Pokémon Scent-Sation!
Ash and his friends arrived in Celedon City, the great metropolis, given for its tall buildings and scent.
It's a beautiful day in Celedon City. Our heroes were standing on the sidewalk, surrounded by the tall buildings.
"Pika." Pikachu said, sniffing something in the air.
"Something smells heavenly." Brock said, sniffing.
"Perfume." Misty said.
"What's going on?" Ash asked, turning his head around to look at his friends.
A smell in the air caught July and Anna's noses.
"It smells wonderful." Anna smiled.
"Beautiful." July said.
Brock ran off, following the scent.
"Wait, Brock!" Ash called out to him. "Where are you going?!"
Ash and his friends ran after Brock. They found Brock with his face against the glass.
"So what are the faces for, Brock?" Jovan asks him.
Brock pulls away from the glass and turns his face towards Ash. "My nose is telling me this is my kind of place." Brock said with a dreamy smile.
Jovan looks through the glass. There were three girls at the counter on the right side of the store. All three of them was wearing pink uniforms. The first girl has long green hair with a orange bow. The second girl has green eyes and blonde hair while the third girl has purple hair and black eyes.
"Then he says maybe we can go both together." the first girl said.
Jovan enters the store with July, Anna, Seth, Slade, Dragonair, Misty and Pikachu in the perfume store. July and Anna went over to the glass case.
"So which one do you think is good for you, Anna?" July asks.
"Do you two want to try a sample?" the third girl asked.
July and Anna turns around. "Yes please." July answered.
"Alright." the third girl smiled. "You two can sit with your friend right there."
Her two friends pulls up two more red chairs as Anna sat next to Misty while July sat next Pikachu.
"This one is our most popular." the first girl said, showing July and Anna a small pink bottle. "It's called Daffodil Dreams." She said, spraying the perfume on their wrists.
Anna sniffs her left wrist. "It smells wonderful." Anna smiled.
"We're having a fragrance sale." the third girl replied.
"So how much does this one cost?" Misty asked.
Ash enters the perfume store. "Don't buy it, you three." Ash said, walking up to the girls. "Perfumes are just a waste of money and it stinks."
"Go away." Misty growled in a low voice.
"I resent that remark." a new voice said.
Jovan turns around to see another girl. The girl was wearing a white shirt underneath a red robe that was shown underneath the blue and pink flowered kimono dress. She has green eyes and black hair.
"Are you the manager?" Jovan asks her.
"Yes, I am." the store manager answered him. She looks at Ash with an angry look. "Young man, are you accusing me of overcharging my customers for inferior perfume?" The store manager asks, walking up to them.
"Uh..." Ash was trying to say as he was nervous. "No mam." Ash answered truthfully. "I meant all perfumes are a rip off and all they do is turn guys into zombies. Like this." He grabs Brock and puts him in front of the manager.
"Hi." Brock said in a dreamy trance. "What's your name?"
The store manger smiles at Brock before she looks at Ash and pointed a finger at him as she walks past Brock. "P for pretty, E for elegant, R for radiant, F for fun, U for urbane, M for mysterious, E for energy and that spells?" The store manager took a few steps towards Ash, making him to back up.
"Perfume!" Misty growled angrily.
"Right!" Brock agreed.
"Pika!" Pikachu nodded.
"I don't need that smelly stuff to give me energy." Ash said. "I'm full of it. I got tons more energy than I know what to do with."
Anna walks up behind Ash. "Why don't you use that energy to be quiet?" Anna snarls at him.
"If you object to our products so much, perhaps you should leave, since we sell perfume here, you must find us offensive." the store manager said.
The three girls surrounded Ash.
"You should be ashamed of yourself." the first girl said angrily.
"You incentive little worm." the third girl said angrily.
"What'd I say?" Ash asked confused.
The second girl grabs Ash by the collar, turns him around. "Get out of here and don't come back!" the second girl yelled angrily at Ash as she kicks him out.
Ash pushes himself off the ground before he turns around. "I don't want to come back!" Ash shouted angrily. "I'm on my way to the Celadon City Gym!" With that said, Ash began to look for the Celadon City Gym.
"Ash could've at least keep his mouth shut." Slade said.
"I agree." Seth nodded.
"So where do you make the perfume?" July asks the manager.
"At the Celadon City Gym." the manager answers her.
"Amazing." July said. "I bet the Gym Leader is okay with that."
"Heh heh." the manager chuckled. "The Gym Leader is okay with that because I'm the Gym Leader."
"You're the Gym Leader?" Jovan asked surprised.
"That's right." the first girl smiled.
"I'm Erika." Erika introduced herself. "What are your names?"
"My name is Jovan." Jovan said.
"I'm July." July smiled.
"Anna is my name." Anna chuckled.
"You can call me Seth." Seth said.
"The name is Slade." Slade introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you all." Erika smiled. "I get off in ten minuets."
Ten minuets has passed as Erika got into new clothes. When Erika steps outside to see them, Jovan notices that her hair is blue and was wearing a green dress with a small red bow tie along with a pair of ruby slippers. "Let's head to the Gym." Erika smiled. She led them down the street to her Pokémon Gym. The Gym of the roof has a massive red flower.
Several girls smiled when they saw their Gym Leader entered the gym.
"Welcome back, Erika." a girl said to Erika. The girl was wearing yellow shirt with a red tie, a brown belt holding her yellow shorts and her long blue hair was in a ponytail.
"Thank you." Erika smiled. "Was there any trouble?"
"We just kicked out a raven hair trainer." the Gym Trainer said.
"Good." Erika smiled. "Everyone, follow me to the battlefield." She lead everyone down the hall to pair of double doors. The Gym Leader opens the door to reveal the battlefield. There was some bleachers that was sitting underneath some glass windows.
"Now then." Slade said. "Who's going first?"
"I'll go." Seth said.
"Very well." Erika nodded her head. She walks to the other side of the field to take her place.
Jovan, Anna, July, Slade, Dragonair and the Gym Trainers took their seats on the bleachers.
"It's my job to accept challenges under the League's rules." Erika explains. "We'll each use three Pokémon."
"Alright then." Seth said, taking his place as he took out a Poké Ball. "Go, Raticate!" He throws the Poké Ball in the air and Raticate appeared.
"Raticate!" Raticate shouted.
"Go, Tangela!" Erika yelled, throwing a Poké Ball and the Pokémon appeared. It is covered with thick blue vines that obscure its face so only its eyes can be seen. These vines are covered in fine hair, and they give it a round shape. The vines are always growing, and can be replaced if lost or damaged. It has a pair of red boot-like feet, but no visible arms.
"Tangela." it said.
"Let's see." Seth said, taking out his Poké Dex as his friends did the same thing.
"Tangela. A Vine Pokémon. Its body is wrapped in vines. The rest of its form is hidden beneath the vines."
"Let's go, Raticate!" Seth ordered. "Use Tackle!"
"Rat!" Raticate shouted as he tackled Tangela.
"Tangela!" Tangela grunted.
"Tangela, use Stun Spore!" Erika commanded.
Tangela shakes its body and waves of red powder comes out of it. The red powder missed, due to Raticate's Quick Attack.
"Focus Energy!" Seth ordered. "Then use Quick Attack!"
A light-blue aura outlined Raticate's body. Then Raticate charges at Tangela with fast speed, tackling into Tangela.
"Gla!" Tangela shouted as it was knocked out.
"Tangela!" Erika gasps.
Back at the sidelines, the Gym Trainers were surprised to see Erika's Tangela to be defeated quickly.
"Your friend is very impressive." a girl said.
"Thanks." July said.
"Tangela, return!" Erika shouted, taking out Tangela's Poké Ball. Tangela transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball.
"Since Tangela is out, I wonder what Pokémon Erika will use next." Anna wondered.
"Go, Weepinbell!" Erika shouted, throwing her Poké Ball and her next Pokémon appeared. It has a yellow, bell-shaped body with a single green leaf on either side. It uses these razor-sharp leaves to slice up prey. It has a wide, gaping mouth with pink lips. Above Weepinbell's circular eyes is a pattern of three small green spots and a small hook-shaped stem.
"Weepinbell." he said.
"Raticate, return." Seth said, taking out Raticate's Poké Ball. Racticate transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. Seth took out another Poké Ball. "Go, Pidgeotto!" Seth yelled, throwing the Poké Ball in the air and Pidgeotto appeared.
"Geo!" Pidgeotto cried.
"Weepinbell, use Razor Leaf!" Erika ordered.
Weepinbell began to spin around and multiple razor-sharp leaves comes out and flies at Pigeotto.
"Gust, let's go!" Seth ordered.
Pidgeotto begins to flap his wings really fast to create a miniature gust at Weepinbell. Weepinbell tries it best to avoid the gust of wind but it was hit.
"Weepinbell!" Weepinbell shouted as it got hit.
"Oh no!" Erika gasps.
"Finish it with Quick Attack!" Seth ordered.
"Geo." Pidgeotto nodded his head. He dives down fast as a white stream was created and was surrounded by spirals of fire while it speeds down on Weepinbell.
"Bell!" Weepinbell shouted before it fainted.
"Weepinbell!" Erika gasps.
Pidgeotto landed right in front of Seth.
"Good job, Pidgeotto." Seth said.
Pidgeotto turned around and smiled. "Geo." Pidgeotto chirped.
"Weepinbell, return." Erika said. Weepinbell transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "Don't think the match is over, Seth." Erika said. "It's time for you to meet my third Pokémon, go!" She throws the Poké Ball in the air and a Pokémon appears. It was a blue, bipedal Pokémon with rudimentary hands and feet. It has orange leaves and a reddish-brown flower growing from its head. The flower has large, rounded petals and white spots. The female displays only a single large spot on each petal, while the male will have more, smaller spots. Its eyes are wide and often appear closed and its lips are thin and purple.
"Gloom." Gloom said.
"A Gloom, hm." Seth said.
"Gloom, use Acid!" Erika ordered.
Gloom fires a ball of violet acid from its mouth towards Pidgeotto.
"Dodge it!" Seth ordered.
"Pidgeo!" Pidgeotto chirped, flying in the air to avoid the acid.
"Use Quick Attack!" Seth commanded.
"Take Down!"
Gloom charges itself and slams into Pidgeotto with great force. "Gloom." Gloom grunted, feeling the recoil.
"Pidgeotto, use Gust once more!" Seth commanded.
Pidgeotto begins to flap his wings really fast to create a miniature gust at Gloom. The Weed Pokémon didn't have a chance to dodge the attack as it was hit from the gust.
"Gloom!" Gloom cried out before falling forward, fainted.
"Gloom!" Erika gasps.
"Erika lost." one of the Gym Trainers said.
"Who's up next?" Slade asked, looking at Jovan, July and Anna.
"I'll go next." Anna smiled.
"Let my Pokémon rest for a few minutes." Erika said.
A few minutes has passed as Erika and Anna stood on the battlefield.
"Go, Tangela!" Erika shouted, throwing her Poké Ball and Tangela appeared.
"Go, Lee!" Anna shouted throwing her Poké Ball in the air and Lee appeared.
Lee did some impressive kicks before looking at Tangela.
"Lee, use Mega Kick!" Anna shouted.
"Lee." Lee nodded. Lee jumps into the air and tries to kick Tangela.
But Tangela spins around quickly, sucking in Lee's leg with its vines.
"Tangela, use Stun Spore!" Erika ordered.
"Double Team!" Anna quickly commanded.
Blue glow outlines Lee's body and multiple copies of himself appeared. Tangela didn't attack as it was surrounded.
"Mega Kick, let's go!" Anna ordered.
All of the Lees began to kick repeatedly at Tangela. Tangela couldn't take the hits and fainted.
"Tangela, return!" Erika shouted. Tangela transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball and Erika took out another Poké Ball. "Go, Weepinbell!" she shouted, throwing the Poké Ball in the air and Weepinbell appeared.
"Lee, return!" Anna shouted. Lee transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "Go, Vul!" she shouted, throwing another Poké Ball and Vul appeared.
"Vul!" Vul barked.
"Weepinbell, used Razor Leaf!" Erika commanded.
"Bell!" Weepinbell nodded, spinning around quickly and multiple razor-sharp leaves comes flying towards Vul.
"Vul, dodge it and use Ember!" Anna ordered.
"Vulpix!" Vul shouted, dodging the razor sharp leaves and shoots bolts of fire from her mouth at Weepinbell.
"Wee!" Weepinbell shouted as it got hit by the bolts of fire.
"Oh no!" Erika gasps.
"Finish it with Double Edge!" Anna commanded.
Vul charges and tackles into Weepinbell with great force. Weepinbell was sent flying and landed on the floor, not moving.
"Good job, Vul!" Anna called out to Vul.
Vul jumps for joy.
"Weepinbell, return!" Erika shouted. Weepinbell transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball and took out another Poké Ball. "Go, Gloom!" She throws the Poké Ball onto the battlefield and Gloom appeared.
"Gloom!" Gloom yelled.
"Vul, return!" Anna shouted. Vul ran back to hers trainer's side as Anna took out another Poké Ball. "Go, Pidgeotto!" She throws the Poké Ball onto the battlefield and Pidgeotto appeared.
"Geo!" Pidgeotto cried, flapping her wings.
"Gloom!" Gloom shouted, releasing a yellow cloud.
The cloud flies over to Pidgeotto. "Pidgeo!" Pidgeotto groaned.
"Pidgeotto, use Gust to counter it!" Anna shouted.
Pidgeotto flaps her wings rapidly to created a miniature gust. The yellow cloud disappeared and the miniature gust hits Gloom.
"Gloom, are you alright?" Erika called out to it.
"Gloom." it nodded.
"Alright." Erika said. "Gloom, use Acid!"
"Gloom!" Gloom shouted, firing a ball of violet acid from its mouth.
"Dodge and use Sand Attack!" Anna ordered.
Pidgeotto quickly dodges the acid and flaps her wings, throwing sand into Gloom's eyes. Gloom continued to fire multiple balls of acid. Pidgeotto dodges them all and quickly tackles into Gloom, leaving a trail of white light. Gloom fell backwards and didn't move.
"Good job, Pidgeotto." Anna smiled as her Pidgeotto landed in front of her.
"Geo." Pidegotto chirps happily.
"So which one of you are going next?" Seth asked, looking at Jovan and July.
July stood up. "I'll go." July answered.
"All right then." Erika smiled. "I'll let my Pokémon rest for a few minutes."
A few minutes has passed and July and Erika stood on either side of the battlefield.
"Go, Chan!" July shouted, throwing a Poké Ball in the air and Chan appeared.
"Hitmonchan!" Chan shouted, throwing some punches.
"Go, Tangela!" Erika shouted, throwing a Poké Ball in the air and Tangela appeared.
"Chan, use Ice Punch!" July ordered.
"Chan!" Chan shouted, running towards it with his boxing gloves cloaked in a icy glow.
Tangela used a couple of its vines to grab Chan's right arm. But Chan's left arm was free as his left boxing glove was ignited in flames. After the punch was connected, the flame burst into flames.
"Tangela!" Tangela shouted as it was sent flying to the other side.
"Use Sun Spore!" Erika commanded.
Tangela began to shake its body and waves of red powder comes out of it.
"Dodge it and use Mega Punch!" July commanded.
Chan easily dodge the red powder and punches Tangela with great force. Tangela didn't get up from the attack.
"Tangela, return!" Erika shouted.
Tangela's body transformed into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball.
"Go, Weepinbell!" Erika shouted, throwing the Poké Ball in the air and Weepinbell appeared.
"Bell." Weepinbell said.
"Return, Chan!" July yelled. Chan transformed into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "Good job, Chan." July smiled before taking out another Poké Ball. "Go, Slyther!" She threw the Poké Ball in the air and Slyther appeared.
"Scy." Slyther appeared.
"She's using Slyther?" Slade gasps.
"Do you think Slyther will listen to her?" Misty wondered.
"I hope so." Anna muttered.
"Slyther, use Cut!" July ordered.
Slyther slices through the razor-sharp leaves with no problem. She then repeated slashes her opponent with her scythes.
"Weepin!" Weepinbell shouted, trying to protect itself by using Razor Leaf.
The razor-leaves were slice in half by Slyther and the Mantis Pokémon slashes her opponent.
"Bell." Weepinbell said, falling backwards.
"Weepinbell, return!" Erika yelled. Weepinbell transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "Take a rest, Weepinbell." Erika said before she took out another Poké Ball. "Go, Gloom!" She yelled, throwing the Poké Ball in the air and Gloom appeared.
"Gloom." Gloom said happily.
"Slyther, return!" July yelled. Slyther transformed into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. July took out another Poké Ball. "Go, Eevee!" She yelled, throwing the Poké Ball in the air and Eevee appeared.
"Vee Eevee!" Eevee purred.
"Gloom, use Acid!" Erika shouted.
"Gloom!" Gloom shouted, firing a ball of violet acid at Eevee.
"Vee!" Eevee shouted, feeling the attack.
"Eevee, you okay?!" July called out to it.
"Eev!" Eevee nodded her head, shaking it off.
"Good." July smiled. "Use Swift!"
"Eevee!" Eevee nodded her head and jumps into the air. She swishes her tail, releasing multiple colored stars with golden sparks around them at Gloom.
"Gloom!" Gloom grunted, taking the attack.
"Attack back with Acid!" Erika commanded.
Gloom fire multiple balls of acid at Eevee. Eevee dodges the attack by using Quick Attack and tackled into Gloom.
"Finish it with Double Edge!" July ordered.
Eevee become surrounded in a white aura of streaks and charges into her opponent with great force. Gloom fell sideways, not moving.
"Gloom, return!" Erika shouted. Gloom transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball.
"Great job, Eevee!" July cheered.
"Vee!" Eevee cheered, running towards her trainer. July bent her knees down and pats Eevee's head.
"I guess I'm next." Jovan said.
"Let's wait for a few minutes for my Pokémon to recover." Erika said.
A few minuets has passed and the Gym Leader and the challenger took their positions on either side of the battlefield.
"Go Tengela!" Erika shouted, throwing the Poké Ball in the air and Tangela appeared.
"La." Tengela said.
"Let's go, Arcanine!" Jovan shouted, throwing a Poké Ball in the air and Arcanine appeared.
"Nine!" the Legendary Pokémon barked.
"Arcanine, use Bite!" Jovan ordered.
Arcanine bites down the opponent with his mouth.
"Teng!" Tengela grunted in pain.
"Use Stun Spore!" Erika ordered.
Tengela began to sake its body with red dust coming out.
"Quick Arcanine, use Dig!" Jovan commanded.
Arcanine digs into the ground with his front paws, avoiding the red dust. The Vine Pokémon didn't know where it come up from. Seconds later, the ground teared open as Arcanine attacked from below, sending Tangela flying. He opens his mouth and fires a red-orange stream at Tengela.
"Tengela!" It shouted in pain before fainting.
"Tengela!" Erika gasps.
"He's good." one of the Gym Trainers said to Brock.
"Return, Tengela!" Erika shouted. Tengela transformed into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball as Erika took out another Poké Ball. "Weepinbell, go!" She threw the Poké Ball into the air and Weepinbell appeared.
"Weep." Weepinbell said.
"Arcanine, return!" Jovan yelled. Arcanine transformed into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. "Let's go, Charmander!" the teen shouted, throwing the Poké Ball into the air and Charmander appeared.
"Char!" Charmander shouted.
"Weepinbell, use Razor Leaf!" Erika commanded.
Weepinbell begin to spin fast multiple leaves came out and flew at Charmander.
"Char." Charmander grunted a bit.
"Charmander, use Flamethrower!" Jovan ordered.
"Char!" Charmander shouted, opening his mouth to release a red-orange stream of fire at Weepinbell.
"Bell!" Weepinbell yelled in pain.
"Weepinbell!" Erika shouted with a worried look.
"Flamethrower, one more time!" Jovan commanded.
"Mander!" Charmander shouted as she releases one more Flamethrower at Weepinbell.
"Bell!" Weepinbell shouted in pain, taking the red-orange stream before it fainted.
"Weepinbell, return!" Erika yelled. Weepinbell transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball. Erika looks at Jovan.
"You did great, Charmander." Jovan smiled.
"Char." Charmander nodded.
"Return." Jovan said. Charmander transforms into red energy and went back inside the Poké Ball.
"You've raise your Pokémon well, Jovan." Erika said before taking out another Poké Ball. "But don't think the battle is over yet. Gloom, go!" She threw the Poké Ball in the air and Gloom appeared.
"Gloom." it said.
"Go for it, Dragonair!" Jovan shouted.
"Nair!" Dragonair shouted, flying past Jovan.
"Gloom, use Acid!" Erika ordered.
"Gloom!" Gloom shouted, firing the ball of violet acid.
Dragonair countered it with Bubblebeam, causing a small explosion. She quickly appeared out of the smoke and fired a swirling cyclone from her glowing orb at close range in front of Gloom.
"Gloom!" Gloom yelled landing on its back.
"Gloom, can you stand?" Erika called out to Gloom.
"Gloom." Gloom said, getting back on its feet.
"Alright, use Acid again!" Erika ordered.
"Ice Beam, full power now!" Jovan commanded.
Dragonair forms a light blue ball of energy in front of her mouth. She fires multiple light beams from the ball at Gloom. Gloom didn't have a chance to fire the violet ball as it got hit from the beams.
"Gloom!" Gloom shouted before fainting.
"Gloom!" Erika yelled.
Jovan walks up to Dragonair and rubs her neck. "Good job, Dragonair." Jovan smiled. "That was excellent."
"Nair!" Dragonair nodded her head happily.
Erika and Gloom walks up Jovan as July and her friends walks up besides him.
"I present you all the Rainbow Badge." Erika announced, sticking her right hand out. On her right palm was four Rainbow Badges. She hand the badges to each of them.
"Our fifth Badge." Jovan smiled.
"Since the last battle is over, the ladies and myself have tend to the Pokémon." Erika said.
"Is it alright if we help out with you as well, Erika?" July asked.
"Of course." the Gym Leader smiled.
They all went inside another room where the Grass Type Pokémon greeted them. There was a Pokémon resembling six light pink eggs, usually seen arranged with five heads huddled around a sixth. Each "head" has a slightly different facial expression, but each face has triangular eyes with tiny black pupils and a small mouth. Each shell has some cracks, and one member of the bundle usually has its yolk or brain exposed.
July notice a plant-based Pokémon with a stem-like brown body. This stem is long, thin and very flexible, making it capable of swerving rapidly to avoid many attacks or moving with blinding speed to capture prey. Its roots resemble feet, and it uses them as such. It will plant these feet in the ground to replenish water, but it is unable to flee while it is rooted. It has one green leaf on each side of its body. Its yellow head is bell-shaped and has what appear to be pink lips at the end.
Standing right next to Oddish was a blue, bipedal Pokémon with rudimentary hands and feet. It has beady red eyes and a massive red flower growing from its head. Vileplume's flower is said to have the largest petals in the world, and is almost too heavy for the Pokémon itself to support. The rounded petals of the flower are red and covered with white spots. The female Vileplume has fewer, but larger, spots on its petals.
Everyone helped out by exercising the Pokémon and cleaning up Gloom's drool. They were all finished as they sat down and listen to Erika's story about Omanyte.
"And so, Omanyte forbid farewell and promised to one day return to visit the friends on the beach who changed his life on that faraway beach. The End." Erika finished the story.
Misty and Brock were in the front with Pikachu sitting on a woman's lap next to them. Jovan and Anna was sitting next to the other girl that was next to Brock. July, Seth and Slade were all sitting right besides Anna as Eevee was sitting on Anna's lap. Dragonair sat in the back.
"Great story!" Brock cried, wiping his tears off with a napkin.
"Pika." Pikachu nodded.
"Trainer Erika." the girl called out from behind them.
Everyone turns around to notice her and the new girl.
"I would like to introduce our new student."
"Oh." Erika said, standing up. "Welcome."
The girl has blonde hair, wearing a orange dress and wearing ruby slippers. "Thank you ma'am." the girl said, looking down as she was trying to avoid eye contact.
"You must be shy, young lady." Seth said, walking up to her. "All the girls here will make you feel at home here."
Brock turns around to look at the girls. "Let's all give her a warm welcome." Brock said to the girls.
"Pika." Pikachu agreed.
"May I ask you a question?" Misty asks Erika.
"Why sure Misty." Erika answered, turning around.
"I was wondering why we can all sit near Gloom." Misty said, looking down at Gloom. "I always thought about because of its terrible smell, it was almost impossible to be with Gloom. This Gloom doesn't smell bad to me at all."
"That's a very smart question, Misty." Erika said, walking and knelt down next to Gloom. "Gloom doesn't have a bad smell all the time. Whenever Gloom is in danger, it lets out the bad smell as a natural defense mechanism."
The Gym Trainer, Brock and Ashley walks up to her.
"But as long as Gloom is not threaten, it smells just fine." Erika said. "Just make sure its safe and show Gloom that you want to be its friend."
"How do you know that?" Misty asked.
"I met Gloom a long time ago." Erika said, closing her eyes as she remembers the past.
Flashback
Erika shook scared as the Pokémon cornered her. It was a slimy, amorphous blob-like Pokémon whose body was animated because of lunar X-rays. Its purple sludge body contains a variety of pungent bacteria, which are so potent that it renders soil barren and incapable of supporting plant life. It has two large eyes with beady pupils, and a gaping mouth with a gray tongue. While it lacks any visible legs, it does have two arms with three digits on each hand. It is constantly oozing a bacteria-rich fluid from all parts of its body.
"Grimer!" it growled.
"When I was little girl, I got lost one day and ran into a Grimer. I've never been so scared. I couldn't even move."
Little Erika notice a Gloom walking by. "Please, can you help me?" she called out to it.
Gloom stops walking and turns around to see what was going on.
"Please help me!" Little Erika begged.
"Somehow that Gloom understood how scared I felt and decided to come to my rescue."
"Gloom!" Gloom yelled, releasing a yellow gas towards the Grimer.
"Grimer!" Grimer yelled in disgust, fleeing the scene.
Little Erika hugs Gloom. "I love you." Little Erika said to Gloom.
"Gloom." Gloom said happily.
Flashback End
"This is the same Gloom that rescued me from that Grimer that day." Erika explains. "We've been friends ever since."
"It's all because of her friendship with Gloom that Erika decided to become a grass Pokémon Trainer." the Gym Trainer said.
"I wish Ash could've hear that story." Misty said with a smile on her face. She had her eyes close with her arms crossed.
"I heard it." Ashley said.
"Huh?" Everyone asked confused, staring Ashley. The new girl's voice was familiar to Brock, Misty, Erika, Jovan, Pikachu, July, Seth, Anna, Slade and Dragonair.
"Please don't stare at me like that." Ashley said, blushing while trying to cover her face. "I'm a very shy little girl."
Anna and July walks up to Ashley. "You're face is familiar." Anna said, staring at the new girl's face.
"You're right, Anna." July nodded her head.
Pikachu walks pasts the three girls and stops in front of the new girl, causing her to be more nervous.
"Pikachu." the Ashley muttered under her voice, worried.
"Pika Pi." Pikachu said, nuzzling the new girl's ankle.
"Knock it off." Ashley warns Pikachu in a low voice.
"Pika?" Pikachu growled with electricity sparking out of his cheeks. He angrily shocks Ashley making her scream. Pikachu stops as Ashley was fazed. Her blonde hair fell down on the floor, revealing Ash and his raven hair.
"Ash?" Slade gasps.
"Yeah, it's me." Ash said.
"You're that boy." Erika said.
Ash turns to face her and points at Erika. "Erika, you wouldn't let me in." Ash growled at her. "So I had to wear this stupid disguise. I snuck into your Gym to win a Badge and now I want to challenge you."
Libby, Sam and Justin were in the hallway, making sure no one knows their here. The door opens behind them as Jessie, James and Meowth came out into the hallway with a small bottle of yellow liquid.
"Is that the perfume?" Libby asks Jessie.
"That's right." Jessie answered.
"Then let's move." Justin suggested.
Everyone watches from the stands as Ash and Erika battled each other. Ash lost two Pokémon and he knew that Pikachu and Pidgeotto couldn't stand the smell.
"Pika."
Ash looks at Pikachu. "Pikachu?"
"Chu." Pikachu nodded.
The raven-haired trainer knelt down in front of the Mouse Pokémon. "You're saying you want to battle?" Ash asked.
"Pika." Pikachu nodded his head. "Pikachu Pi."
"You know you're probably going to lose, even though you're still willing to battle Gloom to help me?" Ash asked.
"Pika Pi." Pikachu said, turning around and crossing his arms over while nodding.
"You'll win?" Ash asked.
"Pikachu."
"Oh, Pikachu!" Ash smiled, hugging him.
"Heartwarming, but what's that smell?"
"What?" Ash growled, standing up as he looks up.
Standing above the lantern high in the ceiling was Team Rocket and Team Neo.
"You're Pokémon skills are beginning to stink up the place." Jessie comment.
"It's Team Rocket and Team Neo!" Misty gasps.
Team Rocket and Team Neo jumps off the lamp as Team Rocket did their motto.
"Prepare for trouble!"
"Make it double!"
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
Jessie and James landed, spreading their arms wide.
"To denounce the evil of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
Meowth landed on their arms with small blast box. "And last, but not least, to blast this dump sky high!" Meowth shouted, pressing the switch.
"Jessie!"
"James!"
A light began to erupt underneath them and exploded, sending them through the roof and into the night sky.
"Where did you put that blast ball?!" James shouted at Meowth, shaking him back and forth.
"Near us so I wouldn't lose it!" Meowth yelled.
"But at least we got this lovely parting gift!" Jessies shouted with a smile on her face, revealing the perfume. "Their secret perfume formula!"
"How?!" Jovan gasps.
"Team Rocket is blasting off again!" the trio shouted before the six of the disappeared, into the night sky.
The explosion caused a huge fire.
Who Is Stronger? Epic Battle!
"We'll help you girls get the Pokémon!" Jovan shouted.
"Thank you!" one of the Gym Trainers thanked him.
Anna and July ran to the bushes where Oddish and Vileplume were scared behind the bush.
"It's okay." July told them calmly.
"We'll carry you inside the Poké Balls to safety." Anna assured the two Pokémon.
All the Pokémon went back inside the Poké Balls and ran outside for safety. The girls were calling the fire department and was trying to put out the fire. Erika notice that Jovan, July, Seth and Anna were beginning to transform. Jovan transforms into the Black Dragonite as his sister transforms into the Dark Blue Gyarados while Seth transforms into Nidoking and Anna transforms into Seel.
"Nair!" Dragonair shouted, releasing a powerful stream of bubbles at the fire.
Aqua teamed up with Anna, Starmie, Staryu and Squirtle to use their Water Guns as July used Hydro Pump to put out the fire with the help of her friends. Seth slams both of his fists into the ground, sending several rocks into the air and into the fire to put it out. Rose used Stomp to break the boulder while Nido was using Double Kick to destroy a small boulder.
"Nite!" Jovan shouted, releasing a spiral of water from his mouth towards the fire.
"Good to see you've learned a new move, Master!" a voice cried out. Dragonair flew in front of Jovan. Jovan blinked a couple of times. "Did Dragonair spoke?" Jovan wondered.
"I did." Dragonair answered. "But this isn't time to talk about this. We need to take out that fire."
"Right." Jovan nodded his head.
Dragonair dove down and used Bubble Beam to take out the fire.
Music Stops
"Help me!" a voice cried out.
"Hm?" Dragonair stops her attack. There was a hole in the roof of the Gym and she could see Gloom. "Gloom is still inside the Gym!" she yelled, looking up at Jovan.
"Oh no!" Jovan growled. "We've got to get it out of there."
July, Anna and Seth notice Jovan and Dragonair flew into the Gym. The three of them stops their attacks and rushes into the burning Gym without hesitation.
Jovan and Dragonair landed in the middle of the battlefield and Jovan transforms back into his human form before he rushes towards Gloom.
"Don't worry, Gloom." Jovan smiled, kneeling down in front of it. "You're going to okay. I promise."
"Jovan!" July yelled, rushing into the room with Seth and Anna as the three of them were back in their human forms.
"Are you alright?" Anna asked.
"I'm fine." Jovan answered. "Gloom got left behind."
July looks past her brother's shoulder and nodded her head. "We're going to get you out of here, Gloom." July smiled.
"Guys, the fire!" Seth pointed out to the battlefield behind Jovan.
The fire began to move to the center of the battlefield and became a fiery ring. Then the armored dragon creature appeared.
"It's that creature again!" Jovan yelled.
Before the four of them can say anything else, their bodies began to change. Jovan transforms into Arcanine. Seth's face became a narrow muzzle with almond-shaped blue eyes and grew a tail. His back became covered in sharp, brown quills formed from his tough dry hide. Most of his skin became light yellow with a white underbelly. He has two sharp claws on his paws and feet.
"Sandslash!" Seth shouted.
July transforms into Scyther. "Scyther!" she yelled.
Anna transforms into Vaporeon. "Vaporeon!" Anna shouted.
Jovan transforms into Charmander. "Char!" Jovan snarled.
"Gloom!" Ash's voice called out from the hallway.
The armored creature disappears by the time Ash found them and entered the battlefield. He couldn't hold his breath any longer as he took a breath. "There's no smell." Ash said. Then he remembers what Erika said.
"As long as Erika doesn't feel threaten, it smells just fine. Just make sure Gloom feels safe and you want to be its friend."
Ash nodded his head and looks at Gloom. "Come on." Ash said. "Let's go, Gloom!"
"Gloom Gloom!" it smiled.
Outside of the Gym, all the girls and Slade were trying to put out the fire.
"I'm going in!" Slade told Brock but Chan and Lee stops him before he can proceed.
"Hitmonchan." Chan said.
A huge fire boulder fell on the ground blocking the entrance.
"Oh no!" Slade grunted. The flaming boulder short towards him, Brock, Misty and Erika.
"Chan!" Chan shouted as he and Lee ran in front of Slade.
Lee jumps into the air and kicks the flaming boulder with the help of Chan as Chan leaves a white trail of energy, destroying the boulder into million of pieces.
"What was that?" Slade wondered.
"Ah!" Misty gasps. She could see several people running through the entrance. It was Ash as he was carrying Gloom, being followed by Jovan, July, Seth and Anna as they exited out the burning building quickly.
"Alright!" Slade cheered, running towards their friends.
Ash and the others stops running and puts Gloom down.
"Way to go, everyone!" Brock smiled.
"That was great, everyone!" Misty cheered.
"Thank you Ash, Jovan, July, Seth, Anna and Dragonair!" Erika thanks them.
It was a long night for everyone. The fire was put out in the morning. The building was in pretty bad shape as their were debris all around. Erika stood in front of Ash. "With deep gratitude, I present you all the Rainbow Badge." Erika smiled. She handed each badge to Jovan, July, Seth and Anna and Ash is the only one left.
"What's that for?" Ash asked, looking up at her.
"I think you earned it, right Gloom?" Erika asks Gloom.
"Gloom Gloom." Gloom agreed.
"Thanks a lot." Ash said. He picks up the Rainbow Badge from Erika's hand. "Take a look, Pikachu. We've got a Rainbow Badge."
"Nair!" Dragonair cheered.
"Pika." Pikachu smiles along with Gloom.
"Congratulations, everyone." Slade said to his friends.
"Thanks." Ash said. Then he remembered and looks back Erika. "What about Team Rocket and Team Neo? They got away with your secret perfume formula."
"Heh heh." Erika chuckled. "No they didn't."
"What?" Jovan asked confused.
"The bottle they stole has only one of our secret ingredient's." Erika smiled. "Essence of Gloom."
"That's stinks for them." Jovan said.
"So Jovan, I hear Anna is going on a date with after last night." July chuckled.
"July!" Jovan moans, his face turning red while Anna looked the other way.
"What happened last night?" Brock asked.
"Anna was on top of him last night." July answered.
"She fell on me because Dragonair pushed her into me." Jovan said angrily.
"Dragonair!" Dragonair laughed.
"That reminds me." Erika said. "How did you know Gloom was still inside the Gym?"
"I've overheard it and went inside." Jovan lied. He didn't want them to find out of how he knew Gloom was still in there.
In another part of the city, Jessie, James and Meowth were inside a pipe as Libby, Sam and Justin was standing outside of the pipeline pile.
"Now we can make a lot of money on this formula." Libby chuckled darkly. But she heard the trio screamed and one of the pipes fell on Libby, Sam and Justin. The smell reached their noses. "It stinks!"
"I can't stand the smell!" Sam yelled.
"I think I'm going to pass out!" Justin said with a dazed look.
Ash raised the Rainbow Badge in the air with a smile on his face as he was walking through the city with his friends.
And so, in the race of the Rainbow Badge, it's Ash by a nose. But most valuable of all, Ash has learned an important lesson. You can't judge a Pokémon by its smell.
Jovan, July, Seth, Anna, Slade and Dragonair walks behind their three friends, discussing about what happened last night in their low voices.
"So that voice you heard was Dragonair?" July asked.
"That's right." Jovan nodded. "I don't know."
"Maybe we'll find out about that in the near future." Slade suggested.
Standing on top of a building was Vaporeon and the mysterious hooded figure. "Those four kids powers are getting strong, Vaporeon." the mysterious hooded figure said.
"Vaporeon." Vaporeon nodded.
"They've been training well ever since their arrival." the mysterious hooded figure said. "We shall continue to keep an eye on them."
With that said, the mysterious hooded figure and Vaporeon disappeared.

Another chapter complete! Sorry for the wait everyone. I've decided to have my OC's battle against Erika while Ash is trying to get inside the Gym. Since Gloom's moves weren't shown in Ash's battle, I've put in Acid. It would be better for my OC's to battle Gloom that knows Acid.
Having five badges, my OC's have couple of transformations. I'll be putting in more transformations in later chapters before we head to the Pokémon League. I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and don't forget to leave a review!
