Mystery at the Lighthouse

"The road got to be somewhere." Ash said.

"Everything's somewhere." Seth said.

"Ash, have you gotten us lost again?" Misty asked.

It was late afternoon as everyone was walking through the forest.

Well here's a familiar going through the forest, once again our heroes have lost their way.

"Pikachu." Pikachu said.

It's been quite a while since Ash, Jovan, July, Anna and Seth left Pallet Town and a lot has happen during their Pokémon journey. They have already earned two of the qualifiing badges to participate in the Pokémon League, the Boulder Badge and the Cascade Badge.

"Pretty impressive, huh?" Ash smirked as he showed off his badges.

Everyone stops walking. Misty crossed her arms over chest. "You didn't earn those Badges." Misty said. "Just because Brock and I feel sorry for you."

Ash walks up to her. "Did too." Ash argue.

"Chill guys." Brock said putting hands in front of them.

Ash took a couple steps back.

"Ash, Jovan, July, Anna and Seth all have two Badges and Ash and Jovan has six Pokémon. The rest of you need six Pokémon to compete in the Pokémon League."

That's right Brock. In the League, trainers can carry up to six Pokémon at a time. What are their names again, Ash?

"Their names are Pikachu, Pidgeotto, Butterfree, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle." Ash said, snapping his fingers. "And I've caught them all fair and square."

"Caught them?" Anna repeated. "Ash, all your Pokémon followed you."

"Well, Heh heh." Ash chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head. "They're mine and that's what really counts for a Pokémon Trainer."

Misty stared at Ash with her hands on hips.

"Oh brother." Jovan said.

"This may come to a surprise to you, but real Pokémon Trainers catch Pokémon on their own." Misty said, shrugging her shoulders.

Ash hung his head. "You never give me a break." Ash sighed.

"That's because you kept bragging about those two badges." Misty said.

"It's really not unusual." Brock said. "For trainers to capture twenty or thirty Pokémon."

Misty turns to look at him. "You're lucky that your Pokémon follow you around."Misty looks at Ash. "And don't forget Ash, that you have our help too."

Brock looks at Ash. "Yeah, don't forget about that, Ash." Brock added.

Ash sat down on the ground with his head hung down. "You guys never let me have my moment. But I'll show you!"

Ash quickly got up, taking out a Pokébal and jumping in front of them. "I'm gonna prove to you I can do it! I'll be a Pokémon Master!"

Ash turns around to look at his friends. "Stand back and watch me work." Ash said with a determined look on his face.

"We'll go with you too, Ash." Slade said. "Jovan, July, Anna and Seth should capture a Pokémon on their own too."

Jovan walks up to Brock. "We'll go on ahead." Jovan said.

After leaving Brock, Misty and Slade several minutes ago, Ash, Jovan, July, Anna and Seth ran on the path of the forest as the path led them out of the woods and onto the beach.

"Whoa!" Ash gasps as everyone stops running.

Ash, Jovan, July, Anna and Seth found their way out of the woods and found a beautiful beach and a sparkling blue ocean. But Ash seems disappointed.

"I don't want to watch the sunset." Ash said with his head hung down. "I want to catch more Pokémon."

Ash lift his head a little bit and saw something little moving towards him. "Huh?" Ash asked.

It has a strong outer shell protecting its small body. Its upper half is red, containing two small spikes facing upwards on the top of its head. Its lower body is light tan and doubles as its jaw with two fangs overlapping its upper body. Its hips are visible on the lower front of its body connected to its long, thin legs, which have small, claw-like feet.

Another one went between Jovan's legs and joins the first one.

Ash bends over and look through between his legs, watching the two small Pokémon walking away. "Hey, come back here." Ash said.

Ash stood up and turns around to look at it.

"It's a Pokémon." Ash said.

Everyone took out their Pokédex.

"Krabby. Lives near the shore. It's average height is 16 inches."

"A Pokémon is a Pokémon." Jovan said.

"But these two Krabby sure is shrimpy." Ash said, looking at the two Krabby.

The first Krabby didn't like that and bubbles were forming in its mouth.

"I didn't mean to insult you, Krabby." Ash said, starting to poke its red pinchers. "You're a cute little-"

But the first Krabby cuts him off by pinching his finger.

"Aahh!" Ash yelled in pain, standing up quickly.

The first Krabby landed next to the second Krabby as Jovan went up to Ash.

"Ookie. Ookie." The first Krabby said, getting ready to fight.

The wind blew from the North against Ash and Jovan's hair.

"Showdown time." Ash said. "Tiny or not, you're a Pokémon and I'll show Brock, Misty and Slade that I can catch you."

The waves crashed against rocky wall as Ash and the first Krabby charges each other. Ash picks up a stick and attacks the first Krabby. The first Krabby uses his pinchers to cut the stick in pieces.

"Go Pokéball!" Ash shouted, throwing a Pokéball at the first Krabby.

It made contact with him as the first Krabby was transformed into red energy. The Pokéball shook a few times and stops.

"Heh heh." Ash chuckled.

The second Krabby jumps into the air and attacks Jovan, but Jovan took dodge to left to avoid getting pinch.

"Try MY Sand-Attack!" Jovan shouted, throwing sand at the second Krabby.

The second Krabby try to rubs her eyes and didn't notice that Jovan took out a Pokéball.

"Go Pokéball!" Jovan shouted, throwing the Pokéball at the second Krabby.

The sphere made contact with the second Krabby as she transformed into red energy and went inside the Pokéball. It shook for a few seconds and stops.

"Excellent." Jovan smiled.

Ash walks up to the Pokéball and picks it up. Jovan walks up to him.

"We finally caught one." Jovan said.

"Nice try, Krabby, but not good enough." Ash said.

All of a sudden, the two Pokéballs were beginning to glow red.

"Huh?" Ash asked confused, looking at the Pokéball.

A bright white light shines from the two spheres and disappeared.

"What happened?" Jovan asked, looking at Anna.

"Where's our new Krabby go?" Ash wondered, looking around him. "I don't see it anywhere! Where'd it go?!"

"Didn't you know that Trainers can only carry up to six Pokémon?" Misty asked as she, Brock and Slade went up to them.

"Huh?" Ash asked confused, turning to look at them.

"Trainers can only have up to six Pokémon and the rest are transported." Misty said.

"Yeah." Brock said. "You can switch one Pokémon for another, by pressing the white button in your Pokédex."

Ash took out his Pokédex and looks at it. "You mean this button?" Ash asked, pointing at the second white button.

"Right." Brock nodded. "It sends a signal to activate the system to make the exchange."

Ash looks up from his Pokédex. "But I don't want to exchange my Pokémon." Ash said.

"Then shut your Pokédex and quit whining." Misty said, looking at Ash.

"It isn't whining." Ash said.

"We just want to know where the two Krabby went." Jovan said.

"You don't have to worry about that." Misty said. "The two Krabby were transported to a place for safekeeping."

"Where did they get transported?" Anna asked.

"Your Pokémon gets transported to wherever you guys get your Pokédex." Brock answered.

Ash looks back at the Pokédex. "Then that means Krabby is with..." Ash said, realizing.

"They're with Professor Oak." Jovan said.

"That's right." Brock said. "The two Krabby just got transported automatically to Professor Oak's Laboratory. So don't worry about it."

"The two Krabby with Professor Oak." Ash said, looking up and putting his right hand on his chin.

Ash hung his head down. "Now I'm really worried." Ash said.

Jovan looks at Brock. "Isn't there anyway to make sure they're ok?" Jovan asked.

Brock turns his head to the right. "We can call Professor Oak to check on them." Brock answered. "We haven't passed a phone all day. This beach is pretty far out of the way."

"There's got to be a phone around here someplace." Ash said.

"We gotta check on the two Krabby." Jovan said.

Misty closed her eyes. "I'm more worried to camp out again at night." Misty said, opening her eyes.

"I'm sick of sleeping in sleeping bags." Anna said.

"I'm just worried about finding out a way to see if the two poor little Krabby are ok." Ash said.

Standing several feet away from them, Pikachu was jumping.

"Pika." Pikachu said, jumping up and down, pointing at something.

"Tini." Dratini said, turning around to get everyone's attention.

Everyone looks at the two Pokémon.

"Pika?" Ash asked confused, looking at them.

"What's that?" Brock asked.

A couple miles ahead of them was a cliff. There was a house and a big building right next to house on the cliff.

"It's a lighthouse." Misty said.

"A lighthouse!" Jovan exclaimed. "Every lighthouse has to have a keeper, plus they'll have a phone."

Ash snaps his fingers. "I'm gonna use it to call Professor Oak." He said.

"And they'll probably have extra beds." Misty smiled, closing her eyes and bringing her hands together. "No more sleeping bags is going to ruin my beauty sleep."

"Then there'll be somebody there to tell us where we are." Slade said.

"Well?" Jovan asked. "What are we waiting for, let's go!"

Everyone started to run.

"Yeah." Misty smiled.

"Alright." Brock grinned as Jovan bent down so Dratini can get on him.

They ran all afternoon and it nighttime as they all arrived at the lighthouse.

"Whew." Ash said as he caught his breath. "It look farther than it look."

"The lighthouse looks weird." Brock said, looking at the lighthouse.

Everyone stops in front of the door and notice something. There were stoned pictures of several different Pokémon.

"Guess we should ring the doorbell." Anna said.

"I got it." Jovan said, walking up to the door.

There was a small red button on a electronic box and Jovan pressed it. He was expecting a ordinary house ring, but instead there were bells ringing loud. Ash, Brock, Misty and Pikachu huddle extremely close. Jovan puts his right arm to shield July as Anna, Seth and Slade stood behind their friend. Ash, Brock and Misty put their backs against the stoned doors as the ringing dies down.

"Who's there?" A voice asked from the electronic box.

Brock turns his head to the left. "Excuse us sir." Brock said. "We're travelers and we're lost."

"We have a small emergency here." Ash said. "And we need to use your telephone please, sir."

Misty pushes him out of the way. "We've been camping out for quite awhile and sure be appreciated to sleep in a comfy bed." Misty said.

"And I was also wondering if I can use your kitchen to make some bacon double cheese burgers for our group." Brock added. "I'd be more than happy to share some with you."

"Great." The voice said. "Can you cook without using tofu?"

"Oh sure." Brock said. "I can cook lots of food without using tofu."

"Good." The voice said. "I've been eating nothing but tofu since my cook went on vacation. Come on in."

The stone doors slowly open as Brock and Misty took a couple steps back. Everyone steps inside. The room they were all in was huge. There was a long red carpet that led from the entrance to the end of the room at the top of the stairs. The stone doors closed behind them.

"Would you mind if I borrow your phone?" Ash called.

"There's a phone right near you." The voice answered.

"Hm?" Jovan wonder as he turn his head to the left.

There was a video phone sitting right next to a Pokémon phone.

"Hey." Anna said. "It's a video phone."

"I'll call Professor Oak now to see if he has our Pokémon." Ash smiled, walking up to the phone.

"I'm sure the two Krabby are in great shape." Brock said.

"I'm sure the Professor won't mind if I neglect." Ash said as he finished dialing the number.

The video phone turned on. The screen shows Professor Oak cooking his food. He was cooking something in his brown silver pot and there was a white plain square like food on the plate. There was also a white bucket that was half showing on the right side of the screen.

"Uh..." Ash tried to say, hoping that the Professor isn't eating his Pokémon.

"Hello Ash." Professor Oak greeted. "You just caught me making dinner. My cook is on vacation and I have to defend for myself until she returns."

"Wait a minute professor." Ash said in panic. "You're not eating Jovan and my Krabby are you?!"

"Don't worry Ash." Professor Oak said. "I'm taking good care of Jovan's and your Krabby. They're right here."

Professor Oak scoots over to the right to show him. Ash's Krabby was in a fish bowl with a small amount water with Ash's picture on it, right next to Jovan's.

"Those two Krabby that you caught is too small to make a hardy meal." The professor said, picking up his tofu with a pair of chopsticks. "On the other hand, the two Krabby that Gary and Mile caught would make an excellent dinner, better than tofu."

Professor Oak began to blow his tofu.

This caught Ash and Jovan's attention.

"What?" Ash asked.

"Are you saying that Gary and Mile caught a Krabby too?" Jovan asked.

Professor Oak swallowed his food before answering. "Yes." He said. "It's quite a catch. See for yourself."

Professor Oak adjusted the screen to the left. What Ash and Jovan saw made them gasp. There were two huge Krabby in two huge bowls sitting next to their Krabby.

"Ggrr." Ash growled frustrated.

"Amazing." Seth said.

"I want you to know that my grandson Gary and his friend, Mile, already caught forty five Pokémon." Professor Oak said.

"Forty Five Pokémon?!" Ash gasps.

"Are you serious?" Jovan asked, his right eye twitching.

"Pikachu." Pikachu said.

Professor Oak swallowed his food.

"By the way Ash." Professor Oak said. "Just where are you calling me from anyway?"

"We're at a old lighthouse, way on top of the cliff." Ash answered.

"Oh." Professor Oak smiled. "That must be Bill's LightHouse. "He's a young Pokémon Researcher who knows even more than me. See what you can learn from him and Wade."

Everyone was confused.

"Who's Wade?" Jovan asked.

"I've heard about him." Seth said.

July turns around, looking at Seth. "You've heard about him?" July asked.

"Yeah." Seth nodded. "Wade is a researcher who researches animals in Nevada, but he mysteriously disappeared twenty years ago."

"I see that dinner is almost ready." A voice said.

A man sat down next to Professor Oak. The man was wearing a white lab coat with a green shirt underneath the white lab coat and was wearing brown khaki pants. He had short gray hair and brown eyes.

"Professor Ivo?" Jovan asked confused.

Professor Ivo is a famous animal professor. Ivo disappeared at the age of nine years old and appeared at the age of seventeen years old. After high school, Ivo went to college to become a professor who studied animals. Professor Ivo lives and work in his research lab. Ivo met Jovan when Jovan was only six years old at the research lab.

"Hello Jovan." Professor Ivo smiled.

"Hi Professor Ivo." Jovan said.

"How is your sister and your friends?" Professor Ivo asked.

"Hi Professor." July said, standing besides Jovan and Ash. "Anna, Seth and Slade are with us too."

"That's great." Professor Ivo said.

"Bill and Wade could teach you just about everything about Pokémon, and then some." Professor Oak said.

"This is Bill, Professor Oak. Good to hear from you." Bill's voice echoed.

"What a surprise to see you hear, Professor Ivo." A new voice said.

"Hello, Bill and Wade." Professor Oak greeted. "Please give my friends a crash course in Pokémon."

Professor Oak look down a pot and notices the tofu is done.

"Tofu's done." Professor Oak said, picking the tofu up and the screen went dark.

"Well there's no way to ignore the request of the great Professor Oak and Professor Ivo." Bill's voice echoed.

The lights suddenly turned on.

"I am Bill, of the LightHouse." Bill's voice said.

Everyone turn their head to the right and at the top of the staircase was a big Pokémon with a huge brown shell covering its body. There are two medium eyes facing upwards on the outside of its shell, which it uses for sight when it hides on the ocean floor. The structure of its body is almost entirely unknown, except its four short, yellow legs and luminescent red eyes on its underside.

Everyone ran a couple of feet and stopped.

"Ah!" They all gasps, looking at the giant Pokémon.

Team Rocket was on the cliff, that was two miles from the lighthouse while looking through their binoculars.

"According to the phonebook," Jessie said, "That lighthouse belongs to Bill, the famous Pokémon Researcher."

James pulled away from his binoculars. "And I guess we've come to the right place, huh?" James asked, turning his to right to look at Jessie.

"There must be zillions of rare Pokémon stored in that lighthouse." Jessie said, looking at James on her left.

"Then there's one thing left to do." Meowth said, looking at Jessie and James.

Sam, Libby and Justin walks up behind them.

"Right." Sam said. "We sneak in and take everything we grab."

Jessie looks through her binoculars. "How shall we sneak in?" Jessie wondered.

"We could take the road." Libby said.

"Or we can risk our lives by climbing the cliff." Jessie said.

"We can't certainly take the road." James said, looking at Jessie.

"We have to climb up those cliffs." Jessie said.

Meowth jumps on top of Jessie's head.

"Cause we're the bad guys." Meowth said. "And the bad guys always sneak in."

"It's time to rain on somebody's parade again." Jessie said. "James?"

"Jessie?" James asked.

Jessie and James put their backs against each other with arms crossed and eyes closed.

"We're back to back so prepare for trouble." They both said. "Watch your step or we'll make it double."

"To protect the world from devestation."

"To unite all people within our nation."

"To denounce the evil of truth and love."

"To extend our reach to the stars above."

"Jessie."

"James."

"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light."

"Surrender now or prepare to fight."

"Meowth dat's right!" Meowth cheered, landing on top of their heads.

"To be truly great criminals." Jessie said. "We must take thins the hard way."

"Then we'll be harden criminals." Sam said.

"It'll be tough to reach the top." Jessie said, pointing at the cliffs.

Jessie and James hugged each other.

"Because we're afraid of heights!" The two of them whined.

Back inside the lighthouse, they were all surprised to see the giant Pokémon. Ash took a step forward.

"It can't be." Brock said. "That's a Kabuto, an extinct Pokémon. I wonder what's it doing here."

"No, I'm not a Kabuto." The Kabuto said. "I'm Bill, the Pokémon Researcher."

"Wait." Ash said."Are you a human being or a Pokémon?"

"This is a costume." The Kabuto said. "I'm stuck inside it."

"Do you need help getting out of it?" Ash asked.

"Yes." The Kabuto said. "Step up here."

"Tell me what to do." Ash said as he ran up the stairs.

"Push that button." The Kabuto said.

Ash knelt down and found a small gray button near the right side between the Kabuto's short arms.

"This one here?" Ash asked, pointing at it.

"Yes." The Kabuto said. "These arms are too short. I tried to get out, but I couldn't reach the button."

Ash pressed the button and the button began to flicker as Ash took a few steps back. Several rays of light shines from the huge Kabuto and the short yellow arms fell on the floor along with the face as the shell fell on the floor as well, revealing a person.

"Thanks for helping me to get out." Bill said. "I've been stuck in that costumes for hours."

Bill was wearing a long brown coat and long brown pants with a light blue shirt underneath the brown coat with a yellow mascot and was wearing black shoes. His hair was green and his eye are black.

"You've come from a costume party?" Misty asked as Brock, Jovan, July, Anna, Seth and Slade walks up to them.

"No." Bill answered. "It's not from a party. It's a special costume that I used in my research."

Jovan turns around and see's the floor opening up.

"What's that?" Jovan asked.

They all turned around to see what jovan was talking about. Emerging from the floor was a giant creature. It had a massive head that was balanced by a large, heavy tail. It has large and powerful limbs with two claw digits.

"A Tyrannosaurus Rex?!" Jovan muttered.

July hid behind Jovan as Anna and Slade stood besides Jovan as Slade stood behind Anna.

"Nobody. Move. A. Muscle." Jovan said slowly, being completely still.

"RROOAR!" The T-Rex roared.

"AAAHH!" July screamed.

"Sorry about that." The T-Rex said.

Jovan, July, Anna, Seth and Slade looked confused. A talking T-Rex apologizing?

"Wade." Bill called out. "Is this the research project that you've been working on?"

"That's right." The T-Rex said. "The T-Rex robot was completed five minutes ago. But I was wondering if somebody can help me to get out of this robot."

"I'll help." Jovan voulerntered.

The T-Rex lowered its head and Jovan got on. The skin felt so real like a real T Rex.

"There should be a small gray button on top of the head" The T-Rex said.

Jovan notices a small gray button and pushes it. He quickly got off as he went back to July's side. Steam came out of the T-Rex's body and the head opens up to reveal a teenager. The teenager was wearing a white blue shirt, khaki pants and a pair of brown boots. The color of his hair was red and his eyes were green.

"This is a pretty impressive project, Wade." Bill said.

Wade is a researcher that researches on animals. After college, Wade went to Nevada to meet his research team that was planning to visit the places where people "Claim" to have seen a mermaid.

"Thanks, Bill." Wade smiled. "I've see that we have some guests."

"They're all acquaintances of Professor Oak and Professor Ivo." Bill explains.

"I see." Wade said, walking up to Bill's right side.

"Getting inside its skin helps me getting inside its head." Bill said.

"What do you mean?" Jovan asked.

Bill turns his head to the right to look at the stoned pictures of the extinct Pokémon as they all turn to Bill's direction.

"There are many kinds of extinct Pokémon." Bill explains. "I want to understand how they live. A costume is one thing to figure out what they were like."

Ash looks back Bill. "You can understand what a Pokémon was like by putting on a costume?" Ash asked.

"Yes indeed." Bill answered. "Or I'm beginning to."

Bill walks past them and sat down on the top step. "This planet was created 4.6 billion years ago. During that time, all kinds of Pokémon existed. They all had ways of living."

"All kinds of Pokémon?" Ash repeated. "How many?"

"There are more than 150 known species of Pokémon on this planet." Bill answered.

"Over 150?" Ash wondered.

A giant screen appeared behind them as everyone except Bill looks at the screen.

"All of you are lucky to be Pokémon Trainers." Bill said, turning his head to look at them. "Your goal is to catch all of these different kinds of Pokémon. That's a great task."

"Yeah." Ash said, looking down. "So far I only caught seven."

It's the truth. Ash has only caught seven Pokémon so far.

"That's a lot of them, that's for sure." Jovan said.

"But of course." Bill said, standing up and putting his arms behind his back. "It's not just the Pokémon we know about, there are still many Pokémon that has been never been discovered. We need to keep searching."

"How many could they be?" Jovan asked, turning his head to the right to look at Bill.

"No one knows exactly." Bill answered. "The search goes on. There's something new to look forward with our lives." Bill turn his head away.

"Something to look for?" Ash repeated.

"Yes." Wade said. "There's always to look for, inside and outside ourselves."

"There is a meaning for every creature." Bill said, walking down the steps with his arms spread wide. "There is a meaning for every Pokémon and a meaning for all us humans as well."

"A meaning for all." Jovan muttered, looking at the screen.

Outside climbing the face of the cliff, Jessie, James, Meowth, Libby, Sam and Justin began climbing the cliff.

"Sometimes I wonder what's the meaning of all of this." Libby said."Why go all to this trouble just to be bad?"

"So we can get other people's Pokémon." James grunted.

"All for it if there's something in it for Meowth." Meowth said.

Back inside, they were all standing behind Bill and Wade.

"Keep looking for new Pokémon to catch." Bill said. "It's something very important for Pokémon Research. It is very vital to me as to you."

Bill and Wade turns around to look at them.

"Right now there's only one Pokémon that Bill is looking for." Wade said.

"What kind of Pokémon?" Ash asked.

Everyone made their way to the top of the lighthouse. Bill puts his hands on the rail.

"It is probably the biggest Pokémon." Bill said. "Bigger than all the rest. No one has ever seen it."

"This Pokémon has been wandering the world for years now." Wade added.

"Looking for friends." Bill said.

"But doesn't that Pokémon has friends or family?" Misty asked.

"The Pokémon wanders because it's alone." Bill answered. "It is the only Pokémon of its species, one of a kind."

"Hey Jovan." Anna said, turning her head to the left to look at Jovan.

"What is it?" Jovan asked, looking her.

"This reminds us about Doc, The Lone Dinosaur, from The Land Before Time series." Anna said.

"You're right." Jovan said.

"What's "The Land Before Time" Series?" Brock asked.

"Nothing." Anna lied.

Misty can tell that Anna is lying.

"One night, Bill and I heard a very strange sound coming from the ocean." Wade explains.

Bill took out a small blue device and pushed a button. It sounds like a calm voice.

""I want to be your friend."" Bill translate. ""I want to meet you." That's what it said to me."

"Pika." Pikachu said.

"Sometime ago I recorded a similar sound from the lighthouse to the ocean." Bill said. ""Let's be friends. I want to meet you."" One day, I heard the same voice calling back to me from the ocean. "I want to meet you too. I want to be friends with you too." It was answering me back. Some foggy night, that Pokémon might come here tonight to meet a friend it has been searching for a very long time. I would be so happy to meet that Pokémon."

"But will you try to capture Pokémon?" Ash asked, taking a step forward.

Bill turns around to look at him. "Why do I need to capture it?" Bill asked. "Meeting it would be enough for me, even studying it would be a worthwhile."

"Even the mermaid as well." Wade said.

July turns around to look at him. "A mermaid?" July asked with a confused look on her face.

"That's correct." Wade answered. "My team and I were coming back from overseas after discovering new evidence of a mermaid. On the way back, the jet's engines were struck by lightning and the jet landed in the ocean. I got hit in the back of the head, making me go unconscious."

"But how did you survive?" Anna asked.

"The next thing I know, I was lying on the beach at sunset." Wade said. "I got up and look at the ocean. In the ocean, I saw a girl in the ocean staring right at me. She dove back in the water as I watch her leave. Then I notice she had a tail fin. That's when I realized I was saved by a REAL live mermaid."

"GRROAR!"

Everyone turns around and look back at the ocean. A huge shadowy figure has appeared, walking in the ocean towards the lighthouse.

"It's here!" Bill exclaimed. "The signal!" Bill wasted no time and pressed the small red button. The lighthouse began to change from yellow, red, blue, and green before going back to yellow.

"Grroar..." The shadowy figure sang.

"It sounds like its singing." Misty said with hands clasp together.

Brock turns around to look at Misty. "Care to dance with me?" Brock asked, bowing to her.

"Thank you." Misty thanked him, bowing back to him.

"Pikachu." Pikachu said, moving sideways.

"Tini." Dratini said.

Jessie, James, Meowth, Sam, Libby and Justin stops climbing, listening to the song.

"What beautiful music." Jessie said.

"It's so soothing." James said, relaxing.

Meowth turns around and gasps. "That's because it's coming from that thing!" Meowth shouted, getting his team's attention.

They all turn their heads around and notice the shadowy huge figure walking towards them.

"That's a big Pokémon." Libby said.

"So size does matter." James said.

"Some things are unusual." Jessie smirked. "You know what that means. Let's grab it for ourselves!"

"Right right." James said, taking out a rocket launcher. "I'll attack it at once." James looks back at Jessie. "It's a shame to aim at a poor creature."

"Of course it's a shame." Libby said. "We've built our shame on fame."

"Go on, fire!" Meowth shouted. "It's all the same to me!"

James fired the rocket and the rocket made contact with the shadowy huge figure.

"Ggroaarr!" The huge shadowy figure shouted angrily.

The huge shadowy figure use its claws to destroy the top of the lighthouse. Ash pushed Bill out of the way to avoid being crushed by the debris. Jovan, Dratini, July, Anna, Seth, Slade and Wade ran ahead of Pikachu, Misty and Brock.

Anna turns around and notice a debris that was going to hit her.

"Sandslew, come on out!" Seth shouted, throwing a Pokéball in the air and Sandshrew appeared.

"Sandslew, use Strength!" Seth ordered.

Sandslew use both of his claws to catch the falling debris.

"Thanks Sandslew." Anna thanked him.

Jovan looked over his left shoulder. "When did you get a Sandshrew, Seth?!" Jovan shouted.

"Caught it this afternoon!" Seth yelled.

Everyone quickly got out of the lighthouse. Ash, Bill, Jovan and Wade ran up to the shadowy figure.

"Please don't go Pokémon!" Bill pleaded. "Please stay with us! I've waited so long for a chance to meet you here!"

The shadowy figure shooked its head.

"Pokémon." Bill said.

Sam, Libby and Justin were hanging on to the rope while Jessie and James kept firing as Meowth watches.

"Do we have to mess up everyone's plan?!" James growled. "Even I think this is rotten!" James fired again.

"Quit complaining!" Jessie shouted. "We can score big with this Pokémon!" Jessie fired again.

The shadowy figure swung its tail into the water and sends Team Rocket flying into the air.

"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket yelled as they disappeared in the fog.

Pikachu, July, Seth, Anna and Slade ran up besides Ash, Jovan, Bill and Wade.

"Pokémon." Bill said

The shadowy figure turns around and walks away. Everyone watches as the shadowy figure was far away, disappearing within the fog. Everyone stares at the ocean from where the shadowy figure appeared. Jovan notices something in the ocean.

"I think I see something, you guys." Jovan said.

Bill turns to his left to look at Jovan. "Is it the Pokémon again?" Bill asked.

"No." Jovan said.

"Then what do you see?" Wade asked.

"A woman's head, I think." Jovan said.

He was right. In the ocean was a woman's head, not far where the shadowy figure was. Wade notices the woman's head and smiled.

"She's here." Wade smiled.

"Who's here?" Slade asked.

"The Mermaid." Wade answered.

Everyone notices the woman's head. The woman turned her head around and dove back underneath the water, with her tail splashing the water before disappearing.

"I don't believe it." July gasps.

Jovan ran to the cliff's edge and stop. "Was that a real mermaid?" Jovan thought. How can be a mermaid be real? Weren't mermaids just a fairytail?

After getting a good night sleep, Wade was standing near the cliff with his arms across his chest as Bill was standing next to him. Ash and the others were standing right behind them.

"What kind of Pokémon was it?" Ash wondered.

"Who knows." Bill answered. "Pokémon lives in more places than people can ever learn."

At the beach, Team Rocket woke up as they got up.

"What in the world was that?"James asked.

"One of the rarest Pokémon around." Jessie growled.

Libby turns her head to the left to look at Jessie. "But that Pokémon was a lot more bigger than an average size Pokémon." Libby said.

"That's exactly what we're all trying to capture." Jessie said.

"We may miss our chance and we can still dream." James said.

"When our's Pokémon dream come true, it will be somebody's nightmare." Jessie smiled evily.

"After all, tomorrow is another day!" Meowth cheered.

"I think looking and catching Pokémon can make all of us come together." Ash said.

"Raising Pokémon is another way to understand them as well." Brock added.

"Pokémon are always lots of fun to play with." Misty smiled.

"Meanwhile, Wade and I will watch for the giant Pokémon and mermaid to appear again at my lighthouse." Bill said.

"Jovan, check it out." Slade smiled.

Jovan looks up and grinned. It was a cloud in a shape of the same Pokémon that they saw last night and another cloud that was in a shape of a mermaid.

"Bill, do you think we'll ever find all the Pokémon there are?" Ash asked.

"No Ash." Bill said, putting his arms behind his back. "There are probably more that we can imagine, maybe even many more. Maybe there's no limit to the Pokémon we can truly find on this planet."

Bill looks over his right shoulder. "Ash, you're a Pokémon Trainer. I'm a researcher seeking all life on this planet. Even if our paths are different, our goals are the same."

"Hm hm." Ash nodded.

Overtime, we uncover new information about the mysterious ways of the Pokémon. The more knowledge we gain, we realize how little we know. The journey continues in the incredible world of Pokémon.

After getting my laptop fix, this chapter is now finally complete! Yay! I had a tough time writing this chapter for a long time because my laptop was acting up, but I got it fixed. Now I've been doing a lot of thinking for the past few months. I've notice that I'm a few chapters away to Chapter 18 since episode 18 is the first "Banned" Episode. I'm going to figure out if I should skip it or not.

So I hope you all enjoy this chapter. I encourage all Pokémon fanatics to review.
