Pikachu's Goodbye! The Reunion!
Our hero, Ash, along with his friends, Misty, Brock, Jovan, July, Anna, Seth and Slade, continue on his quest to become a Pokémon Master. Tired from their adventures, they decided to take a break in a quiet forest.
It was a gorgeous day in the forest. Pikachu was on branch eating a small red berry. Brock and Misty was relaxing underneath the shade of the trees. Anna watches Jovan and Dragonair train as Jovan was in his black Dragonite form. Seth and Slade sat several feet away underneath a tree talking low, looking at the maps. July and Eevee were splashing the water at each other playfully.
"What do you think?" Slade asks Seth.
"Hm." Seth said, looking at the map of Kanto. "Jovan, July, Anna and myself ended up in two different locations where the portal drops us. We met up with you in Viridian Forest and started traveling together." He picks up another map that has different paths and cities.
"Not to mention we met others from our world as well." Slade added. "And the rest of you can turn into Pokémon."
"Right." Seth nodded. "And along the way, there's this organization called Team Neo and this creature."
"Do you think Team Neo has something to with everything that's been going on?" Slade continues to ask him.
"Maybe." Seth replied. "We've seen that they join forces with Team Rocket and they own that Pokémon."
"It's not listed in the PokéDex." Slade said. "How did they created it in the first place?"
"Jovan said that they're looking for something." Seth replied. "I don't know what they're looking for."
"I hope Maria and the others are safe." Slade said.
Jovan crosses his arms to block Dragonair's Bubblebeam. He responded by using Dragon Rage. But Dragonair dodges the attack as she flew above it and lands behind Jovan and hits him with her Ice Beam. "Gah!" Jovan screamed as he became frozen solid.
"Not bad, Jovan." Anna said, walking up to her frozen friend.
Jovan broke the ice and transforms back into his human form. "Man, that's cold." Jovan shivered.
"I'll make you a hot drink." Anna said with a smile.
"I think you're the only one who can melt his cold heart, Anna." July joked as Jovan and Anna walks past her.
"July!" Jovan shouted, his face turning red.
"Nair." Dragonair chuckled.
Ash was laying on the ground with a red mark on his face as Pikachu was wondering if he was okay. Then he heard the bushes rustle and sees another Pikachu. This Pikachu was small.
"Pi?" the small Pikachu wondered, staring at Pikachu.
"Pika!" Pikachu greeted.
"Pi!" the small Pikachu squeak, running away.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked confused. "Pikachu?" Pikachu ran after it.
"Huh? Ash stands up and turns around to see Pikachu running. "Pikachu?"
Everyone runs to find out where Pikachu is going after they grab their stuff.
"Where are you going, Pikachu?" Ash called out to him.
"Any idea where Pikachu is going?" July wondered.
Jovan didn't answer as he notice Pikachu stops running. Everyone gasps. There was a small field of other Pikachu.
"Wow." Jovan smiled.
"Look at all the Pikachu." Misty said.
"Pika." Pikachu smiled happily.
The Pikachu were relaxing in the sun while several Pikachu were eating an apple.
"These must be wild Pikachu." Seth said.
"I've never seen so many Pikachu in one place." Misty said.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said, happily running out of his hiding spot.
"Pika." a Pikachu ears perk up and turns around notice Pikachu. The other Pikachu stops and looks at Pikachu.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked confused as he stops running. "Pika?"
All of the Pikachu were staring at the strange Pikachu. The small Pikachu looks at him.
"Pika!" Pikachu greeted.
"Pika!" the Pikachu shouted at the others.
All the Pikachu ran away from the strange Pikachu several feet away.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked confused. "Pika? Pikachu." Pikachu said sadly.
The small Pikachu notice Pikachu was sad and it runs up to him.
"Pika!"
"Cha Chu!"
The small Pikachu stops in front of Pikachu.
"Pi?" the small Pikachu asked.
"Pi?"
All of the Pikachu gasps as the trainers watches from behind the bushes. The small Pikachu sniffs Pikachu. "Pika?" the small Pikachu asks with a smile. It stuck its tail out. "Pi?"
"Pi." Pikachu said, looking at it before smiling. "Pikachu!"
The two Pikachu shakes each others tail together. All of the Pikachu looks at each other before looking back at Pikachu. "Pikachu!" All the Pikachu ran up to Pikachu.
"Looks like they accepted Pikachu as part of their group." Brock said.
"All right." Ash smiled as he steps out of the bushes.
"Ash, wait!" Jovan called out to Ash.
"Hey!" Ash shouted, running towards them as waved his arms back and forth. All the Pikachu notices Ash. "I want to be part of your group too!"
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu exclaims.
But all the Pikachu were scared and runs away from them. Ash stops running and looks confused as the Pikachu ran away.
"Cha." Pikachu said sadly.
Ash walks up besides Pikachu. "Hey, don't run away." Ash calls out to them.
"Quit it, Ash." Misty said as they walks up to them.
Ash turns around to look at his friends. "But why?" Ash asked.
"Don't you understand?" Brock asks him. "Those Pikachu are scared of you, Ash."
Everyone heads back to the river and sat down. Ash was sitting on a stump as Pikachu sat behind him. Brock and Misty were sitting across from them as their other friends were sitting on the grass.
"I'm sorry, Pikachu." Ash apologizes to Pikachu.
"Pi." Pikachu said, looking over at Ash.
Ash turns his attention to his friends. "But why would those Pikachu be afraid of me?" Ash wondered. "I wouldn't do anything to hurt them."
"I think they never had much contact with humans before." Anna said.
"I agree." Seth said. "There's not many people traveling this far deep in the forest."
"This place must be perfect for those Pikachu." Misty smiled.
"You mean like a Pikachu Paradise?" Ash suggested.
"I'd hate to do anything to disturb those Pikachu." Brock said.
"Same here." Misty agreed.
But then they heard somebody screaming and landed in the water.
"Pika!" Pikachu stands up faster than the others.
They notice the small Pikachu floating down the river passed them.
"It's one of those Pikachu!" Jovan exclaims.
"Hurry!" Slade shouted.
"Pika!" the small Pikachu cried out for help. "Pika! Pika!"
Everyone was running on the path.
"Pika!" Pikachu called out to it. "Pikachu!"
"Ash, we have to try to save it!" Brock shouted at Ash.
"Hurry!" Anna yelled. "It's headed to the waterfall!"
"Pika!" it cried out. "Pika! Pika!"
"Pi." Pikachu said, running much more faster. He ran up a tree trunk. "Pikachu!" Pikachu shouted as he jumps into the raging river.
Brock and Misty gasps.
"Pikachu!" Ash shouted.
Pikachu swam to the small Pikachu and grabs it. He tries to swim to land but the current was too strong. As the two Pikachu was heading to the waterfall, another Pikachu jumps out from the bushes.
"Pika!" it cried.
The other Pikachu appeared from the bushes. Several of them jumps off a branch by grabbing their tails. The Pikachu grabs the two Pikachu before they went over the waterfall. Everyone stops as they the Pikachu.
"Pika!" the first Pikachu ordered, turning its head around.
As the Pikachu was pulling them back in, Dragonair turns around and notice another Pokémon that was injured floating towards them. "Nair!" Dragonair shouted.
Jovan turns around and sees the injured Pokémon. The injured Pokémon was another Dragonair. "Save it, Dragonair!" Jovan shouted.
"Nair!" Dragonair shouted as she dives into the water. She swam towards the second Dragonair and wraps her tail around it. Jovan rushes to them as Dragonair pulled out the other Dragonair out of the river.
Half an hour later, Pikachu was laying on small pile of leaves as all the other Pikachu was worried. Ash, Brock and Misty was standing several feet away. Ash wanted to help, but Brock puts a hand on his shoulder, preventing his friend.
The small Pikachu from before pressed its cheeks on Pikachu's cheek and used electricity to wake him up. "Pi." it said.
Pikachu's ears twitch before he opens his eyes. "Pi..." Pikachu murmured before sitting up straight. "Pika?"
"Pi! Pi!" the small Pikachu smiled.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked confused, turning his head to the right.
"Pika?" the small Pikachu asked, picking up a red apple to offer.
"Pika." Pikachu smiled as he grabs the apple. "Pikachu."
"Pika!" The wild Pikachu exclaims in excitement. They run up to Pikachu and lifted Pikachu with their tails. "Pika! Pika!" they chanted.
Ash, Brock and Misty smiled.
Seth and his friends were several more feet behind the three trainers. The other Dragonair that was rescued was laying down on the grass. Anna and July was sitting on the ground as Seth finished treating its injuries.
"Is it okay?" Slade asks him.
"It should be okay after having a good rest." Seth answers him.
All of a sudden, the other Dragonair slowly open its eyes. It looks up and notices Dragonair. "Nair?" the Dragonair asks Dragonair. "Dragon Nair?"
"Nair." Dragonair answered, nodding her head.
The Dragonair got up quickly and the two Dragonair rubs each other.
"Looks like the Dragonair is healthy." July smiled.
Jovan stands up next to his Dragonair. "How are you feeling?" Jovan asks the Dragonair.
"Dragonair." the Dragonair answered.
"Dragonair." Dragonair said to Jovan.
Jovan looks at her. "What is it?" Jovan asks Dragonair.
"I think Dragonair wants you to transform." Slade wondered.
"Sure." Jovan answered. He transforms into his black Dragonite. Arcanine, Vul and Eevee walks up to them.
"Jovan, this is my friend, Ophelia." Dragonair said.
"It's nice to meet you." Jovan said.
"Same as you." Ophelia replied.
"How did you get injured?" Dragonair asks her.
Ophelia looks at Dragonair. "It was some sort of armored dragon." Ophelia answered.
"Armored Dragon?" Dragonair repeated. "Jovan, his friends and I encountered it as well."
"When?"
"Several days ago." Dragonair answered. "We tried to defeat it, but it got away."
"Hm." Ophelia said before looking at the other humans. "Who are they?"
"They're friends of mine." Dragonair said.
"Why don't you say hello?" Jovan suggested. He turns around and nodded his head as his friends transformed.
"Hello." Ophelia said to July, Anna and Seth.
"I'm July." July said.
"My name is Anna."
"You can call me Seth."
"They're Pokémon Trainers who can transform into colored Pokémon." Dragonair said to her friend.
"I'm impressed." Ophelia said.
"Come on." Jovan said. "I'll introduce you to our other friends too."
After introducing Ophelia, Seth was making sure the fire was still going as Anna and July was getting the plates. Jovan and Slade were sitting near the fire while Brock went to get Ash and Misty. He came back with Ash and Misty. Everyone grabs their food and ate.
"That was delicious, Brock." Anna thanks him.
Brock chuckles. "What can I say?" Brock smiled. "I'm a great cook."
"Maybe it's because the vegetables around here are so tasty." Misty said. "What do you think, Ash?" She turns head to look at him to answer, but Ash didn't say anything. "Hey Ash." Misty said to him.
Ash snaps out of his thoughts and looks at her.
"Ash, what's wrong?" Misty asks him. "Is something bothering you?"
"You looks so good." Brock agreed. "Do you feel okay?"
"Never felt better." Ash smiled. "Everything's fine." He eats a piece of meat.
Brock and Misty looks at each other worried before looking back at him.
After dinner, Brock and Misty went to sleep. Ash, Jovan, July, Anna, Seth, Arcanine, Eevee and Vul were the only ones up. Ash was in deep silence, staring into the fire. Jovan was looking up the night sky, thinking about their world.
"What's on your mind, Jovan?" his sister asks him.
Jovan looks at her. "I was just thinking about our world." Jovan answered.
"It's been several months since we came here." Slade said.
"True." Anna agreed. "After going through a portal and ending up here, we've been to many different places in the Kanto Region and there are still more to see."
"But there are still things we don't understand." Seth pointed out. "Why did we end up here in the Pokémon World? Why can we change into Pokémon? And who is the mysterious hooded figure?"
"Your guess is good as ours." Jovan said.
"We'll talk about this tomorrow." July said.
Dragonair and Ophelia were flying through the forest. They found a small clearing and landed.
"You know, this reminds me about the time we had to race to get an apple." Dragonair said.
"And you beat me." Ophelia said.
"We had a lot of fun when we were Dratini." Dragonair said.
"Good times." Ophelia said. "So Dragonair, what's the plan?"
"The plan is to train and get stronger so I can challenge the people who took our home away." Dragonair said.
"So how did you, Arcanine, Eevee and Vul meet Jovan and his friends?" Ophelia asks Dragonair.
"We've met them on the outskirts of Pallet Town when we were getting attacked by a Beedrill." Dragonair explains to her friend. "Jovan and his sister, July, saved us and carried us to a Pokémon Research Lab where we met Ash, Pikachu and Professor Oak. We left Pallet Town and got chased by a flock of Spearow."
"What happened after that?"
"Pikachu defeated the flock of Spearow and we've seen a Pokémon that I have never seen before." Dragonair answered. "Then our journey began after that."
"You must have been through a lot these past few months with these trainers." Ophelia said. "So what are your plans after you defeat the people who took our home? Are you going to stay with your friends or us?"
Before Dragonair can answer, she can hear the bushes rustling behind her and turns around to see Jovan standing behind them in his Dragonite form.
"Dragonair, some people took your home?" Jovan asks her.
Dragonair lets out a sigh. "Yes." Dragonair replied. "Some people took my home away."
"But why?" Jovan asked.
"I don't know why." Dragonair answers him. "All I know is that our home has been taken away from me."
"Do you miss your family?"
"I do." Dragonair said. "When I find out the ones who took our home, they'll regret it."
"Then we'll help you." Jovan smiled. "You can count on it."
"Jovan..." Dragonair said.
All of a sudden they can hear multiple voices crying out in the forest.
"What was that?" Jovan wondered.
"Let's go!" Dragonair exclaims.
All of them heads towards the field and notice all the Pikachu is trapped inside a net.
"They're trap!" Brock exclaims.
"Who would've done this?" Misty wonders.
"Pikachu." Ash called out. "Pikachu!
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu called from the top of the net with small Pikachu. "Pikachu!"
All of a sudden, the field was lit up.
"Gah!" Jovan shouted, covering his eyes. "Who's there?!"
Then everyone heard a couple of voices.
"Prepare for trouble!"
"Make it double!"
"Those voices." Misty groans.
Jessie and James laughed
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evil of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!" Jessie steps out from behind the tree.
"James!" James did the same thine as well.
Libby and Sam walks out from behind the tree with Justin.
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light."
"Surrender now or prepare to fight."
"Meowth!" Meowth cheered jumping from branch above as Team Rocket jumps off the branch and lands on the ground.
"Team Rocket!" they all growled.
"We'd like to thank all of our fans for their loyalty and support." James said. "This victory is for them."
"And now you're about to witness Team Rocket and Team Neo's finest performance." Jessie smiled.
"Knock it off with the speeches." Justin interrupted them before his friends can go on. "And let's grab the Pikachu!"
"I don't think so." Anna smirked. She looks over at the captured wild Pikachu. "Break the ropes with your electric shock attack, Pikachu."
"Pi." Pikachu nodded. He shocks the rope and the rope wasn't destroyed.
"Ha ha ha!" Meowth laughed.
"They're no match for our new Pikachu-insulated seizure net." James said.
"This has been made from environmentally-safe material that absorbs electricity." Libby explains.
"Gr." Seth growled.
"Let the Pikachu go now!" Ash shouted at Team Rocket and Team Neo.
"Nah!" Sam teased, sticking out his tongue.
"We have to save the Pikachu." Ash said to Brock and Misty. The three of them began to charge at Team Rocket and Team Neo.
"Why don't you check out a website?" James snickered, taking out a rpg. He fires a net at everyone.
Jovan, Dragonair and Ophelia dodges the net.
"Nair!" Dragonair snarls at the villains.
"Time to make our exit." Jessie said to her friends.
Team Rocket and Team Neo quickly ran towards the Meowth Balloon and the balloon lifted into the air.
"Pika!" All the Pikachu was screaming.
"No!" Jovan yelled.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu shouted.
"Ha ha ha!" Team Rocket and Team Neo laughed.
Ash's Pikachu began gnawing the ropes and several other Pikachu began to gnaw the ropes.
"Now this is what it feels like to be on top." Libby sighed.
"We have a problem over here!" Justin called to them.
Jessie and James walks over to Meowth. They notice all the Pikachu was gnawing their way through.
"Come on." Jovan said to Dragonair and Ophelia. "Let's free the others."
The rope cuts open.
"Pika!" Pikachu smiled. He exits and climbs the net towards Team Rocket and Team Neo.
Jovan, Dragonair and Ophelia threw the net off of their friends.
"All right, we're free." Ash said as he got out of the net. He looks up at the balloon. "Watch out, Team Rocket and Team Neo."
"Let's use the net for the Pikachu to land safely." Seth said to them.
"Right." Brock said.
Ash, Misty and Brock grabs the net and ran a couple of feet as they were underneath the captured Pikachu.
"Hurry!" Anna shouted.
"You can jump on the net!" July called.
Jovan, Dragonair and Ophelia flew above them. The three of them kept their eye on all the Pikachu that jumps from the net and landed on the other net for safety. The net was empty and there was no more Pikachu in the net.
"AH!" Jessie yelled in shocked as she looks down and see all the Pikachu escaped.
"Huh?" James and Meowth wondered, looking down.
"You got to be kidding me." Justin groaned.
"But wait." Jessie said, looking above. "There's one Pikachu left."
Pikachu was standing above them in front of the control.
"Get it!" Libby shouted.
Jessie, James and Meowth lunges at Pikachu, but Pikachu jumps out of the way as Team Rocket hit their faces on the wheel. The wheel fell off, making the fire to inflate the balloon more.
Pikachu was running up the balloon and stops. He bites the balloon to make a hole and Pikachu was blown off the balloon.
Team Rocket gasps in shocked.
"Uh oh..." Justin muttered.
The balloon began to fly away fast.
"Looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!"
Ash ran a few feet ahead. "Pikachu!" Ash called happily as he stops and spreads his arms wide.
"Pika, Pi!" Pikachu cried happily.
Ash caught Pikachu in his arms, laughing. "You did it, Pikachu!" Ash smiled, lifting Pikachu.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu smiled.
Everyone stares at Ash and Pikachu, smiling.
"Pika Pika!" Pikachu exclaims happily. "Pika! Pi?" Pikachu notices the other Pikachu. "Pi! Pikachu!" Pikachu jumps out of Ash's hands and runs up to the group of Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" Ash called out to him.
Pikachu walks up to the smaller Pikachu. "Pika Pi." Pikachu said to the small Pikachu.
The other Pikachu surrounds them and Pikachu looks at them.
"Pikachu! Pikachu! Pikachu!" they all cheered.
Ash gasps as he was looking at the Pikachu. The words of Misty and Brock echoed in his mind. Pikachu will be happy with his own kind. Ash lowered his head and smiled.
"They made it all back safely." Misty said.
"Yeah." Brock said. "Ash trained Pikachu really well."
"You did a great job, Ash." Misty said to him as she and Brock looks at Ash.
But Ash turns his back to them and walks away.
"Huh?" they both wondered.
"Ash?" Brock calls to his friend.
"Where are you going, Ash?" Misty called to Ash.
Ash didn't answered as he continues walking away. Brock and Misty looks at each other and ran to catch up to Ash. As Misty and Brock went back to camp, the others were already back at camp except for Dragonair.
She was thinking about what Alakazam said that night. "What will you do after that? Will you leave Jovan or will you stay with him?" Dragonair wasn't sure. She, Vul and Arcanine had traveled with Jovan and their friends for the past few months.
"There you are." Jovan said as he was in Dragonite form, walking up to her. "Is everything okay?"
"I was just thinking about what happened these past few months." Dragonair answered.
"It has been crazy." Jovan said. "Dragonair, Ash decided to leave Pikachu here in the forest with the other Pikachu."
"What?" Dragonair gasps.
"We have to find Ash." Jovan said.
Dragonair nodded and the two of them took off into the air. It took the two of them for awhile as the morning sun was coming up. They spotted Pikachu standing on a hill as the others were standing several feet away. Jovan and Dragonair landed next to Anna and Jovan tranforms back into his human form.
"Cha." Pikachu squeaks happily.
"Pi... Pikachu!" Ash exclaims.
The other Pikachu appeared behind Pikachu. No one said anything. Pikachu turns around and notice the small Pikachu coming up to him.
"Pi." the small Pikachu said. "Pi, Pikachu." It raises a paw.
"Pi." Pikachu said. "Pika Pika." The two Pikachu turns around and shakes tails.
"Pikachu!" the wild Pikachu cheered.
"Pi?" "Pikachu looks at them.
"Pikachu! Pikachu! Pikachu!" the Pikachu cheered.
"What do you think they're doing?" Misty wondered.
"They might be cheering." Seth said. Everyone looks at him. "For Ash and for Pikachu."
Ash looks back at the Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu thanks them before he turns around and runs toward Ash.
Ash smiled.
"Pika, Pi!" Pikachu called as he jumps to Ash.
"Pikachu!" Ash called out to Pikachu. He caught Pikachu in his arms and knelt down. "Ha ha ha!"
"Cha!" Pikachu squeaks happily, rubbing Ash's cheek.
"Pikachu! Pikachu! Pikachu!" the wild Pikachu cheered.
Brock and Misty smiled as tears were rolling down Ash's face.
Ophelia looks at Dragonair. "Nair Dragonair." she said to her.
"Nair." Dragonair nodded.
Jovan looks at them. "You're leaving Ophelia?" He asks her.
"Dragonair." Ophelia nodded.
"You be safe, okay?" Jovan smiled.
Ophelia nods her head and takes off into the air. She circles above them and flew off.
Another adventure has brought Ash and Pikachu even closer. In their hearts, they know they'll face every challenge together. And what will Dragonair's decision be?
