Alright guys sorry for the long wait on this one too but I'm back with a new chapter. These last few episodes of One Piece along with the manga really got me in the one piece mood. This chapter will end the punk hazard arc, and you'll notice not everything goes as it did in canon. Truth be told I wanted to get through PH quickly so we can get to Dressrosa as that's where we meet Viola and the rematch with Doffy will happen.

A few days later
"So it doesn't weird you out at all?" Law's voice resonated in Naruto's temporary room. "Not even a little bit?"
The blond shrugged "Not really. Are you telling me you wouldn't do Monet?" Naruto asked, not getting what his captain was going on about.
"Of course I would, but the woman isn't normal anymore. She's part bird." Law retorted, making sure to say the last three words slowly. "This proves that you'll have sex with anything that moves."
Naruto frowned, looking slightly offended. "Not 'anything', even I have standards." He responded ignoring the look on Law's face that screamed 'I don't believe that'.
The surgeon was about to respond but stopped as one of his pockets began ringing. He reached in and pulled out a still ringing Den Den Mushi. The moment he answered the snail's features began to change, sprouting a small straw hat as well as a scar underneath one of its eyes.
"Oi Law! It's Luffy, the man who's gonna be king of the pirates." Luffy's voice yelled out from the snail's mouth.
"That second part was completely unnecessary." Naruto said only to be ignored.
"Straw hat." Came Law's curt reply. "We haven't heard from you in over two years, what's going on?"
"We made it to the New World and wanted to see if you'd made it too." Came Luffy's response.
Law smirked "We've been here for a bit. Did you just enter?"
"Yeah. We got a distress signal not too long ago. We're getting near an island that's burning." Naruto and Law shared a look, eyes slightly widened.
"Perfect. We're on that same island as we speak. Pay attention Straw Hat, there's something going on here."
2 Hours Later
Naruto tapped his foot impatiently as he stood next to Law deep inside one of the many caves around Punk Hazard. They'd decided to meet here due to the fact that the blizzard that seemed to be a constant on this part of the island provided a perfect cover from the camera's Caesar had set up throughout the island. He had no doubt the mad scientist knew the Straw Hats were here already, but he didn't have to know they'd made contact yet.
"I hope they didn't get lost." Naruto mumbled just loud enough for Law to hear. "It's freezing out here."
Law didn't respond for the next few minutes, instead continuing to rest against the cave wall with his eyes closed. Finally he opened his eyes and said "They're here."
From the mouth of the cave the silhouettes of 4 different people began to form until they revealed the forms of Luffy, Franky, Chopper, and Robin.
The captain of the Straw Hats broke out into a giant smile when he laid eyes on the two Heart Pirates. "Law! Naruto!" He yelled with glee.
Both men nodded in greeting. "I'm sure you know us by now, and we know you, so we'll skip the greetings until both of our crews are assembled in their entirety."
Naruto glanced at their allies, noting how with them here things would probably be able to go a little smoother. His eyes discreetly trailed the form of Nico Robin before looking down to the shortest member of their crew. Taking a few steps forward Naruto crouched down until he was face to face with Chopper.
The blond placed a hand atop his head in between the horns and lightly twisted side to side to get a better look. "What kind of dog is this?"
Law shook his head and picked the small doctor up by the head with one hand. "It's not a dog, it's a racoon. You can tell by the eyes." He said, motioning to his large black eyes.
Chopper's eyes widened to the point that they could almost pop out of his head as he yelled in indignation "Oi! I'm not a dog or a racoon! I'm a reindeer." Luffy found this to be highly amusing as he pointed and laughed at his doctor.
Law put Chopper down and turned his attention back to the Straw Hats and began briefing them about who's on the island, the SAD chemical, as well as the experimentation on the kids . To say the Straw Hats were upset would be an understatement. Not only were they angry with the clown but Doflamingo by extension.
In the end the two crews decided to split the work between them as it would be the best and quickest way to get off the island. Seeing as their alliance was still in effect, Law took the opportunity to talk to Luffy of their plan to take down Doflamingo, and by default, Kaido.
Unsurprisingly, the Straw Hats were in agreement of taking down the strongest of the Yonko. It was a task that was easier said than done but with them it'd definitely give them a higher chance of success.
"Alright. You guys take care of the children." Law delegated as he reached into his coat pocket, took out some sheets of paper, and handed them to Chopper. "This is what I've been able to gather about the drug they've been forced to take. You begin working on an antidote."
Chopper nodded, the Heart Pirates past transgressions long forgotten now that he'd been tasked with such an important job.
"What are you going to do?" Luffy asked as he tried looking at the sheets Chopper was going over.
Law glanced over at the blond. "You deal with Caesar. He'll be more trouble than he's worth if he's roaming around freely. Capture him by any means necessary but keep him alive." He ordered. Looking at Luffy he continued "I'm going to take care of some of the pests around here as well as something in the main building." He said referring to the SAD chemical.
Naruto nodded. "Got it. I'll wait until I see the opportunity and take care of him."
"Good." Naruto's eyes darted upwards and his hand caught something out of the sky. "Get in contact with me if anything comes up." The blond stuffed the snail into his pocket and headed out, disappearing into the blizzard.
As he walked through the falling snow he thought about everything that needed to be done. They still needed to get a ship, the Straw Hats were going to rescue the giant kids, and he needed to handle Caesar. The thought of the clown brought up another issue, Monet. While he enjoyed his time with the now harpy lady, she was a liability.
As much as he hated ridding the world of a beautiful woman, it would need to be done. If she wasn't handled by the time they had to leave he'd simply stab her heart since Law had it in his possession. Speaking of the captain, he had the last task on their list. Destroying the SAD production room.
Shaking his head lightly he put those thoughts aside and focused on his objective. Having his goal in mind clear he made his way back into the lab and began looking for the clown.
Finding Caesar turned out to be a harder task than he had expected. For the past hour he'd wandered through the various hallways of the laboratory looking for the deranged scientist, and had no luck. Just as he was about to do another sweep, his eyes darted to one of the nearby metal doors that happened to be open just slightly. This would've been something he would've ignored had it not been for the annoying laugh that was currently echoing from the room.
Naruto his pace to make sure his footsteps didn't echo through the hallways and get his attention as he approached the door.
"Yes. Monet has seen the Straw Hat pirates on the island. She reported this to me a few hours ago. No doubt Law will be in contact with them soon if he hasn't already." Caesar said out loud.
"What's he doing now?" A deep voice Naruto didn't recognize asked. Naruto knew Caesar wasn't alone in there, as he could sense the half bird woman standing next to him. The voice however, was far too deep to be Monet's which meant he was reporting via Den Den Mushi.
"He's just finished taking care of Smoker and the rest of the marines that arrived."
"I see. I'll be there shortly" The snail made its trademark noise hanging up.
"Hello! Hello! Virgo! Damn him!" Caesar cursed at the nonrespondent snail.
Naruto left the man to curse and made his way back to his room, doing his best not to bump into any of the animal like henchmen. He didn't know who this Vergo person was but if Caesar was reporting to him, then it stood to reason the man also worked directly under Doflamingo.
The blond made it to his room with little trouble and as soon as the door was shut, he pulled out the Den Den Mushi. Luckily his captain wasn't one to let the snail ring for too long and picked it up.
"What is it?" Law asked
"Do you know anyone named Vergo?"
There was a slight pause after the question before Law answered. "Yeah. He's one of Doflamingo's most trusted family members. He should be in Dressrosa at the moment. Why?"
"Caesar was reporting to him about what you were doing. He said he'd be here shortly. What do we do? You want me to deal with him too?" Naruto offered.
"No. Leave him be for now. When he arrives he'll go looking for Caesar and when he can't find him, he'll go search the SAD production room. I'll deal with him there."
Naruto nodded, not that Law could see it. "How are things on your end?"
"Going smoothly. I just dealt with Smoker and the marines. We should be good to leave soon."
"Got it. Let me know if anything comes up." Naruto responded before hanging up.
'Law's battling the Marines and the Straw Hat's rescuing the kids. I'm the only one who's not doing anything exciting.' He thought to himself as he headed back out, hoping to catch the scientist by himself.
It wasn't until another half hour went by that Naruto found his chance. He opened the door to one of Caesar's many mini labs and stepped inside while activating his devil fruit ability. Slowly the ground changed from it's bright white color to a pure black. Unfortunately, Caesar too had his devil fruit active and was using it to hover above the ground as he usually did.
"Shirorororo I see you and Law finally decided to act." Caesar said, turning around to face him with a shit eating grin on his face.
Naruto's eyes trailed down to see the man pulling out two small clam like items. At that moment his observation haki kicked in, giving him a brief glimpse of what was to come. Immediately Naruto jumped back out of the room, but still leaving 'Gift Bad' activated. No more than a second after he left the room a giant explosion rocked the building.
"It's no use running." Caesar laughed as he floated out of the room unscathed. Naruto quickly created a bow and shot off five arrows in a split second, each aiming at a different part of the scientist. As annoying as he was Caesar wasn't stupid and actively dodged the arrows knowing they were coated in Haki.
However, he was built to be in a lab not in a one on one battle. As he focused on dodging the projectiles Naruto managed to move fast enough to get behind him and deliver a devastating kick to his ribs. The haki coated kick was powerful enough to force the man to cough up a glob of blood as he crashed into the metal wall of the lab.
Naruto didn't give him a chance to recuperate and grabbed his head before slamming it once into the wall behind him. Caesar's eyes rolled into the back of his head, losing consciousness long before he hit the ground.
Just to be sure he would stay down, Naruto let a small 'Gift Ball' land on the man, lowering his body's resistance to oxygen. It wasn't enough to kill him but enough to make sure he'd be too weak to move if he got up. Grabbing him by the collar of his clothing, Naruto began dragging him to one of the many utility closets set up. Law had made a good call when he ordered the chains to be swapped. Carefully, he dropped a set of chains onto the ground and proceeded to bound Caesar in them.
He felt his power begin to waver for a minute but it quickly returned when he let go of the chains. Now that Caesar was stuck in sea stone chains he wouldn't be going anywhere. Naruto grabbed him once more before throwing him over his shoulders, being careful not to let the chains touch him. He made his way back into the room Caesar occupied and mentally sighed when he saw that the explosion somehow hadn't messed up the monitors or computer.
Clicking a few buttons he pulled up a view of every camera on the island. The Straw Hats seemed to be successful in taking the children from the biscuit room as they were making their way out. He frowned slightly when he noticed a speck of green on the snow covered ground and zoomed in.
"A damn shame." He said to himself, realizing the speck was none other than Monet, having been split in two. From what he could see it was a clean vertical cut, most likely the work of Roronoa Zoro. Clicking a few more buttons he managed to enlarge the frame of the SAD chemical production room.
When he saw two people fighting he immediately left the room and made his way over. He arrived in time to see Law ducking under a Haki coated bamboo swing courtesy of Vergo. The two pirates stopped their skirmish to glance briefly at him before turning their attention back to each other.
"Don't stop on my account," Naruto said. His eyes moved to the small red snail that had very familiar white and red glasses covering its eyes. In an impressive burst of speed Naruto grabbed the snail and moved off to the side to continue specating the battle out of harm's way.
"Oi Doffy-kun how are you doing?" Naruto asked, doing a crude imitation of the man.
The snail's eyes narrowed at his words, though it didn't last long before its face broke out into a wide sinister grin. No doubt mirroring the one of the man on the other side.
"Hehehehehe Naruto-kun aren't you going to help law?" Asked Doflamingo, ignoring Naruto's question. "He's never once bested Vergo and now he's gone and pissed him off. What do you think is going to happen?"
Naruto looked up to the two fighters in time to see Law dodging and weaving every bamboo strike, punch, and kick that was sent his way. The surgeon's hands glowed for a second before turning black, haki covering him up to his elbows. The captain of the Heart Pirates parried a blow and retaliated. Vergo made the mistake of standing still, deciding to take the attack head on.
The punch to the face was strong enough to send the stoic man back quite a few feet into the guard rail, blood dripping down his nose despite the Haki he had protecting him. Law's use and power with Busoshoku Haki grew at an astounding rate over the past two years under Gerard's guidance. He had strong will power as it was but with the man's tutelage, he was able to control it to a high degree.
"Joker." Law called out, not taking his eyes off Vergo. "Vergo is a dead man. We've already taken care of Caesar, and you're about to lose SAD. Naruto and I are going to do the unthinkable."
Naruto smirked at his captain's words and looked back at the Den Den Mushi. "Law doesn't need my help. Whatever you think you know about him you can go ahead and forget. Law is stronger, faster, and has better Haki than Vergo."
As if to prove that point, Law coated the sheath of his blade with Haki to easily block the oncoming bamboo strikes. The ground beneath the two men shattered slightly when the two weapons met due to the amount of force produced by the impact. Vergo was once again pushed back, and into a defensive position as Law began applying pressure.
"I know you can't see what's happening but I'll tell you." Naruto said as he watched the battle play out. "Your right hand man is about to be killed by Law because he's weak."
Whether it happened because of his words or it was part of his plan, Naruto didn't know, but after he spoke those words Vergo covered his entire upper body in Haki. Law responded by gripping the handle of his nodachi and switching to a battojutsu stance.
"It's happening." Naruto said loud enough for Doflamingo to hear him. With a push off of the air, Vergo launched himself at Law. The man finally had a distinguishable look on his face, one that made it clear he was aiming to kill the man in front of him.
The moment he got close enough Naruto tilted his head to the right, his Haki telling him what was coming. Almost as if in slow motion Naruto saw Vergo's body get cut clean in half at the waist. The man still had his arms raised, ready to strike as he went down.
"Game over."
Not only was Vergo cut down, but so was the entirety of the production room as well as the mountain that the lab was built into.
The first mate whistled in amazement. "I told you those two years with Gerard would do us wonders."
"It's been two years since the war of the best, and you've done nothing but sit there with a calm look on your face." Law said out loud, clearly talking to Doflamingo. "The big timers didn't accomplish anything. The new era you always spoke about is coming. We broke the gear and there's no turning back." He finished.
Naruto glanced down at the now silent snail "That didn't turn out how you imagined did it?" He asked mockingly. "I had you at death's door once, and I promise I'll finish the job soon. Until then, sit there and plan your next move knowing we're going to get you." He didn't let the man respond as he threw the communication device into one of the cut containers.
"Let's go." Law ordered. "The place is gonna blow soon."
As Naruto made towards the exit, making sure to not forget Caesar, he noticed some debris moving slightly and a bit of smoke coming out of it. He quickly headed over and uncovered the battered body of Smoker, who incredibly still had two cigars in his mouth.
Naruto looked to Law who nodded and continued walking. He placed him on his other shoulder and made his way towards the exit. Though not before letting the marine know he owed them one for the rescue.
Thanks to their knowledge of the area the four were able to escape with very little difficulty and managed to meet up with the Straw Hats near their ship half an hour later.
As they approached they noticed the two opposing groups sitting together, having a meal made by the chef of the Straw Hats. Walking closer everyone turned to look at them, though the marines locked their eyes onto Naruto's shoulder.
The blond placed him down and raised his hands up "He's all yours."
"The dishonor…" Smoker coughed "Of being helped by pirates."
"If you want to repay your debt to us, then let us go without chase." Law said, briefly glancing at him. His attention was mostly on the giant kidnapped children who were all aboard the Marine's ship.
"We'd never take orders from some no good pirates!" One of the marines yelled despite still eating food made by said no good pirates. Some nodded and began standing up, ready to try and take them down but stopped as Smoker raised a hand up.
The man continued to smoke and turned his head to the two Heart Pirates. "Fine. After this though, I'm doing everything in my power to take you down."
The two didn't respond, but Law did place the man's heart back in his chest. They joined the other pirates and had some food where something else was revealed to them. While they were dealing with Caesar and Vergo, two more people had arrived on the island.
Two people that Law recognized immediately from his youth. Tied up on a small wooden raft were Baby 5 and Buffalo. The moment their eyes locked onto him they began their childish name calling and asking all sorts of stupid questions.
Law smirked and reached over to his nodachi, enjoying the look on his face as he unsheathed the blade.
An hour later the two members of the Heart Pirates were aboard the Thousand Sunny, making their way to the next island with Caesar still knocked out beside them. Funny enough the man with the top knot hairstyle, who's name they learned was Kin'emon was there as well. Both Naruto and Law did apologize for shooting at him and slicing him up in Law's case. The man was just looking for his son who happened to be one of the kids in the biscuit room.
"You think he'll call?" Naruto asked his captain. The moment he finished his sentence the small yellow Den Den Mushi they'd stolen from Baby 5 began to go off. "Nevermind."
"Who would've thought the boss would show up in person." Law taunted.
"Law is that you?" Doflamingo asked as if he didn't know. "You couldn't have stayed for a bit longer to meet in person?"
"If you're looking for Caesar, he's with me." Law responded.
"Where are Baby 5 and Buffalo's bodies?"
"Who knows? We're not talking about that right now. Let's make a deal." Doflamingo laughed on the other side.
"Don't try acting tough Law. Brats like you shouldn't try to act like adults. Don't anger me." He responded.
Law smiled, completely unfazed by the older man's words. "You should be concerned about angering your most important trading partner. Kaido of the Beasts.
What happens when he finds out you can't produce SMILEs anymore? You can't negotiate with a man like him. You know if you tried fighting him, he'd kill you."
Naruto couldn't help but feel an intense amount of satisfaction when Doflamingo told Law he was taking this joke too far. The man was scared, he knew Law's words were true. Kaido would kill him with little trouble.
"Fine. What do you want?" Doflamingo asked, his trademark smile now missing from his face.
"Give up your position as warlord. Throw away everything you've gained these past ten years and become a regular pirate. Of course you'll be hunted down after that by the marines but that's not my problem. You have until tomorrow morning's news. If I see you retired, I'll contact you again. If there's no news, negotiations are off. Later."
Law hung up and smiled, things went smoother than he expected.
"Even if he does give up his position and we hand Caesar over we should have a back up plan just in case." Naruto advised.
Law looked to Caesar and activated his devil fruit ability. He held his palm open and two small cubes with beating hearts appeared with a small pop.
"I got these back from him soon after giving them to him. I'll replace his heart with one of these, in case something goes wrong we still have leverage over Doflamingo."
Naruto nodded and looked out to the sea. They were finally on their way to Dressrosa. Doflamingo managed to escape him last time, but this time he'd be sure to finish the smiling bastard off for good. He hoped the man had a decent day because once they made it to Dressrosa, the timer on his life would begin.
Finally done with Punk Hazard. It might have felt lackluster as it didn't go through every detail the anime did. Since he's not on the Straw Hat crew though, it's to be expected. Next chapter is the start of Dressrosa and where some of the real fun begins. I have a lot of ideas for what's to come and Viola also makes her appearance so look forward to that.
