The Song Of Jigglypuff
Ash's quest to become a Pokémon Master has brought them to a vast desert.
It clear night as they were walking through the desert and they were tired.
"Where is this town you mentioned, Brock?" Ash asked Brock.
"I just hope we don't camp out here in the desert." Anna said.
"Vee." Eevee said, walking besides July.
As they were walking towards the top of a hill, Jovan notices some lights. They made it to the top of the hill and can see a shining city.
"There's the town you guys!" Jovan smiled.
They entered the city.
"The lights are pretty." Anna said.
"Welcome to Neo Town." Seth smiled as they walked around. "People love coming here because the town is open all day and all night."
"So it never closes." Anna said, looking at him.
"Right." Seth said.
As they were walking, Ash and another person bumps into each other.
"Hey, where you going, jerk!" a teenage boy snapped at him.
"You watch it!" Ash exclaims angrily, pointing a finger. "You're the one who bump into me."
Ash and the teenage boy growls as they stare at each other.
Brock walks up to Ash and leans in. "Ash, apologize to him." he whispered.
"He should apologize!" Ash raises his voice. "He bumped into me!"
A siren went off as Officer Jenny rides her motorcycle and stops in front of them. She gets off her and stands in between them, making the two boys to give some room.
"Alright, break it up." Jenny said. "There's no fighting here."
"That little runt is not worth it." the teenage boy snarls, walking away.
Jenny places her hands on hips as she looks at Ash. "You kids shouldn't be walking out here at night." Jenny said angrily.
"Sorry about that, officer." Jovan said, walking up to Ash's side to look at Jenny. "We've just arrived in town tonight."
"Then you should find yourselves a motel." Jenny said. "People out here are pretty short tempered."
"How come?" Jovan wondered.
"They're on edge." Jenny growled. "They stay out all night and don't get enough sleep. You kids should go to a hotel. Get a good night's rest and mind your business." Jenny gasps when she heard another argument. "There's another one!" she hops on her motorcycle and speeds off.
"Seems like she was on edge too." Anna said.
Team Rocket and Team Neo were walking in the town too. As his team was walking, Justin stops and looks at the lights around him.
"I'll show you." Justin thought, clenching his fist. He didn't even notice Libby and Sam was looking at him as the three of them didn't notice Jessie and James getting beaten and slapped while Meowth stood there scared.
The trainers found a nice hotel. Jovan, July and Anna were sitting down on a blue couch in the lobby as Brock was talking to the hotel receptionist while Ash, Misty and Pikachu was looking at the bakery in the dinning area. Seth and Slade were looking through the windows as Dragonair was sitting next to Jovan at the edge of the couch and Eevee was sitting on July's lap.
"These cranky people reminds me about New York City when we had that trip with you Jovan." Seth said, turning around to look at Jovan.
"Oh yeah." Jovan smiled. "It was great spending time up there with the New Yorkers for the week."
"I won't forget that your cousin took us to see The Lion King Musical." Anna said.
"That was a blast after your cousin got us all seats when we heard two people arguing." Seth added.
"And a cop was called to break it up." Jovan added.
"Sometimes I wonder why New York City can't get sleep." July wondered.
"Because they hold many events there like Macy's Thanksgiving Parade for example." Seth explains to her. "And it's a busy city."
"But I'm glad we spent the night at your cousin's house." Anna said.
"Not to mention we watched The Lion King too in the basement." Slade replied, turning around. "Seth and I had to make a fort while Jovan was getting the movie set up when you two and Will were making popcorn."
"That was a great time." July smiled.
"True." Jovan added.
Brock walks up to them. "I got us some rooms." Brock said to them. "We should head there now."
"Anna and I will tell Ash, Misty and Pikachu." Jovan said to him. Jovan and Anna stands up and walks away. But a couple of Vulpix runs by them, making Anna being startled as she walks onto a wet floor. She grabs Jovan by the shoulder by surprise and falls onto the floor. Jovan places his hands on the floor as he push himself to give Anna to sit up.
"At least they didn't notice." Jovan said with a relief.
"Nair." Dragonair said, making Jovan to turn around to see Dragonair and Eevee with July, Seth and Brock looking at them.
"Seems like they're together now." July said with a sly smile.
"I always knew they would end up together." Seth said to July. "Maybe they'll confess their love to each other."
"Here you go." Brock said, kneeling down to hand over the card key to Jovan as the two trainers faces were turning red. "You, Anna and Dragonair have Room 212."
"We'll give you a head start to your room so you can confess you love to each other." July smiled as they all turned around and walks back to the couch.
"It's not what it looks like, July!" Jovan and Anna shouted together as their faces were still red.
Morning cam around. Luckily, Anna joined July in her room. As everyone walks out of the hotel, Anna notices several people arguing.
"They should just apologize instead of arguing." Anna said.
"Or they slept on the wrong side of the bed." Brock suggested.
They see Officer Jenny breaking up several arguments.
"Let's leave before something happens." Jovan told her.
Everyone left the town and was walking in the woods.
"I'm glad that we're here in these peaceful woods." Anna smiled.
"Yeah." Ash said. "It was so loud in Neon Town I couldn't sleep."
While they were walking a pink Pokemon with spherical body hops out of the bush and hops on a stump tree. It has pointed ears with black insides and large, blue eyes. It has small, stubby arms and slightly longer feet. On top of its head is a curled tuft of fur.
"What's that?" Misty wondered.
The Pink Pokémon looks at them.
"Isn't that a Jigglypuff?" Brock asked.
"You're right, Brock." Misty answered as they stop walking. "I always wanted one of those."
"Don't you like Water Pokémon?" Seth asked confused.
"I do." Misty said, taking out a Poké Ball. "But I like this one so I'm going to catch it. Staryu, go!" The Poké Ball opened and Psyduck appeared.
"Psyduck!" Psyduck exclaims.
"Psyduck, I didn't want you!" Misty shouted at Psyduck angrily.
"Psy." Psyduck said with tears.
"Return." Misty said.
Psyduck transforms into red energy and went inside the Poké Ball.
"Staryu!" Misy shouted as it appeared. "Double Edge!"
Staryu spins rapidly and tackles inti Jigglypuff.
"Gly!" Jiggly shouted as it was sent flying towards a tree and hits the ground as it rolled to a complete stop. "Puff..." It started crying.
"I think its crying." Jovan said as they walk over to the stump.
"There's something strange about it." Brock said, looking at Jigglypuff.
Everyone took out their Poké Dex as it jumps back on the tree stump.
Jigglypuff, a Balloon Pokémon. It has large friendly eyes and it sings a pleasant song.
"A Pokemon that sings?" Misty smiled. "How cute. Sing for us."
"Puff." Jigglypuff puff angrily, turning its back.
"What's wrong?" Jovan asks it.
"Please sing us a song?" Misty asks sweetly.
"Jig?" Jigglypuff looks nervous before kicking a couple pebbles.
"Is something wrong?" Misty asks the Balloon Pokémon.
Jigglypuff looks at them with a sad look. "Jigglypuff." it said, shaking its head.
"I guess its saying it can't sing." Brock said.
"Puff Puff." it nodded.
"Can't sing, huh?" Jovan asks Jigglypuff. "That's why you couldn't attack."
"I'm sorry I bothered you, little Jigglypuff." Misty apologizes while she was kneeling.
"Jigglypuff!" it smiled happily as the Balloon Pokémon jumps into Misty's lap and gives her a hug.
"I still think its cute, but who wants a Jigglypuff that can't sing." Misty said.
It gasps in shock. Jigglypuff stops hugging her and turns around with tears in its eyes.
"I'm so sorry." Misty apologizes to Jigglypuff. But then she had an idea and looks at Ash. "Hey I know." Misty smiled. "What if we can see to help this Jigglypuff sing?"
"Good idea." Jovan said. "We can't leave it here alone."
"Jig?" Jigglypuff stops crying and turns around to look at Misty with a smile.
Meanwhile Team Rocket and Team Neo were spying on them from the bushes.
"Looks like they they found a Jigglypuff." James said. He and Jessie were covered in bruises.
"A Jigglypuff?" Justin asked.
"A Jigglypuffs power can put people to sleep." Jessie answered.
"Then I have an idea." Meowth said, causing them to look at him. "We can use Jigglypuff to sing everyone in town."
"Then it's night night for Neon Town." Libby said.
"And the Pokemon will be ours when they're asleep." Sam smiled.
"That'll teach them not to mess with us." Meowth said.
"Team Rocket and Team Neo is about to enjoy the rich that we desevered." Jessie said.
"Let's do it." Meowth smiled.
Team Rocket changes into a white matching uniform while Team Neo changes into black uniforms as they got a tv set, microphone and speakers.
"Greetings, you Pokémon pipsqueaks." Jessie said.
Everyone looks at them.
"Now what are they up to?" Jovan wondered.
"It's time to pump it." James said
You know us as Team Rocket and we fight for what is wrong.
We're tired of our motto, so we thought we'd try a song.

The tv showed their score :54.
"You need to work on your timing." Jessie said, looking at their number. "You were late on the last verse."
"Meowth was perfect on the pitch." Justin said.
"So what kind of dumb plan do you have now?" Anna asks them.
Team Rocket and Team Neo turns around to look at them.
"We need Jigglypuff to sing for us." Libby answered.
"Why?" Anna asked.
"It's going to sing Team Rocket and Team Neo all the way." Sam answers evilly.
"Dream on!" Jovan growled, taking out a Poké Ball. "Bulb, let's go!" He throws the Poké Ball and Bulb appeared with Ash's Bulbasaur.
"Tackle Attack!" Sam ordered.
"Vine Whip!" Jovan commanded.
Bulb extended two dark vines from the bulb and caught Pidgeotto. Bulb sent Pidgeotto flying into Weezing's Poison Gas. Team Rocket and Team Neo were coughing.
"Ok Staryu!" Misty shouted.
Staryu fires a Water Gun at Team Rocket and Team Neo, making them running away.
Everyone made themselves comfortable. Misty was sang one note from bottom to top and back to bottom.
"Like that." Misty said, looking down at Jigglypuff. "See how I control my breathing while I sing the notes?"
"You're a great voice teacher, Misty." Ash smiled.
"Ok, now it's your turn." Misty said.
"Puff." Jigglypuff said, turning away from Misty.
"It doesn't look like it wants to sing." Ash said.
"Pika Pi Ka Cha Chu." Pikachu began to sing.
"Ha ha." Ash chuckled, kneeling down next to Pikachu. "Very good, Pikachu."
"Pika." Pikachu blushed.
"Jigglypuff looks at them with an angry look.
"I don't think you should hurt Jigglypuff's feelings, Ash." Anna said to Ash.
As they weren't looking, Jigglypuff sneaks up behind Pikachu and kicks him in the back of the head, before rushing behind Misty with a smile.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked confused, wondering who hit him.
"What is it, Pikachu?" Ash asks him, looking at Pikachu.
"I have another idea." Misty said. She takes out a red balloon and fills with air from blowing into it. "Now you try it. Fill up the balloon like this."
"It'll help your lungs to be bigger and stronger." Seth said to Jigglypuff.
"Puff." it said sadly.
"I told you it doesn't want to." Ash said to her.
"Take it, here you go." Misty said. She places the balloon on its mouth and Jigglypuff became big from the air inside the balloon.
It spits out the balloon and it went flying around them.
"I don't think that's going to work." Jovan said. "Is there anything else that can help?"
They started walking in the woods for a few minutes.
"Now let's see..." Brock said, looking around. "There it is!" Brock runs up to a berry tree. "Here, look at this."
Everyone stops behind him.
"What is that, Brock?" Anna asked.
Brock picks out a fruit. "The juice of this fruit has very special properties." Brock answered as he turns around. "It has the power to heal your throat if it's sore or tired."
"Nice." July smiled.
Brock looks at Jigglypuff. "If Jigglypuff eats this fruit, it might start singing." Brock said. "Would you like to try some?"
"Try some." Anna said to the Balloon Pokémon.
"Jiggly!" Jigglypuff smiled.
"This will work." Jovan smiles too.
Jigglypuff begins eating the fruit. "Puff." it smiled with satisfied.
"Ha ha." Misty chuckled.
Jigglypuff took a breath and began to sing. "Jigglypuff Jiggly Glypuff." it begins to sing.
"Hooray!" Misty cheered.
"Jiggly Jiggly!" Jigglypuff cheered.
Everyone chuckled.
"Pika Pika." Pikachu cheered. "Pi?!" Pikachu felt a kick behind him.
Ash and Brock looks at Pikachu. "What is it, Pikachu?" Ash asks him.
"Pikachu." Pikachu said unsure.
Everyone walks back to the tree stump and Misty sets Jigglypuff down on the stump.
"Please sing for us, Jigglypuff." Misty said to it.
"Jiggly." it nodded.
No one said a word as they watch Jigglypuff.
"Jigglypuff Jiggly Jigglypuff." Jigglypuff begins to sing. Jovan.
Jovan and Anna sits down on the ground as Jigglypuff was singing. Then everyone fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket and Team Neo were walking in the woods. Jessie was carrying a recorder and James was carrying big mic.
"This is a good plan instead of catching Jigglypuff." Justin said.
"Now we want its voice." Libby said.
"We'll use it ourselves when we record its voice." Sam added.
"It's over there!" James exclaims.
They all got low to the ground.
"Time to record." Jessie whispered. She press the red button to record and James extends the mic through the bushes without being seen.
Jigglypuff stops singing and notices the trainers sleeping. It hops off the stump and walks over to Misty. "Jiggly." it said, trying to wake Misty up, but she didn't wake up. "Puff!" Jigglypuff inflated angrily walks over to their stuff where Jovan and Anna slept peacefully. It jumps into Ash's bag and takes out a black marker.
Jigglypuff started to scribble on their faces. Jigglypuff hear something falling on the grass. It turns around to see Jovan and Anna laying on the ground. Anna's head was on his chest with her arms wrapped around around while Jovan has his right arm on her and using his left hand as a pillow. Jigglypuff walks up to the two sleeping trainers and drew on their faces.
"Jiggly." Jigglypuff chuckled. It heard some snoring from the bushes. Jigglypuff walks over and notice the mic before jumping through the bushes. Team Rocket and Team Neo were sleeping. Jigglypuff tried to wake them.
"Puff." Jigglypuff pouted angrily. It angrily slaps all of them, but they were still sleeping.
After several minutes has passed, everyone woke up and stretch their arms.
"What a nice nap." Misty said, stretching her arms.
"What happened to your face?!" Brock exlcaims, pointing at Ash and Misty's faces.
"And why do we have these drawings on out faces?" July wondered as she rubs her face to get the marker off.
"But where's Jovan and Anna?" Seth wondered.
"Near our bags." July smiled as walks over to her brother and kneels down. "Wake up, Jovan."
Jovan opens his eyes and yawned. "July, what happened?" Jovan asks her. "And whose head is laying on my chest?"
"Seems like you and Anna really love each other." July teased as Anna woke up.
"It's not what it looks like." Jovan said, his face blushing.
"But why did we fell asleep?" Anna wondered. They walk over to Jigglypuff who was mad.
"Why are you mad, Jigglypuff?" July asks it.
"I'm not sure." Slade said.
Misty looks at them. "Maybe its mad because we fell asleep when it was singing." Misty suggested.
"What?" Brock asked, crossing his arms. "No way. Why would it be mad at something like that?"
"I wouldn't be too happy if people fell asleep when they see me performing." Misty said.
Everyone agreed.
Misty picks up Jigglypuff. "We're sorry, little Jigglypuff." Misty apologizes to Jigglypuff.
"Puff." Jigglypuff said angrily.
"I got it." Brock smiled. "What if there are some Pokémon that can't fall asleep?"
Some of their Pokémon were out and listened to Jigglypuffs song. Bulbasaur, Bulb, Squirtle, Onix, Ash's Pidgeotto, Jovan's Pidgeotto, Slyther, Raticate and Vul fell asleep.
"Puff." Jigglypuff said angrily.
Everyone came back.
"No way." Jovan groans. "They all fell asleep."
"Jigglypuff's song is strong." Slade said with amazement.
"I know." Misty said, snapping her fingers as they look at each other. "Psyduck. Psyduck is to doofy to know if its awake or not."
"Worth a shot." Jovan said.
Psyduck stands in front of the Balloon Pokémon as Jigglypuff began to sing. Everyone fell asleep for a minute. After it sang, Ash opens his eyes and looks at them.
"Well what do you know." Jovan smiled as they walk up to Psyduck and Jigglypuff with his friends. "Psyduck listened to your song all the way."
"Good old Psyduck." Misty smiled, kneeling down next it. "I knew you do something right."
"Puff." Jigglypuff said angrily.
"What are you angry about now, Jigglypuff?" Misty asks it, looking at Jigglypuff. "Psyduck listened to the whole thing."
"Puff." Jigglypuff said as it turns around angrily.
"What?" Misty wondered. She looks back at Psyduck and gives a gentle push. Psyduck fell sideways and did nothing. "You stupid Pokémon!" she shouted angrily. "You're just sleeping with your eyes open!"
"Psy!" Psyduck cried.
Team Rocket and Team Neo were awake and notices their faces were drawn.
"Who drew on our faces?!" Libby growled, rubbing the mark off her face.
"Let's see if we get the voice." Justin suggested.
"I'm on it." Libyy said. She flips the switch.
Instead of Jigglypuff's voice, it was them snoring.
"We can't use our voices like that!" Justin complained.
Misty was sitting on the tree stump with Jigglypuff in her lap as everyone else was sitting down.
"What else can we do for it?" Jovan wondered.
"It must be frustrating to have a beautiful voice and no one to listen to the whole song." Misty said, looking at Jigglypuff.
"I know." Brock said. "Neon Town is the perfect place for it."
"That's right." Ash smiled as they all stand up.
"Since everyone in town can't sleep, they'll be able to listen Jigglypuff's song." Seth said.
"Now you get to sing to everyone in Neon Town, Jigglypuff." Misty said to it.
"Jiggly!" it smiled.
As they were walking back to Neon Town, Team Rocket and Team Neo jumps from behind the bushes.
"Did you hear?" Justin asked.
"Those fools are going to do exactly what we planned for Jigglypuff." Jessie said.
"Who needs friend when you have enemies." Sam said.
They all arrived back at the town as it was the late afternoon.
"Where could it sing where everyone can hear it?" Misty wondered.
"It would be great if we found an outdoor place." Ash said.
They tried out a music store. Everyone walks out of the store and looks at it after an employee shoo them away.
"What a jerk that guy is." Anna said angrily.
A truck pulls up behind them. The driver rolls down the window and it was a punk girl.
"Hi." she greeted them. "We heard your looking for an out door music stage."
They all turned around to look at her.
"That's right, we are." Misty said.
A punk boy walks out from behind the truck. "You can use ours if you want to." he said. The punk boy pressed a button, opening the other side of the truck.
Everyone ran to the other side of the truck. The music stage was amazing.
"Nice." Ash smiled.
"We can really use this?" Misty asks the two rock stars.
"Sure thing." the punk girl said. "We love to showcase new talent."
"Crank it up to eleven."
"Thank you very much." Misty thanked them. "This is great."
"I 'm glad we met someone who has an outdoor stage." Ash smiled.
They placed the stage in a big open space in the middle of town.
"This spot is perfect." Jovan said.
"Isn't it great?" Misty smiles at Jigglypuff. "You can sing at the stage."
"Jigglypuff." Jigglypuff smiled. "Jigglypuff."
Team Rocket was watching them from behind phonebooth.
"We got the bags." Libby said as she walks up to them with Sam and Justin.
"After everyone goes to sleep, the town is ours for the taking." James said, crossing his arms.
"Don't forget you earplugs." Justin said, putting in his earplugs.
Back at the stage, the lights turned on to show Jigglypuff at the center of the stage. Several people stops walking and notices the stage with Jigglypuff. Some were wondering what's going on or why is there a stage.
"Jigglypuff." Jigglypuff begins to sing into the microphone. Its singing can be hear from all over the town. Many people inside the buidlings were wondering where is that singing from or who singing. In the woods standing on a high branch in the tree, the hooded figure stood with Vaporeon, Alakazam and Persian. The hooded figure and the three Pokemon leaps off the branch and walks away.
Back in town people were beginning to get tired.
"I thought the earplugs would work." Libby yawns as she fell on the floor and started to fall asleep with her team.
Everyone in town fell asleep. Jigglypuff stops singing, expecting an applause. But it notice everyone fell asleep. "Puff!" Jigglypuff pouted, mad to see everyone was asleep. It takes out the marker and drew on everyone's faces all night.
Morning came around in Neon Town.
"Yawn." Ash yawned as he got up and walk, stretching his arms.
Everyone in town was waking up.
"Uh oh." Ash said, looking at everyone as his friends walks up behind him. "Everyone fell asleep."
"Looks that way." Seth said.
"Where do you think Jigglypuff went to?" Ash wondered.
"I bet its pretty mad." Misty said.
July notices the people in town being nice and apologizing.
"Seems like that Jigglypuff's power can make people nice when putting people to sleep too." Seth said.
"Hey, it's you." a voice said.
Everyone looks down to the right and notice it was the teenage boy from yesterday.
"I just wanted to apologize to you about bumping into you last night." he smiled.
"You're that guy." Ash said.
"Yeah, I'm sorry." he apologized.
"That's ok." Ash smiled. "Thanks for the apology."
Misty notices Jigglypuff wasn't here. "I wonder where Jigglypuff went." she wondered, looking around.
"I think it got mad and ran off somewhere." July suggested.
"Jigglypuff!" Misty calls out to it.
July turns around and notices her brother resting his head on Anna's lap as her hand was on Jovan's hair. She elbows Seth and Slade, causing the two boys to smile and getting the other's attention.
Jovan let out a yawn as he and Anna open their eyes. "Good morning, Anna." Jovan said.
"Morning." Anna said as she looks down and notices Jovan resting his head in her lap. "Why are you using my lap as a pillow?"
"I'm not sure." Jovan said. "I think we fell asleep like everyone else."
"Just be glad they didn't see this." Anna said.
July clears her throat, getting their attention. "Seems to me you're taking this relationship seriously." she said with a sly smile.
"Hello, is it Jovan you're looking for?" Seth sang.
"I'll help you pick out a ring for you, Jovan, when you ask Anna to marry you." July teased.
"I bet Anna is feeling the love since it's so deep and so real." Seth teased.
"Why don't we give these two some privacy." Slade suggested. "We shouldn't disturb them."
They all turn around and walks away.
"It's not what it looks like!" Jovan and Anna yelled as their faces turned red.
Team Rocket and Team Neo were walking away from the town with smiles on their faces.
"We failed again!" Jessie smiled.
"It's a beautiful day!" James exclaims happily.
"That's life for you." Justin said.
Everyone started walking in the woods.
"I'm just glad that everyone is happy in Neo Town again." Jovan smiled.
"Everyone needs a good rest to recharge." Seth said.
"Vee." Eevee agreed.
"But where do you think Jigglypuff went?" Anna wondered. "Misty wanted to catch it."
"I think it started its own quest to find someone who can listen to its song all the way through." Jovan said.
"I hope we meet Jigglypuff again." Misty said.
After hearing Jigglypuff's song and resting up, our heroes continue their journey refresh in mind, body and spirt. Huh?
"Puff." Jigglypuff said, walking out of a bush. It smiled before it started to them. "Jigglypuff." Jigglypuff chuckled. It started to follow them. "Jigglypuff, Jigglypuff, Jigggly, Jiggly, Jig!"
