Moving On

Leaving Molyneaux by nightfall,

Thinking about what's come and passed,

Somehow I should have known

There was no way for it to last

And the tavern lights are dimming

As the cronies clink their last call

That's where we cheered, when life was good

What happened to it all?

I know now what I have to do

And where I need to go

The castle's bright, too ironically bright

Those inside, how can they know?

Do they know how much it hurts to leave?

How I can't bear to say goodbye?

And how it all was shattered

When off we saw him fly

Gaston has his eternal chase now

But won't catch his final prey

I can't stay here in Molyneaux

For I wouldn't know what to say

I'm a sidekick! That was me, it seems

And now I'm lost at sea

And I'll move on but keep dreaming,

'Bout what was, Gaston and me.
