"Hi, Seanathan. Long time, no see," Alex beamed the second the front door opened. She closed the magazine she had been flipping through, and leapt off the couch to rush to the man she hadn't seen in far too long. Sean was a bit shocked to find her in his apartment, but he immediately rolled with it. How could he ever complain about her presence, even if she greeted him with a terrible nickname. Crossing the livingroom, he scooped his girlfriend up in his arms and kissed her. The two days they hadn't seen one another (despite being able to text and call sporadically) had been torture. They just had to be near one another.
"Hi, Allie," Sean jokingly whispered against her lips, kissing her once more. Alex groaned in annoyance, but with her boyfriend's lips against hers how could she truly be upset. The couple had been spoiled when it came to the time they spent together. Working as a team to take down a corrupt unit of the government had caused their every waking moment to be together. Even when they were friends they hung out as often as possible. The few days they had apart was jarring. It was something they should get used to- but why want that.
"Mhmm. No. Seanathan is cute. Allie isn't," Shaking her head, Alex admonished the cute name he attempted. Sean just rolled his eyes and continued to kiss her. The couple slowly stumbled towards the couch, not quite looking where they were going. If they fell, they fell together; neither minded. All they would concern themselves with was kissing as thoroughly as possible. She fell on the cushions first, then him; pillows and her magazine were shoved aside. The world itself began to slip away the longer they kissed. It was only the two of them.
Greedy hands roamed bodies the couple hadn't touched in too long. Seriously, Sean and Alex had to get used to time apart. They wouldn't be together every second of the day for the rest of their lives. In fact, when things settled with Division and they returned to normal lives, they'd be like regular couples- only seeing each other when they could. They'd have jobs and social functions to attend. Their two days apart was nothing compared to that. Regardless, the young couple kissed like they had never kissed before. It was a while before they even separated for air. Once they did, Sean breathed against Alex's parted lips, "What have you been up to today?"
"Helping Nikita pack," Alex simplified her day in one simple phrase. Sean didn't need a play by play of what the two friends talked about. All that matter was kissing, limbs tangling on the couch and hands continuing to caress. That was her intention in stopping by his place, after all. She wanted her boyfriend. Also, she hadn't really stayed in her small apartment since she revealed her identity. She needed a new place, one more suitable for an heiress - one that could house both her and her Seal, "You know, there's a beautiful apartment complex near Nikita's and Michael's new place that has a unit for sale. We can move in now."
"What happened to moving in here?" Sitting up on the sofa, Sean wondered. He thought they had agreed to settle in at his place. Most of her belongings were scattered amongst his things anyway. It'd be an easy and simple move. It also wouldn't stir much attention in the press. Dodging paparazzi had become a new game since Alexandra Udinov had returned from the dead. With their superspy skills, it wasn't too difficult. But buying an apartment and living in the city with her boyfriend would garner some attention. He had had enough of that.
"Don't you want a place that's ours? And not one that's crappy or paid for by the government," Alex sat up as well, trying to be nice as she argued her point. She wasn't calling Sean's place crappy. Her little apartment from when she was hiding who she truly was was the shithole. However, his place wasn't that much better. It didn't really have enough space for the both of them. Also, it was something given to him as he helped with Oversight and other governmental things. They should have their own place without the influence of their questionable and dirty pasts. New memories should be made, as well as new happiness.
Placing a chaste kiss to her lips, Sean couldn't think of an argument against her. He should simply let the paparazzi thing go. Those annoying reporters would always be there. Alex could handle herself around them, which meant so could he. Besides, what was so wrong about a new place. They wanted to move in together; that fact was for certain. The couple should settle in a place they both loved. They should build their own home. It wasn't as though they didn't have the means to, "Guess I'll have to get used to nice things with an heiress as a girlfriend."
"The most expensive things. Like that vacation of ours," Resuming their make out session, Alex nearly bounced with excitement. All the times Sean had brought it up, she never had the chance to give him a straightforward answer. Except, the kiss she placed to his lips should've been a clear indication of her intentions. The two would go away together, then they'd officially move in together. They'd enter their future, hand in hand. Nothing was in their way; nothing could stop them. She was beyond committed to spend her happily ever after with him.
"If I can afford to leave right now," With a huff, Sean collapsed against the cushions. After his involvement with Oversight and the rogues, there was a lot of cleaning up he had to do with the Seals. Kendrick's and the President's support helped, but not everything was explained away. Clean Sweep exposing his covert status and being Alex's bodyguard in Russia were just two of those unexplained and unsupported events. At times, it felt like he was simply working for his rank and trust back. Maybe he deserved that after the dirty dealings he had done. But he just wanted things to return to normal, and enjoy a simple, secret-free life again.
"Nikita said she's gonna talk to Kendrick about that. You deserve a break. It's not like you were ever actually on leave. And, we'll need all the rest we can get before we shut down Division," Finally, Alex mentioned what she and Nikita had discussed. Sean perked up at the possibility. The rogue could be intensely persuasive when she wanted to be. She had managed to get a honeymoon with her husband, after all. No doubt she'd fight for Alex's and Sean's romantic vacation as well. Even if they had tasks to fulfill at Division, they could still experience the things they enjoyed.
Thinking about Division caused some of Sean's excitement to wane. Something about still being around that hellhole didn't sit right with him. He never felt comfortable in that place. But without a mission, he just felt wrong. Percy was dead, Amanda was on the run, Oversight lost its power, and the black ops group was in the process of shutting down. He and Alex had served their purpose. They could let their team handle the cleanup as they lived in postwar bliss, "You serious about staying? We can leave. We don't owe that place anything."
"I know. But we owe the team. We can't leave them. We also owe the Division agents. We have the chance to help these people. I've often wondered what I wanted to do with my life. I could never figure it out. But helping Nikita and the others take down Division, and ensuring we all got our revenge felt right. I have the power to help people, and I have to do it. Saving people the government doesn't care about is what I'm supposed to be doing. I have to stay," Alex started to pace as she explained herself. She had said something similar to her mother and to Nikita. Helping others was her purpose. She had to ensure the former agents weren't abandoned.
"Can't argue with that," Actually, Sean could. Unlike the apartment, a litany of arguments built on his tongue ready to escape his mouth. There were so many other ways Alex could help people. She had the money and influence to do whatever she wanted. Division didn't have to be her charity project. Her family was avenged; she could leave. Nikita had even given her an out. Neither the Seal nor the young woman had to stay and fight. They didn't have to give their lives for that cause anymore. But Sean kept those thoughts to himself as he took her hands in his. He didn't want to dull the brightness in Alex's eyes, "So, where do you want to go?"
The second Nikita stepped out of the hotel bathroom, she hurried back to the soft, warm, sizable bed. She leaped atop the mattress, startling Michael from the quick and unexpected doze he had fallen into. The sheets had already been tousled by their previous activities, but the way she excitedly jumped didn't help matters. Her husband instantly pulled her down into his arms. That didn't stop her excitement, however. In fact, his hands on her made her even more ecstatic. She kissed him passionately. The spark of their lips woke him completely, and he held her tighter. She was all giggles as she muttered, "Hey, Mr. Mears."
Although she didn't like associating her husband with her foster family's last name, there was enough of a joking tint to her voice to make him roll his eyes and kiss her. Whenever Michael kissed Nikita, the world stopped spinning and her thoughts stopped racing. She didn't need to be concerned about anything when his lips were on hers. She could wrap her arms around his neck as he laid her on her back and kissed her senseless. Eventually, he pulled away from his wife, brushing his nose against hers and beaming, "Hey, Mrs. Bishop."
"Let's just stay right here. Let's never go anywhere ever again," Nikita sighed, her smile wide and bright. Michael chuckled, placing kisses across her neck and collarbone. Her fingers slipping into his dark locks, she kept him as close to her as possible. Little kisses and touches were shared across bare skin and relaxed muscles. That was pretty much how their honeymoon had been going. The newlyweds shared kisses and caress in bed, only separating for food or fresh air on the beach. The most important things in the world were in that room. There was no need for them to ever leave.
"What happened to helping all those agents? Didn't you say that they deserve the same happiness we have?" Michael just had to remind her. He softened the blow of his statement with tender kisses along her warm skin. Nikita's eyes drifted closed, and she let herself melt into the mattress. She didn't need to stress herself out by thinking about all the work that was awaiting them once they returned from their blissful paradise. She should live in the beautiful moment, only be concerned with her husband. The thought alone caused her to grin joyously.
"Why do I have to be so righteous?" The remark came off as more sarcastic than genuine self-admonishment. Nikita rolled her eyes at herself for just having to do the right thing. Michael couldn't help but chuckle. He added caressing hands to his gentle kisses, watching his wife react so strongly to every single touch. He couldn't blame her for that. He was incredibly drawn to her as well. Since they had officially gotten married, the electricity between them had been outrageous. It was as though their happiness was beyond contagious. They couldn't help but feel it in everything they did together.
"Let's make a promise right here, then," Michael whispered against Nikita's lips. She glanced at him curiously, wondering what exactly he was thinking about. Of course it was the same thing as her. Not only did they share a heart, but a mind and soul as well, "This moment can be the future we dream about to help us through the next couple of missions. When things get too difficult, we think about our perfect life together. We'll be back here soon. It'll be just the two of us in bed, kissing and smiling like nothing else exists in the universe."
Brilliant smiles were the only things keeping the newlyweds' kiss from being deep. It was no less passionate, however; their traveling kisses and caresses resumed. The newlyweds had had a promise like that one before. To get them through their rogue days, Michael and Nikita would imagine themselves married with a dog and a white picket fence around their house. The war was over and they were married. The rest of their dreams could fall into place. Once Division was shut down for good, they'd have their house and their marital bliss. Most importantly, though, Nikita could finally have the dog she always wanted, "What about a dog?"
"Just us and a dog," Once he kissed her lower abdomen, Michael amended. Nikita squirmed at the feeling, causing him to continue his actions. Her relaxed and sated state was quickly becoming over excited again. She wanted to roll around the mattress with her husband immediately. He kept her still with his teases, however. He was nearly smug about it, his trademark half smile gracing his features. She tugged on his hair to bring his lips back to hers. He didn't have time to chuckle at her eagerness before she kissed him feverishly.
"Promise," Nikita breathed. It was half an assurance from herself, and half a plea for him to always agree. Michael nodded, and kissed his wife even more passionately, thoroughly, and tenderly than he ever had before. Bliss carried the newlyweds throughout the rest of their honeymoon. The two hardly remembered a time they were so free. There had been moments during their war, but nothing so long lasting or as powerful. If their future was to be like that, then they were beyond lucky. They were going to be happy for the rest of their days.
