Electric Shock Showdown
Ash, Brock, Misty, Pikachu, Jovan, Dratini, July, Seth, Anna and Slade smiled of where are.
After two weeks of being lost, our heroes finally reach Vermillion City. Congratulations, you've finally made it.
Everyone drop their bags and put their hands in the air.
"Hip hip hooray!" They all cheered. "Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray!"
"I can't wait to take a bubble bath." Misty smiled, clasping her hands together.
"And we have to hit the laundry mat." Brock added.
Jovan looks at himself and Brock was right. All of their clothes were dirty and they all smell bad.
"I'm going to find the Vermillion City Gym right now." Ash said.
As Ash started to run, Brock quickly grab Ash by the collar.
"Hold it!" Brock shouted, stopping Ash.
"Huh?" Ash asked confused as he turns around.
Brock simply pointed at the ground. Ash looks down at the ground and notices Pikachu laying down on his stomach with his tongue sticking out.
"Ka..." Pikachu moaned, his stomach growling.
Ash bent down and picks up Pikachu in his arms.
"Pikachu." Ash said with a worried look on his face.
"He must be hungry." Misty said, looking at Pikachu.
"We haven't eat anything decent for the last three days." Brock said.
"Hey Pikachu." Ash said, looking at Pikachu. "Are you feeling hungry, little buddy?"
But Ash's own stomach answered for Pikachu.
"Ha ha." Ash chuckled nervously. "I guess we're all a little hungry. Right Pikachu?"
"Pika..." Pikachu moaned, nodding his head slowly.
Jovan bent down and picked up Dratini.
"You're hungry too, right Dratini?" Jovan asked, looking at Dratini.
"Tini..." Dratini muttered, nodding her head slowly.
Jovan felt sorry for Dratini. He rubs his right hand gently on Dratini. There were some berries in the forest that they were in, but Jovan thought they were poison for humans to eat.
"Let's head to the Pokémon Center." Jovan said, looking at everyone.
"Great idea."Anna nodded.
It took them half an hour to find the Pokémon Center as they all went inside. Ash places Pikachu on the counter with his Pokéballs as Jovan, Anna, July, and Seth places their Pokéballs on the counter.
"I think they're hungry." Ash said to Nurse Joy.
"We'll fix up Pikachu and Dratini." Nurse Joy said.
Dratini hops on her lap as she places Pikachu in front of a computer. Nurse Joy notices that everyone was staring at her.
"I know why you're surprise." Nurse Joy smiled. "I look like all the other nurses. My first cousin works in Pewter City and my second cousin works in Viridian City. I think I'm the prettiest one, don't you think?"
"Yeah." Brock answered with a smile on his face.
"They're all the same, don't you think?" July and Anna thought, looking at Brock with a annoyed look on their faces.
The glass sliding doors open up and everyone turns around. A young boy with blue hair came running in with Chansey, who was pushing a stretcher.
"Hurry!" The youngster pleaded, worried."You'll be ok, Rattata!"
They all see a Rattata laying on the stretcher unconscious. The youngster didn't even notice them as they rushed to the ER.
"That Rattata is in bad shape." Brock wondered. "I wonder what happen to it."
"Oh." Nurse Joy said with a disappointed look on her face. She stood up from her chair and places her hands on her hips. "It's the fifteenth one brought in this month."
"What?" Ash asked, looking confused at Nurse Joy.
"This is terrible." Brock said.
Everyone was inside the ER and couldn't believe what they saw. There were four beds with different Pokémon with their trainers sitting by their side.
"They all lost to Lt. Surge and of the Vermillion City Gym." Nurse Joy explains.
"Whoa." Ash said. "He must be a great trainer."
Misty turns to left to look at Ash as she placed her hands on hips.
"So Ash." Misty smirked. "You scared already?"
"No way." Ash said, looking back at her.
Misty looks away from him with her eyes close. "Well you talk big." Misty said. "But when you see how tough it is to get a badge, you turn chicken. Maybe you should just quit now." Misty looks back him with her eyes open. "Besides, the badges you do have are out of pity."
"A badge is a badge." Ash growled.
Misty places her right hand in front of his face and flick his nose.
"Ow!" Ash grunted, placing his right hand over his nose.
"Why don't you just prove how tough you are at the Vermillion City Gym?" Misty smirked.
Slade looks back at the injured Pokémon. "From the looks of things, all of you have to be tough to beat this Lt. Surge." Slade said.
"You think he's that tough?" Ash asked worried.
"Misty and Brock gave us Badges." Anna said, turning her to the left. "Imagine how they will look when we lost."
"You have nothing to worry about." Ash said. "Except seeing my own incredible strength."
Ash was about to do the same thing to Misty but Nurse Joy stop him.
"All right that's enough." Nurse Joy said.
"She started it." Ash said, looking at Nurse Joy.
"Remember this is a hospital." Nurse Joy reminded Ash and Misty.
Ash and Misty notice they were receiving odd looks from the other trainers.
"They say if two people fight, they really care about each other." Nurse Joy said.
"Me, care about him/her?" Ash and Misty asked, shocked as they both look at each other. Ash and Misty look away and cross their arms over their chest.
"Hm hm." Nurse Joy chuckled.
The music went off for a few seconds and stop.
"That signal means your Pokémon are all set and ready." Nurse Joy said.
Pikachu and Dratini was sitting down on blue bench right next to the Pokéballs, happily eating a juicy, red apple.
"Mmm." Pikachu finished the juicy red apple with a big smile.
Dratini finished her apple and smiled. The two Pokémon were glad that they get to eat something.
"Pikachu!" Ash called.
"Dratini!" Jovan called.
"Pika." Pikachu smiled.
"Tini." Dratini greeted them.
Ash, Misty, Brock, Jovan, July, Anna, Seth and Slade walks up to them.
"I hope you two are full." Ash said. "Because we have to win big at that Gym."
"Let's win that Badge." Jovan smiled, making a fist.
Everyone notices another trainer rushing past them with a Chansey, pushing an injured Pidgey.
"Please hang on, Pidgey!" The trainer pleaded.
"I guess that they must've come from that Gym." Misty said.
"Pi!" Pikachu squealed.
They all look at Pikachu.
"Pika Pi Pikachu." Pikachu shook his head.
Ash puts his hands on his hips. "What?" Ash asked angrily. "Don't be a coward."
"Pika Pi Pikachu." Pikachu said.
"Huh?" Ash asked confused. "Don't I even care if you end up like that Pidgey? Is that it?"
"Pika Pika." Pikachu nodded.
"Yeah." Ash sighed as he put his head down. "Guess you're right."
"Pika." Pikachu sighed with a relief.
"No problem." Ash smiled. Ash walks over and grabs Pikachu's paw and started to walk, but Pikachu grabs the edge of the seat.
"You won't have to end up that way because you'll win." Ash smiled.
"Cha." Pikachu grunted, still hanging.
"Don't be a scaredy cat, Pikachu." Ash growled, looking over his left shoulder.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu shouted, shocking Ash.
"AHHH!" Ash yelled as his body was getting zapped.
"The way they fight must mean they care alot." Misty said.
"Hey Jovan." July said.
Jovan turns his head to the right and looks at his sister. "What is it, July?" Jovan asked.
"Anna and I going into the forest to see if we can find more Pokémon." July said.
"She's right Jovan." Anna said. "Your sister and I only have two Pokémon."
"Alright." Jovan nodded.
"See you guys later." July said as the two girls left.
"We should get going to the Gym as well." Brock said.
"Jovan and I are going to wait for the girls." Seth said to Brock.
"We'll be back soon." Misty said.
After leaving the Pokémon Center, Ash, Brock, Misty and Pikachu found the Vermillion City Gym. The front building had two lightning bolts across one another and four lightning bolts on the roof of the second building.
"So this is the Vermillion City Gym." Ash said, looking at the Gym.
"It's not too late to back out." Misty smirked.
Ash looks over his left shoulder. "Why would I back out if I know I'm going to win?" Ash growled. "Just stick around and watch me."
"I'll stick around to see your face get creamed." Misty said.
Ash turns around to look at her. "If you think I'm going to creamed, you're going to be disappointed."
"Are we ever going to go inside?" Brock asked.
The doors opened up and they all went inside. There was a man and a woman standing in the room. The man was wearing a black leather spiked jacket, an army pants and black boots along with black fingerless gloves. He had short black hair and black eyes.
The woman next him was wearing a dark red tank top, an army pants, black boots, a necklace around her neck and a white and green stripe headband. Her red hair is long and she has blue eyes.
"Hello." Ash greeted them. "I've come for a Pokémon Battle to earn a Thunder Badge."
The man looked over his right shoulder. "Hey boss." The man called. "Another victim for the emergency room."
"Which one?" A voice from the shadows asked.
Another man steps out of the shadows and passes the other two. But this man is huge. The tall man was wearing black shoes, long brown pants, a brown jacket that Ash, Misty, Brock and Pikachu notices his abs, a necklace and collared spike fingerless gloves. He had short spiky yellow hair and black eyes.
"Whoa." Brock gasps. "He's huge."
"He's the Gym Leader you have to beat?" Misty asked.
"Welcome to Vermillion Gym." Lt. Surge said, bending down to hug Misty. He let go of Misty. "And my next challenger is a cutie. Don't think I'll go easy on you."
"Excuse me." Misty interrupted. "I'm not the challenger."
"Then who?" Lt. Surge asked.
"Me." Ash said. "That's who."
Misty and Lt. Surge looks at Ash. Lt. Surge looks at him.
"Oh, you." Lt. Surge said. "Ok, baby."
Lt. Surge puts his hand on top of Ash's head and rubs him like he was a little kid.
"I'm no baby." Ash growled, pushing the Gym Leader's hand away. "My name is Ash Ketchum."
"Heh." Lt. Surge snickered. "I call everybody baby who loses to me. Hm?" Lt. Surge notices Pikachu behind Ash's leg, looking up confused.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked nervously.
"Heh." Lt. Surge chuckled. "A Pikachu." Lt. Surge turns to looks at the man and the woman. "Look at this. Baby brought a Baby Pokémon."
"Haha!" All three of them laughed.
"Quit it." Ash said angrily. "Why are you making fun of my Pikachu?"
"Pika." Pikachu growled.
Lt. Surge turns around and looks at them. "Oh, I'll show you why." Lt. Surge said, taking out a Pokéball. "Go Pokéball!"
Lt. Surge threw the Pokéball onto the floor and a Pokémon is covered in dark orange fur with a cream belly. Its arms and feet have patches of brown fur at the end, and the soles of its big feet are tan with a circular orange pad. Its bifurcated ears are brown on the outside and yellow on the insides and ends in a distinctive curl. The electric sacs on its cheeks are yellow. It has two horizontal brown stripes on its back. Its long, thin tail has a lightning bolt-shaped end.
"Rai." Raichu growled, looking down at Pikachu.
"It's a Raichu!" Ash gasps, taking out his Pokédex.
"Raichu, a mouse Pokémon of the electric element. Raichu is the evolved of Pikachu. It can shock more than 1,000 volts, enough to render a Dragonite unconscious."
"Cha." Pikachu growled.
"Ok, baby." Lt. Surge said. "If you want to quit, now's your chance."
"Raichu." Raichu said.
Ash looks back at him. "No way we're going to quit now." Ash growled.
"Heh. What good a baby like that do?" Lt. Surge snickered, kneeling down next to his Raichu. "If you want to become a Pokémon Master, you should make it evolved as soon as you catch it."
Ash knelt down behind Pikachu. "There's more than forcing a Pokémon to evolve." Ash said, placing his hand on Pikachu's head. "And I like this Pikachu just the way it is."
"Wrong, baby." Lt. Surge said, waging his finger. "Electric Pokémon are only useful once they learn all their electrical attacks. If you keep it like that,it's no more than a little pet."
"Cha." Pikachu growled angrily.
"Can Pikachu beat Raichu?" Misty asks Brock.
"I seriously doubt it." BroBrock answered. "Raichu knows all the electrical attacks."
"Ok, baby." Lt. Surge smirked, standing up and crossing his arms across his chest. "Did diddydums just come in to show us your pet?"
"We came here to earn a Thunder Badge." Ash said, standing up.
"Pika Pika." Pikachu growled.
"Pikachu?" Ash asked confused, looking at Pikachu.
"Pi Chu." Pikachu growled. Pikachu's red cheeks were giving off a little electricity.
"That's unusual." Brock said. "Pikachu really wants to go into battle."
"I'm not surprised." Misty said.
"Pikachu, I'm counting on you." Ash said.
Pikachu turns his head around and nodded before looking back at Raichu.
"Oh well." Lt. Surge said. "I guess you can learn playing with the big boys can be a shocking experience."
The entire room lit up. Ash stood on right side of the battlefield and Lt. Surge stood on the left.
"The Pokémon battle will now begin. Only one Pokémon can be used. The Gym Leader, Lt. Surge, has chosen Raichu. The challenger, Ash, has chosen Pikachu. There will be no time limit. Let the battle begin."
"Go Raichu!" Lt. Surge shouted.
Raichu ran onto the battlefield.
"Go Pikachu!" Ash ordered.
Pikachu ran onto the battlefield.
"Pikachu, ThunderShock!" Ash ordered.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu shouted, releasing a ThunderShock at Raichu.
The attack hits Raichu, but Raichu kept flying to Pikachu.
"Pika?!" Pikachu gasps.
"What's that?!" Ash gasps.
"Raichu, give them a real ThunderShock." Lt. Surge commanded.
Raichu's body glows yellow and releases a yellow lightning bolt from his body at Pikachu.
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted in pain.
"Ah!" Ash, Misty and Brock gasps.
Pikachu landed on the floor, out cold as Raichu landed several feet away.
"Raichu." Raichu smirked.
"It's over, Baby." Lt. Surge said. "You didn't really think your Pikachu can beat my Raichu, did you? Heh heh."
"Pikachu." Ash said.
"Call it back, Ash." Brock said.
Ash looks over his left shoulder. "But-!"
"Raichu's shocks are too powerful." Brock said. "This is a mismatch."
Brock was right. Ash has no other choice. He looks back at Pikachu. "Pikachu, return!" Ash ordered.
Pikachu got up from the floor. He looks at Ash and shook his head.
"Pikachu?" Ash asked confused.
"Pikachu still wants to fight?" Misty asked.
Pikachu turns around and looks at Raichu.
"Pika Pi Pikachu." Pikachu growled.
"Heh heh." Lt. Surge smirked. "It's pretty gutsy for a toy."
Pikachu flung his body at Raichu. "Pika!" Pikachu yelled.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted.
"I enjoy playing with toys." Lt. Surge said. "But playtime's over. Raichu, Thunder Punch!"
Raichu punches Pikachu with his left paw, catching Pikachu off guard.
"Now a Mega Kick!" Lt. Surge commanded.
Raichu kicks Pikachu with great power, sending Pikachu flying to the ground.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted.
As no one was looking, Jessie, James, Libby and Sam looks through the glass outside of the gym.
"Heh heh." Jessie chuckled. "Pikachu is really getting pounded."
"Raichu really must be strong." James said.
"Hey, I just thought of something." Jessie said, turning her head to the right to look at James and Sam. "If Pikachu loses this battle..."
"You're right." James said, realizing what Jessie is saying. "Then it's not worth stealing after all. We all wasted our time."
"Just steal Raichu then." Justin said, who was sitting down on a crate with Meowth between them. Justin was helping out Meowth rubbing a gold coin.
Libby and Sam punches them in the head and looks back at the window.
"Come on, Pikachu." Jessie growled. "Can't you zap it like you always do?"
"You have to win." Libby said.
"Surge is getting ready to finish it off." James said.
Jessie and Libby gasps.
Sam grunted in frustration, making a fist.
"Now give us the big finale, Raichu!" Lt. Surge ordered.
"Raiichu!" Raichu shouted, releasing a lightning bolt at Pikachu.
"CHHA!" Pikachu screamed in pain.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted.
Back at the Pokémon Center, Jovan, Seth and Slade watches Dratini, Rattata and Growlithe playing tag. Seth notices the same poster on the wall across the room before, but it was a little different.
"Hey guys." Seth said, getting Jovan and Slade's attention. "Check it out."
Seth, Jovan and Slade walks up to the poster.
""Pokkén Regional Championships"?" Seth asked confused.
"Let's read what it says." Jovan said.
"Ok." Slade said, before reading it. "To compete in the Regional Championships, you need to beat Gym Trainers from different towns to get their badges as proof. Trainers who can transformed into Pokémon can compete as well. Trainers who can transformed into Pokémon can battle each other with the Pokémon they caught as two support teams. This will be called Pokkén."
"This should be interesting." Jovan smiled.
"I'll go buy us some lunch." Slade said.
"I wonder how Anna and July is doing." Seth wondered.
Anna and July was walking in the forest, but making sure not walk too far from the city.
"Do you think Ash can beat this Surge?" July asked.
Anna shrugs her shoulders. "Who know." Anna said.
The two girls heard two voices.
"Chan!"
"Lee!"
Anna and July look at each other.
"Was that a Pokémon's voice?" "July asked.
"Looks like it." Anna said. "It's coming from behind that bush."
Anna and July walks over to the bush. Once they look what was behind the bush they gasp. It was two Pokémon. The first one is a humanoid Pokémon with an ovoid body. Lacking a distinct neck and head, its upper torso has almond-shaped eyes with black rings around them and appears to lack a nose and mouth. Primarily brown, it has cream-colored, segmented arms and legs, with three fingers and three clawed toes respectively. The soles of its feet and its ankles have circular, yellow markings.
The second one is a tan, humanoid Pokémon that is exclusively male. There are five blunt protrusions on top of its head, and it has extensions resembling pads over its shoulders. It appears to be wearing a light purple tunic and kilt, as well as red boxing gloves and light purple boxing shoes.
"Are they Pokémon?" Anna asked.
"Let's check the Pokédex." July said.
Anna and July took out their Pokédex.
"The Pokémon with no nose and mouth is a Hitmonlee." Anna read.
"And the one with the red boxing gloves and purple shoes is a Hitmonchan." July said.
Hitmonlee jumps into the air and kicks Hitmonchan, but Hitmonchan blocks it with his left arm and punches Hitmonlee with great forces, leaving a white trail of energy. Hitmonlee did a backflip and landed on it's feet.
Before Hitmonchan can attack, he notices Anna and July watching them behind the bush.
"Go, Eevee!" July yelled, throwing a Pokéball onto the ground and Eevee appeared.
"Let's go, Vul!" Anna shouted, throwing Pokéball to the ground and Vul appeared.
Hitmonlee jumps into the air and kicks Eevee but was blocked by Vul's head.
"Ember!" Anna ordered.
Vul opens her mouth and shoot bolts of fire at Hitmonlee.
"Lee!" Hitmonlee grunted.
"Eevee, use Tackle!" July comanded.
Eevee rushes at Hitmonchan and tackles it his stomach.
"Chan!" Hitmonchan grunted.
Hitmonchan tries to punch Eevee and Vul, but the two Pokémon avoided the attack and hits Hitmonlee who just attack with a Mega Kick, knocking them both out.
"Go Pokéball!" July and Anna shouted, throwing the Pokéball at Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee. They both transformed into red energy and went inside the sphere. It shook a few times and stops, indicates that they have been captured.
"Alright!" Anna cheered.
July went over to the two Pokéballs and picks them up. She went back over to Anna and hands her the Pokéball.
"Come on out, Hitmonlee!" Anna said, throwing the Pokéball in the air and Hitmonlee appeared.
"You too, Hitmonchan!" July said, throwing the Pokéball in the air and Hitmonchan appeared.
"I think I'll call you Lee." Anna said to Lee. "How's that?"
"Hitmonlee." Lee said happily.
"And I'll call you Chan." July said to Hitmonchan. "Do you like it?"
"Hitmon." Hitmonchan said happily.
"That's wonderful." July smiled.
Anna looks at July. "Let's head back to the Pokémon Center." Anna said.
"Ok." July said.
It took them only half an hour to get back. July and Anna notices Jovan, Seth and Slade sitting at the table near the window eating lunch.
"Hey." July said, sitting next down to her brother.
"Caught any Pokémon?" Seth asked, who was sitting across Jovan and Slade.
"We caught a Hitmonchan and a Hitmonlee." Anna answered.
"Guess what we've found out." Slade said.
"What?" Anna asked, biting a sandwich.
"We've found that we can battle trainers who can transform into Pokémon."Jovan explains. "And the Pokémon we've caught will be our two support teams."
July raised her eyebrows as she swallowed her food. After swallowing her food, July turns her head to the left to look at Jovan.
"I'm surprised." Anna said.
"There you all are." Nurse Joy said, walking up to them.
"What is it?" Slade asked, turning his head to the left.
"It's Pikachu." Nurse Joy said. "Pikachu is in the ER with Ash, Misty and Brock."
Everyone ran past the nurse quickly and ran into the room and couldn't believe what they saw. Brock and Misty was standing behind Ash, who was sitting down in a chair next to the bed where Pikachu laid. Jovan notices Ash's hat was off. Pikachu's left cheek and his left was covered with bandages and so was his head.
"What happened?" Slade asked.
Brock turns his head to the right to look at them all. "Ash lost the match to Lt. Surge." Brock explains.
"All we can do now is wait." Seth said.
Jovan, July, Anna, Seth and Slade all stood besides Brock.
Fifteen minutes has passed and Pikachu's ears twitch a few times. Pikachu slowly opens his eyes.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked weakly.
"Pikachu." Ash smiled, relieved that Pikachu was awake. "I'm glad you're ok."
"Pika?" Pikachu asked confused. He turns his head to left in frustration.
"Pikachu got hurt pretty badly." Brock said.
"I can see that." Ash said annoyed, looking at Brock over his right shoulder.
"He means Pikachu's spirit." Slade said.
Ash looks back at Pikachu. "What do you mean?" Ash asked.
"Pikachu was overly powered by that Raichu." Brock explains.
"He's right Ash." Misty said.
Ash got up from his chair. "We'll try harder." Ash said. "We'll win if Pikachu tries harder."
Misty looks at Ash. "I think he tried last time." Misty said sadly.
"Hhmm." Ash groaned.
"There is one way you might win." Nurse Joy said.
Everyone turns to see Nurse Joy standing in the doorway with her clipboard close to her chest. "I'm sorry." Nurse Joy apologized. "I overheard your conversation." She walks into the room and Ash looks at her in the face.
"How can we win?" Ash asked.
"A while ago, I happen to found this." Nurse Joy said.
Nurse Joy puts the clipboard under her left arm and in her right hand was a small orange chest. She opens the chest and inside it was a greenish stone with a lightning bolt inside it.
"Wow." Brock said amazed. "That's a Thunder Stone."
"A Thunder Stone?" Ash repeated, looking back at Brock.
"Yes." Brock nodded. "You can use it on Pikachu to evolve into a Raichu."
"I could evolve Pikachu into a Raichu?" Ash asked, looking back at the Thunder Stone.
Pikachu turns his back to look at everyone.
Ash picks up the Thunder Stone. "Then Pikachu might be strong enough to win." Ash said, staring at the stone in his right hand.
"You've got think hard before using the Thunder Stone." Nurse Joy said.
"Huh?" Ash asked confused, looking back up at the nurse.
"If you make Pikachu evolved Ash, you can't change it back." Misty said.
"Pikachu would never be the same." Brock said.
Ash looks back at the Thunder Stone. "If Pikachu becomes a Raichu, I might be able to win that badge." Ash said. "But on the other hand, to make it evolve and make it fight, I would be like Surge."
Ash turns around and looks at Pikachu. "Pikachu, what do you want to do?" Ash asked as he bends down a little, making sure not to drop the Thunder Stone.
"Pika." Pikachu muttered.
"I really want to beat that Surge." Ash said. "But I don't want to force you evolved since you're happy the way you are now."
Pikachu blinks once.
Outside the window, Team Rocket was watching.
"He's letting Pikachu decide." Jessie said.
"If it becomes Raichu, it would be stronger." James said.
"What's it gonna do?" Justin asked.
"Pika." Pikachu grunted, trying to stand up.
"Pikachu." Ash gasps.
"Save your energy." Anna pleaded.
"Pi." Pikachu growled. "Ka!" Pikachu turns around and use his tail to hit Ash's hand, knocking away the stone.
Ash watches the Thunder Stone lands on the bed. He looks back at Pikachu. "Pikachu." Ash said.
"Pika Pika Chu Pikachu." Pikachu said. "Pi Pi Pi Pikachu. Cha Pika Pikachu!"
Meowth started crying after what Pikachu has said.
"It's so brave." Meowth sniffed.
Jessie, James, Sam, Libby and Justin looks at Meowth.
"What did it say?" Justin asked.
"Pikachu won't change." Meowth sniffed. "If its going to Pika Raichu, it wants to do as it is."
The five of them gasps and looks back at the window.
"You mean it's going to battle again as a Pikachu?" Jessie asked, shock of what they just heard.
"It's going to fight in the name of all Pikachu!" Meowth cried, wiping tears from his face.
"That's so beautiful!" James started to cry.
Libby scoots over to Sam.
"Do you think the others have a chance?" Libby asked.
"They'll have to win." Sam answered.
Ash grabs both of Pikachu's paws. "Pikachu, you and I going to beat Lt. Surge and his Raichu." Ash said with a serious look on his face.
"You're both crazy." Misty said.
"You should change your strategy, Ash." Brock said."Maybe use your other Pokémon."
Ash looks over his left shoulder. "It's not hard, but it's not impossible." Ash said angrily. "Pikachu and I will find a way to win."
"Pika Pika Pikachu." Pikachu said seriously as Ash looks back at Pikachu.
"Huh?" Jessie asked confused, looking at Meowth.
"Pikachu will beat Raichu." Meowth translated. "It will defend its honor in Ash's."
"Oh dear." James cried. "That's magnificent."
"Alright." Ash said, standing up. "Are all we charged up?"
"Pi." Pikachu answered. "Pi pika..."
Pikachu fell backwards and his eyes close.
"Huh?" Ash asked confused.
"It hasn't fully covered its stamina." Nurse Joy said as Ash looks over his right shoulder. "You should let it rest here for awhile longer."
Ash looks back at Pikachu. "Pikachu."Ash muttered.
"Are you five going to challenge Surge as well?" Nurse Joy asked, looking at Jovan, July, Anna, Seth and Slade.
""My friends are going to challenge Surge and I'm not." Slade said to Nurse Joy.
"Then you'll need help as well." Nurse Joy said.
Chansey came inside the room, pushing a stretcher with twelve small orange chests. Chansey open the first three, revealing a orange stone with fire inside it, a blue stone with water and a Thunder Stone.
Eevee, Growlithe and Vul jumps onto Pikachu's bed to look at the stones.
Nurse Joy turns around and picks up the orange stone and the blue stone before turning back. "The orange stone in my right hand is a Fire Stone." Nurse Joy explains. "And the blue stone in my left hand is a Water Stone."
"You can use these stone to evolve Growlithe, Eevee and Vul." Brock explains.
"He's right." Jovan thought. "If we use these stones, they'll be a lot stronger. But..." Jovan looks back Pikachu,resting.
"We'll think it over." July said to Nurse Joy before looking back at Jovan.
Chansey gave them all three for each one.
As soon as everyone left the room, Dratini, Eevee and Growlithe looks back at Pikachu.
"Tini Dra Drani." Dratini said. "Dra Dra Tini."
Growlithe and Eevee nodd as the three left the room. Meowth stayed behind and overheard what Dratini said.
""I must become strong enough to find the ones who took my home away?"" Meowth translated confused.
Misty was pick up an orange Mix Laito from a red soda machine as turns to look at Ash, who was sitting on a blue bench. There was a blue soda machine left and a light orange machine on the right hand side of the red soda machine. The three soda machine's were all lined up against the wall. Brock was leaning against the wall with his arms cross over his chest.
"This whole thing has me nervous." Misty said, opening up her drink
"Really?" Ash asked, looking up to her. "Since when did you started to worry about me?"
"Not you." Misty said. "I'm concerned about Pikachu. I hope it'll be ok."
"Hey Ash." Brock said.
Ash turns his head to the left to look at him.
"Yeah?" Ash asked.
"During the fight, Surge said he made his Raichu evolved as soon as he got it, didn't he?" Brock asked.
"Yeah." Ash said.
"Then there is a way." Brock smiled, hatching an idea.
"Huh?" Ash asked confused.
Jovan, July, Anna, Seth and Slade were sitting back their table. Dratini was sitting on top of Jovan's head and Eevee and Growlithe were sitting on the floor with Vul.
"What are you three thinking?" Slade asks Jovan, July and Anna.
"We don't want to force our Pokémon evolve too." Jovan said.
"So you three can't make the decision, can you?" Seth asked.
Jovan, July and Anna got up from the table and knelt down to them.
"We will let you decide if you guys wants to evolve." Jovan said.
Growlithe and Dratini looks at Eevee before looking back at Jovan.
"Lithe." Growlithe nodded.
"Vee." Eevee shook her head.
"Alright then." Jovan smiled.
"What about you, Vul?" Anna asked.
"Vul." Vulpix said, shaking her head.
An hour has passed and Pikachu was all better. Ash and Pikachu walks out of the Pokémon Center and stops.
"Pikachu." Ash said, pointing in the sky. "Our lucky star is shining today!"
"Pi?" Pikachu asked, looking up. "Pika?"
"Where?" Misty asked coming up to Ash's right side, pushing Ash's right arm out of the way to look for the star. "I don't see it. How can you see a star in the middle of the day?"
"I don't mean it actually shining." Ash growled with a annoyed look on his face as he looks at Misty before looking at Pikachu.
"Let's go, Pikachu." Ash said.
"Pika." Pikachu nodded.
Brock steps outside with Jovan, July, Anna, Seth, Slade and Dratini.
"Seems like they're ready to win." Brock said. "Doesn't it?"
"And so are we." Seth said.
Fifteen minutes has passed as they all started walking. Jovan and Seth was walking on Ash's right side and July and Anna on his left while Dratini slithered besides Pikachu. As they were walking, six figures stood in their way. They were all wearing black coats, pants, boots, hats and shades with white gloves.
"Huh?" Ash asked confused as they stop walking.
"Who are you guys?" Jovan asked.
"To protect the world from devastation-"
Meowth quickly slaps Jessie and James before they can say the rest of the motto.
"Next day!" Meowth hissed.
"We forgot!" Jessie and James said.
Meowth landed in front of his partners. "We're the Challenger Cheerleaders to show our support to the brave Pikachu, Dratini, Jovan and Ash." Meowth said.
"Ra." Jessie and James said.
"In honor of the great Pikachu's bravery, we wish to off a cheer." Meowth said.
"Pi." Jessie cawed with her hands around her mouth. "Ka Chu."
"Yeah, yeah!" Meowth cheered with two white fans with a R on them.
"Pikachu!" James cheered, waving a purple flag. "Pikachu, give me a P, give me a I, give me a K, give me a A, give me a C, give me a H and give me a U! What that spell, Pikachu!"
"Hip hip hooray!" Meowth cheered, standing on top of Jessie and James heads.
"Let's split." Justin said.
They all turned around and started running away.
"That was really disturbing." Brock said.
"But also creepy." Seth said.
"Thanks for your support!" Misty called, waving her right arm. "Bye Team Rocket!"
"How did they know it us?!" Meowth asked, shocked.
"Lucky guess." Jessie growled.
"Hhmm." Ash chuckled.
They all step inside the Gym. The lights turned on and Lt. Surge was standing on the other side of the battlefield with his Raichu. Jovan, July, Seth, Anna and Slade gasps when they saw the Gym Leader.
"This guy is huge!" Jovan gasps.
"I've see you come back with some friends." Lt. Surge said.
"Seth." Jovan said, looking over his left shoulder. "Want to go first?"
"Fine by me." Seth said. Seth passes Jovan and steps onto the field.
"The Lt. Surge, the Gym Leader, will be using Raichu. The Challenger, Seth will use three Pokémon. Let the battle begin!"
"Go, Rattata!" Seth yelled, throwing Pokéball onto the field and Rattata appeared.
"Thunder Shock!" Lt. Surge ordered.
"Rai!" Raichu shouted, releasing a yellow lightning bolt at Rattata.
"Dodge by using Quick Attack!" Seth shouted.
Rattata started running, leaving a trail of white light, dodging the attack, hitting Raichu.
"Rai!" Raichu grunted.
"Use Body Slam!" Lt. Surge commanded.
Raichu falls forward on his opponent, crushing Rattata.
"Tata taata!" Rattata yelled.
"Use Tail Whip!" Seth ordered.
Rattata waves his tail back and forth a few times while dodging Raichu's Body Slam.
"Raichu, ThunderShock!" Lt. Surge ordered.
"Quick Attack!" Seth shouted quickly.
Rattata dodge the attack and hits Raichu while leaving a trail of white.
"Rattata, return!" Seth ordered.
"Tatta." Rattata nodded and ran back towards Seth.
"Go, Sandslew!" Seth threw the second Pokéball onto the field and Sandslew appeared.
"Use Body Slam!" Surge ordered.
Raichu was about to slam onto Sandslew, but he quickly dug underground. A few seconds has passed and he emerges, attacking Raichu.
"RAI!" Raichu shouted, landing on its back and not moving.
"Raichu is unable to battle. Sandslew and Rattata wins!"
"No way." Lt. Surge said.
"I can't believe Seth beat him." Ash said.
Sandslew's body began to glow brightly. Sharp brown quills emerges from his dry hide. The claws on both his paws and feet was large. The light died out and a new Pokémon appeared.
"Sandslash!" Sandslash yelled.
Rattata's body began to glow as well. As the light dies out, Seth gasps. There are three whiskers on each side of the face. He was standing on his hind legs and has large incisors, plus, webbed feet with three toes
"Raticate!" Raticate shouted.
"You're Pokémon evolved!" Misty smiled.
Seth turns around to look at Anna. "Want to have a go?" Seth asked.
"Sure." Anna answered.
Ten minutes has passed and Raichu recovered its strength as Anna steps onto the field.
"Go, Raichu!" Lt. Surge shouted as Raichu ran onto the field.
"Go Vul!" Anna yelled.
"Pix!" Vul shouted, running onto the field.
"Use Body Slam!" Lt. Surge ordered.
"Dodge, then counter it with Ember!" Anna shouted.
Vul jumps out of the way and opens her mouth, shooting bolts of fire at Raichu.
"Cha." Raichu grunted.
Raichu's body lit up in flames before disappearing.
"Raichu has been burnt." Jovan said.
"Tail Whip!" Anna ordered.
Vul waves her tail cutely, lowering Raichu's defense.
"Give'em a Mega Kick!" Lt. Surge shouted.
Raichu kicks Vul across the field.
"Vulpix!" Vul shouted in pain, landing on the floor.
"Vul!" Anna yelled. "Can you fight?"
Vul stood up and nodded her head. Vul jumps into the air and swung her tail, releasing mutiple yellow stars with golden sparkles at Raichu, catching it off guard.
"Rai!" Raichu shouted.
"Raichu!" Surge shouted.
"Double Edge!" Anna ordered.
Vul charges at Raichu and tackles it with a powerful slam. Raichu slid on its back when it hits the floor, not moving.
"Raichu is unable to battle. Vul wins!"
"When did Anna taught Vul Double Edge?" Misty thought.
"Great job Vul." Anna smiled, kneeling down as Vul landed in her arms. Anna stood up and turns around to look at Jovan and July. "Which one of you are going next?" Anna asked.
"I'll go." July said.
Two minutes has passed and Raichu recovered its strength.
"Let's go, Chan!" July shouted, throwing a Pokéball in the air and Chan appeared.
"Go Raichu!" Lt. Surge shouted as Raichu ran onto the field.
"Lt. Surge will be using Raichu and July will use three Pokémon. No time limit. Begin!"
"Mega Kick!" Lt. Surge ordered.
"Use Mega Punch!" July ordered.
Raichu's powerful kick connects Chan's right punching glove and both slid from the other.
"ThunderShock!" Lt. Surge ordered.
"Rai!" Raichu shouted, releasing a lightning bolt at Chan.
"Mon!" Chan shouted as the attack makes contact.
"Mega Punch, once more!" July commanded.
Chan punches his opponent with great force.
"Cha!" Raichu grunted, landing on the floor.
Chan watches Raichu to get up.
"Rai." Raichu said, staring at Chan.
"Time to switch." July thought. "Chan, return!"
Chan was transformed into red energy and went back inside the Pokéball.
"Eevee, let's go!" July threw another Pokéball and Eevee appeared.
"Quick Attack!" July ordered.
Eevee quickly tackles Raichu, leaving a trail of white. Raichu couldn't take the attack and faints.
"Raichu is unable to battle. Eevee wins!"
"Good job Eevee." July smiled as Eevee came back to her side.
July turns around and looks at her brother. Another two minutes has pass and Jovan took his position.
"Go, Arcanine!" Jovan shouted, throwing a Pokéball in the air and a new Pokémon appeared. The Pokémon has an orange pelt marked by black stripes. It has diamond-shaped ears with beige insides, black eyes, a round black nose and two pointed teeth protruding from its upper jaw. The head, muzzle and chest are covered in shaggy, beige fur except for two oval sections around each eye and ear. Long tufts of fur grow behind its knees and around its ankles. The underside is black and it has a billowing beige tail in the middle. Each paw has three toes and a round, pink pad.
"AR!" Arcanine roared.
"He let Growlithe decide if he wants to evolve?" Brock asks Slade, who was leaning against the wall.
"That's correct." Slade said.
"Arcanine, use Dig!" Jovan shouted.
Arcanine quickly uses his paws and dug a hole underground. Raichu was looking where he might show up and Arcanine attacks from underground.
"Body Slam!" Lt. Surge said.
Raichu falls on Arcanine.
"Canine!" Arcanine grunted.
"Ember!" Jovan ordered.
Arcanine open his mouth and shot bolts of fire at Raichu. Raichu couldn't dodge the attack and was hit.
"Arcanine, return." Jovan said.
The Legendary Pokémon obeyed and ran back to his trainer's side.
"Dratini, go!" Jovan shouted.
Dratini slither her way on the battlefield.
"ThunderShock!" Lt. Surge ordered.
"Cha!" Raichu shouted, releasing a lightning bolt at Dratini. Dratini couldn't dodge the attack. Raichu didn't let Dratini a chance to counter attack and slams its tail on her back.
"Ni!" Dratini yelled in pain.
"Finish it with Body Slam!" Lt. Surge ordered.
"Get out of there!" Jovan yelled.
As Raichu was about to attack, Dratini's body began to glow brightly. Her body began to grow long as a serpentine and the light disappeared. The Pokémon has sky blue scales and a white underside. Her violet eyes are dark and glossy. She has a smooth, rounded snout and a small, white horn on her forehead. The head is flanked by two small stylized wings, which are white and curve into a swirl at the base. Three blue, crystal orbs, one on her neck and two on her tail, adorn her body.
"Nair!" Dragonair shouted.
"Dratini evolved into Dragonair!" Ash gasps.
A light blue ball was formed in front of Dragonair's crystal. Light blue beams are fired at the attacking Raichu, making it knock out.
"Raichu is unable to battle. Dragonair wins!"
Dragonair turns around and slithered towards Jovan, nuzzling his cheek.
"We did it." Jovan smiled, rubbing Dragonair's head.
"My turn now." Ash said as Jovan, Arcanine and Dragonair walks back to the others.
A few minutes has passed and Raichu regains his strength as Ash and Pikachu took their positions as before.
"Hey baby!" Lt. Surge called out. "Are you ready for another beating?"
The lieutenant notices Pikachu hasn't evolved.
"You didn't make your Pikachu evolved." snickered before looking at Ash. "You haven't learn anything."
"Don't be so sure."Ash growled.
"Ok." Lt. Surge said. "Let's see."
"The challenger, Ash, using a Pikachu. The Gym Leader, Lt. Surge, using a Raichu. The Pokémon battle will be a one on one. Let the battle begin!"
The bell went off and the battle began.
"Use the strategy we planned, Pikachu!" Ash shouted as Pikachu ran onto the field. "You can do it!"
"Pika!" Pikachu shouted.
"A strategy, huh?" Lt. Surge smirked. "They've been planning a new way to lose. Go Raichu!"
"Rai!" Raichu shouted, running onto the battlefield.
Raichu quickly spins around to the left, hitting Pikachu with its tail.
"Ah!" Ash gasps.
"Hm!" Lt. Surge chuckled.
Pikachu rolled on the floor. Raichu began attacking Pikachu with its tail on Pikachu's back a few times.
"Ka!" Pikachu yelled.
"Pikachu." Ash said.
"Hang in there, Pikachu." Misty said, worried.
"Roll to the side and break away!" Brock called.
Team Rocket was also watching the battle from the same window.
"He can't lose!" Libby gasps.
"Not after the cheer we did!" Meowth yelled.
"Maybe we did the wrong cheer."James wondered.
Sam turns his head to the left. "No kidding." Sam said.
"Do it, Raichu!" Lt. Surge ordered. "Give it a Body Slam!"
"Rraiichu!" Raichu yelled, falling on Pikachu's back.
"Ka!" Pikachu shouted in pain.
"Finish it, Raichu!" Lt. Surge ordered. "Another Body Slam!"
"Raiichu!" Raichu yelled as it about to slam Pikachu.
Everyone gasps. "Pikachu!" Everyone yelled.
"Watch out!" Ash shouted.
Pikachu opens his eyes and quickly dodges Raichu's Body Slam.
"Say what?!" Lt. Surge gasps.
Pikachu landed several feet away.
"Alright!" Team Rocket cheered.
"Pikachu!" Ash ordered. "Agility now!"
Pikachu started running on all fours, vanishing repeatedly and immediately reappears in different spots while he was running.
"Raichu, use your Body Slam!" Lt. Surge ordered.
Raichu tries to attack Pikachu, but Pikachu dodges to the right to avoid it. Raichu tried to attack again but Pikachu dodges to left and skids on the other side of Raichu.
"Uh, Raichu?" Lt. Surge asked.
"It's working!" Misty cheered. "Just like Brock said."
"Right." Brock nodded. "Raichu evolved too fast and didn't learn the speed attacks in the Pikachu stage."
"Ok." Ash said. "Use all the Agility you got!"
Pikachu starts to run, leaping from side to side around Raichu. Raichu was trying to look at every different spot before it became confused.
"Your Raichu is way too slow, Surge!" Ash taunted. "That's it's weakness!"
"Gr, ok Raichu." Lt. Surge growled, his right hand turning into a fist. "Give it a Thunderbolt. Shut it down!"
Raichu snaps out of confusion.
"RAAICHU!" Raichu shouted. Raichu's cheeks crackle with yellow electricity and it releases many powerful bolts.
Everyone gasps as the bolts passed them. The lightning bolts destroyed the windows, forcing Team Rocket to duck. Jovan stood in front of July to protect her the lightning bolt as smoke covered the field.
"The end of the match." Lt. Surge smirked. "Huh?"
When the smoke cleared, he notices Pikachu was using his tail to avoid the lightning.
"Pikachu!" Ash smiled.
"Alright." Brock said. "Way to go. It uses its tail in the ground to dodge the electrical attack."
"What a shocking story." Jessie said.
""That was quite a tale." James said, moving Koffing from his face.
Meowth hits Jessie and James hard on their heads.
"And now, you've both been Pun ish." Meowth chuckled.
"That's what I call the electric slide." Slade said.
"Rai... Rai..." Raichu panted.
It couldn't believe Pikachu was still standing.
"Raichu!" Lt. Surge called. "Give it a another Thunderbolt!"
"Rai." Raichu growled. Raichu's cheeks crackled but nothing happen. "Chu?"
"Hm?" Lt. Surge asked confused.
"Rai." Raichu growled again, trying to release another Thunderbolt. "Chai?"
"Do something!" Lt. Surge shouted.
"It's over." Brock said. "Raichu ran out of electricity."
"Alright Pikachu, Quick Attack!' Ash ordered.
Pikachu quickly ran at Raichu.
"Raichu, Take Down, now!" Lt. Surge ordered.
"Rai!" Raichu yelled, trying to grab Pikachu.
Pikachu quickly dodge the attack hits Raichu in the stomach. Pikachu quickly spins around hit Raichu with his own tail of electricity.
"Rai!" Raichu yelled as it landed on its back, not moving at all. Pikachu landed several feet away.
"Unbelievable!" shouted as he brought his hands to the sides of his head. He couldn't believe that he lost a few times in one day.
"We did it, Pikachu!" Ash cheered.
"Good job." Brock smiled.
"Fantastic!" Misty said.
"Yay!" Team Rocket cheered.
"Victory." Meowth smiled.
"Pikachu." Pikachu smiled.
Pikachu's score with Raichu is now over.
Ash, Brock, Misty, Jovan, July, Anna, Slade, Seth, Dragonair and Arcanine walks toward the center of the battlefield with Pikachu. Lt. Surge and his two pals did the same thing.
"Great match." Lt. Surge said, shaking Ash's hand. "Good job, everyone. As proof of your victory, a Thunder Badge."
Lt. Surge reach into his right chest pocket and took out the Thunder Badge as everyone took their own badge.
"Thank you." Ash thanked him.
He looks down at the Thunder Badge in his right hand. The Thunder Badge is in the shape an eight-pointed gold star with an orange octagon in the center.
"Would you look at that, a Thunder Badge." Ash smiled.
"You should be proud." Lt. Surge said. "You and your Pikachu really fought well together and your friends."
"Thanks."Ash said.
"We just got a Thunder Badge!" Jovan cheered. "And it's all ours!"
"Pikachu." Pikachu smiled, doing a peace sign.
Brock, Misty, Slade, Lt. Surge and his two pals started clapping.
"Nice victory, Ash." Lt. Surge said, clapping. "You're no baby."
"Congratulations, everyone." Brock said.
"You all final got your own badge." Misty smiled.
"Rai Rai." Raichu smiled, applauding Pikachu, Dragonair and Arcanine.
"Thank you, Pikachu." Ash said, picking up his friend and holding him in the air. "This was your victory." Ash said as he gave Pikachu a hug.
"Pika Pi." Pikachu smiled, zapping Ash.
"Wow." Ash said dazed, looking at a lot of stars. "Now I can see lot of lucky stars!"
"Pika!" Pikachu cheered.
"Those two makes a great team." Misty said.
"Yeah." Brock nodded his head.
"Good job, Dragonair." Jovan said. "And you too, Arcanine."
"Nair!" Dragonair cheered. Dragonair wraps him around her long body and nuzzled his cheek.
"Ha ha!" Ash and Pikachu laughed.
Everyone laughed as well.
Team Rocket was walking down the path in the afternoon.
"That Pikachu is quite special." James said.
"That's why it's worth snatching." Jessie smiled.
"Even Dragonair." Justin added.
"Once we steal them, we can have our own badge." Meowth said.
Ash, Pikachu, Jovan, July, Anna, Seth and Dragonair got their own Thunder Badge. An impressive performance. But they have a long way to go, so does Team Rocket. And so the adventure continues.
"Drat!" James gasps. "We've wasted this entire chapter cheering the good guys."
"Are you kidding me?!" Libby yelled.

I bet you guys wouldn't see Dragonair and several of them evolved this fast or my Oc's wining instead of losing. Heh heh. Since my OC's will be transforming into Pokémon, I've decided to add new rules for the Regional Championships. I got this idea from Pokkén Tournament. I'm still not sure if I should add "Synergy Burst" at the end. But I'm trying to come up with something different. Also, check out "One Great Game". It explains about my OC's getting interested in the Pokémon series in the first place since it is a prequel.
