Hey guys! I'm back with my 25th story *cues confetti*! Can't believe I got this far already! Anyway, since I'm finally done with the semester, I can finally start a normal updating schedule over the summer! Updates on this and some of my other stories will be on Fridays, unless it's a special occasion or if life gets in the way, in which case I will post an author's note. In this case, I was just so excited that I couldn't wait. This update schedule does not apply to my collab story with purpledolpin05.

Enjoy!

"Once upon a time, long, long, ago," a voice said as an iPad opened. "Well, more like 20 years ago, Belle married her beast in front of 6,000 of their closest personal friends." The iPad showed a huge cake before a finger swiped it away. "Big cake. Yeah, so instead of a honeymoon, Beast united all of the kingdoms and got himself elected King of The United States of America." The finger swiped over the statues of Dr. Facilier, Lady Tremaine, Hades, and Captain Hook. "He rounded up all of the villains and sidekicks, basically all of the interesting people, and booted them off to the Isle of the Lost with a magical barrier keeping them there." The iPad showed a slideshow of the Isle of the Lost. "This is my hood: no magic, no wifi, no way out… or so I thought. Hang on, you're about to meet us, but first, this has to happen."

Prince Benjamin Florian Beast was looking out of his window as the tailor was fitting his coronation. In a little more than two months, he was going to be crowned King of Auradon. It was nerve-wracking, but not as nerve-wracking as his proposal for his first proclamation.

He turned his head as he heard his father's voice. "How is it that you're going to be crowned King in two months? You're just a baby!"

"He's turning sixteen, dear," his mother said. She had a point. According to tradition, the oldest child was suppose to take the crown at sixteen, even though the advancement of medical care had improved lifespans drastically. Still, Ben could see how after all his parents had been through, they did deserve an early retirement.

Despite his nerves, Ben mustered a smile. "Hey Pops."

"Sixteen? That's far too young to be king," Beast replied. "Why, I didn't make a good decision until I was at least 42."

Belle glared at her husband. "Uh, you decided to marry me at 28."

"Well, it was either you or the teapot," Beast teased. Ben couldn't help but chuckle as his mother rolled her eyes. "Kidding."

Ben took a deep breath. "Mom, dad, I have chosen my first official proclamation." His parents looked surprised, yet pleased. "I've decided that the children of the Isle of the Lost should be given a chance… to live here in Auradon." His parents looked shocked as his mother dropped a piece of clothing. Ben stepped off of the platform he had been standing on. "Every time I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned."

Beast didn't look happy. "The children of our sworn enemies, living among us?"

"We start out with a few at first," Ben continued. "Only the ones that need our help the most." Belle nodded along. "I've already chosen them."

"Have you?" Beast asked as he approached his son.

Belle held him back, sensing the tension that was forming. "I gave you a second chance." Then, she turned back to Ben. "Who are their parents?"

"Lady Tremaine… Captain Hook…" Ben listed, but he was a bit more hesitant before listing the last two villains, but he stood his ground. "... and Dr. Facilier and Hades."

"Facilier and Hades?!" Beast exclaimed, outraged by his son's choices. "They are some of the worst villains in the land!"

"Dad, just hear me out, here" Ben said, trying to keep his voice steady.

"I won't hear of it!" Beast insisted. "They are guilty of unspeakable crimes!"

"Dad, their children are innocent!" Ben replied, trying to reason with his father. "Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life?" The room grew quiet. "Dad…"

After a period of silence, Beast finally spoke. "I suppose their children are innocent."

Beast walked towards the door while Belle smiled at her son. "Well done."

Once they were out of the room, Ben stared at the island, hoping this would turn out well.

Yes, I know that I already made a Descendants AU, but I wanted to try one with younger characters too. Don't worry, I haven't abandoned The Frozen Chronicles, I'm just having a little trouble deciding which direction to take it. I'm probably going to get backlash for saying this, but I don't ship Honeymaren and Elsa. I just don't see any chemistry in between them, and to me, they just seem like friends. Besides, we don't know anything about Elsa's mother's family. For all we know, she and Honeymaren could be cousins. So, right now I'm debating whether to keep Emma's parentage as it is, or have Elsa be asexual and give birth to Emma via sperm donor.

But for now, I'll be working on this fanfic, as well as a few of my other stories. Hope you enjoyed this story! Feel free to leave a review!
