Hey everyone! I was just at a writing conference, and had to make up a story with two objects: a bag of marbles and a bell. I hope you like it!

p.s Elizabeth thoughts should be italicized, but right now my computer is kind of acting weird, and it wouldn't do it. Sorry!
Elizabeth was deep in thought. "What did I do when I was young, and really, really bored." She sat at her desk thinking hard, when she suddenly remembered something. Marbles, she mentally screamed. Elizabeth jumped out of her chair and ran to her room as if she were running for her life. She moved to her closet, and found her favorite purple box with beads all over it. She opened the lid gently , and looked inside. In the box was a black bag full of marbles, a necklace that had belonged to her mother, and a gold bell with a black handle that her father had used to call her or her mom when he had broken his leg. She pulled out the back of marbles and out the lid back on the box, She closed the door of her Atlantian closet, and stood starring at the wall because a thought had occurred to her. Who am I going to play with? She thought of all the other people she had given a day off. John, that's who she would play with. So, Elizabeth mad up her mind and headed down the hall. It took her about ten minutes to get to his room. She stood in front of the door for a few minutes before she got the courage to knock.
"Who is it?" John's voice called out.
"Elizabeth," she said, "I come bearing fun."
"Come on in."
Elizabeth opened the door, and slowly walked in. She looked around the room, taking in her surroundings. She had only been in John's room twice, and both times had been very short, and she hadn't been able to memorize what it looked like. The only think that seemed familiar to her was the fuzzy, dark blue blanket laying neatly on his bed.
"So, you've brought fun, I hear."
"I brought marbles."
"Marbles?" he asked questioningly.
"I was bored and was thinking about what I did when I was young and had nothing to do. I remembered playing marbles with my friends."
"Oh," he said," we'll then let's play."
The two sat down on the floor and Elizabeth dumped the marbles onto the floor.
"I haven't played marbles since I was ten, so you might have to teach me," John told her.
"Sure," she said," I'd be glad to.'
And so, the two friends sat on the floor playing marbles for hours, talking and laughing at how silly it was to be playing marbles at their age. And the time flew by, and before they knew it, it was 11:00 and they both had to get up early the next day.
"I guess we should stop until another time," Elizabeth said as she started to yawn.
"Yeah, I guess we could."
John got up, while Elizabeth picked up the marbles. After all the marbles were put back into the black bag, Elizabeth got up and walked to the door.
"I'll see you tomorrow, John."
"Yeah, " he said," And Elizabeth?"
"Yes?"
"Thanks"
"For what?"
"For asking me to play marbles with you, it was fun."
"You're welcome."
"We should do it again," John suggested.
"I'd love that."
"Great, then its me, you, and those marbles next day off."
"See you then," she laughed out as she started to walk down the hall to her room with her black bag full of marbles in her hand.
