating your senses, the only way to really describe it is like being one step disconnected from your body while at the same time being ahead of it.

A deadly and potent mixture of plasma and metal cooked the air around them, sizzling or whining past them with every near miss increasing with every step they took, the group of Seekers were following him and it was incredible how fast they all moved and for a moment Aiden wondered how he was going to keep up with them all until he realized they were the ones struggling to keep up with him, he was moving so fast he could actually watch the bright streaks of fire coming towards him and move well out of the way of the bright mini shooting stars long before they got anywhere near him, something he realized they were all doing.

Tik eleth and her Hunters had vanished into thin air, along with the entire Halkrath and Inferno, they were doing their Yautja thing and moving around their enemies position, ready to flank them at the right moment, getting ready to hit them from both sides in a pincer style ambush that the enemy wouldn't see coming until they had a couple of hundred pounds of angry Yautja driving a wrist blade through their armored guts like a hot knife.

Sela eleth with her Saviors and Whisper had headed for a ridge made of red dusty rock a few hundred meters away to set up a sniper screen where they would pop the melons of anyone stupid enough to lift their heads above the ground of their fox hole or pillbox.

At the rear, Section 5 with Tank Picasso and the remainder of the Spirits, not to mention a squad of Battle Angels, were raining fire down on their attackers, forcing them to get their heads down and hold fast while they were charged, it worked beautifully.

The first one Aiden reached was a very angry looking Yautja male who popped his head up at the wrong time to fire at the attacking forces from his small dug out fox hole, Aiden didn't even break his stride as he swiped his head clean from his shoulders in a fountain of glowing green blood spinning on the spot to deflect a plasma shot intended to strike Rose to his left back at her surprised attacker who exploded in a fountain of red goo as the plasma cell of his gun ruptured after taking its own projectile straight back down its own barrel, causing a cascade.

"Holy shit, did you fucking see that!? He hit his fucking bullet back! Return to sender, mother fucker!" Rose yelled before turning to another who popped his head up to aim at her, a momentary look of utter confusion crossing his face as he found himself face to face with what appeared to be an armored bunny rabbit, not that she gave him much time to think before slamming her cybernetic fist straight through his helmet face plate and punching clean through his head before using his limp body as a bullet sponge to absorb the fire of his hole mate's weapon before promptly using her enhanced strength to full effect and hitting the startled man with his now very dead friend and shooting him through the gap with her other hand with her pistol before switching back to her bow in one fluid move that made her look like she was dancing, she even finished the move with a little wiggle of her fluffy tail, which she was still clueless about.

The defenders were as varied in species as the team attacking them, Scalathor, Human, Yautja, Felenis, even a couple of Draconis, all dressed in an odd mixture of what looked like ceremonial black robes with armor underneath, not that it was doing them a lot of good as the weapons that the team was using were all designed to cut through all known armors like butter, out of nowhere figures began snapping backwards and dropping and Aiden realized the snipers were opening up, making the defenders try to burrow themselves down deeper into their fox holes to avoid the incoming fire.

Which in turn left them at the mercy of the Seekers and seconds later the Hunters and Halkrath who began materializing out of thin air all around them, killing and then vanishing again only to pop up somewhere else, Aiden felt something odd building inside him, like a fire building inside him and it was suddenly reflected in his swords, they lit up and the blades began to spark and flare with what felt like fire and lightning combining into a swirling cloud around each blade while an arc of what looked like red lighting joined the two blades.

He felt an irrisistable urge to reach out with his mind and he instantly became aware of all the life around him, everyone and every thing, nothing could hide from him, even those buried deep in their holes out of his sight lit up in his vision like a collection of little sparkling lights, the more he focused and gave into the feeling the clearer everything became and like an instinct he just knew who was who without looking at them, like his mind tuned in to who was his friend and who was his foe and in a flicker all those he considered enemy changed, their lights becoming a sparkling collection of blacks and dark blues, like someone put a black light bulb in their chest and filled them with little prisms.

The swords suddenly yearned to reach out and touch them and it was like he knew what to do, he slammed both blades into the ground on either side of his feet and the red lightning now, instead of connecting to each other, connected to him and as he reached out his hands into the air in front of him a bolt of it jumped out from his finger tips, each and every one splitting into multiple smaller ones, each one seeking out one of those collections of black and blue light.

As soon as it hit them he could feel them like a connection to their life force, like the red lightning was creating a bridge of sorts, like a rope or a tether between them, he gripped them like they were actual ropes and pulled and it was like yanking a lasso that tore the life force right out of their very souls.

The energy traveled along the lighting and traveled into his own soul and it charged him like a battery or a tesla coil, each one he tore the life force from screamed and turned to dust like a pillar of ash, leaving only their empty armor behind as the winds tore what remained away like fine volcanic ash.

Aiden felt energy like fire burning through him and it set every fibre of his being aflame, his wings flared and felt like they were super heating, burning off the polymer covering them, exposing them to the air of the planet as alarms went off in his helmet about the seals being breached but he didn't care a single fuck, right now he was feeling like an over charged battery, power was coursing through him and before he knew it he was moving like a bullet towards the door of the facility, it was a triple reinforced blast door, wide enough to get vehicles in and out of like trucks, but not ships.

Like a jet black rectangle cut into the side of a red rock mountain, in comparison Aiden running at it and punching it with everything he had was like an ant punching a human, but this ant hit with so much force he snapped the door clean off its rails and sent it spinning like a lethal disc into the facility.

"RRRRRAAAAAAAHHHHHH, FUCK YOU!" Aiden bellowed with all his might in a voice so loud it actually made the bunker vibrate.

"Ok, the boss just punched a blast door in with his bare hands, note to self, no mankind for him, no matter how much Inferno or Macha beg me because bluntly I am far more afraid of him than any fucker else," Spike said over the comms in an utterly amazed voice.

"Breach now!" Tik's voice yelled before Hunters and Seekers and everyone else poured into the facility like heavily armed ants invading the nest of another, but what they saw made them all freeze in place, it was like a factory, in the centre was a series of huge tanks like steel vats, around them were weapon assembly stations making missiles, bullets, and all sorts of other things in order to spread the virus.

The door tore through two of the tanks, spilling their black tar like contents down over the technicians at their base who instantly began screaming as the liquid ate right through their white protective isolation suits like they'd been bathed in acid, a wave of it came rushing towards Aiden and a second before it engulfed him and his team he reached out his hand and stopped it dead.

The liquid broke against the invisible field of energy pulsing from Aiden like waves breaking against rocks, a small smile crossed his face as he realized something, he could turn their own vile weapon against them, this thing was alive, he could feel it, just like he'd been able to feel the life force and energy of those beings outside, the whole team gathered behind him, using him like a wave break to prevent the fluid getting anywhere near them.

The technicians exposed to it were convulsing and already turning, Adien focused his mind and found that he could feel the life in this fluid, its desire to infect them, its burning need to merge with them, to change them, this wasn't just a virus, this was engineer tech, but it had been changed, corrupted, morphed into something new and darker than it was before, his eyes opened in that way they had outside and before him the wave of glittering life, then he reached out just like he did before, the red lightning reaching out and enveloping the wave like a net bag hooking into every single living cell in there and he stripped it, pulling the life right out of it.

There was an incredible amount here, so much more than had been out side with the sentient beings, his wings began to crackle as red lightning arced between his feathers, "Back up! Now!" Jack yelled, and everyone backed away from Aiden, taking cover as, with a tremendous amount of force, he threw the entire wave back into the room right into the faces of the defenders as they began to spill into the room.

Aiden turned to Jack as he emerged from cover, "Plan B?" Jack said, and Aiden nodded.

"Yeah, Plan B, there's way too much here, I thought we'd be dealing with a few missiles, not this, this one place could kill the entire fucking universe," Aiden said, looking around, the team were spreading out and head shotting the turned technicians as they began to lumber towards them.

"Tank, front and centre," Aiden yelled, and the big Scotsman appeared like a genie out of a rubbed lamp at his side.

"Whatcha need, boss?" he asked.

"Plan B, you get it set up, get Spike hooked into their systems and get him downloading everything he can find," he said.

"We're not going deeper?" Tank asked, and Aiden shook his head.

"No, we're glassing this planet, this place, it cannot exist, not a single one of these weapons or people in here can leave it," Aiden said flatly.

"Roger that, boss, I'll set it up," Tank said, and he gestured to Spike who nodded, having heard the whole thing and got to work.

"What is that?" Rose asked as Tank took a large cylindrical object out of his backpack and began to open out spider like legs so it looked like a very odd shaped crab.

"Antimatter bomb, one that will utterly destroy this facility and vaporise everything inside it, nothing can survive it," Jack said.

"I don't get it, if that was the plan why didn't we just blast the planet from orbit?" Rose asked, obviously confused.

"Simple, the bunker is protected, so even if we used a planet cracker there is still a slight chance that we could send this place hurtling off into space like a giant fucking meteor of mega death ony for it to hit some innocent planet later on and boom, starts all over again, this way we get the intel from their computers and hopefully find their main base, we turn every drop of this stuff to atoms, then we turn the planet to dust as well, then, even if we do create an asteroid with this place inside there will be nothing that can hurt anyone because it will be gone," he said, and Rose looked amazed but nodded in understanding.

"Pity, I was really hoping to do this face to face," she said, and he nodded.

"Yeah, me too, but the mission comes first," Aiden said.

Suddenly an elevator pinged to their right and a group of black robed figures spilled out but these were different from the regular soldiers that had been protecting the facility, the way they moved, the weapons they carried, plus, Aiden could sense a build up of a darkness around them like a void of black surrounding them, "Looks like you might get your chance Bounder, the real welcome wagon just arrived," Adien said as the large group of Nightmare Assassins fanned out and began squaring off with their Seeker counterparts.

The rest of the team began to line up their weapons until Aiden held up a hand, "You guys make sure they don't get anywhere near the device or Spike, we got this," he said as the Seekers lined up on either side of him, facing off against their dark counter parts.

Aiden could actually feel the presence of the dark gods and goddesses through them, like seeds of evil planted inside these creatures to take root and grow into monsters, like some sort of desired tree trying to spread it vile roots, they could feel the presence of the Seekers and he could feel their greed, their hunger to control them, to turn them into the same mindless slaves that stood before him, each taken willingly before realizing just what they'd gotten themselves into, "Alright, guys, let's do this!" he yelled, rasing his swords and every Dream Warrior raised their weapon and cheered, charging.
