Kokoro was seated at a table when he saw Presila walk away from the Guild Hall, looking down on herself. He waved an arm wide while calling her name out, trying to catch her attention. Presila's eyes caught sight of him and her expression brightened up a little bit. She took a seat across from him, swiping his mug for a drink herself.

"Everything alright," Kokoro asked, "you looked a little down on yourself for a moment there."

Presila sighed, before nodding, "Yeah, just got word of what my punishment is for having taken you out to scout on Rakna-Kadaki. They are moving my rank down by one and providing a Handler to oversee my hunting duties."

Kokoro, stunned for a moment, blurted, "I thought you said that sort of thing was tradition! Why are they punishing you for that if it was? Am I in trouble?" Kokoro froze for a moment as a terrible thought came to him, "Are they going to take my hunter's license? Am I going to be prohibited from hunting? By Kirin's Mane, am I aren't I!"

Presila leaned over the table to cuff him over the head, snapping him from his self-induced panic. "No you aren't going to be punished, you duncehead. You are perfectly fine, more than fine honestly." The older hunter chuckled for a moment. "In fact, the next time that you stop into the Guild Hall they are going to be giving you your novice hunter's license."

Kokoro's eyes lit up and he leapt up, grabbing Presila by the shoulders, "REALLY! Are you serious! Please, tell me you are not pulling my leg again!" As Presila nodded in affirmation, Kokoro began to dance in place all excited. "Yes, Yes, YES!"

"You finally did it. In spite of the difficulties of becoming a full fledged hunter, you have finally done it. You could not have made me any prouder," Prescila stated, smiling down at the hunter she had helped train up from scratch. Hesitating for a moment, she continued, "But, uh…don't tell them I told you any of this. We aren't supposed to tell new hunters that they have made it."

Kokoro got up from his seat gave Presila a tight hug, whispering "Thank you. Master," into her ear as he did so. "But, what about you?" Kokoro asked, as a thought came to him suddenly, "You mentioned that you got punished for the Rakna-Kadaki scouting trip. Why?" The novice hunter had a puzzled expression on his face, unable to figure out why he was being rewarded as his master was being punished.

"Ah," Prescila paused, finding the right words to say, "You remember how I mentioned that it was alright for me to bring you along on the scouting trip since I am a senior hunter? That was more of a technicality than anything. I would have been fine to bring you along to scout out some large monsters; with something like a Drome and their pack being easily accepted while a Barroth would be tolerated." Moofahishly, Presila scratched the back of her head, "But, well…I wanted to do things the way that my Master did for me. If they want to punish me for passing on the path that my Master taught, so be it. They knew what they were getting into when they gave you over to me to teach."

"Who was your Master? You don't mention him, ever really," Kokoro began, "Quite a few of the things that you have shown me aren't things I hear from other apprentices. I mean, I have not really seen anyone else have a ghillie suit in their chest of gear."

Presila chuckled, "I would think not. That sort of thing is seen more often in a select group of individuals." Her eyes wandered back over to the Guild Hall, "You are most likely to see that ghillie suits in the exploratory corps, like the Fifth Fleet over in the New World. Of course, the way I came across my own was my family, poachers." Laughing at the shocked expression on Kokoro's face, Presila poked his forehead and sent him toppling back into his seat.

"Yeah, I come from a poacher family. Taken the skills that they taught me and turned them around for a force of balance," Presila smirked for a moment, "That thought alone would make my pops shudder. Would have struggled to get where I am without my Master's teaching though. They showed me how to do things in an ecologically safe way, shared the recipes that they had learned, and…well everything that I have taught you. To be honest, he gave me the know-how to make an honest living in the Guild, in spite of my past." Presila smiled, more to herself than anything. "He would have loved you too, honestly. He loved the 'charity cases' of helping a new hunter rise up from non-hunter backgrounds. Shame that he's over in the New World with the Fifth Fleet, exploring untouched lands."

"Anyways," Presila continued, "I gotta get going. Along with lowering my rank a little, I got handed mucking duties in the Aptonoth Stables for a month. And that waits, for no woman." With a jaunty wave of her hand, she waved goodbye before sauntering off into the crowd.
