Title: Sometimes
Pairing: unstated Byron/Jeff
Rating: G
Summary: Jeff doesn't know why he stays.
AAAAA
There are times when Jeff wonders why he stays in Connecticut.
There are times when the snow is just below the window sill in the living room and he wonders why he stays in this freezing ice hole.
There are time when Richard just won't shut up and his mom won't stop asking stupid questions and he wonders why he doesn't stay with his dad and Carol-the normal ones.
There are times when the temperature drops below 40 in June, freak snowstorms in May, hail in July, no school for weeks at a time in February, and earrings in the vegetable drawer.
There are times when Jeff seriously considers just leaving. He imagines surfing all day and no snow. Ever.
He imagines being under the sun, near the beach, and near all of his old friends.
He imagines sitting on the beach, watching the sun set behind pristine white clouds streaked with pink, after a long day of surfing.
And he imagines sitting there alone.
And, suddenly, it isn't so hard to put up with harsh Connecticut winters where the kids don't surf and the girls don't tan. Where no one listens to underground indie rock or worries about their homes being earthquake safe.
And Jeff knows he wouldn't be home anywhere but Stoneybrook.

This is my first B/J...hahahaha, sorry, I'm a tad hyper right now. Please R&R. I'd really appreciate some feedback. Even though I think this sucks. Ah, well, that's what minimal effort and 20 minutes gets ya.
