The Training Transformation
Jovan opens his eyes, sat up and stretch before he yawned. He changes into his clothes and steps outside the tent. His friends were already up as Brock was making breakfast.
"Good morning, Brock." Jovan said.
"Good morning." Brock greeted him.
It's a beautiful day. I wonder what will happen today.
Jovan notice that Dragonair wasn't with them. "Hey Brock, where's Dragonair?" Jovan asks him.
"I haven't seen Dragonair this morning." Brock answers him.
"I'm going to go look for her." Jovan said.
Jovan told July, Anna, Seth and Slade that he's going to look for Dragonair. His sister and his three friends wanted to help and all five of them left the campsite.
Somewhere in the woods, Dragonair was sitting next to a lake. She was staring at her reflection in the water for a while. The Dragon Pokémon heard a noise and turns around to see Jovan and the others.
"There you are." Jovan said, walking up to her with Arcanine and Eevee. "We were worried about you."
"Nair." Dragonair apologized.
"I know you didn't meant to wander off." Jovan said.
"Dragonair." Dragonair said, nuzzling his cheek.
Before Jovan can anything else, his body began to glow. Jovan shrunk and his body became a shell. His arms and legs were short and his shell is brown on the top, pale yellow on the bottom, and has a thick white ridge between the two halves. But his skin was blue.
"Squirtle?" Jovan asked confused.
"Jovan..." Slade said. "You're a Squirtle. Look at your reflection."
Jovan walks up to the lake and looks down at his reflection.
"Squirtle!" Jovan gasps in surprised.
"Jovan transformed into a Squirtle." Anna said surprised.
"Hm." Slade said.
"What's on your mind, Slade?" July asks him.
"I was wondering how humans are transforming into Pokémon with different appearances." Slade wondered.
"Same here." Anna agreed.
Jovan looks across the lake and noticed the mysterious hooded figure and Vaporeon. "Squirtle!" Jovan shouted, getting everyone's attention.
They look across the lake and sees them. The mysterious hooded figure and Vaporeon walks around to the lake to the trainers. "So Jovan has transformed into a Squirtle." The mysterious hooded figure said. "Very interesting."
"Vaporeon." Vaporeon nodded.
"But what you doing here?" Anna wondered.
"I am here to give you all training when you transform into a Pokémon." The mysterious hooded figure answered.
"What is the training for?" July asked.
"The training is when you face that creature." The mysterious hooded figure said.
"I remember that creature." Anna said.
"It looked like some sort of dragon." Seth said.
"But we don't know what it's face looks like." Slade replied.
"That creature is getting stronger everyday." The mysterious hooded figure said. "I believe Team Neo is up to something."
Jovan transforms back into a human. "What do you guys think?" Jovan asks his sister and his friends.
"I say we should train if we ever run into that creature again." July said.
"The hooded figure and Vaporeon did help us a couple times." Anna replied.
"I don't have any intention on fighting you." The mysterious hooded figure said. "I only wish to help you."
"So what kind of training are we doing?" Jovan asks him.
"Battle training and the Pokémon you're going to transform." The mysterious hooded figure said. "It looks like you have a couple of transformations. I believe that you will have a few more transformations today."
"And what can I do to help?" Slade asked.
"You can help to watch their progress." The mysterious hood figure said. "My own Pokémon will help out as well." The mysterious hooded figure takes out a couple of Poké Balls and throws them in the air. Alakazam and Persian appeared out of the white light, standing next to Vaporeon.
"Alakazam." Alakazam said.
"Per." Persian said.
"Now," the mysterious hooded figure said, "You will be assign with the Pokémon that will help train you. Slade and I will help to give out pointers."
"How are we going to train if there's only four of us and three Pokémon?" Seth asked.
"Simple." The mysterious hooded figure said. "Jovan and July will train with Persian. Anna can train with Vaporeon and you can train with Alakazam, Seth."
"Is it alright if our Pokémon train with us too?" July asked.
"Yes." the mysterious hooded figure said.
"Let's make sure there is a lot of space for all of you." Slade said.
"I wouldn't worry about that." the mysterious hooded figure said. "We have the space we need."
Seth followed Alakazam on the other side of the lake as Anna followed Vaporeon. Jovan and July faces Persian with their Pokemon.
"Dragonair and I will go first since there is two of us." Jovan said.
"Okay then." July nodded her head.
Jovan transforms into Charmander and stood besides Dragonair.
"Are you ready, Master?" Dragonair asks him.
"Yes." Jovan answers her.
"Hah!" Persian shouted, rushing towards Jovan as he attempts to bite Jovan.
"Whoa!" Jovan shouted as he dodges to the right. A finger on each of Jovan's claws shine. He then try to slash the opponent, but Persian responded with his Slash as well. He easily pushes Jovan away.
Dragonair fired her BubbleBeam at Persian before the Classy Cat Pokémon can attack.
"Too slow!" Persian shouted as he dodges the attack. "Have a taste of my fury!" Persian repeatedly slashes Dragonair with his claws.
"Ahh!" Dragonair yelled in pain.
"Dragonair, switch out with Charmander!" Jovan yelled.
Dragonair nodded as she and Charmander switch places.
"Take this!" Charmander shouted, firing yellow stars from her mouth.
Persian stood his ground as he was attacked. He managed to avoid Jovan's Water Gun but was hit by Charmander's Flamethrower. "Hmph!" Persian grunted.
Jovan quickly transforms into his Charmander form and delivered a powerful punch to Persian. Persian was sent flying and lands on his paws.
"You learned a new move, Jovan!" July cheered.
"Nice Mega Punch." the mysterious hooded figure said.
"Chamander, switch out with Bulb!" Jovan ordered.
Charmander switch places with Bulb.
"Ha!" Persian yelled, firing a massive beam of yellow electricity from his body at Bulb.
"Argh!" She grunted in pain.
"Bulb, are okay?!" Jovan shouted, rushing to him.
"I'm fine." Bulb said, panting a bit. "That was a strong attack, even though it's not every effective."
"Here I come!" Persian shouted, rushing towards Jovan and Bulb in attempt to bite them.
Jovan's claws glowed white and slashes Persian on the side.
"Gr!" Persian grunted a bit, feeling the slash.
Jovan opens his mouth and fires a powerful stream of red-orange fire at Persian. Persian dodges the attack and tries to bite Jovan.
"Oh no you don't!" Bulb shouted, using his Vines to stop him in his tracks.
This allowed Jovan to jump in the air and kicks Persian. Then Jovan opens his mouth and fires yellow stars at him.
"Gah!" Persian yelled as he was sent flying to the ground.
Bulb fires a seed at Persian and he was quickly wrapped from the vines.
"Bulb, switch out with Arcanine!" Jovan shouted.
Bulb switch out as Arcanine quickly ran passed Jovan to Persian and bites him.
"Ah!" Persian grunted.
Arcanine opened his mouth and releases his FlameThrower at Persian. He fell sideways, using the flames to burn the vines.
Jovan transforms into Squirtle and releases a spiral of water at Persian.
"Oh!" the Classy Cat Pokémon yelled as he was hit by the water. "Not bad."
"Thanks." Jovan said. "Pidgeotto, you're up!"
Pidgeotto takes to the sky above them.
"Hey Jovan!" Slade called out to his friend and Jovan turns around to look at him. "You and your team have to match Persian's speed."
"Squirtle?" Jovan asks him.
"Match Persian's speed?" July repeated as Slade walks up to them.
"Yes." Slade replied. "In order to do that, you need to lower his speed stat and attack first."
"But the moves that can lower a speed stat is Buble and BubbleBeam." July said. "And Jovan just learned Water Gun as a Squirtle and Mega Punch as a Charmander."
"True." Slade nodded. "If Persian is distracted by something, Jovan can be able to attack much more quickly before Persian can attack."
Jovan looks at Pidgeotto and nodded before looking back at Persian. The Classy Cat Pokémon ran towards Jovan with a Slash attack.
"Oh no you don't!" Pidgeotto shouted, tackling into Persian.
"Gr!" Persian growled, getting up. "Not bad." Persian swipes at Pigeotto quickly.
"AH!" Pidgeotto yelled.
"Are you okay?" Jovan asked.
"I'm fine." Pidgeotto answered.
Jovan looks up at the sun and got an idea. "I have an idea." Jovan said.
"What is he doing?" July wondered. She watches Pidgeotto picks Jovan up and flew high towards the sky.
Persian looks up in the sky to see Jovan and Pidgeotto diving towards him fast, but the sun's light made it difficult for him to see. "This light is making it difficult for me to attack!" Persian shouted.
"Now!" Jovan shouted.
Pidgeotto releases Jovan as he fall in the air. Jovan punches Persian with great force.
"Gah!" Persian yelled.
Jovan landed on the ground as Pidgeotto lands next to him.
"Not bad, Jovan." Persian said as he shakes the pain off. "That was an excellent strategy you pulled."
"Thank you." Jovan said.
Over with Anna, Vul and Vaporeon, Anna and Vul was doing their best to avoid Vaporeon's Hydro Pump. Anna was in her Ninetails form and she quickly digs underground.
"Ha!" Vul shouted, jumping into the air to wave her tails for yellow stars to appear and fires them at Vaporeon.
Vaporeon did the same thing as well. Both attacks exploded and the ground underneath Vaporeon bursts open, allowing Anna to send Vaporeon flying.
"Oof!" Vaporeon grunted. She opens her mouth and fires a powerful jet of water.
Anna's body glows white and she creates multiple copies of herself. The hydro pump hits the fake copies.
"Take this!" Vul shouted, slamming into Vaporeon with great force.
"Ngh!" Vaporeon grunted. She lands on the ground and summons a wave behind her.
"That's Surf!" Anna gasps in shock. Before she can do anything, her body begans to glow. Her skin changed to yellow fur with a spiky fringe around her tail and a white ruff around her neck as her eight other tails disappeared. Her ears are large and pointed with black interiors, and her eyes and small nose are black. Her legs became slender and have small paws, each with three toes and a pink paw pad.
"How shocking." Slade said with a chuckle.
Anna charges at Vul with great speed as she picks Vul up and leaps on a branch. Anna sets Vul down before releasing a powerful cyclone of yellow electricity from her body at Vaporeon.
"Argh!" Vaporeon screams, getting electrocuted.
"Anna, you transformed into a Jolteon." Vul said, jumping in excitement. "You also learned Quick Attack and Thunder Shock."
"This is shocking." Anna said in amazement, looking at her body.
Vaporeon jumps in the air and tries to slam Anna with great force. Anna jumps in the air and kicks Vaporeon twice.
"Double Kick and Body Slam." Slade said. "Not bad."
"Vul, switch out with Rose." Anna said.
Vul jumps down from the branch and runs over to the other Pokémon. Rose gallops towards Vaporeon.
"Take this!" Rose shouted, opening her mouth and releases a stream of spinning red-orange fire at Vaporeon.
"What?!" Vaporeon shouted as she was trapped in the fire.
"Rose, switch out with Pidgeotto!" Anna shouted.
Pidgeotto flew past Rose as she flew above the Bubble Jet Pokémon. Vaporeon used Hydro Pump at Pidgeotto. She quickly dodges the attack with Quick Attack and flew in front of Vaporeon. She flaps her wings and sand is spewed up at Vaporeon.
"Gr." Vaporeon grunted a bit, trying to rub the sand off her eyes.
"Switch places with Seel!" Anna shouted.
"Got it." Pidgeotto nodded as she flew back to the other Pokémon.
Seel jumps in the air and lands on Vaporeon with great force.
"You're up, Lee!" Anna shouted.
Lee quickly ran past Seel, jumps into the air and strikes Vaporeon with his knee. Vaporeon was sent flying out of the wall of fire. She got the sand out of her eyes and sees Anna dashing towards her.
"Ha!" Vaporeon shouted, firing a powerful jet of water from her mouth.
Anna dodge the attack using Quick Attack and slams into Vaporeon.
"Ngh!" Vaporeon grunted.
"Seel, switch with Wag!" Anna shouted.
Seel flops back to the other Pokémon as Wag ran by.
"Try this!" Poliwag slaps Vaporeon many times with his tail.
"Ow ow!" Vaporeon shouted. The Bubble Jet Pokémon shook it off. "Not bad."
"Thanks." Anna said.
Over with Seth and his Pokémon, Seth was in his Nidoking form. Raticate quickly tackles into Alakazam as Seth tries to slam Alakazam.
"Hmph!" Alakazam shouted as he crosses his spoons and he becomes surrounded in a blue aura. Seth then becomes frozen and under Alakazam's control.
"Nargh!" Seth shouted in pain as he was sent flying. He landed on the ground hard and got back up.
"Are you alright?" Raticate asks him.
"I'm fine." Seth answered. "But that move hurts."
"That is because Poison Types are weak against Psychic Types." Alakazam explains to Seth, walking up to them. "For example, Bug Types are weak against Fire Types and Fire Types are weak against Water Types. But even if a Pokémon is weak against its own type, the outcome can change with another move."
"Another move?" Seth asked.
"Correct." Alakazam answered.
"Hm." Seth said.
Alakazam teleports several feet away from him. Alakazam crosses its spoons and it becomes surrounded in a blue aura. Seth opens his mouth and fires multiple bubbles at Alakazam.
"Hmph!" Alakazam grunted as he was hit from the attack. He didn't get a chance to attack back as Raticate tackles into him using Quick Attack.
"Seth has learned Rock Slide and Bubblebeam!" Slade smiled. "That's three moves."
"Raticate, switch out with Pidgeotto!" Seth commanded.
Raticate nodded as he ran back to the other Pokémon as Pidgeotto flew above.
"Use Sand Attack!" Seth ordered.
Pidgeotto lands in front of Alakazam and tried to throw the sand in his eyes. Alakazam stops him by using Psychic. "Gotcha." Pidgeotto smirks.
"Huh?" Alakazam asked confused. He felt the ground shake beneath him and the ground exploded as Sandslew bursts from the ground to send Alakazam flying.
Doduo jumps in the air above Alakazam and lands on him. He brought his heads towards Alakazam with his beaks spinning fast and stabbing him.
"Gah!" Alakazam grunted in pain as he hits the ground.
Seth quickly transforms into Sandslash as he rolls into a ball and spins, firing white stars out of his quills at Alakazam.
"That was Swift!" Slade smiled. Then he notice Seth was covered in white light. The white light died down as the light revealed Seth as a Geodude. Seth tackles into Alakazam.
"Hmph!" Alakazam grunted as he crosses both of his arms to block the attack. "You transformed into Geodude. Impressive."
"Thanks." Seth said.
July was in her Golduck form as she and Eevee were fighting Persian.
"Ha!" Eevee shouted, firing yellow stars from her tail.
Persian slashes the stars in half, causing them to explode. July appears from the smoke with her mouth open and releases a spiral of water from her bill at the Classy Cat Pokémon.
"Whoa!" Persian shouted as he got soaked.
"Eevee, switch out with Chan!" July ordered.
Eevee runs back to the Pokémon as Chan run passed her. Persian tries to slash Chan but Chan blocks the attack with his gloves.
"Huh?" July asks confused. She feels her body beginning to change as her body was covered in a bright light. The died down, revealing July as a Meowth. She scratches Persian before she slashed him.
"Gr!" Persian shouted, slashing repeatedly to counter back.
July responded by using the same attack as Persian.
"You're wide open!" Chan shouted, delivering a powerful force to Persian's side.
"Gah!" Persian grunted.
"Chan, switch out with Pidgeotto!" July ordered.
Chan nodded as he runs back to the other Pokémon as Pidgeotto flies above her opponent. She begins flapping her wings fast to create miniature tornado. Persian was sent flying in the air. July jumps in the air and slash repeatedly at Persian.
"Tch!" Persian grunted a bit as he lands on his paws. "I'm surprised you transformed into a Meowth."
"Thanks." July said. "Pidgeotto, switch out with Nido."
Pidgeotto nod her head as Nido ran up to July.
"Use Double Kick!" July ordered.
Nido jumps into the air, flips around twice, and shoots at the opponent with her foot extended.
"Gah!" Persian grunted in pain as he was sent flying. "Take this!" He slashes her from behind her back.
"Ah!" Nido yells in pain.
"That was a critical hit!" Eevee yelled.
"Heh." Persian chuckled before he can delivered the final blow.
"I won't let you win!" Nido shouted. Her body began to glow brightly. As the light died down, a new Pokémon appeared. It was a quadruped, light blue Pokémon with darker blue patches. It has red eyes, large, spiny ears, and has two pointed teeth protruding from its upper jaw. It possesses large poison spikes, which it retracts whenever it is with a group or while resting in its burrow. Its paws have three claws each, and it is able to stand on its hind legs. The hind legs are longer and thicker than its forelegs. It has a stubby tail.
"What?!" July gasps.
Slade walks over and gasps. "Nido evolved into Nidorina!"
"Take this!" Nido shouted, releasing yellow lighting bolts at Persian.
"Yeowch!" Persian shouted, getting electrocuted.
"Nice." July smiled. "You evolved!"
"Heh." Nido chuckled.
"Seabisciut, you're up!" July shouted.
Seabiscuit jumps into the lake.
"Use Water Gun!"
Seabiscuit fires a spiral of water at Persian. The Classy Cat Pokémon dodges the attack. He slashes Seabisuit repeatedly with his claws.
"Use Agility to get away then use Smokescreen!"
Seabiscuit swam fast and releases purple ink from his mouth. The ink landed on Persian's face.
"Now, Slyther, use Quick Attack!" July ordered.
"Hmph." Slyther said. The Mantis Pokémon ignored her and use Slash. Persican dodges the attack backwards and slashes Slyther.
"Ngh." Slyther grunted.
July transforms into Scyther. She quickly flew in front of Slyther. "Slyther, we have to work together." July said to her.
"Tch." Slyther responded. "Fine."
"Use Slash!"
Slyther nodded and flew towards Persian. Both Pokémon attacks collided. July quickly changes into Gyarados and jumps into the water. A blue ball forms in front of her mouth. Then, multiple light blue beams fires at Persian, freezing him.
"Hmph!" Slyther shouted as she flies backwards.
"Nice Ice Beam attack, July!" Eevee called up to July.
"Thank you." July said.
The others all walks up to them. Persian broke free of the ice.
"Br!" Persian complained, shaking the ice off his fur.
"We'll be taking a break now." The mysterious hooded figure said.
"That reminds me." Jovan said. "Ash and the others are probably wondering where we right now."
"Not to worry." The mysterious hooded figure said. "I already went ahead and told your friends that all of you will be doing some special training."
"What about breakfast?" Jovan asked.
"I assumed that all of you had breakfast so I brought some supplies from your camp." the mysterious hooded figure said.
Alakazam crosses his spoons and he becomes surrounded in a blue aura. Coming out of the bushes was table, a cloth, several plates, cups, utensils and the food Brock made. Everyone setup the table before setting the food down. The trainers put the bowls of food down on the grass for their Pokémon.
"Eevee." Eevee said happily as she was eating her food. She notices that Dragonair wasn't eating. "Vee?" she asks Dragonair.
"Nair." Dragonair gasps. She looks down at Eevee.
"Ee Vee Eev?" Eevee asks Dragonair, wondering if she was going to eat.
"Dragon." Dragonair nodded her head. She slowly eats her food.
"It looks like that we have some new forms and new moves." July smiled, taking a bit of her scramble egg.
"We'll have to give everything we got when we see that creature again." Jovan said.
"I agree." Seth said. "The more we train, the better we can beat it."
"Hm?" Anna wondered. She notices Dragonair backing away from her food slithers up to the lake.
"Dragonair, what's wrong?" Jovan asks her as he walks up to her.
"Maybe she's feeling sick." Anna suggested.
"I'll check." Slade said, stepping away from the table. Dragonair lowers her head as Slade places the back of his hand on her forehead. "Dragonair is fine and healthy."
"I'm guessing that Dragonair really wants to defeat that creature." Anna smiled.
"Don't worry, Dragonair." Jovan comforted her. "We'll defeat that creature. Together."
Dragonair turns to her left to look at him. "Nair." Dragonair smiled.
"Seeing you happy makes us all happy." Anna said, walking up to them. Somehow, Anna trips and bumps into Jovan. The two of them fell in the water of the shallow.
July looks over her to see them wet. "Heh heh." July chuckled. "Wow Jovan. I didn't know how much you really like Anna."
"I think one of them will confess their feelings for each other." Slade joked.
"This brings a tear to my eyes." Seth said in between chuckles.
"It's not what you think!" Jovan and Anna yelled, their faces turning red.
After training for a whole day, Jovan and his friends were heading back to camp after the mysterious hooded figure disappeared once again. They'll be training as they go on their journey. Jovan and his friends will be ready when they that creature again.

I'm glad that this chapter is done. The mysterious hooded figure gives them special training and no one knows why humans are transforming into colored Pokémon. This remains a mystery. I decided that my OCs should have new transformations and new moves. This chapter takes place after the banned episode "The Legend Of Dratini" and before episode thirty six. I know there is a English sub video online but I decided to go with my idea.
