Land of Fire
Disclaimer: I own neither Avatar: The Last Airbender, nor the song "Boondocks" by Little Big Town.
Song parody of Boondocks, describing Zuko's feelings at the end of "Zuko Alone". MAJOR SPOILERS! Sorry about the format, apperently you can't do standzas seperated by space. It is possible to read this without knowing the song, but the song is so good, you should just go listen to it now if you haven't already.
I feel no shame, I'm proud of where I came from,
I was born and raised in the land of Fire.
One thing I know, no matter where I go,
I keep my heart and soul in the land of Fire.
-
I can feel those burning torch running through my veins.
I can hear that crackling of the midnight flame,
And to me, that sounds familiar.
-
I feel no shame, I'm proud of where I came from,
I was born and raised in the land of Fire.
One thing I know, no matter where I go,
I keep my heart and soul in the land of Fire.
-
I can taste those ashes, and I know defeat.
My sister beat me, and she wins by deceit.
And now I think that she's out to kill me.
-
I feel no shame, I'm proud of where I came from,
I was born and raised in the land of Fire.
One thing I know, no matter where I go,
I keep my heart and soul in the land of Fire.
-
It's where I started my living,
It's where I met my love,
It's where I was when my face was scarred.
And just one loss was much too much.
It's where I learned my religion.
And defied the high command.
You can't take it or leave it.
This is me, this is who I am.
-
Give me a garden,
Lots of flame and lots of gold.
And that's gone to me.
That was home to me.
-
I feel no shame, I'm proud of where I came from,
I was born and raised in the land of Fire.
One thing I know, no matter where I go,
I keep my heart and soul in the land of Fire.
-
You pulled the knife; I toke the toll.
Why do act like I'm a cursed soul?
Rescue a town from its evil plight.
Run out before the morning…
As always, please review!
